They’re useful and accommodating beyond my wildest fantasies. Their rates are small; their support is great. They appear on time; they also operate closely; they operate fast; they allow you to pay any way you would like to. I urge them, for certain!
LET THE REVIEW BEGIN! I’ll be logging on each day till we’ve got our furniture and it’s all accounted for and scrutinized.
^^^^ Now is 7/7 – 24 hours in pickup – STILL 5-STARS:)
Got a call yesterday at 3:45pm from dispatch, kindly alerting us into some 7/8 pickup. She told us she would give us the next call now at roughly exactly the exact same time to provide us a”time window” for if they are picking us up someplace. Super helpful!
^^^^ Now is 7/6 – 24 to 48 hours from pickup – STARTING @ 5-STARS
Up to now, the quoting and arrangement procedure has gone smoothly. Natalie has been fantastic to use. We started this procedure on 6/9. Transferring from Santa Cruz, CA to Charlotte, NC. We’re quoted $7K to get 1,411 cubic feet (according to their stock sheet along with our really cautious measurements and counts). We’ve been told we’ll end up getting picked up from the truck either tomorrow 7/7 or even Wednesday 7/8.
Stay tuned to get a day-by-day update!
FMCSA criticism – Large Ben’s Moving and Storage DOT #2564827 I recently was heading back through the transferring damage movies and noticed that one of those things I advised the delivery movers in drop off was overlooking classic art part was delivered into my living space after which STOLEN from the exact same movers”Brandon” who informed me it wasn’t placed on the truck. Brandon even went so far as to compose on the stock record the thing was lacking WHEN HE KNEW FULL WELL HE AND HIS PARTNER”John” HAD STOLEN IT RIGHT OUT OF MY LIVING ROOM verifiable by picture. Big Ben’s Moving and Storage delivered thieves into my house and billed me tens of thousands for the traumatic encounter. I might have been murdered. I need the next 1) reimbursement of cost of prohibited provider, damaged heirlooms, for stolen things. 2) CRIMINAL CHARGES BROUGHT AGAINST THE THIEVES AND BIG BEN’S THE COMPANY WHO EMPLOYED OR COLLUDED WITH THEM who never return any of my telephone calls and emails Concerning the prosecution and experience. 3) PUT THESE BUSINESSES/PEOPLE OUT OF BUSINESS SO THAT NO OTHER CONSUMERS ARE SWINDLED, HURT AND ENDANGERED AS I WAS. Police report filed. Complaints with Attorney General and BBB registered as well.
I was quite disappointed with this organization. Their sales representative looked great until he obtained the purchase, then borderline radio boom once I continued to have queries. I had been told I would not need to cover something which was not transferred (when my cubic footage real move was less than my quotation I would not be billed for the distinction ). The contract stated we’d be billed for the quotation till we had the quotation upgraded 7 days beforehand. The sales representative told me only to call a couple of days beforehand to upgrade the quotation and it’d be nice (notice I’d requested to get contract language amended before signing up to guarantee this would not be a problem, and he explained it’d all be okay ). I phoned and he advised me to upgrade with shipment, and dispatch stated I could only update with all the movers on site. The movers themselves were so fantastic –really efficient and fast, and managed everything with caution. But when I had been told I’d nevertheless be billed the complete price of this quotation although I had nearly half of that which had been at the quotation, I had been put in contact customer services. The broker was beyond impolite, and then said they’d audit all of my calls/emails along with my revenue representative to find out whether there was a discrepancy from what I had been told vs. what my contract said. Nobody called me back. I have repeatedly asked for an upgrade to the approximate footage number to be able to submit a claim predicated on each of the inconsistencies for this corporation. Customer support required over a week to call me back to tell me that I could discover the cubic footage onto a record I was never awarded. I wouldn’t ever suggest this provider again purely due to their terrible customer support. It is quite disappointing since the movers themselves were fantastic, but what from an admin standpoint is terrible for this business.
Please do your self a favor and steer clear of this provider. We attempted to save a little cash and ended up with lost and broken possessions and paid $2000 over we had been quoted. Additionally, they did not inform us and used a”sister company” called Great Moving who had been HORRENDOUS and also have 1 star reviews on the internet. At the beginning, we had been offered by speaking to Joe on the telephone. He advised us that delivery could be 7-10 days, 7-14 times maximum. I am conscious that the provider lawfully has 30 days to send things, but he assured us that this was”quite rare” and stated there was a truck headed our way around the road anyway. We overestimated the amount of things we’d after the first quotation from Joe. Meaning that we ought to have had space for all of our items from the vehicle, right? Wrong. When the movers came, we were advised that our mattress, desk, bookshelf, AND desk seat were greater compared to the estimated sum. We ended up having to pay over $600 additional to send the mattress and decided to leave another furniture rather than moving it. With respect to moving day, they first told us they’d arrive on a Friday. Then, the night before, they called for a record test and happened to state our move date was Sunday (great thing no one advised us). On Saturday morning, they called and gave us 3 hours warning that they were coming. This is to get a cross-country move no more. The subsequent 3 weeks have been a wreck concerning communicating. Our items were taken to a warehouse in which they sat for months. At one stage, I called daily, and the girl on the telephone explained our items had not been loaded on a truck nonetheless. A couple of days afterwards, on a Friday, another girl said our things were loaded 4 times before. When I were told otherwise. Meanwhile, they wouldn’t answer the telephone, I left a voicemail with Joe and he never returned my phone. Long story short, the things arrived 3 months later. The driver altered the drop-off day three days last minute (at a stage saying’see you now’ and then not showing up). When they came, we had a lost grill, broken bed, and broken headboard. Boxes was opened, the mattress was completely unwrapped. They also refused to put on a mask despite it being the law in our county and overcharged us to get a shuttle in spite of the fact that they may have fit their truck within our region. Awful. Please prevent.
