I had been connected to the business through TLC moving adviser Pat Walsh to move from Nashville to Montreal.
Everything sounded great as mentioned. Fantastic Service!
Passengers were punctually and movers were very cautious with all our furniture and they were quite friendly.
I strongly recommend this corporation.
They’ve delivered all of my things from Saskatchewan into Boston in few months, nothing stolen or damaged, all was closely wrapped, zero issues throughout the border.
I did encounter difficulties others needed – one day overdue for pickup (well things occur on the street ), inadequate communication (they really do stay in touch, however, just unwind ), bill money immediately after pickup and prior delivery (odd, but again relax).
All of us picked them since the quotation was inexpensive (got mine out of Relocation Services Canada)along with additional moving companies were providing 2-3 times greater than those men, so you may also forget those unwanted minutes.
In general , they really do what they’re supposed – send products from point A to point B really economical. In the long run, I was happy, therefore to perform these men a justice I’m giving them exceptional evaluation.
I transferred from London, On. Into Sherwood Park, AB just two decades back. I’m going back to London,On. And I am searching for the expert services of AMS transportation again. I’m happy with their support, the only bad part I could say the coming was somewhat longer than anticipated, but we proposed that that could occur so we’re ready.
When we look back in the positive things that occurred I’d say that it was worthwhile ; even they assisted us to build the beds. I believe that in the event you start looking for the great things in people that’s precisely what you’re likely to discover in reaction, and such folks were quite excellent.
I utilized Reloction Services Global, when the deal was completed RSG simply dropped off the map, so I know that AMS was performing the movement but the man who quoted and was excited to make my company had been RSG, could kind of feel that they would be my client services. The biggest difficulty I had with this particular tandum was the simple fact that RSG did define about the email that I obtained that the movers might take anywhere from seven to 17 business days however verbally sold me the”reality” that they generally send from 5 to 7 days, 10 shirts, following the pickup, together with this in mind my loved ones and I drove up together with 5 day’s worth of clothing. 4 months afterwards, yes, 4 months! And significant frustrations afterwards we eventually got our things. Should you use this provider just know about the 7-17 business days.
Im not completely certain the way to speed this organization. They were not great complete, however they did have some great things. I’d requested for pickup on a date and they came on the organized time plus they did a fantasic job of protecting and wrap everything. The sole issue with all the pick up was that they have a secret in their stock list for scrapes, dents etc.. They marked on most of things that may possibly have scratches that they had been scraped each surface. This was even on quite near new things which were in excellent condition. It didnt matter since nothing was ruined but it is something to see. Our difficulties came on shipping. In the time of pickup we didnt understand the possesion date of the new property. We asked them to shop for a couple of weeks, once I understood the date I phoned directly away and I thought I was reserving at a delivery. Turns out it had been a waste of a telephone call. As soon as I called a couple of days ahead of the date I took my equipment Wayne told me he’d look at it tomorrow and find out if he’d have the ability to match it in. That is where it began. We have a serious lack of communicating when he did answer his telephone that it was alway”it’ll be sometime late next week” or something of the description. There was even one time he informed me it is going to be next wednesday day, then there wasn’t any longer communicating and we couldn’t contact him. So ever hopeful I waited in the home all day with all the expectation our equipment would appear. Obviously it didnt. We even offered to come to pick our equipment up from Calgary(we’re in Edmonton) and they wouldnt entertain that notion. Finally we discovered numbers for Waynes exceptional and we did receive a date setup etc.. 4 months after we desired it. When they did eventually send he contacted a man with a tractor trailer, that was utterly inappropriate for shipping on residential propertys. So WE needed to arrange to get a smaller truck to come along with tranfers the things to, to really get into the home. In general, I wouldnt recommend this company since it was a source of real frustration. However we did get all of equipment delivered in good shape eventually. So that the feelings of anger you receive whenever you’re awaiting your items do mostly vanish as soon as you have them. Please notice I didn’t really pick this business, I reserved my move via Worldwide Relocation Services and they farmed my go outside to AMS. This was done with no knowledge. Also at some point early in the procedure I asked for a receipt, the answer I got was most people simply take a look at their credit card invoice, once I said that wasnt really what I was later, they stated they were planning to return to me, never did. I afterwards had bigger concerns with this provider so didnt bother with this particular battle.
Like many other people, I didn’t reserve AMS. I reserved by Bruce from Regional Moving. Before I get too deep in the critique, I wish to mention that overall I was content using AMS, although not especially satisfied with Bruce, but afterwards I will touch on the slice that attracted me into 2 celebrities.
Yes, it’d take WAY more than I anticipated to receive my possessions. Bruce explained that with a May 1 pickup that I”should” be able to receive it by May 7, however at my naivete I didn’t make him devote to this date. Once I discovered AMS was likely to be transferring mepersonally, I googled them and found all of the negative reviews. I told Bruce about April 30 that my principal issue was when I’d get my possessions, and he said he would call Monday afternoon and discover out. STILL WAITING FOR YOUR CALL, BRUCE.
They picked up my stuff on May 1. That went well. They were fast, they were considerate, and they moved from there way to superb additional wrap all to be certain that it arrived safely. Step 1 finish – I am glad.
May 2 I telephone them to cover, and it is about what I had been anticipating. This was a couple hundred over the quotation, but no one came out to perform an on site quote and that I likely had an erroneous idea of how far my things weighed.
May 3 I move to Denver. I get my brand new flat, I am chilling in my air mattress, so I am prepared to receive moved in before beginning my new project May 7. I call and ask when I could expect dispatch. I find out nothing has even crossed the Canadian border however (I lived 40 minutes in the boundary ), which it”could” make it to the weekend bath. I am told to phone back another week. I call on Tuesday of the next week, May 8. They tell me it is crossing the boundary daily, and they will know mid-week whenever they could schedule delivery. I predict them a good deal. I need to stress that they were ALWAYS polite. I was frustrated I did not wind up getting my items before May 14, a whole 14 days following pick-up, but that I could cope with this, anything.
All of my things showed up, also it revealed in the state it left in. Excellent news.
Terrible news – The motorist, Phil, has been a dreadful man. Rick was wonderful. Loved Rick. Rick began moving my things in and I figure Phil did not understand that I would let Rick in, therefore Phil phoned me and after I clarified that Rick was already inside he inquired if Rick desired aid. Rick explained no. Phil stated”You have to be a pretty woman if he is saying that he does not want help”. So today I am uneasy, however, society has encouraged me to bargain with [EDIT] remarks similar to this, so that I roll up with this. Afterwards, Phil will develop. He says”oh yeah, I see exactly why Rick did not need help”. Alright bro, trendy it. Afterward, Phil can not work out how to put my bed together. He asks me to assist, which I really do. The cadence there was that I clarified in which a bit went and he’d then describe to me in which the bit moved. At one stage he said”Following this you will understand how to set your own bed together!” That remark bothered me since I paid for a ceremony, and then was asked to assist, after which I essentially did the job, after which I had been belittled, therefore I replied”I do not need to understand how to set it together, that is exactly what I compensated movers to get”.
Phil attempts to join my headboard into my own bed, and it did not arrive with the bed, therefore it does not match. At this time he states”This will be very loud unless you are celibate”. Back in NO [EDIT] WORLD is that proper, but particularly not when you are in a location alone with a girl.
In general, Phil was improper, somewhat creepy, along with other girls could have been frightened to maintain a location alone with him. (Rick went straight back to the truck since I felt he also hated Phil and did not need to be about him more than needed .) Phil shouldn’t be working with this provider.
AMS, cease starting with Phil.
Deliberately smashed my items. Delivered my things very late. Just sent ONE MAN to transfer my things. I needed to engage 3 day employees from my own pocket to assist him. Wayne that the dispatcher is violent and totally unprofessional. Relocation Services Canada offered them my move once I hired them. They’re also hugely unprofessional!
In managing the agent Relocation Services Canada I have the impression that they had the ideal price with all transporters and we all ended up giving those men the fine to choose up our stuff in Trois-Rivières, QC and send into Kelowna, BC. We paid the agent down the upfront payment and then we had been informed, pretty much, today take care of the dispatcher, Tina, here is her number. The loading went very well, the men were fast, courteous and professional. We had been advised that they would load another dispatch on in Ottawa (into Saskatchewan) therefore that we were first on and continue. The agent wrote and told 5 to 15 business days for shipping. AMS told me they’d weigh and we had to cover whole amount up front with charge card. We believed it’d be a day or 2 prior to being weighed against but it took over a week to learn what the consider was. Obviously the accounts receivable woman needed to be compensated but did not understand when the shipment will arrive Therefore she moved me into the dispatcher Tina who informed me’I will know next week if it will arrive’. Following a couple of messages and two WEEKS LATER, I eventually got a grip of Tina who confessed that my dispatch was still in Toronto, on standby, waiting for one more shipment to be united with mine before putting it to me personally. Obviously, the charge card payment has gone through and there’s not any way they’ll find out this stuff to me before AN whole MONTH! As soon as I called the agent to whine, he called me to the dispatcherand I sent the email and just got a response with a URL to create a claim. No apology, not just one follow up to tell me the status…. I finally have to run after these men to receive my things…. A vehicle and nearly 10,000 pounds of product. We have been at the Okanagan today for 2 weeks using a 4 year-old daughter who does not have any bed, never a fork to consume… And let’s not overlook that the meeting I had without a firm suit available. I do not understand when it will arrive but don’t use these men, do not even bother to bargain with Relocations Services Canada or Global. Quite bad. EXPERIENCE in the time that they have our money, nearly $9000…
Pick-up had been a day late- without any communication concerning this- that I needed to call and inquire. At the time of booking had been told shipping would be on aug 24th, in the time of pickup I had been told 28-30th. Now is the 28th, NO answer to some half-dozen emails I’ve sent during the past couple of days. Called Marta in the Calgary office (the only man I’d contact information for) was granted contact information to Ontario and was then told by them that there is not any DRIVER to send my items. And there will not be a motorist until after the next week, and shipping will most likely not be until the subsequent week.Since this movement was reserved nearly 4 weeks ago, an individual would believe that they might have organized a motorist at that timespan. I had been told that they don’t organize anything in the Ontario office before the truck arrives- which seems both odd and incredibly inefficient. My whole family is somewhere north of Toronto, approximately 9 hours away from me and it is going to still seemingly take two months to make here. The individual I talked with at the Ontario workplace, never lurks even after for the delay, was abrasive and short on the telephone. Finally talked with the manager and hope to listen to….and awaiting….and waiting…
Don’t use this moving business. We hired transportation providers Canada to get a transfer from Ohio, USA to BC, Canada and AMS managed the transfer. The dispatch and motorist that did the pickup were fantastic and when they’d completed the Whole thing, We’d have been joyful. But, Wayne, the shipment in Calgary who managed our shipping was dreadful. He showed up 1 hour late in the Canada habits clearinghouse after he had confirmed 10 minutes prior to our appointment He could be on time. On several occasions, he informed us he’d call us to inform us when our shipping period could be. He didn’t call us a single time, and if we phoned him, he refused saying he’d call us. He refused to offer us a Particular delivery period (he would not even confirm that a delivery day before the afternoon before), but rather said the delivery will be late afternoon the day prior to the delivery ended up arriving, so we wasted a day waiting. He also refused to provide us the motorist’s telephone number so that we had no Means of checking on our shipping period. Whenever we talked to him, Wayne was impolite and unprofessional. There was damage to some pieces of furniture, but that has been minimal. When there’s a possibility that Wayne is managing your move, I’d steer clear of this company.
We contracted with Relocation Services Global (RSG) to our transfer in the San Diego, CA region into the Toronto, Canada Region. Jim Dixon has been our signature at RSG. RSG has a Site That professes They would be the greatest global moving support, and one of the things claims
I would strongly recommend not with this specific organization. Contractual responsibilities in relation to shipping pickup and reception were overlooked on both parties. Communication with earnings and shipment had been poor to non existent. The exception was if the business was seeking payment. AMS did continue telling me they’d keep me advised of what has been occurring in relation to shipping of merchandise but not did. They missed each callback promised. Payment coverage demanded complete payment before receipt of merchandise that’s contrary to each of three prior firms I have used previously. Standard practice with all these prior firms was minimal deposit; 50 percent of balance paid when products picked up;and remaining balance paid when great delivered to dwelling. Finally the goods have been sent by a single driver who wasn’t aware that one thing was a classic piano. In my landscapers didn’t came during shipping and hadn’t been ready to help with obtaining this thing in the home, I’m wondering how it might have been sent. The AMS motorist wouldn’t have been in a position to provide this heavy thing by himself. Not a company I’d recommend or ever utilize again.
I wouldn’t ever recommend this provider. First I contacted a company to come back to give me a quote. (I do not keep in mind this business name), they were rather polite. I approved their quote and gave them 20 percent that was all that was demanded. I suppose they contract into other Transportation Business and unfortunate I had been I obtained AMS Transportation. The day prior to my scheduled pickup I received a call out of the truck driver to allow me to know what time he’d be. The afternoon of my pickup he called me again to allow me to know where he had been and just how long he’d be. Therefore that the transportation truck came at my front door and the man introducing himself wasn’t the man that called me the evening before or that day. (Do not allow him in my home ). We both called AMS transportation to talk to TINA (a dispatcher) who advised me that she didn’t understand who the man was and that it had been my fault attempting to inform me I need to have reserved with a different transport company too. Approximately half an hour after the very first truck driver phoned me and explained that TINA never got his own confirmation email to take the load so that she got another motorist to enter. RED FLAGS that I SHOULD HAVE CANCELED Immediately. If she did not understand what was happening just how exactly am I supposed to trust those folks with my things. After that was evident that the truck driver had been inventorying that house with decals along with also the movers revealed. These men were excellent!!! Kind, hardworking and DIDN’T BREAK ANYTHING. When the organization had all of my things at their own lot. The following day TINA calls and claims that they won’t release my things until they receive complete payment. (WHAT THIS Was Not AGREED TO). Frustrated I paid her in full the afternoon. She explained that my dispatch is going to be gone within the following day or 2. After lots of calls and voice messages and mails NO ONE likes to telephone or answer. I’m 65 and my spouse would be 72 and we slept on the ground free of furniture for 3 months. After we eventually got a grasp of TINA she offered us STEVE’S amount seemingly this is actually the gentlemen that has my things. Well Steve was not happy at all anytime we phoned him. After he showed up in my home he was RUDE and also NOT fine. He had been at the vehicle throwing my things onto the drive, yelling in the movers and proceeded to inform ever one to rush so he could leave. Well with this all done I’ve got a ripped sofa, missing things and numerous broken items which are from home state that won’t ever be substituted. All my things were wrapped wrapped and wrapped using cloth sheets all in vinyl bags. Again AMS TRANSPORTATION does not answer there phone. I’m now out of the insurance that they claim to pay for damaged items. If you can avoid this transportation firm they’re Only headaches and anxiety.
RIP OFF / SCAM ARTISTS!!! Save your cash and a few significant hassle and don’t employ this business whatever you can!!! I have done lots of study and carefully picked Great Ol’ Stars Moving Company because of our relocation from out west to Ontario. After reading a few reviews on the net and speaking over the telephone using Jesse, who promised me that the movers/labourers who worked to your business were sailors rather than dumb, dirty-for-hire builders off the road…. We obtained the specific opposite. Unbeknownst to us,” Great Friday Boys really sub-contracted outside AMS for its transfer (a business I never would have hired depending on the myriad of dreadful reviews), and things kept going downhill from that point. I do not even know where to start, however, here’s a rundown of those problems we encountered:
1) After our things had been picked up, it had been evident that the 2 labourers functioning had no clue what they were doing and insisted that our leather sofa would not make it from our residence. Clearly it made it to the home a year ahead, and my husband needed to take out the door punctually and educate the movers about the best way best to do it without damaging or scratching it.
2) We were not as blessed when our material had been sent, as the filthy, dumbass labourers now proved actually MORE gullible and disgusting. Whenever the identical leather sofa was transferred in, the labourers disregarded my husband’s directions about the way best to angle at the couch suitably (again, those men were totally friggin’ clueless) and they completely ignored him, slamming the sofa to the wall and making a massive gap, leaving scuffs and rips onto the couch. As though this were not enough harm, there was a big stain on the couch that had not been there until that STANK to high heaven… Depending on how stinky and sweaty the movers were, we could just assume that it was from some sort of spill or by the filthy, sweaty blankets that they had to pay for our furniture together with.
3) Where can they employ such labourers from?! The evening prior to our stuff has been first scheduled to arrive, so I get a call from dispatch requesting me when I’know anybody in the region who they might hire to assist the driver unload.’ Astounded, I mentioned that is what I employ you men for!! Certainly they simply pick up these guys from wherever/whenever since they are dumb as claws, don’t have any idea of how to professionally and safely proceed furniture, etc.. We saw them roll up a dresser packed with things, head over end, out of their vehicle… Who does this?! What is even worse, that they simply laughed after forcing our sofa to the wall and making a huge gap. SO unprofessional and inconsiderate.
4) I counseled both Jesse from Great Ol’ Boys along with my contact with AMS concerning the harm done to the sofa and that I wished to start a claim. After following all of the directions and minding several photographs (and needing to follow along with a few of times through phone/email like I never got a reply originally ), I got a letter from the email I want to know that due to the $0.60 percent of insurance that they provided, the worth of this 300-lb sofa was 61, and due to their $300 allowance policy, my equilibrium was so’zero.’
I’d understood around the $0.60 percent / $300 liability insurance coverage once I reserved the play, but misunderstood the specific parameters. I’d assumed that that insurance policy would be great up until the whole quantity of your transfer (i.e.) that our 3500-lb transfer would equal about $2100 max policy. Rather, the letter suggested that as the sofa weighed just 300 pounds. That is the way they decided it is worth as $61. Even if we’d bought extra insurance, as that is a choice you’re informed of, why trouble as you are pretty much paying to replace a damaged thing yourself afterward, and taking an opportunity since you do not understand what’s going to be ruined and the way?! It is totally and utterly foolish plus also a RIP OFF.
This is a real leather, not ensured, sofa that was initially bought for around 2000, and rather than dependable moving service we had been introduced with as dumb as you can imagine, inconsiderate men who thought and made fun of this substantial harm they caused… As well as also a letter in the email stating the worth of our sofa had been’$61′ – but people would not even be receiving this pocket change again because of the way they rig their coverages.
I can’t say enough how far we regretted reserving with those men… Please do not make the identical mistake. Moving is stressful enough without adding additional needlessly.
We initially went with moving.ca Two Small Men with Big Hearts since they had been great to handle and client support together with quotation was great. I was subsequently told my record was being passed on to Wayne the shipment at AMS Transportation. They established our burden on the number of bedrooms being transferred, were likely to send our automobile and the quotation was approximately $4100 from BC to Alberta. The men came quite nice and excited to assist and then the day got longer and longer and they had been telling us we needed to much stuff and nobody told them to attract 3 men instead of two. They could not bring the vehicle at precisely the exact same load as promised and shipped it days after. Once delivered into the storage locker things needed to be removed from the truck and piled somewhat due to being in storage some time. The motorist Dan was totally violent and tired, was crying and swearing at us in the front of my daughter about how his job was to drain the trailer and get the F out of there. He had been un-willing to help us load the locker like we had it done. He started belittling us, mocking us and throwing fits about how we had been doing things. A video was shot of this driver/mover Dan and forwarded for their head office. We’d damaged things and also his reply was”not my issue! “DO NOT HIRE these folks or if your relocation becomes sold to them then offset it!
Caution!!!!! Horrible horrible firm.
They utilize a individual named Bruce.
If you receive a call from him hang up instantly.
Take note. They were overdue for 5 times. Do not think their promises.
We hired this firm to move my family out of Ontario to BC at June 2011. When our stuff’d eventually arrived we needed to cover for them to complete the delivery. The shipping man complained that he was unaware that there was just one flight of stairs. He didn’t give me some opportunity to indicate off the incoming boxes to ensure that everything was all there, and nothing has been ruined. My husband signed up the newspaper simply to learn that we were overlooking a few boxes of things. Some was my son’s toys and books. I also had busted angel collectibles. When I contacted the company the following day, they stated that it had been too late as my husband declared that all was there. I contacted the BBB, but they had been of no help in any way. We didn’t recover our lost things, nor were we rewarded for our stolen or lost items.
We picked a Moving Company (Great ol’ Boys), obtained a quotation and we consented. A moving company came and loaded with our possessions. What we did not understand was, that Great ol’ antiques – the company we picked, gave the contract to another firm – AMS. There was not any communication about it – it was consistently the statemant: ” We can do so and that and you’ll be able to call us. Not AMS. Additionally, we never receive the complete names and in which the head office is. Not even if we requested for it. On the road to our new destination, we have a telephone call that we must pay our invoice before shipping. We requested serveral times for a statement because we did not agree with the last quantity. We understood we’d about 600lbs less that which they billed us, and they billed us two% more for fuel surcharge. After we requested, they state:” It’s exactly what it is. You’ve got to pay or we’ll maintain your belongings.” After several telephone calls and between BBB (no assistance from the way), we discovered that AMS did not weigh our things (dispatcher told me ) and they simply charged what is about the quotation. Seriously????? After another week, they consider our things, not sure that has been our things because it Wasn’t an expert weight reduction. The proprietor known as first my husband, crying along with my husband wrapped up. A couple of days after, he phoned me and crying, flowing and while crying, ” he explained :” I do not care what it is you’re saying. You can’t pay your bill that is why you do not cover. I have that each day.” Excuse me????? I simply don’t want to get raped. This behavior Is Quite unprofessional, rude and not okay. We gave up and we compensated since we’d fear that They’d charge us a chance for storage. After we paid, they did not know where to provide – well, no communication in the company Also! Please be certain that you receive the organization that you select, make certain that they consider the truck before and after loading (you’ve got the right to be together with them. Perhaps they’re filling up the tank following loading???) . And read testimonials! I’ll do this in future.
I hired Relocation Services Canada to transfer me in Ontario to Alberta. Relocation Canada contracted my transfer out to AMS transport. My contract said my possessions would arrive in 7-10 business day. My possessions came after 15 business days after several tries to make them honor the time propagate onto the contract. Wayne their rep in Calgary was quite impolite and in-sensitive for my situation. When the things arrived a couple of items of electronics and furniture were ruined, and duly noticed by the delivery driver. As soon as I submitted my ruined claim with paid nearly $500 to get additional insurance policy coverage, I had been offered partial reimbursement for a few of the damaged things. I must take them to court to receive complete damages. Look closely at the stock sheet in pickup and search for the codes Sc, ch, etc significance chipped scraped, they delegated these codes into my brand-new furniture, fortunately they weren’t broken during transit. When they were I wouldn’t have any claim simply because by signing the sheet you’re agreeing that the products were broken prior to pickup. DON’T USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR RELOCATION, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
We used the company to transfer our furniture from Florida into Collingwood and it was a complete catastrophe, despite all of the assurances from AMS that they had been the best firm for your job!
Firstly, on the afternoon of the movement they conducted on the allocated elevator period in our condominium on account of their staff coming 2.5hrs overdue (a period that AMS had asked to arrive). Our condominium attempted to charge us an extra $250 for additional elevator period, AMS refused to cover this but fortunately I was able to speak the condominium management into not charging me.
AMS then hurried to finish the movement out and ruined most of our furniture from the procedure. Despite assurances that they take care of land and that everything could be dispersed, their employees came with no sufficient wrapping blankets. I specifically said to their team on numerous occasions that I did not want our brand new white couch leaving the flat with no being wrapped, however once I was then hoping to take care of the construction management to stop them charging us for the further elevator period, AMS staff chose the couch to the truck unprotected.
As soon as I understood what was occurring, I went down to the truck and captured them yanking our $5000, 8 month old white couch throughout the ground of the leasing truck unprotected. Now I attempted to telephone the AMS office several occasions but there was no answer. I called dispatch and informed them of what was occurring and they looked as shocked as I was about the situation and stated they’d talk to the group. . But by that point it had been too late.
As anticipated, on coming in Toronto All the furniture has been unbelievably dirty and / or ruined:
Sofa: our couch was coated in black soil, hand prints, damaged cloth. Additionally, 1 portion of the sectional was a very different colour to another. It seemed as Though It had sustained water damage
Mattress: The mattress came covered in grime and again appears to possess considerable polluted water damage on one side
Book Shelf: The publication shelf has had a complete shelf ripped off and yet another one partly ruined.
Box Spring: The box spring came covered in stained and dirt
Headboard: the headboard has been covered in filthy finger prints and contains damage to a leg and the trimming
Chair: among our seats came with dirty finger prints on a side
Lamps: three of our lights came with harm to the colors. The delivery man said that they have to happen to be boxed. They had been attached to the lamps if they had been accumulated and it wasn’t mentioned that they had to be boxed that we’d have completed there and then with our other boxed products. Rather, AMS personnel removed the colors at a certain stage after set and ruined them in the procedure or through transport.
All of our furniture has been less than 8 weeks old and we have receipts for each of the purchases. We filed a damage claim for about $5200 to AMS and after chasing and pursuing for 6 months that they eventually sent us a check for about $19.
Obviously, we’ll be taking legal actions today. Please do your homework before applying this business.
Deficiency of professionalism and bad email etiquette. Don’t meet agreed upon delivery deadline. Damaged items (mold, water & busted ). No acknowledgement of obligation. Missing things. Delivered a different client’s items. Online satellite monitoring system (GlobalCom) tool promoted in person and also on website is not non-existent. Contents transferred from boxes to another.
The laundry list of items that went wrong with this provider is too long to discuss.
AMS functioned in tandem with The Relocate Group, aka relocationservicescanada.com or relocategroup.com. Between the several aliases and business it was not possible to find anybody to accept responsibility.
The principal offenders – Jim Dixon (the dispatcher), Wayne (the driver), Russell Gooding (the accounts supervisor ), Kendra (the service representative ).
TLC Programs from Canada /AMS transportation. They appear to be operating together. This is the very first business I’ve seen that fees you up front before they pick up and send your possessions. Whenever your possessions gets lost forget it! They’ll ignore your requirements, they will lie, and they don’t refund you. They get competitive. My 6 ft tree (costing 300 bucks ) using the tree stand and stone (costing 93.57) acquired lost. I asked for this and they had been so rude. They wouldnt return my calls. Boxes were available when they transferred my items. Please find a much better firm. I’d have understood. They were rude from the beginning.
Please avoid this company whatsoever, if you would like to save yourself a while. I read the poor reviews, and I still went together, following Pat from TLC Movers promised me that this firm does tens of thousands of motions and that I should not worry with a couple of bad reviews. I am here to inform you that it was worse than I might have imagined.
The pick up date has been something that I needed to call a few times to organize. The motorist called me the day before to say he would be in my place around noon. He did not arrive before 7:30PM, and he had been lonely. 1 man to move a 2 bedroom flat! I inquired why he had no assistance, and his reply was”I did not find out about this before yesterday.” Alright… I’d reserved the move a few weeks earlier, so I am not certain why business was so bad.
However nice, he took 4 hours to load everything by himself and guaranteed to text the last burden to me. He did not. I needed to telephone and email several days before I received my final complete (two weeks following the pickup ). The girl who took my charge even had the audacity to say to me”we do not program drop-off till you’ve paid.” WHAT DO YOU THINK I WAS TRYING TO DO THIS WHOLE TIME?
The fall off was WAY worse. Three men showed up, so that I thought”good, this ought to be fast,” but they were not exactly the most effective. 1 middle-aged man kept groaning as though he had been in pain, and has been limping a little. The younger man was wheezing, also stated that he had been having difficulty breathing. The next man stayed in the trailer for nearly all of the transfer.
They introduced in a number of things which weren’t mine, and when I stated they did not belong to mepersonally, the movers listened very perplexed. Yes boys, there was a reason which didn’t have a decal…
I got back everything, so I am taking that as a little triumph. But, there was water damage for my DVD shelves, and if I pointed this out, the movers only got angry and defensive, stating that they had nothing to do with it. This is where the problem began.
My younger brother, who had been serving me out, made a remark about the way disorganised and dumb the entire process was, and the man got really angry. He threatened to shake my brother, even when my brother pointed out that his job was in danger if he did.
Happily, he backed off. He requested him to admit the harm, and he denied. He bullied me into signing the types, which I did not receive a copy of, and then I asked him to get out. I really don’t enjoy the notion of being endangered in my own house, so in the event that you don’t either, avoid this business.
We still have to unpack everything, and attempt to receive a claim done for your damaged items. Based on the reviews I have read, it will not be prosperous. I compensated for the additional insurance, if this makes any difference.
These folks are scammers. They say something, and do some other. They smashed my 3000 TV and ruined a dozen other pieces of furniture. Boxes arrived squished and furniture scraped. They had been incredibly aggressive and impolite and when I registered a complaint, I might not get a human being on the telephone. Their mails took weeks in between responses along with the test I purchased to replace the TV? $15.
That is right $15.
Don’t trust these folks with your possessions and tell everybody else you know that they’re horrible, awful human beings. Frankly, I really don’t understand how they sleep at night.
I’ll continue to keep this brief as we’ve been 6 weeks seeking to solve a claim in terms of broken furniture.
In summary:
Movers arrived, 1 man in his late 70’s and young man, those who spent the entire time whining about how awful it’s functioning for AMS.
We gave them the specific address and clarified the 1 way street system in the flat, driver/mover stated they weren’t informed about 1 way program and came with 80 ft long record and obstructed street for 3 hours, even quite irate neighbors and authorities were called too, fortunately there was a telephone on radio for many authorities to attend and that they didn’t return, complete nightmare.
Movers left rugs covered with grime out of snow out and sidewalk soil. They were assumed to utilized temp rugs for moist trolley wheels.
Furniture came two days later once I took 2 weeks off work and flew from Saskatchewan to Ontario to assist with the birth, so that I wasn’t there when furniture came, Leather furniture was scuffed and television was lost. Unbelievable.
Seriously don’t use this business, Bruce Told me himself claims are discounted!!! In terms of the packaging, take a peek at the images. Additionally the refused to transfer ANY liquid,” Zero.
Avoid them at all costs.
Just like some other reviewers, we didn’t realize we had been reserving using AMS, and never could have done thus given their bad online testimonials. We rather booked using TLC Movers from Canada, that never mentioned the title AMS through our comprehensive contact before booking, and then stopped responding to our worries once they got our deposit.
I really could write a book on how dreadful AMS was, however I will just post Some of the highlights:
1) The pickup motorist called us two weeks prior to our planned delivery to inform us that a) they might no longer have space for our possessions and b) that they had been arriving a day before. When we attempted to inform them this was hopeless, as we’d the hectic road blocked for one more day after much quotations, and that we wouldn’t be prepared, we were advised we either could take the early movement or get it cancelled. He yelled at me along with my husband, and also berated the dimension of the movement as hardly worth his time.
2) Extremely bad communication. Emails and telephone calls went unanswered regarding pickup and delivery dates, even when I explained I was waiting to reserve an worldwide flight based in their shipping date.
3) Substantial damage to our possessions. Along with several crushed boxes which arbitrary bystanders commented on, they shattered off the leg a desk, dropped components to our bedframe, also finally got our sofa wet.
4) The pickup motorist tagged everything as ruined, and the majority of it incorrect (e.g., boxes tagged as furniture and also vice versa). Several numbered things were lost but we weren’t able to determine what they had been because nothing was tagged correctly.
5) The movers got in a debate with another renter, and our construction manager told me that AMS had really been prohibited from our construction due to their bad support and mistreatment of taxpayers. They just reason our movement was let is because we wrongly though it had been TLC really doing a go.
Do not make the exact same mistake we did- be certain that the organization you’re booking using is NOT subcontracting outside to a poorly reviewed firm. I guess this customer trickery is the only way firms like AMS remain in operation.
They utilize a individual named Bruce. He’ll make false claims. Subsequently AMS will come in the scene. Movers are extremely disrespectful, impolite. Will quote you accordingly high that you can not pay. Then they are going to endanger one to waste your own stuff. Beware
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! They’ll rip you off and not even blink an eye while they do it. Being experienced with having a moving business. Don’t know that they are suppose to supply you the evidence of weight of your own belongings before signing off to the delivery. I wound up paying $600 over that which I had been quoted. I’ve requested for the waybill and haven’t received it. STAY AWAY!!!
They employ marketing people under fraudulent business names such as Regional Moving and Storage, to search people to their own. There are just three or four individuals who operate the business. You may call a few times until somebody replies. He’ll request your contact number and guarantee to phone you back. But never does this.
Give yourself some reassurance and avoid them. They will overcharge you. I had been qouted 2190 plus they billed me 2604.
This review the following critique for Bruce. Who had been hired purchase AMS under a different business name to search people for AMS:

This firm dropped my big, oak table whilst unloading – a inspector needed to visit the hospital since the ramp hadn’t been correctly attached and the dining table landed partially on him. The guy in charge made notice on the furniture launch forms that the table was lost, he then told me that I needed to sign each page or else they could not depart, and that the claims section could take his notice. I just obtained a snarky letter together with the furniture launch forms highlighted where I’d signed (and at different areas ) informing me that because I’d signed to the furniture, I’d taken responsibility for the harm. Never use this firm or its affiliated moving service supplier – Relocation Services Canada.
