Long-distance move from Prescott Valley, AZ
    AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!

If I could give them negative stars I would! This was a dreadful experience from begin to finish. We hired Bekins to perform our transfer in Prescott, AZ to Phoenix, AZ.. After the team showed up to package and load things from the van, the team consisted of an older gentleman, an extremely pregnant girl and two teens that were totally useless. The packaging took (readily ) twice as long as it ought to have. Then, the sum charged to our card has been nearly $1,000 MORE than what was quoted. They never even talked to us about, just went ahead and billed the card. I disputed this with my own lender, but since the contract states it might change”a few” later pick-up, they’re pretty much able to charge whatever they need. I called the office several times attempting to obtain an itemized reciept along with the secretary simply told me”I will get to it once I get to it”. I still, to this day have not obtained the itemized reception I inquired for.

Afterward, the DAY they were assumed to deliver our products, I get a call from their office AFTER they were already supposed to be there saying when I did not pay a second $2,000, they wouldn’t release our merchandise for shipping. I already had help awaiting the shipping, so that I had been made to pay the sum to receive our items.

I’ve contacted a lawyer to attempt and recover some of the tens of thousands of dollars in additional fees. However, I felt complelled to attempt and save somebody else out of this insanity.

    Awful!!

Myself along with my brother in laws were the team as no assistance was ever found. The motorist was here from 8am – 6pm. Among my brother in laws worked hand in hand from 9am until driver left Together with furniture and assembly motion and everything. My other brother in law was here from around 2pm until motorist left, and I had been here all day.

Bekins said to my wife on the phone which we would be refunded $50/hour for everybody who assisted, but by email they contradicted themselves and said that it was not per individual, but general.

We also actually fee like Bekins let’s driver down also. They weren’t able to get him a team. Or a shuttle (that he ended up not needing).

I paid out of pocket to allow him to find an Uber to extent out the street to confirm he did not require a shuttle. And we also bought him dinner and lunch in addition to talented him a $100 gift card for sticking with us the whole time with no support! This had been the only way we can show our gratitude into Freddy.

Nevertheless, the entire ordeal put everyone back. The truck came Thursday afternoon but couldn’t secure the funds to its Friday delivery. Our initial plan was to proceed in Friday and also have family support to unpack Saturday so that now we’d be settled enough to go back to work. But rather we proceeded in Saturday and were afterward with family assistance, meaning we needed to attempt to unpack with 3 kids and no assistance. We needed to take an extra day off work to adapt that. And also my brother in law that had been here all day was just completing his own movement (we’re leasing out of him, so he moved out and we moved in). He dropped a day of going into his own location to assist us.

Bekins answer was that we just wait for Aaron to telephone us, but it does not feel like there’ll be much in the method of reimbursement for the inconvenience this has generated not just me but my extended family too.

Everyone we talk to with Bekins appears either not communicated in their own positions (right hand does not know what the left hand is doing) or requires some questions we ask as a personal assault of authenticity.

As we’re in Connecticut where there’s compulsory two week sifting for individuals coming from Texas, we’ve been here for 1 week and needed to effectively reset our quarantine phase because of needing to act as the team for our driver, who’s an exposure hazard given the character of a truck driver stopping at truck stops etc.. This particular reset of quarantine is forcing us to additionally reschedule any Personal things like school excursion for enrollment for our children in addition to procuring times to transport our vehicle and drivers permits locally.

From start to end, it has been a dreadful experience.

The driver was not initially available for our secured in loading date therefore another team was discharged with a shuttle in which it might sit for two days. That team was two hours late and did not have resources to disassemble furniture!!! Additionally tried shaking my hands while it was already mentioned to the firm that I am. Immunocompromised and have been in the middle of a pandemic!

    Bekins South Florida

Wish I’d have researched company and reviews. Packing was dreadful, abandoned matters, nevertheless Don’t Have things and I transferred from Fl into MI,

I would explore them before employing. Communication is dreadful, was advised they’re topnotch movers. . I didn’t find that whatsoever. . .May need to file complaint with service that tracks movers. . They state 3-8 days delivery from select up.That isn’t accurate, blessed I ever see my possessions. They speak a fantastic talk..be cautious prior to hiring, bad experience all together. The guy who did my quotation, told me how good Bekins is, I haven’t seen that whatsoever. . Quite disappointed in their lack of professionalism, caring about the movement, will definitely research pursing legal actions. Other firms have improved standing and reviews..They left things in house in clear sight, so I had been occupied repacking as how broker told me to package and movers distinct way they desired it. Wanted to charge me for taping a box??? . It’s shame that through this COIVD-19 crisis businesses not performing there part.not certain I will ever see my things…

Move from AZ to WA State

The packers were exceptional in Arizona. Had much prized glass, mirrors, paintings and lamps and not one was damaged or broken. Crew loading was also outstanding as was catalyst that took it the entire way. Rec’d load once they said they’d send and accomodated a day delay to match me. Crew unloading were really hardworking and capable. A number of those wrapped furniture needed rub harm but not awful. They did split the leg onto a dresser and it likely can’t be repaired. They place a twist in it to maintain it on that is gruesome but practical. A bit of veneer was also torn off at a wrapped cupboard. I don’t consider the majority of the damage unmanageable but for the leg onto the dresser. Overall, although not an ideal movement, it was a nice one.

    Horrible damage

I transferred from WA country to Ohio ($29,000). Half the team did not show and that I needed to depart the afternoon before they even finished as I’d prepaid all of my hotel bookings. The overflow delivery has been 3 months afterwards. Several costly antiques were ruined. I recorded and took images of broken/shattered products. I didn’t obtain any compensation to’high value’ decals boxes since there’s a disclaimer that reads,”all things comprising the contents recorded previously have been opened and now I certify and acknowledge receipt of the aforementioned items… and came safely at same state as at source.” WHAT A SCAM! I wouldn’t ever recommend this business. Totally obsessed with their own ripoff strategies. My 4400 claim led to a $1293 settlement.

    None Better in Illinois...

Bekins/Boerman’s Van Lines, out of Woodridge, Illinois is excellent!! I’ve utilized their services twice, the next time for an interstate transfer from Illinois to Arkansas, and the two time that I was very happy with their solutions. I utilized the assistance of their spare in house estimator, Mr. Joe Hagemaster, and his quote was dead on, not a cent more, instead of this on line estimator that’s so quite imprecise. I even trusted them to take my brand new Jeep Renegade, and they sent it with no marker on it!! Fantastic quote, adaptive scheduling, fantastic communication, ideal and timely shipping. . .and every worker, by your estimator, to the motorists, not to mention the loaders and unloaders, were kind, considerate, and VERY professional!! Every question I asked was answered exactly (and that I ask a good deal of questions!!) And frankly. I really don’t go out of the way to depart reviews frequently, but once I encounter top notch support, I need others to get the chance to go through the same. If you Want to moving services from the state of Illinois, or an interstate travel FROM Illinois, then I HIGHLY recommend Bekins/Boerman’s Van Lines from Woodridge, Illinois. I’ve used other moving solutions previously, but NONE can compare to the professionalism and quality of Bekins/Boerman’s out of Woodridge, Illinois. :-RRB-

    Horrible company

Bekins is a dreadful business. Don’t use them. I chased over a month beforehand and the day prior to the transfer they didn’t have a truck for me personally. . Finally they stated they had a truck and today its been 14 days without a term, no shipping, no truck plus they do not understand where my possessions are. . They sell inexpensive because of this. . To fool people into using their support understanding beforehand they’ll do a horrible task – cover the excess and employ a fantastic firm.

The worst company they don't care about your belongs

I was quoted one price but has been billed an additional $1200 which I’ve been asking a breakdown of the extra charge free of success.
I had their guys bunch my TV’s and paintings. My 65″ TV was damaged beyond repair and they reduction an oil painting in addition to full size fox statue, brass towel holder. They ruined my dining room table and chairs, a huge mirror. They complete me my 65″ TV weights 15 pounds. I sent them advice that it weighed 75 pounds. It made no surprise that they needed to pay me $9 for the 65″ TV in different words .60 pennies x 15 pounds = $9.
They shipped me a check for settlement in total in the amount of $213.60 where I didn’t take.
They don’t send anybody regarding your claim. You do all of the work and they believe you will settle for nothing or little.
I have a person’s 50″ TV along with a pressure stove, which they stated nobody has maintained.
It is more economical for them to pay.60 cent per pound. Then to get the rightful owner since they’d need to pick up the product and send it to the proper owner.
I’ve asks for name and contact information for those owners that were about the exact same moving van with my proceeds. I need to call and inquire if they’re overlooking a 50″ TV. I understand they will not.
I’ve composed the Corp headquarters double it is the only real way to have some response in their promises department. They do not wish to reply and questions they simply need a fast settlement.

    TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, TERRIBLE COMPANY

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE AND NEVER USE THEM. EXPENSIVE AND AWFUL. Bekins”forgot” to load two bits of carefully-marked furniture which had sentimental and classic price. They ruined a classic gilded mirror by multiplying it should go at a mirror box rather than a crate. They sent boxes of unwanted publications that I now have sitting in our garage. The guy who took our order got fired prior to the dispatch got accumulated and he’d all of the pertinent data that was subsequently dismissed. We purchased insurance, but are now told that doesn’t apply to them departing things which then were disposed of with the cleaning services. A terrible experience and I expect nobody else suffers this exact same way.

    Do your homework

This is but a fair warning for anybody else who’s considering using Bekins to get a cross-country travel – receive the priciest insurance provided and maintain your stock newspapers! Perhaps even create your own inventory.

My first consultation in Oakland had been nice. The packers and movers and also the man who was the direct inspector in Oakland were fairly wonderful.

But then after that as the expression goes”it had been all downhill”. They have been mainly just pretty awful about communication – I presume since they outsource to local moving companies and also are coordinating with numerous various moving parts.

I needed to keep phoning to learn my delivery window and date in Brooklyn that is such a hassle when you are moving hello and actually was not certain who my principal contact person was in the point. In addition, this is not my first time going cross-country. I have had a few better encounters with Altair but that I also had the very expensive insurance together since I proceeded with a business so when something had been ruined or moved wrong, they simply cover it and fix it.

My really costly motorcycle never made it on the vehicle from California to New York. I’d storage for a couple of months before sending my things east and I have seen other men and women say to be cautious what you shop in their houses. I am not certain if and if it got discharged but this sounds the most likely response. But since I just got the insurance that’s 60 cents a pound – that I just got $12 because of my promise of 1000. BEWARE WHAT INSURANCE YOU Pick.

My mattress slabs also did not originally make it but luckily they discovered them onto the bigger truck. Glad they did as I would not have gotten some money for it.

Additionally, I ended up with somebody else’s baggy shelves because a bonus – I really expect that individual got the greater insurance.

Anywho, this is a great website to see a great deal of mad reviews about these consumeraffairs.com/move…

Mainly just seems as though they’re cluttered and if you don’t purchase the most expensive insurance you are taking a real possibility with your stuff.

    Many missing items

I would not ever utilize Bekins again. Transfer N CA into E PA.. I’ve had 6 significant moves and that is actually the very first time that I am missing things from furniture to kitchen, decor, clothes, garage. Their reply that they adked everybody involved and all said they didn’t have my things and there wasn’t any evidence I’d them. Additionally their insurance just covers for virtually any harm should they really pack things.

    Deceptive business practices!

E hired Bekins predicated in their good faith quote for our relocation. This quote was granted in our house following a thorough review of their possessions. Bekins sent two people to package our 5 bedroom house, among whom changed everyday and was frequently their FIRST DAY ON THE JOB. THE PACKING WAS SHODDY AND THEY STAYED AT OUR HOME TILL 11PM the night prior to the transfer. STILL DID NOT REALLY COMPLETE THE JOB. The loaders and also my loved ones were still packing the morning that the truck came.

Upon arrival in our new house we had been advised that the sum could be 40 PERCENT MORE and that we needed to cover at least 10% of the ON THE SPOT or our things wouldn’t be unloaded. I contacted Bekins for months attempting to solve this fiscal dispute, and once I eventually obtained a callback, they stated because it isn’t a binding quote we needed to cover what they promised we owed. I’ve spent weeks in dispute together just to wind up paying nearly 30 per cent more than just quoted. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ENGAGE IN DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES AND You’ll Have NO RECOURSE Aside from A LAWSUIT. Save yourself the hassle and is located and locate a respectable mover.

    Worst Experience

We’ve done four significant moves cross country in my life we’ve used several big corporations with hardly any matter. This final move we selected BEKINS to move from Miami to Los Angeles. This is been the worst adventure from begin to finish. Not only were they unable to get sufficient space on a single truck for each of our things, we needed to await another shipping truck to come a week after with all our remaining belongings. Throughout the course of this transfer several things were ruined like a spin bike, two floor lamps etc…. However, the most alarming thing is that I had over $24,000 value of luxury watches and jewellery stolen out of me. When I requested to get a record of all of the titles and contact info for the authorities report that the moving company wasn’t able to provide each of the titles of the folks which were in my property. They permitted prohibited Packers and movers within my house. It is quite unsettling understanding that the individuals haven’t had background checks done and could steal my things with no company knowing who these people are without having the ability to monitor them. Complete invasion of my privacy and safety of my loved ones. These individuals could probably return at any given moment to my house in order to rob or hurt us. I made a police report and filed a claim with the moving business and all they need to do is pay for $445. That is completely ridiculous and it will not stop here! How do a significant collaboration enable people into your house without credentials? Not acceptable. Not authorized. Not ethical.

    Beware! Hire someone else!

I hired Bekins in October 2017 to transfer me out of CA to CO.. I made the choice based on three quotes I obtained including Allied and United. Though they were undoubtedly the most expensive of the three, the salesman who came to my home took his time going over what needed to be transferred which gave me gave me confidence that they’d do the very best job. There was just two extremely important things that I quizzed him around several occasions. One being when the transfer would be straight from my existing house to my new house. I was told yes that it would. Another being the shifting of my classic Triumph bicycle without harm. I had been confident that nothing could happen. I needed a direct transfer because of all of the horror stories I’d read about what happens to home contents when they’re moved to a warehouse, they sit there, and then they are reloaded again. In addition, I have firsthand knowledge of what occurs having worked in logistics for ages. I had been given assurances repeatedly on both reports. When I inquired what assurance I might have along with his sentence, I had been advised that I must purchase the zero auto insurance with complete replacement, the shipping delay punishment, and boost the estimated price of these contents to pay the bike. As soon as I made my choice, I bit the bullet and paid the extra $500 to purchase the extra coverage. Thus far so good right? WRONG! On the afternoon prior to the transfer is scheduled I receive an email telling me that they haven’t discovered a driver yet and they’ll be picking up the load and carrying it to their warehouse until they could locate a driver. I instantly begin phoning the sales rep that will not pick up my calls or return my voice messages. I email the transfer coordinator along with the sales rep saying my concern with the numerous managing which is going to be occurring and ask to boost the entire worth of their home to $45K and include an extra $15K only for your bike. Additionally, I filled out and apply an”Items of Extraordinary Value Lease Form” to your bike. While everything has been loaded I supply as much specific management as I can into the foreman about the handling of the bike and request him to ensure that he assists when its being reloaded in the warehouse. To start with, even though I had awarded a three day shipping window, my first load was sent 15 days late and that I think that occurred just because of my constant bugging Bekins since I had been living to a blowup mattress and 2 plastic crates. After the load was eventually sent, there were a range of things clearly damaged such as smashed boxes, broken tables, ripped items etc.. I had been requested to sign a shipping approval for the bike and advised that they could not render the it unless the record was signed. I have done a visual inspection immediately and also signed the paperwork to save more handling of the bike. I contacted the transfer manager in IN concerning the damages and that I had been told I had 9 months to submit a claim. After that, I found additional harm, a few of those shrink wrapped things were opened and things missing which were indoors, and also the worst thing of all, once I put gas back into the bike and proceeded to start it, it began quitting gas anywhere. I registered as complete and comprehensive a promise as I could, followed up on all of the requests for further information, quotes, etc.. Following that, the procedure has become a living nightmare. I had been reimbursed for just a few of the things with a few of these at reduced prices (what occurred to zero allowance complete replacement?) . A few of the products weren’t covered at all and that I had been told there wasn’t any evidence they were sent in the first place (basically calling me liar) despite my describing these were things out of the opened shrink wrapped bundles. I moved out of my way to find an independent mechanic instead of moving directly to some Triumph dealership that would not just charge a arm and a leg but could cost a few hundred bucks in transportation charges because the bike isn’t rideable in its existing state. And despite me supplying a report on the possible harm and quote with that mechanic to the bike, I had been told that there is no evidence that the gas leak was caused from the transfer (again calling me a liar), and that I took too long to submit the claim (what occurred to 9 months?) , and that there was no evidence that the bicycle worked when it had been picked up (again calling me a liar), and I did not offer any information that the harm occurred because of mishandling (LOL seriously?) . I supplied emails encouraging what I mentioned, I had been informed, and happened, and my replicated and frenzied protests to the final minute change in programs which the move was not likely to be picked up and sent straight. Oh and also the claims management team apparently does not care a disgruntled customer will probably be reviewing the business on the internet in a negative light and breaking up the company many, a lot greater in lost revenue compared to the few hundred dollars to repair the issue.

    Items Broken

Bekins transferred our family by FL to SC. Things were wrapped and packaged subsequently kept in their warehouse for many months before bringing to SC.

Upon launching and unwrapping our shipping, we discovered 3 spinning sticks from 4 which had just been wrapped in newspaper needed the tips broken off. Spinning rods price approximately $75.00 eachyear.

After calling Bekins about that, We shipped us a check for about $ 6.00 and stated we ought to have paid them that the exorbitant quantity of insurance that they attempted to sell us.

We do not know why somebody that manages your precious furniture and other household products, need you to cover the things which they are going for you.

Don't use Bekins! Incredible damage, inadequate response.

I advise that you don’t utilize Bekins Van Lines, or even the parent firm Wheaton Worldwide Moving, for practically any movement , ever. Our latest movement with Bekins, and also the following inadequate reaction to our harm claims has just been our worst moving experience, ever.

We transferred from Ashburn from Northern VA into the Raleigh, NC region. This is a rather large movement, moving out of a 4,500 sq feet house in Virginia into some 3,300 sq ft house in North Carolina, together with storage in between. Timeline: package, load, and continue to 180 days storage at transit at VA had been June 16-17, 2016; transition into permanent storage had been December 13, 2016; along with the last shipping and closed in Cary, NC has been March 29-30, 2017. The quote for the transfer was $18,411, for example three weeks storage in transit, however excluding FRVP valuation. Last cost was much higher because of an additional six weeks of storage and also FRVP coverage. (Note: We don’t have any complaint about the price of this play, only about the harm )

We obtained multiple quotes, and we picked Bekins since the salesman promised us that the packers were together for several decades, were”like family,” and that the storage has been climate controlled. They also appeared to be flexible regarding where and if to put away our home products so as to minimize overall expenses. This is an out-of-pocket movement, and not even a corporate relo with restricted option, and we picked carefully. However, we chose badly.

We’ve moved several times before using nationally-known movers (Mayflower, United, Graebel, Allied), in addition to local movers, and never needed more than just a couple things missing or damaged. Together with the Bekins movement, the quantity of harm was just astounding. Just recording the harm to create a claim wasn’t simple — the promise record of 35 things (using item # with brief description of thing and harm ) is just four pages long. (There was more, but we only gave up adding into the record after a time.) An addendum using photographs to record the damaged things took the following 35 pages. We needed to FedEx the promise paperwork, since it was too big to send through email.

A few of the highlights (or lowlights) contain:
    * The storage has been *not* weather controlled, along with also the”like family” packers did a bad job. The end on a lot of the furniture ended up with breaking and crazing because of summer sunshine, and several things were damaged as a result of insufficient padding or packaging.
    * A few of our boxes and furniture were really bombarded with storage, leaving flooding water marks on our upholstered furniture, and wooden and metallic objects broken and rusted.
    * Many guitars and other musical instruments at cartons were also flooded, together with all the cartons revealing clean water damage.
    * Among the legs on the base dining table base was broken away, presumably as soon as the table has been dropped.
    * A glass-topped coffee table, for that we paid particular handling, was broken in many places.
    * An electronic piano has been wrapped so closely it had been ruined.
    * decorative furniture (a hutch, dining table, coffee table, and desk) had the end rubbed off the borders, or had the very best surfaces gouged, as a result of insufficient padding.
    * Many wooden things (hutch, secretary( dining table) needed ft or knobs or table borders broken off.
    * Most image frames were ruined as a result of insufficient packing.
    * A lathe and drill press have been ruined and are not usable.
Decision A 12-foot fiberglass stepladder was not delivered.
    * Practically 180 cartons have been sent, however, only 118 were really unpacked by Bekins; we compensated to get a complete unpack.

The whole sum of our missing and damaged things assert was $28,013, as we paid for total value replacement coverage (FVRP) at each stage of the movement. Bekins offered only $1,655 because of payoff –a little repair allowance on just five things –amounting to less than 6 percent of the entire replacement value of the broken objects. Not only is that ridiculously small in comparison with the true replacement value of the damaged things, but it’s merely a little portion of those over $5,000 that I paid into Bekins to get FVRP coverage. Despite apparent photographic proof of all damage, and despite the fifteen damaged items mentioned right on the home stock, signed by me along with the driver in delivery, almost all else was only denied. The bombarded and water-damaged couch and ottoman – refused, no excuse. The dining table together with the leg cracked off – refused. Basically, nearly everything that has been ruined – refused.

I won’t ever work with, or recommend that anybody else ever use, Bekins Van Lines or even Wheaton Worldwide Moving.

    Long-distance move from New York
    Morally dubious claims department

We hired Bekins to get a transfer in New York to Denver. The true movement procedure went smoothly – that the motorists showed up on time on both the ends and also unpacked the luggage without a lot of fanfare (that can be the main reason behind the only star).

But during our relocation procedure, a bin wasn’t sent and the driver didn’t check the box off to the”stock control sheet.” (Throughout the transfer, the driver and the client use this sheet to track all objects and guarantee an entire shipping.) He said that he’d come back to the depot to search for the bin. He was unable to find the bin and instructed that we publish a”tracer” with this particular bin, which we organized with headquarters to perform. Thus, we never assessed the box to the lost bin.

We didn’t hear farther from Valve so filed a dispute letter concerning the lost bin. A few weeks after, we received a note from the claims division suggesting that their documents”suggested that everything had been sent.” Regardless of how the box to get bin #103 was obviously not assessed, we hadn’t filled out our ribbon in a box around the ground, so they have relied upon it to try to discount our argue. The first block instant reads:”Were all items delivered?” And even though we didn’t fill out this with either a”yes” or even a”no more”, they have used this to to dismiss our missing things. Watch attached claim form. Shame on us for not filling out the base left kind one manner or another but pity them for supposing that this negated the truth that this overrides the unchecked bin #103 above.

We’re obviously disappointed at the results and will soon be following-up together to hopefully attain a satisfactory settlement. We all believe that the business has graduated in its dismissal of the claim based on particular information regarding the stock management sheet. We’re especially dismayed because we paid an additional $250 bucks for insurance.

In complete – smooth movement day packaging and packaging, but morally suspicious and even unethical behaviour as we are attempting to find a lost bin.

We moved from IL to PA.. The movers arrived on Friday day and packaged the furniture along with the possessions. They drove the vehicle into Springfield IL and put it at the warehouse. On Sunday afternoon, an ex-employee using a drug dependence (that they knew about for many years ), broke in and exceeding 80 percent of our substance. Never to be retrieved! It had been an inside job between among the movers along with the drug addict. He got custody and that I obtained bogus promises and broken arrangements from Bekins. The Springfield, IL centre was not obstructed and had no detectors. I travelled with Bekins to a referral by a friend. Worst choice in my own life. Caused me a lot of heartache out of losing whatever. Was in therapy for breast cancer right before this occurred and the strain was unbearable sometimes. NEVER trust that corporation. They’ll tell you things and NEVER follow through. I’m still living the nightmare while the medication addict/ex-employee is alive. And they still charged me to the movement!!!!!!

Please do yourself a favor and steer clear.

My husband’s company paid with this inspector, therefore I didn’t research them sadly. They gave us a 5 day shipping window and missed it by a single day. We camped in our empty house waiting for them to come for six days. Our moving rep was stubborn and even hostile occasionally. After we finally unpacked all of our things, we discovered items broken and missing, but most upsetting was that a lot of my jewellery went lost. Their movers packaged all of our things, so it is difficult to picture that the jewellery was”lost.” Obviously, much of it’s sentimental value, such as the rings I wore in my wedding. I’d much rather have my items than reimbursement, but imagine my outrage once I was offered $280 as compensation for my 1100 claim. I’m heartbroken over my lost items, but I am shocked and angry at the incompetence and immorality of the provider.

AVOID BY ANY AND ALL MEANS. BIG RIP-OFF: improperly packaged items (some perhaps not even packaged); broken objects galore plus 30 boxes STOLEN.
Never had difficulties over the years together before Bekins chose ITS GLOBAL for worst tragedy move EVER: abandoned fridge behind; proprietor Doeneka got enraged when we phoned to remind him to pick up it; employees clogged toilet, abandoned urine and feces all over flooring of toilet; etc..
NIGHTMARE COMPANY IN HANDS OF INCOMPETENT DOPES.

Long-distance move from Las Vegas, NV
    READ THE FINE PRINT

After I was initially quoted for my transfer in Las Vegas to San Diego, the Bekins representative explained that the weight of my things was nearly 6,500 lbs and the price could be approximately $6k. The company that I’m working for has been paying for the transfer, but I like to attempt and keep prices down when I could because it is not my money.
The movers came 4 hours late and needed to package items so fast because I lived at a bonded home made and they just had access to the elevator and getting door until 4pm.
After they dropped off my items in the new location in San Diego, I inquired what the true weight of my move was because they were still saying I owed the $6k. They said my real weight was 3,500 lbs! So I basically felt like that they are only sticking it to the client since everything is entered to some calculation for”quote” purposes. I inquired how the weight might be so far away and they gave me the deer in the headlights look. Since they were only the movers, they really didn’t understand what corporate has been quoting and or why. Seems to me that if the broker who came out to give me the quote essentially does not have any clue what burden of furniture has been, so to estimate a line from the film Casino. . .either you’re that dumb or you’re in on it!
I am certain they’re given some incentive reimbursement on the greater the moving cost.
Worse is that when you call and call and call and call, leave message after message after message that you receive no reply which only infuriates me because I’m in the customer support sector,
Second thing is that if you get to unpacking items and you find broken products. Oh joy Oh joy
Bekins needs receipts of the things they broke. Well, because they broke mixing dishes and crystal wine glasses, odds are I did not keep the receipts because the products were nice when I got them home in the shop. To add insult to injury, they’ll just pay you .60 pennies per pound to the things broken! What a F&%king joke! My crystal wine glasses were near $50 per piece!
    I’ll have the final laugh.
Posting all of the on social networking and writing reviews about how terrible the client support is using Bekins.
And because the company I went to work for is hiring individuals from all around the USA to come work here, I’ve already told the HR why NOT to use Bekins for any of our brand new team members arriving on board.

Long distance move from Chicago to Texas

My long distance transfer out of Chicago, IL, to Texas went fairly easily because of Bekins Van Lines and Paxem, Inc., that supplied the packers. The quote given to me personally by Bekins was precisely the amount I had been billed, so I’d no surprise from them. The movement went just as planned and all dates and times were as quoted to me and also agreed upon. Everybody in the procedure did their best to meet me–the client. Everything arrived safely and all the employees was professional and respectful.

    Don't Expect a Full Delivery

I travelled with Bekins according to an overview of local movers. Bekins does do exactly the very long haul, but they use local businesses too.

To begin with , I paid for it movement myself. The move itself came in at $1300 over the estimate that impressed me, because I got rid of my own Living Room, Dinette plus a single bedroom collection. My endpoint did shift, but by roughly 700 milesper hour

The people who packaged my home and that delivered the last boxes where quite professional. There where lots of knicks and scratches that I’m dealing with, but this was anticipated in my part. Little was really”broken” beyond repair, and never having transferred myself before, this was okay.

My main gripe, is that Bekins dropped my side railings to my King mattress collection. This can be tow 8ft from 8in bits… not something readily dropped.

After about a month of waiting, I decided to speak to the bedroom maker and fortunately managed to find the negative rails substituted for a minimal price. I place a claim to Bekins to get that replacement price deducted. Bekins provided to pay me $12 for the period and reduction. I find this completely unacceptable and unsuitable.

Again, I truly dislike evaluation a business on just 1 aspect… that the remainder of the movement was fine. However, to reduce my side railings, essentially earning a bedroom place unusable as a place if they couldn’t be substituted, and being so cavalier… really irks me.

Bekins takes no action against incompetent racist employees

We experienced a corporate transfer cross state with Bekins. Prevent Bekins if possible. If anything goes wrong, as occasionally matters, they really do an awful job of adjusting it. I have had interstate movements with specialist businesses before and while it is always a hassle I have never had anything similar to this adventure with Bekins. I’ve been left to resolve they’re still an unethical and incompetent firm.

For all of us, once the motorist turned into a day late and Bekins did not do anything about it apart from providing us contact information for a set of folks that were in concept”assisting” mend it but none appeared to have some idea what was really happening or who was doing everything, I had been worried. But then the driver showed up and that I became much, even more worried. Instead of supervise the fool children packaging the vehicle he chain-smoked, pitched his butts and crap around our land and invested his time following me around and trying to make conversation with me
His subject of conversation soon moved into a focus on the way he despises (insert racial epithet to get Latinos) and also they should not be allowed in the nation. He thought I would be interested in his remarks that I don’t have any idea; I had been attempting to keep your eye on this idiots transferring my things because clearly he wasn’t. We eventually got the truck loaded and he abandoned. I ended up and lost the smoke butts, drink containers, and empty cigarette package they had tossed over the driveway and yard so that the new owners would not need to. Disgusting.

We did not hear in the motorist (good with us!) Until he has dropped during the transfer. He then called me repeatedly to get instructions, even though my pointing out because I did not live there however I did not know the region whatsoever. He did not receive a GPS or telephone his firm I don’t have any idea. Our brand new street is twisting so that they intended to offload liberally and then push in a number of trips in a more compact truck. My spouse and I aren’t living in the new home, are brand new to the region and do not understand it whatsoever. This time the motorist phoned my husband repeatedly to inquire where in the region of our new home he can park his truck to ditch it and if various areas were appropriate for him to invest in and outside within his giant truck. Like my spouse (who isn’t a truck driver!) Would have some idea.

The shipping was just like the pickup nevertheless worse. This time the driver did not use racial epithets for Latinos. That may seem like an advancement but rather he associated with my husband how he believes”The (racial epithet for African Americans) are fine”. He enlarged on this point, again, amazingly, utilizing the identical racial epithet and then proceeded to discuss the way he believes Donald Trump is good (certain, not proper conversation but he is certainly entitled to his own view. Again, why he felt compelled to talk about it I don’t have any idea). He moved on to discuss the way he murdered someone breaking into his home whenever he”snapped his throat”. He moved back into Mr. Trump and he consented to maintain all the Muslim immigrants outside as you can not anticipate them.

Obviously, my spouse is truly a Muslim woman so this transferred the situation out of horribly racist and offensive to honestly threatening. It was not assisted by another inspector who spoke his passion for firearms and he believes we ought to all be carrying these with us, particularly within this region. But, finally, they left and we all expected we’d not be required to bargain with Bekins back again. No such fate. After we eventually got everything sorted out it was apparent we’d extensive damage to our own furniture and that many things were only gone, despite being checked off on the record by the frightening driver.

This is actually the worst part. I understand mistakes and mistakes happen even in the very best business. Nevertheless, I believe you can find a true sense of just how great a provider is actually by how they manage it once they understand something’s gone wrong. That is really where Bekins the business completely failed us. I composed my lost and damaged merchandise and also came up with more than 10,000. I recorded each of the values along with the harm but Bekins essentially stated,”too bad.” They sent out some guy to”record” the harm and estimate fixes. I don’t understand how he believed he could assess hurt when he never got within five feet of those bits of furniture and just looked from 1 side as our objects all had hurt on several sides. Perhaps his aim for the fix was supposed to appear great enough from over ten feet off? I don’t have any idea. I have included a photograph of only one of the ruined things – that is a headboard which had deep scrapes similar to this on front AND back and scratches and scratches on the borders. I don’t have any clue what they didn’t hurt all of the sides – and we’ve got multiple bits that look similar to this.

The last insult from Bekins arrived after they gave me less than 25 percent in reimbursement and stated it had been my own fault for not quitting the movement when matters were going poorly rather than realizing the motorist had stolen (oops, I mean lost ) my things regardless of his assigning them as all sent to the paperwork. Sure, he”lost” an extension ladder. Right. We had reported to Bekins in regards to the driver early on – it must have been so clear to those who this man was a wreck and either pulled off him or done anything to protect us. Rather, once the predictable harm and losses have been identified Bekins refused it and stated it had been our fault. They indicated if the motorist was improper and incompetent we ought to have said”wait, horrible bigoted frightening man! You are not doing a fantastic job! Allow me to predict the corporate Bekins office a few thousand miles off to get directions about the best way best to cope with this.” Nice. That is a guy who spoke about carrying firearms with him and murdering people. And I am supposed to do exactly what? Unreal. Further, once I pointed out about our Bekins representative that there’s not any mobile phone service in the home he stated we still should have predicted (I suppose using our bewitching phones).

Afterwards the driver confessed to falsifying the paperwork but Bekins nevertheless did not care and mentioned the issues (oh, I suggest the”struggles” – that is what Bekins will phone with a racist motorist that steals and damages that your possessions ) together with the transfer were our issue, not theirs.

I’ve requested my Bekins representative at least four occasions to allow me to understand how Bekins has coped with the behaviour of the motorist, such as concealing things, damaging land, falsifying paperwork, along with utilizing bigoted and racist terminology. Our representative could only say he would”look into it” but so much as I could tell no activities were ever taken, leaving me with the decision Bekins does not have any problem with any of the employees activities or stereotypical behaviour. Not a business I wish to support!

Due to the bad service my company has dropped them as a favorite moving agency. Stay far, far apart from Bekins. When there’s whatever goes wrong, they’ll leave you and there’ll be nothing that you can do on it.

    BEWARE OF BEKINS

I hired Bekins to get a transfer from CA to WA, During the transfer of my dispatch, at least 50 percent of my things had been damaged badly, dropped and that I shall go as far to say, there’s clear evidence that they were tampered with and pilfered throughout.

While an interstate transfer can be stressful alone, you’d hope you’ve retained the services of a respectable firm. BEKINS or even WHEATON, is NOT one of these! They’re somewhat less than professional, don’t have any apparent training of Customer Support and will provide you NO”FAIR” choices when searching for assistance or clarity (beyond their first baiting naturally ).

The Manager of the Claims Department, Laura Pung really offers her unique and innovative abilities in claims handling and Mentoring using a power-point demonstration online which truly say”Claims 101: Sorry, but there is nothing on your coverage about honest. An honest is where you choose a pig to win a prize”. Nice… I still can’t feel that Bekins / Wheaton finds this an acceptable demonstration or clinic, even after such was brought to their attention. It is possible to research up this demonstration online yourself beneath Laura Pung, Claim Creativity… where it says”WARNING, Claims Adjuster with an Attitude” (no uncertainty ) and”World’s Greatest Claims Adjuster”, a normal God like syndrome mindset.

My losses and losses are as a direct effect of both Bekins GROSS NEGLIGENCE. The very last thing that everyone would anticipate would be to take care of a claims department which does not respect FAIR in their company PRACTICES, dependent on their own entrance! It’s my perception that an Adjuster is needed to exhibit”DISCERNMENT”, and it will be an equilibrium of contract authorities and clients satisfaction. An claim agent has a responsibility, in good faith, to research and resolve claims immediately and”FAIRLY” for an insurance and claimant, not find approaches to fool or refuse provisional coverage in a bid to reevaluate their exposures. This is a breach of the FIDUCIARY DUTY!

Bekins has you register another Bill of Lading compared to one which is recorded in their respective disciplines. BE AWARE, this provides them alternative strategies to prevent their accountability, it sets it”AT THEIR OPTION”, none as advertised. Bekins will put your shipment at a storage/warehouse, not advise youpersonally, in addition to lie to you about it. When you request for particular details on those facilities, these will require weeks to obtain, in the end! They utilize subcontractors (as stated by the FMSCA they have a fleet of 1 beneath their DOT number). They don’t inform you that subcontractors will be utilized, nor will they provide you their advice or DOT amounts when requested, despite it’s demanded of them to supply. They’ll deny you that their harm accounts (s), forms, operational processes and investigation information saying that all of these are internal records along with a”Breach of Privacy”… for that? Their movers, their warehouse, their sub-contractors, their Agents…? This is really a Breach of apparent entitled disclosure and Fiduciary Duty by means of Bekins refusal and activities! This advice is to be provided according to their particular Tariff and from the FMSCA along with the Federal Department of Transportation.

I’ve lost thousand according to getting my things carried via this corporation. I’ve gone right to the VP of Claims, John Weissert along with also the CEO Mark Kirschner who won’t even give you the courtesy of an excuse or inspection of your missing and expertise, even once you supply evidence.

I’ve discovered BEKINS is trustworthy or unreliable. They market”Trust goes a long way”. BEKINS IS A SCAM business and you shouldn’t trust their solutions. It is possible to search throughout the net in relation to countless complaints of the SHANTY DECEPTIVE Business dealings. It is possible to discover lots of suits also, luckily LOST from Bekins for just those reasons. Please don’t be fooled, they go under several titles, they’re partnered with Wheaton too. BEWARE OF BEKINS, you might experience exactly the same as if I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anybody!!!

    Delivered Early and Below Estimate!

I hired Bekins to perform complete packaging, loading, hauling and unloading.

The agent that arrived at my house to perform the first quote was educated and personable and supplied a timely quote. Following that, communication wasn’t the best since I needed to phone and follow up to make sure my dates and occasions were both scheduled and booked – once I did this, however, answers were normally coming along with the customer support representative agreeable.

My driver, Daniel, who also did the packaging, loading and unloading (together with the help of a help at every end), was superb. He (and his helpers) worked really hard, at the warmth of the South, for everything accomplished in a timely way. He was personable as well as throughout transit, held in contact me to make sure that delivery occurred in a timely way.

Finally, I ended up receiving my delivery before schedule and the last cost was well under the first, not-to-exceed quote.

Provided their costs stay competitive, I’ll utilize Bekins again for the next move.

    Bekins Burned my Belongings

I’ve discovered Bekins Moving & Storage is undependable. They market”Trust goes a very long way”. In my situation it just went as far as loading my items into a single of the moving trucks but not delivering because of a fire at the van. I dropped all of my possessions, such as household products, clothes, files, and individual products. The fire department says that the fire resulted from mechanical failure and began near a bicycle and disperse to the van. The motorist failed to see the truck was on fire before it had been too late to rescue my possessions. I’d bought insurance via Bekins to safeguard my freight. I had been told that it had been full replacement value security, but have discovered it’s really to discharge Bekins from accountability. It won’t pay my losses. My advice would be to decide on another firm for your relocation. By the beginning of the movement in Maryland the motorist was cluttered, unhelpful and also the regional men contracted to assist him kept telling us he did not understand what he was doing. Fast forward seven days and on the opposite end at Palm Springs CA he revealed and immediately struck the glass front of a 5000 classic bookcase. Since the remainder of the furniture arrived off the truck that the harm piled up. All 5 classic pieces had any harm. Local men that did the heavy lifting stated the truck wasn’t packaged correctly, with a few of the bits not even wrapped. Just like all business, it is from the public, and also we have been assigned someone which shouldn’t be doing this particular job. Sorry Bekins, however you’ve got to cause your own people. Long Distance Move From New Jersey

Bekins/Wheaton Van Lines uses sub-par packing businesses. In reality, two things were left in my yard, one disappeared and a little group of things were abandoned in my previous residence. Though they market daily loadings from New Jersey to Nevada (where I now live), Bekins/Wheaton won’t return and complete the job. Things were hauled in two trucks that came at my Las Vegas home more than a couple of weeks apart. The men and women in their claims division were incredibly rude, entirely unhelpful and never in a hurry to return a telephone call. The real movers did a fantastic job, but the other employees I dealt with were dreadful. If you’re making a long distance move, do your self a favor and look elsewhere!

    Pricing Game

Allow Me to start by stating that the movers/drivers were professional and did a Fantastic job!   I commend them for working so hard in the 105 level Phoenix heat.
The good thing however is that I had a horrible time dealing with a last minute cost increase because of *extra* labour costs on a Don’t Exceed quote.   Bekins attempted adding a $500 fee to get a nearby carrier truck because the semi couldn’t get in to our cul de sac. When I denied based on the quotation the sales rep Offered to me that they said they’d just charge $250 however, the movers could take everything up the road manually instead then obtaining a shuttle.   I had been told however that the fee could attempt to be waived on account of this quotation saying Don’t Exceed.
I played with a continuous game of speaking to my sales rep, the local dispatch office in Tucson and business in Indy.
Following one month of moving back and forth, obtaining a statement which didn’t even add up to exactly what they were telling me I was being billed for I eventually obtained a partial refund in my $250 upward charge.
It’s too bad that the people at Bekins who sit behind their desks can not function as professionally as individuals who do all of the heavy lifting and driving around state.

    Disclosure of delivery time

We moved across state from Texas to Washington DC. In the time of registering the contract, we had been advised we’d find out the delivery date a few days prior to the pick up date or at the latest the day of pickup.   Bekins stated that they had a 10 day window to provide the Products.   They delivered inside that window but just gave us 4 days notice for delivery date.   We had to book the loading dock in the apartment complex beforehand. We discovered late Tuesday of a Saturday delivery in DC.   They intended to deliver our things on a Saturday, busiest day for transferring the pier was already booked and not accessible for our transfer.   The earliest we can book the pier was Tuesday morning.   So Bekins needed to store our belongings, but their warehouse does not accept deliveries on Saturday. Hence the stuff remained on the truck before Monday. They off loaded our items on Monday, saved them overnight, then sent them the following morning. They charged us an extra $836 for a single night’s delivery and storage. IF THEY HAD TOLD US OF THE DELIVERY DATE WHEN THEY PROMISED ORIGINALLY, we might have booked the pier and wouldn’t have had to cover the extra $836.00.   Once I complained about their process I had been advised that it was my obligation to have the pier readily available to the movers to the whole 10 day window….something that’s not possible to do.
I am very disappointed at the movement with Bekins.   If I’d known the results Beforehand, I’d have gone with another firm.   BE CAREFUL ON CROSS COUNTRY MOVES,  receive all the probable prices estimated beforehand EVEN if they state that it probably won’t occur, have them inform you beforehand so that you will know up front your potential overall price.

    Very disappointed

Though there have been several positive elements to the movement the shipping experience was quite disappointing.   The group which loaded the truck in our passing location was quite good, even though the truck was completely too big for the amount of things we had been moving. Additionally, the scheduler wasn’t particularly professional. The coming to CT was on time and the driver called many days to tell us he had been on the road, all of which was very much valued.   But when the”creature” truck came at CT, we were shocked just how big it had been, and it was packed with floor to ceiling. The team that unpacked needed to walk on additional things for our furniture (that was ruined ) and pubs (the majority of which were destroyed or mangled.  We needed to shell out nearly $1,000 for furniture recovery for household household things.  We are going to decide on another firm for our next update.

    Residential Move

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE Firm. Crew came two hours late. Stated they had been halted by the CHP. Movers seemed like they had been picked up in the local Home Depot. Dressed in filthy clothes looked they’d slept in. They were assumed to shrink wrap all of upholstered furniture. The first thing I needed to prevent them since they began loading my seats without a protection. Eventually ran out of shrink wrap since they were using it on appliances rather than upholstered products. Ruined a $2,000 area rug since it had been all rippled when unloaded. After submitting a promise it took three weeks to receive a response and subsequently refused to accept responsibility although we’d bought extra insurance. I wouldn’t ever use this organization and would not recommend them to anybody. You can be certain I tell all of our friends that are shifting of our expertise.

We utilized Bekins Moving & Storage [Van Lines], connected with Wheaton Moving Business, for a small movement from Arizona to Illinois.  The agent was knowledgeable and experienced and gave a fair quote.  The moving employees handled our things with care and worked fast.  A painting was boxed for very little additional cost (about $25)  The mattress was placed in a carton.  The shipping was within the time period (earlier than expected) and they place all of the boxes in all the various chambers for us. The washer and dryer were managed with caution, as was everything else.   I didn’t need to worry about being overcharged or using our things held”hostage” since we paid using a credit card.  We paid a bit less than we had been quoted. Would highly suggest Bekins to get a worry-free transfer!

    Post Your Positive Reviews

I think when you’ve got a fantastic experience you don’t to take some opportunity to write about it.  But if it’s a poor one that you desire the entire world to understand so that you make the moment.  I had been quite nervous about transferring my whole home from California to Georgia particularly because I coudn’t be there to match with them for shipping in Georgia.  But, everything went exceptionally well.  Tom was very comprehensive with the first review and introduced specific details about what ought to be done in order to guarantee a secure and effective move.  I requested them to carry my things until I could arrange to get my buddy in Georgia in order to fulfill them.  They did and didn’t charge a storage charge.  The motorist known as both my buddy and I to tell us that the ETA of delivery.  He came just an hour late of his ETA and she stated that he was quite professional, very considerate, very attentive and did all as she taught and she’s extremely picky.  Nothing was lost and nothing has been ruined.  The quote came in at $4300 however, the last cost was only $3000 that was a fantastic surprise economies.  I was thankful they’d over-estimated because I’d heard so many businesses typically underestimate.  I would strongly suggest Bekins and expect that more positive clients will choose some opportunity to post their own opinions.

    Not a Suitable Choice

I was quite upset with their support my relocation has been educated to be at 9 am which they made it they are on time. They scrutinized my stuff  that due to my husbands military setup was in storage.Unfortunately once they scrutinized the device to my shock that a rat had passed by and  pooped in my sofa. They stated they could not take the sofa but when I had been ready to associate with the sofa they’d transfer my things.  I said yes and after that then main man took photos and spent the majority of his time on the telephone attempting to get to the individual accountable by 12pm they said that they could not do anything about it every afternoon they’d need to re program since one of those men was highly allergic to animals. The principal guy said he could return the next day but once I named the major person in control they stated that they did not have anything for two more weeks. I am quite frustrated since this problem was really sudden and simple to fix however they did not use me to attempt to solve it. I am also astounded that the army would even think about this business as appropriate after viewing all these dreadful complaints.

    Bekins/Wheaton movers

We’d have something broken – a bedpost cracked, however, the motorist personally notified me about it and assured me that it could be substituted.  I have discovered another product that’s badly broken but I understood how delicate it was and failed to allow the individual packaging it understand that.  Another thing we are not happy about is the number of things which weren’t place in which they belong.  A good deal of things were simply piled up at the garage, although it states on the boxes in which they belong.  We ought to have been at the top of things and made sure that it went where it ought to.  The final thing which I am unhappy about is that the mirrors weren’t re-attached into the dressers (two of these ).  I had been advised that they had”no idea” where the mounts were.  I have used two moving companies and that’s never occurred before, it’s a significant issue in my view.  I personally was very happy with the work done – both moving and packaging.  All bits of furniture were either blanket or shrink wrapped.  A great deal of paper has been used to wrap up the things packaged.  We have not actually made a dent in virtually everything, therefore I do not know whether there are some other broken products.

Why did I not check them out more carefully?

I had been pleased with the salesman and also the simple fact that the company with that I was coping had offices in the DC region and Sarasota, FL.  The packers showed up on time and also did an superb job loading our possessions. The fantastic service ceased there. Communicating was non existent, and in spite of the fact that they had a few weeks note, I feel that they made no endeavor to compute the long distance haul till they really had our items on the vehicle. Consequently, I write this on a lawn chair in a vacant home in Florida, my shipping maintained seven days late!  Although I’ve finally established communicating with Bekins customer support section, they seem helpless. It sounds if you move interstate  you’re in the mercy of their vehicle drivers and the firm does not have any clue what’s occuring. It’s no pleasure living in a vacant home with a pet and 2 cats. Thank goodness my wife packaged food to them and a few essentials for us at the vehicle where we resigned.  I don’t have any advice for viewers except get ready for the worst!

    Not recommended

Josef Schober, our team seemed fair, over another salesmen we fulfilled. We contracted at a top moving cost with him after a couple of meetings. During all these meetings he never once told us that a totally different moving firm will pick up our possessions. He just omitted this very important truth. We believed we contracted with Bekins, a rather well reputed  business. On our shifting day we had a terrible surprise! Wheaton Movers showed up, using quite a long. Long listing a terrible reviews online. The worst, in reality. It was that Wheaton and Bekins had united, a fact which was never told to us. The Wheaton truck has been owned by a man from Trinidad. The truck had 9 (NINE) doors. Others had reported that Wheaton had stolen a lot of the possessions, or broken them. I really don’t know whether it was the exact same truck. However a red light went on. I moved instantly to Home Depot and purchased my very own guards, the most powerful I could find and set them on the doors, once the loading was eventually finished after fourteen days. The owner objected quite strongly to my own keeping the keys to the doors, however I did, regardless of the objections. A chain saw could hav been had to open these locks. I oversaw al lthe loading and made sure that things were shrink-wrapped and/or blanketed correctly, despite their protests. It’s because of these precautions that our possessions arrived here intact and nothing was lost. I caution everyone strongly about Bekins or Weaton, moreover the salesman left many errors in our furniture count etc, and had to return 3 times to make the corrections, or might have overcharged us.

    Poor service

I got an ad in my department shop for Bekins Physician Relocation Program.  I contacted the company and shortly heard (by text message)  from among the salesmen, Trevor.  I chose for Trevor to pay a visit to my house so as to deliver an estimate.  We discussed instances which worked best with my program and despite this, Trevor insisted on arriving in a time which was more convenient for him, which makes it necessary for me to leave work early to meet with him.  He looked around, asked a couple of questions and explained I would hear from a professional agent Anna Gannas in a number of days.  1 week went by and I did not hear from her.  I contacted her and left a voicemail on her direct line.  Another week went by and still no reaction in Anna Gannas.  I called again and left another message.  When a second week went by and I still hadn’t learned from her, I contacted Trevor.  His reply…”Hmmm, allow me to look into it.”  This was a month ago and still no reply from either of these.  This is a really unprofessional business and that I would not recommend them whatsoever.  The shifting price of $1.00 previously was only entered because I needed to put in a dollar value for the inspection to post.  Since neither the salesman that came to my house or the workplace representative ever contacted me with their quotation, I couldn’t offer this info.  All information within this review is otherwise correct.

    Bekins steals

If you’d love to pay a person to steal your valuables, then employ Bekins. We hired them to transfer our family things in California to Ohio. The price is competitive, however, it ends up they compensate for this by stealing your valuables. They sent our items to a storage center in which it sat for at least a week until they reloaded it on the other truck before really hauling to Ohio. Our boxes were likely kept in a moist facility because a number of those boxes were moist upon birth. Our stuff has been sent nearly two weeks late and lots of boxes seemed to have been ruined or opened and resealed using their own tape. A couple of large furniture had been broken and many valuables were lost, such as a digital movie camera, two Nikon binoculars, and other computer peripherals. They maintained that the boxes had been already damaged when they chose them up in the storage facility, attributing the other men. In the end, nobody would maintain liability for the stolen and damaged items. Don’t Use BEKINS! I’d offer them negative stars if this was possible.

    Problems from start to end

I’ve moved 11 days and this was the worst by far. The motorist known as 4 days ahead of the movement to come in for pickup. They weren’t advised to package us till 3 days afterwards. The packers did a bad job of consolidating all of the products. The driver arrived without the gear, few pads without a flooring cover in a rain storm. The loaders broke a hole in 1 door and didn’t have sufficient space for all of the products. Constructed a framework onto the tailgate and pulled remaining objects into open box around the tailgate and led out from the rain. Damage things comprise a TV, treadmill, images and missing things too. The driver spoke bad English and was impolite because He wished to pick up 4 times before. We attempted to find another driver to supply the merchandise at the conclusion of the trip but obtained exactly the exact same rude driver still without the resources. You’d think he’d appreciate that I provided him all of the tolls which were needed but no more. .
Therefore that the claim was registered and 6-8 week afterwards declared. Called and emailed to your test but may never receive a verification of status of paycheck. A couple of weeks after submitting with BBB We received a check from Bekins. I’d hope this gives some advice to all to avoid this company at all price tag. We obtained three quotations and they had been the center cost so we believed we’d be secure. Not correct.

    Overall move

This firm notified me in last minute that they altered their procedure and had a substantial deposit or so the packers wouldn’t appear.  Even the packers did a bad job separating and packaging items and even broke some throughout the bunch.  After eventually obtaining the truck delivered, they had been in a rush to get completed, failed to offer a checklist.  We discovered damaged and missing items during unpacking.  It required about 7 weeks to find a partial payment for a few of the products.  They played the match of the determined value although we’d paid for 100% replacement insurance.  We’ve employed over 15 different conveys during our life and also the business undoubtedly was the worst one yet.  Don’t use.

    DO NOT USE BEKINS!

Absolutely dreadful, unreliable business from Longmont, CO.. Went together as a result of A BBB score and confidence from’earnings’ individual. Massive error; do NOT utilize these folks. Do not maintenance and condescending! First portion of everything was likely to be my whole shipment was weeks late; the remainder showed up a week after and has been horribly damaged and several items lost. Salesperson stated that because I had been packaging most everything myself, that it would not be wise to take out the additional insurance/replacement policy. Well, what I packaged (that really did appear ), wasn’t damagednonetheless, the biggest (and most expensive) things were horribly ruined. Appreciate that I rec’d $303 for all my loss and hurt (really around $2k), together with a letter which stated if I wished to proceed to mediation, that it would be 300. Coincidental? I believe not; those individuals have their racket down really, very, well. Truly dreadful experience; do not undergo those individuals and do not do this on your self!!! Do not utilize Bekins whatsoever. Better off renting a UHaul, particularly when, like me, can not push &/or load yourself, employ someone someplace to load and then push for you and stick to the path together.

Fair warning: I was not smart enough to take it… I trust you will!

    WORSE MOVE OF MY LIFE

I got with them due to their title and (I believed ) reputation. What a mistake. When they began inventorying and packaging, they had been moving so fast I couldn’t continue to make certain things were becoming documented correctly. Additionally, I commented that I couldn’t read their writing about the paperwork and had been told that it was only for documentation purposes and also that I did not need to be worried about doing it.

The following day they came with a temporary truck asserting the moving truck broke downagain. They needed to load my things, then un-load along with re-load again on the real moving truck. When my stuff had been loaded they needed me to sign all of the paperwork I couldn’t read, so I advised them I could not read it and again they said it is not that significant and to simply register, they needed to get moving. So I had been pressured and only signed it. The shipping was 6 days late beyond the scheduled delivery date. The motorist maintains his own truck kept breaking down. This caused a significant annoyance not needing my possessions as promised. Then as they’re unloading, I advised them to slow down so that I can check out the numbers about the paperwork. Well, some things did not make the trip along with some things was busted. Oh but all of your belongings should be listed, please follow the paperwork that you can not browse, we must begin.

Now includes filling out the claim types. Oh, wait a moment you can not browse the paperwork to determine exactly what’s missing. Oh, also you also want receipts for your 10 year-old classic table that is missing. Oh, now that is likely to be a issue. I can keep writing, but this movement was such a tragedy that I just expect folks will read these ailments and also be very careful with Bekins because of their transfer.

Certainly the worst, the harm unreal, each box was broken, rubberized left containers broke, missing bits and each box needed something broken, so they refused to take care of it, needed to proceed to mediation, they make certain they can destroy your stuff, not cover. Was told what they packaged, if bankrupt they pay, they do not , they insure nothing, they transfer your belongings from truck to truck once they tell you they maintain it on a single truck, they lie about what, then won’t speak to youpersonally, just hang-up. Horrible, horrible, dreadful, would not let them proceed anything again and again should you! Must have their licenses removed, but you can not find them since they have 10 firms to conceal under.been fighting since July to make them cover damages and missing bits, will just pay $100 for tens of thousands in compensation, be forewarned DO NOT USE THEM!

    Bekins Movers

Exactly what the salesman informs you isn’t anything such as what really occurs. The salesman walks throughout your residence, examines your possessions, and assure you that everything is going to be packaged carefully and proceeded carefully.

Then you’re handed off to some”handler”. That is the individual who:”manages your relocation”, even though one never matches the individual.

Subsequently the packers come. Nice women, but I do not love a garden trowel thrown in with my own bone china. And no cushioning around a classic ceramic decoration, crush lamp colors, busted crystal, bunched up sterling silver wrapped in newspaper.

I used to not permit them to transfer my artwork.
The following day the movers come. Virtually every bit of my casework has lumps…I wound up committing much of their damaged merchandise to charities in the region. My home is mostly empty today.

Afterward comes with the MSS..Moving Specialty Services. They took off the legs my grand piano and place it on it and left it there overnight. It cracked under the strain. They’ve not come out to evaluate the damage. They said I need to employ a piano specialist in my buck and also my time to acquire an evaluation on this.

They took aside a 3000 exercise tower, then scattering the bits on the ground. MSS stated it’s lacking”some tanks”, and they’re looking for them..that has been four weeks past. I believe that it will be unwise to allow me to utilize it, so don’ you?

I’ve contacted each member of this Bekins staff with this and have received no answer. This firm doesn’t understand the significance of”possession”.

    Do not use Bekins

DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS. They don’t listen or see e-mails, we talked to them and emailed them several times so that they understood delivery could just be Mon-Fri 8 to 5 and also not any big trucks just ship trucks will match on the home. We had to wait around for them to send and they first wanted to return on Sat, we then needed to wait for a week to allow them to send and they arrived with a 18 wheeler. They billed us to receive a box truck and employ 3 more people to unload and load the box truck to provide at nearly $700. We did nearly all our own packaging except for a glass table top and a number of pictures. The glass table top was broken along with a world on a light fixture has been busted while providing. The world cost us $35 plus a brand new glass price us $185 for a total of 220. Plus they gave us $118 and we had to beg for it. The delivery people were fairly nice but anybody else was reckless. They tell you they’ll help save you money but in together run you may pay more. AGAIN DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.

Late, liars, have not delivered everything, damaged goods

Original dispatch 4 days late. Driver left with items still on truck and didn’t maintain appointment to reunite them. I made arrangements for my own furniture to be picked up on 11/21/11 in 9:00 b/c my flats”place appointments” to your cargo elevator. Driver was 3 hours late and then spent 1 hour arguing with safety about where to park his truck. In the minute I contacted me Bekins I made it especially clear that my things had to be sent 11/28 or 29 due to my new project – even though it meant picking up my things sooner than the 21st. I had been confident that this gave them a lot of time.

Nothing about the 28th. Nothing around the 29th. Eventually contacted them myself late on the 29th and has been advised he’d be there on the 1st. Overdue on the 30th I had been contacted by customer support (followup to mails ) and the whole conversation was founded on the coming of my furniture around the 1st. Right until we hung-up I requested for confirmation that my furniture could in reality be delivered afterward. She obtained the motorist online and that he was STILL at Miami.

When he eventually came in the 2nd, he had been so rude, stunk and did nothing but whine about how long he’d been upward. He had been flying in with furniture and boxes so quickly I couldn’t keep up with the test list and roughly 60 to 75 percent of those things, the decals had dropped off and he stated which was”no big thing.” My son turned into a disagreement and he stated he was planning to shut the doors and shoot my things with him. I told him that if he did I’d call the authorities and my lawyer. He continued to float about an additional hour (all night was just one box in a time – without any dolly or something ). He left at 12:30 that evening.

I found the following morning that an antique table was ruined, the two back bits for my armoire were lost and the majority of the hardware in the shelves/cabinets that they broke down was lost (they didn’t bag any of their hardware nor tape it into the bits ).

After all, Bekins phoned me to inform me that he had discovered a number of my things and could return them to me last weekend. Needless to say, he used to be a no show.

This afternoon Bekin’s monitoring department explained they were planning to FedEx the things to me. Now they’re telling me no, he’ll return via Houston to send them. AGAIN, nothing but the runaround.

The also inform me that my dispatch was 500 pounds. Too mild to get a refund. How can I understand what had been weighed against just the things he delivered the very first time?? Or would be the”lost” objects contained? So is not it very coincidental that my dispatch was only”a bit too mild” to be eligible for a refund.

    Never ever consider this

As I was moving with my company expenditures, and Bekins needed a tie up with my own employer. Therefore I had no other alternative. I packed my things myself neatly and asked them to send in time. The person I contacted following 25 days states that they don’t guarantee any date, therefore I’ve been requested to wait because they stated that things may vary between x ray on y date(The gap itself is approx 30 times ). Any how I wasn’t really worried about the emptiness of delivery. Finally 1 day I got my items overlooking the under numbered boxes.
I’ve recorded all of the box amounts that Bekins delegated for each stock.
Below is the listing of box numbers I’m missing thing sequence.
    BOX 007
    BOX 015
    BOX 019
    BOX 021
    BOX 022

After a lot of followups and 45 times analysis that they delivered a mail that they have drained and discovered that there is not any missing box in any way. Means they’re indirectly telling me that they didn’t overlook any.

So guys please not ever go with those movers.

And yet another thing is I needed to transfer all of my things from the flat main gate that’s 0.4 miles away from my flat in my little car shuttling 10 rounds.
And yet another: When I predict asserts department, Auto reply claims that they have 0 calls before me but nobody answers the telephone even after 30 minutes.

Update to my Bekins Review: Bekins Portland made things a little more right

I got this email from Chris, the co-owner of this Bekins bureau in Portland:

‘I pulled off your 2009 document (K81786) and also did a little study in your own move. I see that your delivery wasn’t up to our Bekins regular and that your claim has been composed in the atmosphere. Teresa Brown, Managing Director of Customer Care will want you to contact her to discuss a settlement. Should you want, you might reach her either by email or telephone.
Please accept my apologies on behalf of Bekins.’

Teresa gave me the customary firm b.s. about Bekins trying for quality, along with the customary non-apology (ie”I’m sorry that the servicing of the relocation has given you cause for concern”). ‘Teresa Brown’ and’customer service’ is a oxymoron.

Nevertheless, they DID give me $400.00 that is far better than nothing and is all because Chris at Portland followed up. AND Chris is your very first individual, of all of the people I have communicated with there, that actually took a while and gave me a more direct apology. Consequently, if you’re in Portland, think about Bekins, but be sure to speak to Chris.

    Avoid Bekins

I needed to transfer in Portland to Texas, so that I thought that time I would pay to have it done’right’. I presumed that would be just one less thing to fret about. This man named Wayne seen me in Portland and proudly showed me that the BBB certification. I would like to, I really believed that meant something. Trust me, this does not. Wayne explained it’d be about $3,200 to maneuver my 1 bedroom flat. Fine, pricey but’at the least I will not need to stress’. HA. He offered me a shipping array of dates, that the external date being about 5 months from the time that they picked my stuff up. Wayne explained that it was highly improbable that it would take this long and when it did, I’d be rewarded for the hassle of this a very long wait.

Hence that the time goes by, I am in Austin, sleeping in an air mattress, waiting, waiting waiting. Eventually I hear by the motorist about 4 times prior to the’deadline’. By this time I am desperate for my things and only need to get it over with. Initially I believed the driver was rather good – that he kept calling me and updating me re where he had been. But then he began asking me to do things – like leasing a U-haul (we needed to unload into some U-haul and then take it to the apartment complex). Afterward, he requested me to get some men to help unload!! He then asked me to get a spot for him to park his new truck! So enjoy the distressed person I had been, I did all that. Met him in the designated location, drove with him to pickup the U-haul. Had no labor, along with the folks I booked did not show. So I needed to help. My thicker furniture was abandoned downstairs at the garage since the driver had a bad knee. I needed to employ somebody else to deliver this up. My futon was taken aside – I needed to employ a person to put it all together. The driver felt guilty about leaving me stranded, therefore he believed it proper to flag down some local young guys to assist me afterwards (“even though they’re shameful” he explained!!!!) . Oh my god.

So I got in contact Bekins. I thought they would be sort of embarrassed and apologetic, however. I figure this is the way they function. No apology. In their answer letters that they said’we’re sorry that you believe we did not satisfy our duty’. When there was a sort of gray area there. Since when is the shipping component of a movement optional? They’re these idiots. I then whined via BBB. I wanted a $800 refund, and that was completely fair. They said’well we just pay our labourers $10 a hour’. OH which is reasonable. Therefore I’m likely to cover them 3200 and then WORK for them for about $10 a hour. The bizarre thing is that NOBODY I conveyed with there appeared to provide a [EDIT]. Oh and they had any sort of dumb reason which they couldn’t pay me for the lateness, also. Thus Wayne lied. Nice.

Prevent Bekins. BBB certification signifies nothing, and if you request me BBB is a part of this issue – I do not believe that they urge for customers any more.

    A Horrible Experience

We picked Bekins as we had been marketed on their earnings lady’s insistence that our move will be closest with a firm of national scale. To further safeguard ourselves, we compensated for complete insurance coverage for our possessions. In fact, Bekins failed to send our possessions in the promised window – they were a few days late. When the van came, we didn’t secure professional movers but employees from a local labour ready office. The so-called movers needed NO MOVING EXPERIENCE nor were they BACKGROUND assessed. Furniture wasn’t constructed properly, boxes weren’t abandoned in the rooms that they had been marked for, furniture was ruined , walls were ruined, floors were ruined. Many boxes were NEVER DELIVERED. You will find LOTS OF BROKEN ITEMS from the dispatch. After we registered the claim, we had been advised that the extra insurance needed NO IMPACT as boxes packaged with ourselves were NOT COVERED (that was obviously NEVER MENTIONED to us if we paid nearly $1,000 to the extra insurance). In the long run, we spent a few months attempting to find the company to pay for our compensation. This was an unpleasant procedure at which the claims adjuster ultimately denied nearly all of our claims for motives which were completely made up (they maintained that we didn’t keep the boxes that the damaged items came in when really we did). They also denied any obligation for our missing items. May this be a warning to other people who find a more costly national moving business to safeguard themselves. In fact, Bekins utilized non-professionals to move our possessions. We were NOT in any way protected.

We had been shifting our 4 bedroom/ 3 bathroom in Wisconsin to Florida. I’d flown to Floriday together with my two children with only a baby bag and the clothes on our back. Bekins, provided to refund us 50 percent of what we spent to reside for 5 times , we didnt have the additional cash to purchase everything we had. I wouldn’t ever utilize Bekins again!!! They lost our trailer for 10 days - don't use them!

Moved from CA into GA.. Our van was 10 days late, a whole 17 days later pickup. Their head office couldn’t find our van to get 10 more days following the seven day cross country trip, and couldn’t tell us where our possessions were. They wouldn’t reimburse us for 10 days at a resort with 2 children and 2 cats. We were fearful that our whole van was shot to Mexico and we’d never see our possessions again. Their corporate office such as the office of the president wouldn’t even return our calls. We followed our van ourselves to a regional Bekins holding whole lot in Atlanta. It was sitting there for 10 days along with the regional Bekins moving company simply didn’t care whether it ever got delivered. They stated it had been dropped off there by error and was not their problem. It took 3 more days of crying and threatening to call the authorities to acquire that business to supply the van. When they did, they literally threw everything to the primary floor rather than placing each box within their various rooms within this three-story house. A Great Deal of harm. HORRIBLE, DON’T Utilize BEKINS.

    The Worst

I hired Bekins to get the interstate movement on the grounds of the standing and their in-house trip by their own salesman. To acquire my enterprise, they consented to my crucial move-out and shipping dates, however their claims were untrue.

Bekins picked my furniture up on June 22, and I were promised a rigorous shipping window in the destination between June 27 and July 5. I’d even offered to proceed up the pickup date if desired to make sure the shipping date might be fulfilled, but has been told it had been unnecessary. After pick-up, nevertheless, the neighborhood workplace became unreachable till 3 days after, when I had been advised that booking was”uncertain.” Throughout the upcoming few weeks, the telephone either went into unanswered voicemail or has been answered by somebody from the loading dock that had no clue just how to answer my phone.

On June 30, I was then called by client support in Bekins Corporate to find out that my delivery has been”postponed” because of”business requirement.” To put it differently, my cargo was less important compared to other company they’d approved. No shipping date dedication was given, aside from that it could be postponed by 1-2 weeks.

At this moment, Bekins Corporate tried to placate me by stating that I was qualified to get a delay”penalty” of $125 per day, also dinner and living costs during the delay. This also turned out to be untrue. It ends up that Bekins will just compensate up to $125 per evening of real living costs, and nothing else beyond this because of their own incompetence or delay.

At the conclusion Bekins delivered my furniture 11 days late, and also their”overdue penalty” of $125 daily didn’t even come close to creating the real prices because of their delay.

I would suggest that anyone contemplating a transfer AVOID Bekins at any cost.

Household goods amage , claim ignored

SO much harm to our family products. Bekins failed a forgery by simply completing the claim forms asserting that it was from me and that I don’t have any promises or claims are waved. They forged my signature and name. Until today my assert still being dismissed. On procedure legal activity.

    Absolutely Awful Moving Company

We only recently moved with Bekins as our moving firm and they stole lots of our possessions. They stole all of our lawn equipment including our edger, weed eater, along with the mill. They slyly abandoned off these items the first inventory list to ensure when they were not present upon delivery there was no paper trail. Also, but they also stole our brand new Brookstone Ipod stereo which I purchased my husband for Father’s Day. Funny enough, they had been kind enough to leave us the box using the stock decal on it. What fool steals the stereo, but leaves the box together with the stock sticker on it? Now, we’ve got real proof that you stole it. To top it all of, they ruined our leather couch and scuffed up the walls shifting the furniture from the home. This moving company is TERRIBLE and total entirely UNPROFESSIONAL. The worst aspect of all is that they are completely unsympathetic to how they stole lots of our possessions. They refuse to carry telephone calls along with all correspondence needs to be in writing. If they believe we’re moving away they have something else coming. Our family is filled with attorneys and we love to cover back people!
Our evaluation for this provider is NO STARS. Steer clear of this moving company in any way costs. I’d rather have leased two PODS.
The one thing contained in our cost was that the moving. We packed and unpacked everything.

    Long-distance move from Illinois
Great Job Boerman / Bekins Moving

Boerman / Bekins storage and moving did a fantastic job for me. I transferred me along with my husband out of Naperville, IL into Venice, FL. They had been on time for pickup and delivery and the cost they offered me was a”No Excuse Price”. The cost didn’t change. No harm and the men that packaged and moved us were efficent and quite favorable. I would strongly suggest them. This is their telephone number if you’re searching for a person. 800-323-1048. Fantastic job Boerman.
