    Long-distance move from Illinois
IT IS A SCAM DONT FALL FOR IT!!!!

My husband and I needed to relocate immediately in Illinois to Texas. I talked with Louis who kept reassuring me that everything will be fine and not to worry. We put down a 200 dollar deposit and got the ball rolling taking the bare minutes. To get a quotation of 1200. A week after the cost jumped into 1500 Louis stopped answering my calls and my truck”broke down” and they said they would”not be able to” transfer my items since they”dont understand when the truck will soon be moving again” I also found, after more study, they’ve just 1 MILE TRAVELED THAT THEY’VE REPORTED TO ISDOT” I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS MEANS THEY DONT USE THEIR OWN TRUCKS AND THEY WILL SCAM PEOPLE. They Ought to BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR RUINING THE LIVES OF FAMILIES TO Earn Money. I still have not gotten my money back. Thank god they didnt go my items (Jesus blocked it). I am now reporting on them into the BBB.Louis is no more answering my calls and also the men and women who do answer the phone hang up on you and refuse to provide their name. I was originally told I’d get my money back and it has been a month and still nothing. If I could give less than one star, I really would.

    Should go out of business!

This has been a horrible experience for the moving business!! I will begin from the start.

As I had a last minute change in plans per month before me moving, I hurried to hunt the web to get a nice estimate for a cross country move. I inputed my advice on a site that direct to get a telephone number to contact mepersonally. On Wednesday, August 30th at 6 pm after a Lesly phoned me by the telephone number (636)-305-4105. She had been the person who was suppose to place my transfer date for October 3rd at 4 pm, and that’s once I was also told they’re a complete service moving company and I can anticipate my items 7 to ten days after pick-up. Great! Things appeared to be going nicely! WRONG! They were able to call me to a list list, and if they did I had been active at the time but called again 10 minutes after for them to inform me that the woman was busy and could call back tomorrow afternoon. The following day was Sunday October 1st, that’s when Costello phoned me to inform me he’d be at my home tomorrow morning (Monday october 2nd). Unprepared to get a day early, I phoned again and said you guys aren’t advised to be here before Tuesday Afternoon! The reply that I got was”Well, I am currently in Michigan and at the statement says Monday or even Tuesday. Therefore, we will see”. Not hearing anything rather than knowing when they will appear at this time, I start to frantically get all of my last minute things done in a hurry. Tuesday, October 3rd at 3:40 pm that I get a telephone call stating that the movers have been tied up with a different customer so today they will not hesitate until Wednesday morning. Now, I retained my job before the day that I left, so now I am missing earning money for the huge move to remain and await the movers.

When they eventually reach my home Wednesday afternoon Costello was that the head man to take care of my purchase. He’s in and begins telling me that he must charge me extra for packing my bed, television, dressers etc after I had been told complete support! He asked where did I see that and I mentioned it was correct at the contract Lesley delivered me. He requested to visit and if I moved back into my mails I might no longer recieve the first contract because it stated please phone customer services. He Then told me that I had been acting mad and making up things and that he treatened to depart before even getting something began. When he eventually did begin he chose the stock and didn’t take clear notice of it all that finally made it tough to determine when I obtained everything or never. He kept trying to tack on charges, He informed me when I wished to bring a mirror that it would be 35, once I declined he stated it’ll only be 5. I dropped again. He then included things about the vehicle”for free” once I told him these things did not need to move.

Fast forward into the next week once I believed I could begin anticipating my things. Not hearing anything out of your moving business, I chose to call. No one replied so I left a voicemail with my title and reason I had been calling. I recieved a telephone call minutes later to some woman who greets me by saying”Hi Kimberly…. I don’t understand why are phoning me. You’ve got a send date of this 10th” ( it had been 12th) yeah, fantastic CUSTOMER SERVICE!! NOT!!

Now fast forward to Friday October 20th. My mother was connected with all the movers because I’ve begun a new project in my new house. They had been at Colorado (proceed was to Arizona) and that I could anticipate them next week some time. Wednesday the 25 we receive information that the truck resigned in Colorado and now we must watch for a truck to pick up my possessions for the rest of the transport.

Oh yeah, forgot to say that they tell you they can take up to 21 business days and strain which interval. But today once you sabotage them their moment is coming up they tip out that the contract really says 30 business days…

Nobody may continue to keep their facts right now since now 3 months later they’re nevertheless in Colorado but they need to be in my home FRIDAY NOVEMBER 10 after only telling me about the telephone they’d be here Sunday that the 12. They eventually arrive at my home November 11th evaporating over everything and anything. They acted like it was their very first day at work because my headboard drops from the truck since the open the truck door. I later discover that they snapped one of my posters in a glass frame. I figured it out by locating broken glass. They totally trashed my framework rather than actually attracted me my poster again. Never said that they broke it and probably pitched it around the side of the street.

When they came several of my things were wet and damaged since they were moist. Also found out they dropped among my boxes that included my Red Nikon D3200 DSLR camera. As soon as I called to ask about it Costello started asking me for never packaging things properly and that I need to have bought additional insurance.

I wouldn’t recommend this business to anybody! They’ve HORRIBLE customer support. Their principal focus is to earn money, not joyful clients. All these will be the worst people I’ve ever met! I hope that they go out of the business. I wish to bring this can be a present adventure! All dates are of 2017!!!

This isn’t any means to conduct business!

    Broker Scam

Luis is a complete crook! Individuals, would you study and use a respectable company! I’m livid because I reliable luis and finest in city moving!! Those dirtbags with no consent contracted my transfer to a very different business – mind you, this brand new firm had entirely different terms and arrangements. I had been quoted $1473 out of luis, also I left a $221 deposit that brought down my total to $1252. The contracted firm”kangaroo van lines” had distinct terms and arrangement. Tried to charge me almost $2000 on the place!! I am calling luis, no response. nothing! These men from the new firm loaded my things, refused to unload them. The authorities wouldn’t intervene. The whole time, I am phoning luis, and seeking to have a hole od anybody from finest in city moving so that they can vouch in my benefit with this new firm, which I didn’t authorized to be sub-par from a builder! Not to mention, the new firm did not even have my residue. I haven’t been able to get in touch with finest in city moving in any way! Called almost 50 times the previous couple of days! The folks are crooks! I don’t have any idea where my possessions are, when they’ll be delivered, and totally broke my bank accounts for all these scammers. buyer beware. Please take you time and perform thorough research prior to employing those sleazy guys!!!!!!!

This isn’t a moving business. These are agents. Along with your deposit? Yup, goes directly in their pocket. Not to the actual moving company those crooks join you with.

    I’m disgusted!

    DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! This moving experience was completely HORRIFIC from begin to finish. These folks are LIARS, CROOKS and also each and every box is going to be sent smashed/damaged. Please allow me to save you the frustration and frustration — I need somebody would have cautioned me.

It began when they showed up to pick up our things — they initially quoted us 2200… which inexplicably became $3700 the afternoon of their pickup!!!! They advised us that we’d”far more boxes than we’d initially recorded”. It’s possible to argue with them all you need, but if you do not pay, they won’t pick your stuff up, so what choice did we have.

They advised us 7-10 day window for shipping…. This became 18 days after.

They informed us they’d give us 24 hours notice if they were planning to deliver our things. All of a sudden, we’ve got a call in the motorist stating that they were 40 minutes off. No warning at all. Fortunately, we had been home.

EVERY SINGLE BOX WAS SMASHED AND DAMAGED. EVERY SINGLE ONE. Each one of the boxes which was tagged”delicate” were wedged and smashed under thicker bigger boxes. The boxes actually looked like a man had jumped on them or dropped out of a roof. I was in complete shock. Numerous items, such as our amazing West Elm sofa, were ruined and broken.

But worst of all. We compensated for full”full service” — assembly and disassembly of our furniture. The day of shipping, 1 MAN showed up — that is it. Please let me know how one individual is supposed to unload 40 boxes, a mattress and bedframe, and also a big white sectional sofa?! We had been made to assist this guy unload all of our things. We didn’t get the entire disassembly and unloading support which we’d paid for. This bad man showed up and no one told him that the was likely to build our furniture, therefore that he had no tools with him.

We had to push to Lowes and purchase gear ourselves to be able to place our furniture collectively.

This provider won’t provide us some type of refund. When we explained that our expertise, they began YELLING AT US and stating that everything was our fault.

Do yourselves a favor — look elsewhere. This is a dreadful moving firm.

    Do not reserve!!

First off they’re extremely fine before you book the truck & then become really unprofessional. I advised a transfer a specific afternoon & it had been pushed back after. Then the next time that the driver did not make it into the storage on time although I specifically said that the storage shut at a specific moment. Then I placed two & two together. All these [EDIT] kept stalling since they had yet another movement & wished to do both in precisely the exact same moment. They refer to this because the piggyback reduction. I consented to the transfer anyway simply to have them phone while in the storage to bill an additional $1,000 for 5 boxes which I”did not” mention. I most definitely did. Long story short I cancelled! Don’t suggest them whatsoever!!!

    Received no service

I signed a touch with Best in Town Transferring 6/15/15 for about $2776.00 to get a transfer in North Carolina to Arizona and supplied a deposit of $555.20. I advised my movement to 8/20/15 or even 8/21/15. They advised they’d telephone me 1-2 days before my move date. Best in Town Movers never called. I phoned their centre 8/21/15 (800-817-9303) many times with no answer. Eventually, Justin that the Logistics man answered the telephone and informed me that they had been in the process of transferring their workplace. He offered me his mobile phone (954-496-56**) and guaranteed that he is going to organize my move to 8/22/15. However again no call no show. I called the office, also text and called Justin without a response. After phoning for many hours a person answered the phone and informed me that they won’t be performing my move with no explanation. It is they worse service I’ve ever needed. The have neglected to repay my deposit or even provide an apology. I needed to be from my house that after weekend and needed to contract a fresh inspector in the previous minute. I needed to pay an additional $1019.40. I thought Finest in Town Movers must pay me the additional out-of-pocket price and also my refund of my deposit.

    VERY VERY VERY POOR

Don’t use this business! They over charge you,and they don’t clarify what additional fees they could charge you.You can not get a hold of anyone and if you do leave a message, they never return a telephone call. This is actually the worst moving business. Be aware I am in the process to sue this corporation. Plus they won’t delivery our items since they claim we didn’t cover half, and we did..And we delivered evidence of this sum we paid.If and if they do shipping our items if there is any harm to our items. Watch best in city moving business!

Please Read - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I’ve not ever written a review before but I felt compelled to frighten prospective customers after my expertise. I’ve officially filed a claim with the organization and also a complaint with the Department of Transportation therefore I’m quite serious about those allegations. A concise collection of my own complaints against the organization would be as follows… 1 ). Reduction – After launching boxes full of personal things, I understood that my evaluated $800 classic pearl necklace was stolen. 2. Damage – Following the movers constructed my mattress and left I realized that my box spring had been painted and soaking wet. 3. Delay – My pickup date was 5/29/2015 along with my possessions weren’t delivered before 6/22/2015 (Yes, 25 days after ) 4. Overcharge – My first quote was 1050, nonetheless upon pickup I had been billed for packaging charges ($128) and gas surcharge prices ($101.28) although those weren’t included in my quotation and the business was well aware of the anticipated distance/fuel expenditures and had a more comprehensive inventory of my things. Both fees must have already been accounted for within my own quote.   5. General criticism – My pickup and drop-off were subcontracted to Preferred Relocation Interstate Moving with no approval or knowledge. Throughout drop-off that the 13′ moving truck got stuck beneath the 12′ branches of Lower Wabash Avenue causing substantial harm to the bridge and also truck (I advised shipment of this height limitation via telephone and composing double ). Subsequently the drivers asked to get a”generous hint” because they’d be held accountable for the harm to the vehicle. On account of the substantial flaws in my delivery, I talked with members of this firm 15 days and the amount of disorganization was astonishing.

Avoid this company unless you have no other option.

I recently chose in New Hampshire to South Carolina and contracted with American Van Lines (AVL). AVL sub-contracted the project to Best at Town Moving. The first pickup was a couple of hours late, however, functioned nicely with a couple of exceptions.

The primary exception was that a price jump of approximately $1600 in the quoted cost. I anticipated this could happen because of the manner AVL does their first quoting, so that I will not hold this from the business too much. AVL came straight back and diminished the brand new quote by roughly $600. The second exception has been that the petition to get a major tip in the motorist. It is entirely unprofessional, when a suggestion is deserved then you will be given a hint. The next exception was that the motorist’s continuing emphasis that I pay to get a person’s check rather than using a debit or credit card. His rationale was that the charge card company costs them over the amount it charges to acquire a cashier’s check. Again, this is only completely unprofessional. Beyond those items, the pickup proceeded easily.

I will notice that I packed all of my own goods, and also Best in Town Transferring just supplied blankets and other stuff for furniture items that had to be wrapped. The driver has been the exact same for the two delivery and pickup, however, the loading/unloading aid were distinct.

The shipping is really where things went south. The anticipated delivery was originally about seven days. The afternoon prior to the anticipated delivery I still had not received any communication in the driver so that I needed to telephone AVL. They talked with the driver that said he would need to re-schedule. The shipping has been postponed by a day or two 4 different occasions by the motorist. Delivery was a week late, and about the previous day of the shipping window. To their credit that the truck failed to appear over the two hour shipping time period we advised. Upon arrival the motorist complained that AVL was phoning him several times each day (that I greatly enjoyed given his absolute lack of communication).

The driver and his helper started unloading the vehicle, and paid no respect to the materials or fragility of their boxes. Big, heavy boxes have been filled along with clearly marked fine boxes leading in the boxes and their materials being crushed and disoriented. Dish/glass package boxes have been dropped (with a few breakage) like publication boxes. I am beyond glad that I took the opportunity to package my own merchandise, because with no doubt that averted lots of additional heartache and broken products.

Since the boxes began coming in we found that lots of them were crushed or torn, such as TVs/electronics, dishware, and wine bottles. The majority of the boxes have been deceptively placed together with all the harm concealed to the trunk so we would not see, however, we did. I discovered a couple of boxes that I did not pack and informed that the motorist, who acknowledged that the first boxes were so badly damaged that they repacked them. Later on we found that the top part of all of our bookshelves were ripped away. I am assuming they were not properly secured from the vehicle. Two of these were left off, and the next was re-attached. It seems that the motorist went out and purchased super adhesive, and completely glued on the best back onto it. Unfortunately I can not attempt to correctly fix it today without ruining it. I am guessing this might have become the reason behind its secretive delays. Again, I can not help but be grateful that I packaged things myself. This time round the motorist did not even cite a hint.

All in all of the business was devoid of any concern or care for those things they had been hauling, and participated in some fairly sleazy and deceitful practices. I would never ever suggest moving for this corporation. I will be following a claim for the damaged merchandise. In the event you proceed with a national van line, confirm what company will in fact be implementing the transfer and be certain to look up them before agreeing.

The name itself is a brand

Best in city moving is experienced professional in the subject of transferring people’s possessions from 1 location to another. It’s not surprising that I hired them for my transfer out of Lodi, NJ to Brooklyn, NY. I’ve always wished to live in NY but my friends always told me how expensive the town is. Happily, I do not need to scout for inexpensive furniture because Best in city moving has successfully transferred all of my furniture into my new flat in the center of Brooklyn. Whether all my stuffs match into my flat or not is a completely different matter. For the time being, I highly recommend Finest in city proceeding, their new is unbeatable.

I have a lot of fondness for these guys

I must relocate across USA every couple of years for my occupation. My final move was from Lodi, NJ to Atlanta, GA.. I hired Finest in city moving since I can not manage the strain of needing to relocate on my own. I need to give them credits – their job was impeccable. Everything was packaged perfectly and packed onto their glistening new vans. I know that this business has not been in operation for too long but that they definitely are not any newcomer. They supply services which are outstanding. My stuffs attained Atlanta safely and in time. What else can you ask out of a moving company?
