The move itself was not too bad. The men did a fantastic job. But attempting to make them remove the boxes and packag they  provided wasn’t so excellent. They scheduled into accumulate almost 3 weeks afterwards. I explained that I’d be out of one hour that day. They said to eliminate the boxes along with the packaging and then leave it to the drive. They did not appear. I received a telephone call explaining that they’d run out of time and I could leave them out for recycling or simply take them into the trick myself. Or they might! Be able to accumulate in a few weeks time. Considering they were quite nearly as pricey as Pickfords I expected better from them. Can you get anymore for the money than someone half of the cost? No, Id say maybe not. I wont recommend them since we paid a higher price for a better service. It’s now going to take me half an hour to re load the boxes back to my garage and probably about 4 trips into the local tip.   I was educated nevertheless that the boxes did say AT THEIR CONVENIENCE. Seems that as soon as you’ve paid your money they dont need to understand. And the price of these boxes being thrown off you cover in the Purchase Price!   Cost only over #2000   p.s. the pickup was actually Northampton and transferring 15 minutes down the street to Northampton.

The removal guys were very beneficial and I have no hestiatation in advocating them.   However on coming my TV screen was busted and the TV Wouldn’t work.   Unfortunatley I depended on Britannia’s insurance who do not provide new for old cover and also insist that the customer should cover the #50 surplus on the promise.     Six months ago I had an 18 month old completely working Samsung 42′ TV.   I’ve been provided #220 to substitute it!!

A catalog of mistakes too long to record here that has been among their most stressful experiences of my entire life.  I was so annoyed with this business which I wrote a website which you may read here:http://britanniaremovals.wordpress.com/2010/01/22/do-not-use-britannia/ In summary they> lied to me personally; manipulated increased prices; neglected to present adequate packing materials; supplied too little a container; were unprofessional; nearly had to pay penalties from the nation of destination as a result of bad packaging; I needed to pack the container together with all the men they shipped; they did not come out to look at my land; truck could not catch drive up; additional van charges; flaws and overall ineptitude. I accepted complaints to office of fair trading and global removals ombudsman. SHOCKING- do not use them!

Am still awaiting the shipping of my own container even thought it came 3 months back here in Blantyre, Malawi. Very pleased to take my money however, their broker on this conclusion doesn’t have any interest whatsoever in getting my things delivered. I’m left to my own devices to perform the clearing. Think twice before utilizing those men!!!

Totally disappointed, needing to chase them out of here, calling that the UK is more expensive. So buyer/purchaser recall!!

Original service outstanding from Client Support quotation to uplift of merchandise out of Bracknell. Everything went wrong on shipping in which they shipped two workers to sew a load which has been packaged by a mean of 6 individuals. Uplift 4 men in the daytime with a further 4 additional in the day. They did ship 1 temp to assist however he had been sent home because he had been causing more problems than help awarded. To be honest that the 2 workers who unloaded were outstanding and tried their best, of course to mention nevertheless that this was not likely to be sufficient along with the guaranteed service wasn’t delivered demanding me personally having to unpack the majority of the boxes despite paying for full support. On death I began to observe that they had neglected to place all of the furniture together and needed to wait for 11 days to allow them to come back to solve this problem. Additionally breakages were discovered when unpacking .It seemed that they had begun being really professional about shielding all fragile things but the packaging later in the afternoon was more sloppy therefore damaged products were down to complete ineffective security given into the damaged things. Whilst I take that issues might arise, it seemed to me that they attempted to perform the task to the cheap, thus the issues. It was compounded by the absence of any actual attempts to solve the issues. All members of employees who either packed or unloaded the shipping were exceptional .They proved seriously disappointed by their own direction.

Do not devote enough employees. Then they complained in their cover daily. I followed my possessions down the street watching my mattress dangling from the rear of the elimination lorry. They caused more than 1500 worth of damage. Yes I have half that sum in reimbursement but they never even apologised! I’ve since employed another firm to finish my own movement and realised exactly how bad this business is. Never again – and that I shall advise all my coworkers at the church to not utilize Britannia as is can not be reliable.

Right move advocated them since the only firm that could inspire me. Their quotation was extortionate so I said no. I am disabled so it looked like they had been out to make the most. Right move were clearly poor also. Only recommending a company that paid them over companies that may have been improved.

Our tomb came on time but it had been a trailer and had been only dumped in a residential road (which they then wished to leave there all weekend). I wasn’t aware that we’d be discussing this trailer with somebody else even thought we’d paid over 7k to them to get a door to door delivery, even once I called them I was told that this is the only way we could adapt your date and since we had to be from our home I had no choice but to continue. Additionally, I found at that point that they had subcontracted my movement into movers global (who had been really great ).
We had to cover over #400 for insurance that we afterward couldn’t assert on because we had any scrapes on our furniture and found it quite tough to find anyone out to estimate for repairs here in Spain.
Not a fantastic experience and I wouldn’t suggest them we paid high price for rubbish communicating on Britannia part.

I had been moving part furniture into my daughter’s along with the remainder in storage.
The guys ran from paper that the very first day so went home early. As soon as I began to unpack boxes we found no description of stuff along with my refrigerator contents have been in a box together with DAD’S &CD’S and photograph. T V wasn’t shielded or my leather settee. They’d employed my sheet coat as packaging and’d set his smaller TV into a box having a huge tin that scraped the display, as earlier with no security. As soon as I rang and spoke to the managing director, he was unconcerned and said his men were rather good at their job but that 1 chap was clearly not and afterwards we discovered a few of my photos simply placed in a box using nothing around them without security to the Base. Founded by director Glasgow 4 to 6 wks it required 8wks Glasgow into Spain. No communication punctually of merchandise arrives etc.. I then had been a box brief I got connected with Britannia Costa del Sol, they got connected with Glasgow and first time supervisor email to state found lost box and sadly, it is still in Glasgow. Can get it out to u as soon as we can. From 15thsept into the 14th Dec.. Not bad 3months. No communication from Britannia Glasgow. Will not utilize Glasgow again. Ps cut this story short select town Glasgow, delivery town Spain Costa del Sol. Not Bilbao.

We had the services of Britannia as part of our transfer to uk from Australia. Britannia had the task of draining our container and unpacking the furniture. We found the employees to be friendly and respectful. The job however, I had been far from pleased with. They don’t take care or utilize the right tools to unpack ie one employee had a stanly knife blade, perhaps not at the knife. Packaging was sliced open carelessly. Our furniture has endured many slits and profound cuts, our leather arm chair, wooden vest and appliances. We had a small charge to fix the seat and have since found a great deal more harm to our own furniture. We’ve also had paint balls taken from the doorways and banisters. Due to this I’d honestly not recommend this business to other people.

Engaged Britcal to perform a removal by UK to the USA – seven months after good seemingly still sat at the united kingdom, complete mismanagement of expectations. Explanation there’s been a substantial recession of action in your region which in plain talk means we can’t get goods for you personally and apparently they can’t put an expectation on timing frames. Really shambolic, I paid tens of thousands of pounds in total up front and never got the faintest idea when my products will return into the USA.

Britannia have been paid to package up and move us over 2 days. Day one they had been overdue and understaffed, just managed to package up one area of a four bed home, but still left early’to prevent the visitors’ saying they would be back quite early on going day using additional employees. Day two they had been even later, had no additional employees, were definitely thinking about getting packaged with time and people ended up needing to call friends in to help us package the whole floor floor ourselves. Despite being told them that our paintings would be the most important issue to us that they ruined nearly all of them – chipped glass, broken eyeglasses, scratched paint. None proved properly packaged. Some were even used as wedges in boxes to stay heavy things aside, extending the canvasses. They used my husband’s job suits as packaging material to get a cheap Ikea lamp. They snapped my kid’s kite in 2 to make it match in a box more easily. The list is unlimited. They essentially pitched everything into boxes as quickly as they can with no respect at all for their own possessions. Unpacking had been a nightmare as over and over we found more breakages. The owner did not seem bothered at all – no one at Britannia answered the telephone at any moment over both days of this transfer, although I predicted on many occasions. I got no apology before I made a criticism. I desired their boxes from my home when possible and ordered for these to be gathered, taking a day off work. Nobody arrived, nobody predicted, nobody replied the office telephone. I rearranged for one more day, same thing occurred. I gave up. I initially did not wish to use them since the owner said he kept the majority of his team on zero hour contracts. I needed to since they were the sole company available on going day. If this should occur in the long run I shall pack my home and proceed each stick of furniture myself rather than use this organization.

I’ve only moved from Aylesbury to Watford and I needed to write my own review after viewing the prior comment on this site! If I could give zero stars I’d have. Quoted to maneuver are furniture etc from our home at lincolnshire into Dubai, UAE. They packaged, hauled and hauled our whole 4 bedroom home with pure and care efficiency. Super impressed by Britannia dispatch to Rwanda in East Africa and back again. They have been super easy and made it all simple. Never having ordered this sort of thing until they explained everything clearly and linked us to local brokers. In reality they were so great I recommended them for my mom if she was moving home from the UK – it was not quite as much – but they still gave excellent personal attention and aid.

I recently transferred out of the usa back into the UK and also I can not suggest Britannia enough. My 36 6 and boxes suitcases came the way that they abandoned – undamaged and complete. As soon as I moved into the US 15 years ago using 8 boxes and two suitcases, they came damaged and one bag was lost, of course I used another business. Had positive encounters going with Britannia twice. After into the UK & we’re so happy with the support, I sought out them to transfer us back to Oz a couple of decades after. Our home move from France into the Cotswolds went without a hitch. At every end there have been access issues – from France it required a transport vehicle. The group by Britannia and the transport driver all came in time and worked thoroughly and quickly. Start time was 8.30am and that they had been in their way from 2pm. The united kingdom finish was slightly complex since it comprised a further drop-off in a storage website. But again the group worked speedily and the project has been finished at 4 hours. We transferred us out of the NY and France into London and supplied smooth service on both the events. These two motions were complex & hard and Britannia did an brilliant job. Our latest transfer in the Cotswolds to storage has now gone without a hitch. The team on the floor are considerate, friendly and quite professional, so nothing is too much trouble – that they excel in making sure the client is very happy and kept informed. Along with the office employees really are a dream to address too! I’ve absolutely NO hesitation in recommending Britannia since the Agency of choice – I’ve used others previously and have yet to be impressed.

Britannia have been a complete pain up to now. Our items were packaged up on 17th Jan – which went fairly smoothly and the staff were pretty helpful though they became noticeably irritable near the close of the day once they realised that it was taking more than they’d anticipated. Almost 6 months afterwards and the boat has not even left port in britain. I just got an email stating it’s leaving on 3rd March. We had been advised before signing up for Britannia that shipping could take 6-7 weeks. Utterly ridiculous. I attempted to take this up with all our contact in Britannia and she had been spectacularly unhelpful and only kept repeating that it might take around 12 months – that does not tackle the problem that we had been advised it would take 6-8 weeks and might not have used them had they been honest with us in the first location. It’s generated enormous issues with our movement into the United States.

I’d love to thank Robert Hurley of Britannia Movers for his or her help in our latest update to Australia and also the guys who packed all our possessions. They were very considerate, friendly and helpful making sure that nothing had been packaged which could cause difficulties when our possessions arrive at Australia. As our movement improved through the phases of packaging, loading and unloading it became apparent that the company has one major goal, its own profit margin. Two guys who were already tired unpacked the entire trailer and truck in a rush in 1 day functioning over 12 hoursper day. They didn’t even stop for supper. Clearly the guys were too tired and ought to have taken two weeks to achieve this level of effort. We had lots of problems with this organization but undoubtedly the greatest has been the bare faced lie that they told us to receive our enterprise.

They stated and I quote’if we pack your possessions into the crates in your house, they are sent to a new house still from the crates they had been packaged in’. I took this to mean we care a lot about your possessions you’ve got nothing to be worried about.

When actually our possessions were unpacked from these crates and passed over to some 3rd party for them to send on Britannia’s behalf.

When our possessions arrived in our new house they had been scattered throughout the rear of the lorry that delivered them.

My girlfriends craft box which included years of artwork stuff e.g. buttons were anywhere.

My kid’s dolls home was in many pieces, again sprinkled round the rear of the lorry.

Our cherished art that we observed them bunch up in blankets wasn’t any more in blankets, many frames were chipped or marked.

Two dining table legs have been broken off the desk, one seats legs were also broken.

To which I replied”No thank you I’ll have my things removed and saved someplace else”

As soon as I informed Richard Fischer (General manager) I had been having my things removed he became really unhelpful. Not responding to emails, not reacting to the Recently instructed elimination firm’s emails especially after organizing with Richard that he’d communicate with them so as to make the process efficient and also to receive my products out of the way as fast as you can.

As a last resort we needed to get London Head office ( Britannia Movers) to intervene and get Richard and his staff to publish the storage container amounts and information via email so that the brand new removals firm could go and gather my products.

I couldn’t think to what extent Richard and his staff went to attempt to tear off me, fortunately I had the money to cover another removals business to go and gather and store my merchandise as I had been informed by Richard that when I do not collect my goods they’d simply continue charging me in the new rate that was twice the estimated speed.

This organization and their employees do all possible to get your company and then when they get it they twice the prices and in certain instances because you can see on the opposite testimonials triple them!!

I tried to learn from Robert Dance who’s the managing director of the division how this company dating went so horribly wrong. And his reply was”Richard is coping with you, I’m not interested, you’re not keen to cover our costs and have opted to take away your goods. Robert didn’t need to answer any queries to why the last cost was twice the initial quotation, it was like he had been dealing with this type of difficulty on a daily bases.

Do not go anywhere near the corporation! Not for removals, not for storage, not for whatever!!

I had a partial movement from Glasgow to Rome. Once I left a fuss I had been grudgingly reimbursed #200, a portion of what I invested in rearranging flights and journey as a consequence of Britannia’s error.
Decision LAZY: My possessions finally came two months as soon as they abandoned Glasgow. I flew back early from a vacation to be in Rome for the new delivery date. At 6pm that day, the delivery driver called to say that he could not get in my road since the truck was too large, so he had been carrying my things to some warehouse on the outskirts of Rome. By now I had been at breaking point. Happily he arrived later I begged, cajoled, and bribed him. Not surprisingly, the truck wasn’t really too large for the road.
*EXTREMELY CARELESS: Lots of small pieces of bothersome harm; dent in my toaster, chipped plate, ruined image frames, dirty marks on a lampshade and the mattress. I stupidly did not take out their insurance so as far as Britannia were worried, it was not their problem. I’d foolishly expected that a removal firm will view it as their obligation to move your possessions without hurting them. I was incorrect.
Decision MORALLY BANKRUPT: Within my tight movement, 1 thing was regrettably’missing’. The merchandise? A Playstation 4. Everything else arrived, such as the games to the console (that I’d put in another bag). It just so happened the one lost thing has been a #300 games console. What were the possibilities? Very high, it sounds. Make of that what you may.

Are Britannia the lowest priced alternative? Probably. But using a #200 refund, I still paid #1300 with this farce. But in case you opt to go for them, do not include anything remotely beneficial on your packaging (in might get’lost’), consider each kind of insurance which you may potentially discover, be VERY flexible regarding delivery times, do not use their’wrap’ support (where they throw things in a box and hope for the best).

Or do yourself a favor, pay a little extra and use another firm. I really wish I had.

Overall a fantastic experience in proceeding. We had all our effects transferred by seafreight a couple weeks before finally moving with crucial items consumed to the previous day before elimination taken by airfreight.
