    American Movers and Storage

If you’re interested in finding lies deceit flaws slow shipping this is your enterprise to utilize. They’re only a 1 truck business that agents to sub-par sub contractors. Run away as fast as possible you won’t receive any support what so ever and you’ll be held hostage for at least an extra $1000 in the event that you utilize them. A transfer of 1100 mph which has been picked up within an unmarked van without a DOT#s or MC#s that demanded payment in full until they’d dispatch the truck that the night following pickup then guaranteed delivery in four weeks required 3 months without a telling four times that the shipping has been set. They aren’t movers they’re crooks.

    Long-distance move from Texas
    Scam artists, run

I’d already moved half of the things in my home out of Pa into Texas myself so that my wife hired those men to move the remainder of the down stuff because they gave us a $4500 quote. She gave them consent to draw a $2000 deposit out of her bank accounts then saw a week or so after they had helped themselves to a different $2500 without notifying her. Then they told her that they’d miscalculated & were doubling the initial quote & hence needed more cash down. My spouse was there independently & pressed for time & did not feel as if she had any option except to continue regardless of the excess price. On the afternoon of the transfer they delivered a subcontractor there using a truck then required yet more cash to load the truck despite the fact that they had accumulated $4500 that was presumed to be half down, then attempted to inflate the whole project up to well above $12,000 to transfer half of our belongings. . ! My wife finally told them to have lost & although she got scammed from $4500 we began around with a different firm because if she allowed them depart with our things they’d have most probably held it till they emptied our bank sum. Avoid these men & warn your friends & loved ones. . !

    BEWARE These Scammers!

I filed a quotation request on a website for locating movers. American Movers & Storage in Macon, GA, was among those firms which responded. The proprietor, Joseph Harris, called me while pretending to answer the telephone, that I thought was strange at the moment, but that I thought that maybe a script onto the site had known us equally.

As soon as I explained I was attempting to transfer my possibly harmful ex’s items to his mother in Florida,” Harris provided a quote cost which I consented to, and that I paid a deposit of $748 on the telephone. The quote was sent with a link within an emailaddress. That link no longer functions. Here’s the URL: http://fox.hellomoving.com/wc.dll?mpest~FriendlyIn~PQFJ123584~4697~138708293

The proprietor stated that his firm owns their own trucks and that someone could call me to finalize a pick-up over the March 26 – April 3, 2019, period.

I have never heard from them again. I was not delivered a receipt or copy of this quote. I was not emailed or called again, or seen. I’ve tried phoning and emailing without a response.

Following the 3rd passed, I filed a dispute with Chase, the servicer of their credit card that I used to receive the deposit. Chase sided with those scammers when they told them that a motorist had come into my home”inside the 48 hour window” and had been turned off.

I’ve got security cameras which may demonstrate that no one had arrived or been sent off, however Chase won’t accept these or photographs or telephone logs or (absence of) mails as proof. I have two roommates who will affirm that they never watched or socialized with anybody from this organization. Additionally, there are several internet reviews & testimonials by other folks that have been scammed, and that I sadly saw after the actuality.

I’m out $748 and still have my possibly harmful ex’s items in my personal possession. I’m submitting reports to each service I can consider.

    Thus Far, I have completed:

Scammers! Check the BBB do not USE

UPDATE-2 weeks have gone by and the firm has still not responded to me personally with a settlement for the dreadful service OR my missing things. The great reviews are fine, but it is simple when things go according to plan. A fantastic company/business is recognized when their performance doesn’t proceed according to plan and they have the circumstance and do what’s essential to ensure it is appropriate to their client. This really is as dreadful small business. Their reviews about the site I think are fake because I cannot even find their FB page they cite. Do not make the identical error I made.
I’ve reported their company methods into this BBB, and this is the answer that I received out of the BBB. Watch them up on the BBB prior to contemplating them, and you’ll notice extra reports exactly the exact same as mine.
“The Better Business Bureau has produced many efforts to get hold of the company concerning the criticism. We regret to advise that we’ve not got a reply from the business.
The BBB grows and keeps Reliability Reports on businesses in our support area. This info is offered to both general public and is often employed by potential clients. In the event of your criticism, the firm’s failure to immediately concentrate on this issue is going to undoubtedly be reflected in the accounts we provide to customers about them.”

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Don’t adhere to the bonded program for pickup and delivery. Programs third parties to finish moves once they ensure it’s all done through them just. Showed up 3 hours late for pickup with one person and his 15 year-old step son to perform the task. They loaded my possessions to a funding rental truck. Did not provide next day as ensured. Arrived 3 days after at 1:30am to send possessions at apartment complex in which folks are still sleeping, and there’s a rigorous quiet hour guideline. Mover came alone, and did not have anybody to assist him with the occupation that definitely took minimum of 2 movers, therefore me since the customer needed to help unload and transfer all my possessions in the middle of the night. I’m 30 years old, 115 pounds, I live alone and I am recovering from a shoulder injury. I’m not an expert inspector that is why I hired a moving company. By 1:30am till 5:30am I transferred everything I have in my brand new 4th floor flat with a guy that doesn’t even work for American Storage and Servers. I’ve been calling and asking a settlement to this dreadful situation, and also have obtained 0 followup or call backs. They also lost a few of my lamps and also have supplied no follow up in my lost things. They transferred my belongings from a Budget truck into some other truck sometime throughout the 72+ hours that my possessions were lost along with the whole firm was unreachable. Their later hours telephone lines for help are automatic and hang upon youpersonally, and also the email address in their site comes back undeliverable. My possessions were trashed and damaged. Jeff Woodford is that the Sr. logistics Coordinator which offered me a support they were not able to follow along with. Kate is the supervisor who doesn’t follow up, and cannot offer resolution. Michael is your”boss” who murdered me out and informed me that they do not work in my own time, and that I am going to need to make myself accessible when they can send my things. After being ensured a delivery on Tuesday 3/5 at 6pm from Kate, that will be 48 hours later scheduled and guaranteed delivery date and time, my possessions arrived at 2am Wednesday 3/6. No compassion and no maintenance that they awakened. No efforts to earn anything right. YOU SHOWED UP AT 2AM WITH ONE PERSON!

American Movers, Macon GA (Formerly American Wide Relocation)

I managed to receive a refund from the bothering firm to get a deposit that they tried to stay with no basis, but it was like pulling teeth. I had to request support from the BBB, FMCSA and legal help. Apparently they are not in their recorded address in Macon, GA and are located in West Palm Beach, FL. Furthermore, they apparently make clients sign an agreement not to record complaints, which might be unlawful (ask your lawyer, I am not just one, but that is precisely what I heard). I expect that the Attorney General of FL (or GA) or some group of people (or both) will finally collect enough complaints which a class action lawsuit is filed against them. I really wish all of the best to the men and women who have been abused by this corporation.

    AVOID!

We appreciated this moving business back in February of 2019. We’d put a excellent cost and felt more confident in our arrangement. Fast ahead to if we were presumed to be picked up. We called 3 times prior to pickup and advised them that we had over we’d agreed on and a new cost has been given a bit more than doubling our price. We did have a whole lot more than initially believed so we agreed to 82 bits becoming picked up and what was great. The initial”deposit” has been compensated plus we paid an extra”deposit” to the extra price. (As much as 2500 at this stage from 5200 which has been consented )The movers were supposed to be present Thursday. Thursday came. No one called or showed. Friday came. No one called or showed. We began calling and have been awarded multiple explanations as to why they were not there yet and also the time kept shifting but we had been confident that they were on the road. Midnight Friday comes and still nothing. We predicted 42 days back to back until finally someone replied. We had been advised it’d be Saturday morning. Saturday dawn come. . Day includes nothing. We begin calling again. We have informed that the movers ‘ are filling the vehicle and will probably be there shortly. The two boys that appear from another moving business (sparks) at a 24 foot pensky leasing truck that is roughly a quarter of their truck stuffed already don’t have any clue how to use the elevator gate. Scratch up the drive of this leasing house we’re moving out of. Request us to buy these dinner as they’re hungry. The move to inform us they want gas money since their business credit cards dont work. We offer them $400 cash and a check for $1,700 (around $4,600) to pickup and move. About the paperwork they compose our grand amount of 5285 and notice or cash/check payment. We register and provide them a day for shipping. We receive a call 4 times ahead of our shipping is scheduled and have been advised we spend $3177 plus they’ll be there the following moment. We notify them we won’t have ownership of this new home for 4 more days and it must say that about the types we signed up and also, where is that $3177 additional price coming out of? We have mixed responses of this had been use of this truck, it had been our reservation fee, fuel price, and an agent’s commission. Only a lot of lies. The plumber informs us that he will speak to the workplace and get it straightened out. The following phone call we receive is a week after telling us that we currently have to cover $4,777 since they needed to reschedule $1000, along with a $600 shuttle services? We predict. Get the redelivery fee waived but the shuttle service could still apply since they must move our belongings to a more compact truck to provide. We call and call and call. We get nowhere. It has been more than a month and also the many we’ve gotten is a offer to repay 500 to people. They shifted the kind we signed once they picked up. They lie on us every day. We still do not have our possessions in our house and now they are threatening to dismiss our possessions. We’ve contacted the authorities and attorneys. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON! YOU Won’t SAVE YOURSELF MONEY! You are only going to feel helpless because the scam you for every cent you’ve got!

    I think they have disappeared

We contracted this inspector to maneuver my mom from MO into IN. Same guarantees others got: owned their trucks, ultra attentive and respectful, and movers will be timely. None of this occurred. We had a contract ceremony appear in a rental truck, used another truck to send so that they eliminated and reloaded. Nothing has been covered with blankets. The facts go on and on. It was a nightmare. We’d hurt on virtually every bit of furniture. We filed a claim with photographs and very clear explanation of all that went wrong. I’ve known them so many times and gotten nowhere. Today I can’t reach them. Their toll free number was disconnected. They’ve likely dropped off the ground and began up as another corporation.

Don’t Use OFF-NAME COMPANIES. CHECK REFERENCES. THESE PEOPLE ARE SMOOTH TALKERS!!

I WILL NOT RECOMMEND AMERICAN MOVERS

Please don’t use this moving business. My experience with them was a nightmare. They lost my electrical elastic box spring, and also provided my 40 as reimbursement. They are really not a moving business. They are brokers. My stuff had been tampered with, a number of my boxes have been opened and things missing, a few bottle of perfume (fresh ) that I purchased my husband, dumbbells (25 and 10 pounds ), a plastic container with coins (approx 5lbs). In addition, the driver that delivered my things attempted to scam me from 500 more. They also gave me somebody else’s substance. I needed to phone the driver to tell him that I had things which didn’t belong to me personally. This provider is a wreck. However, I blame myself for not doing my search first.

    Scam Artists

This is the worst going experience possible. American Movers & Storage can also be Called Atlas Moving and Storage. They change their name in an effort to evade their horrible business ratings and adverse customer feed back. Atlas Moving and Storage lured me in with a quotation that appeared too good to be true. After talking the arrangement in span, the sales rep addressed all of my questions and worries. Almost instantly after I signed up, it became evident that the sales reps had been telling me anything I had to hear, for example, price of delivery and service period, to get me to sign the contract. What was NOT revealed in the contract has been that the title of this sub-contractors Atlas hires to perform the moving solutions. If I’d understood that Intagrated Moving Solutions Inc.. I’d have canceled the contract straight off their’F’ company rating with the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately I was oblivious and proceeded ahead. Simply speaking, it required Intagrated Moving Solutions Inc. 2.5 days to pack and load my 1200 sq.ft. Flat in the moving truck, 28 days to provide my possessions and increased my initial, contracted shifting commission 110%. When I raised these issues with Atlas I had been advised that there was nothing Atlas can do about the bad business practices of Intagrated Moving Solutions Inc.. That I would need to take this up together. Atlas refused to take accountability for hiring IMS Inc..
The IMS Inc. team was late, unprepared, ineffective, inexperienced, dumb, improper and respectful. After being in my house to 2.5 days, they informed me at 1:30AM, that the price of the moving solutions would grow 110% by the first contract I signed by Atlas Moving and Storage. They also advised they’d take up to ten days to send my house, although my Atlas contract said 5. After numerous calls for Atlas Moving and Storage and 27 days after, my delivery has been scheduled for Thursday 7/25 involving 1pm-7pm. I had been ready with a money order, by a national bank, to cover my remaining balance. The IMS Inc. driver refused to take the money order since it had been from a financial institution, in place of the post office. Following a lot of commotion, the driver left with no unloading the vehicle. I made a few calls to IMS Inc. the next morning and rescheduled the delivery for this day. Not one of the boxes were tagged when packaged so the shipping team dumped all boxes in 1 room. A third of those boxes have been crushed from being piled without thought of weight. Not one of the disassembled furniture has been reassembled in complete. My hardwood floors has been ruined because of the movers pulling heavy furniture without shielding the floor. As I start to unpack have begun to realize that I’m missing things, biggest being a complete size head board. I noticed that I had not seen it come off the truck toward the conclusion of the afternoon. When I asked the delivery guy about it, he said it had been coming. I understood after they left that it was still missing. I left a message using Atlas reporting the lost furniture but haven’t got a return call. I am quite disgusted by the bait and switch sales strategies, disgusted from the shoty business practices and disgusted from the F rated contractors hired to finish the job. It disturbs me that companies like Atlas Moving and Integrated Moving may go on always scam customers. It is criminal and it must stop.

    Avoid at all costs.

Watch the BBB of Georgia site, hunt for American Storage and Movers of Macon Georgia. They’ve three alarms about their bad customer support and questionable business practices.

They are going to have excellent customer support and move out of the way to acquire your deposit and establish a move. They’ll say whatever and then when a different moving company arrives to pick up your belongings they won’t honor the shifting contract and bill your longer, continue to your belongings for up to a month, and then continue asking for cash. You may pay double to get your transfer and maybe have things damaged or missing. The insurance company will cover 6 bucks each month. So should they ruin your 10 pound horizontal screen TV you’ll receive 60 bucks.

We used them and it turned out to be a complete catastrophe. The moving business who picked up us needed $600 more bucks, and if we refused to cover they drove off leaving us stranded without movers. I really was relieved if they drove off because after 3 hours of attempting to make them respect the contract we all felt like we’d dodged a bullet. Their 24 hour customer support line doesn’t exist.

    You’ve been warned.

    DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This business will bill you, then sub-contract your move out into disreputable, dreadful movers, who’ll bill you even more. We’re around $4,000 to proceed 10 milesper hour We’d delivery flaws, broken furniture, as well as furniture which wouldn’t be off-loaded till we agreed to cover an additional $300 to the movers,”since they needed to take the staircase” ONE FLIGHT!

If I could provide a lower score than 1 star, I’d.

    Absolutely HORRIBLE! STAY AWAY

I establish a transfer with Jeff out of American Movers and Storage and explained to him that our home was available and we didn’t have a moving date scheduled now. I did clarify that we were expecting to be out of there about May, but not to put down a moving date. 1 afternoon I was sitting at my office and saw an unmarked white moving truck pull into our driveway. I walked out to determine whether they had the incorrect speech, and they didn’t. I explained to them that we were not going since they might see our home was still for sale and there should have been a mix up inside the corporation. They called the business although I was on the drive after which I got a call from among those women at work called Rachel. She stated that these gentleman simply drove 800 miles from the way to pick us up. I explained that we never put up a moving date and as she looked in her notes, she found that it had been the moving company’s error and she cried. I felt dreadful for the three gentleman who drove that far, but it wasn’t our fault. A few months later, again I had been sitting at my office and watched the exact same truck and gentleman pull up again and that I was amazed. I walked out and explained to them that I talked with the organization and explained that we were not moving yet and I’d call them if we had been and that they screwed up again. This time the gentleman drove 250 miles from the way. They called the company again and I’m not certain what was mentioned because I was leaving for a meeting. Then one of the women at work called me over the past month or so and asked if I’d sold our home yet and prepared to proceed and I said no, it was still available. These dreadful mistakes have occurred twice, and I really don’t have some hope with this organization along with my valuables. When I talked with Jill, I got very disappointed. How they have zero notes in my account saying that these gentleman have come to my home twice, when actually the movers talked with one of those women from the business twice from the errors. I find it really disheartening that their firm has failed to take the right steps with this circumstance and documenting all discussions. I also did take a complete account of what in our home if setting up the transfer with Jeff, along with the truck that came would in no way match everything we’ve got, and they said they also had a different family to pickup following December. The truck that pulled up was not any larger than 26 ft, which our things wouldn’t match. When it did, I’d have leased a U-Haul truck and pushed ourselves. The reason why we hired a moving company is that we had a bigger truck than 26 ft and this wouldn’t have sufficed. Also when establishing the transfer with Jeff, I had been told that this wasn’t a 3rd party business, which apparently it’s, and that I had been lied to in the start. In addition, I don’t value their tone when talking with me since I’m the client. They’ve always lied and when attempting to call them now to discover if my email was reviewed to have a refund, then the amount no longer exists. I did some digging and they changed their name yet again to Atlas storage and moving. When seeking to leave a voicemail on all different lines, it says each of voicemail’s are complete. I am unable to even hit them to receive a refund, and so I’ll be filing complaints with everybody I could. They’ve done nothing but lie to me from day one.

Should have read these reviews before.

My transfer price was $3,752.92 from California to Washington and ended up being $6,764.57. And that isn’t the worse of this narrative.
After my husband passed away, I made a decision to move in with family. Written below are what I went through and things I heard during my movement. Hopefully my opinions can help safeguard others in their own moves.

    (1) Went by American storage and movers that I discovered much later was a Broker. Was not until the next person called me that I found out my items might be moving into storage prior to shipping to my new residence.
    (2) When the truck came to pick up my boxes, here’s exactly what I later, much later, learned after much study on the pc:
“Carrier can’t control whether appropriate packing methods are utilized by shipper, so on boxes packed with the proprietor in addition to pressed wood (particle board) furniture, delicate or fragile items like china, glass, decorations, etc.; accountability is limited to $0.60 per pound per article. Carrier, or its agent, has the right to inspect and fix any alleged harm.”
This wording wasn’t in my contract and also the Oasis Moving and Storage Co. refused to send me a copy of a signed agreement they stated they’d with my touch on it. One which wasn’t given to me from the movers who picked up my household things. Thus, when delivery has been being performed, my computer desk was dropped as it had been transferred from the truck and also broken. It isn’t guaranteed, even in the.60 cents per dollar worth based on Oasis, Anthem along with the US Movers Association arbitration.
    (3) About the family products descriptive stock, some things which were marked CP so that it was carrier packaged but the pc tables which were marked CP weren’t wrapped rather than respected by the moving firm as part of the obligation since it had been pressed wood. The heavy glass bits came out OK.
    (4) Boxes which have been heavy duty, gotten out of a UPS store, were shattered and broken up to 4 to 5 inches. So heavy things had to been put along with lighter boxes. Thus much breakage from dangling lights into china to metal pans and pots, plastic lids. My safe contains dents and marks that were generated during the storage or move. Missing things also.
    (3) After shooting photographs of broken things and filling out forms, sending newspapers to Anthem Claim Management, I received a letter saying:”There are not any feedback or exceptions to the Descriptive Inventory List imagining any damage or loss occurring during transit. Carrier isn’t responsible for all items packaged with owner (PBO). And Because of it’s delicate nature, carrier takes no liability for damages to furniture built of pressed wood/particle plank or other wood products that are manufactured .” They said, once I made a few calls for them, I must have read the back of this contract. All contract newspapers were shipped via email without a wording, as signaled by these, was about the contract.
    (4) Called US Movers Association arbitration. Arbitration fee $150.00 and movers will cover other half.
    (5) Called Oasis again was advised she’d send signed documents then called back within 10 seconds stating she wouldn’t send newspapers and also for me to call American Idol.
    (6) Have known as American Movers and Storage four occasions now, constantly busy, no response.

    So:
Ensure that you do research on national government laws concerning Fragile products. Reread all of pamphlets on moving that you could find online.
Make certain movers just deliver during daytime hours since the Arbitrator explained that I shouldn’t have approved moving things delivered at nighttime. I must have advised movers to return next day.
Ensure that you don’t signal the initial and final Inventory list produced by the transferring packers until later assessing everything yourself to ensure nothing is lost nor broken.

    Best of luck.

Scam Artists - Lies upon Lies!!

This business is a joke. They lie about what.

They provide a gorgeous narrative of of owning trucks that were moving, using white glove service to come along and move your belongings, this can be until reality strikes on going day.

All of the sudden you will need a cashiers search for another firm, ours showed up at a rental box truck using a very different firm. So on going day, you’re supposed to step contracts and enter agreement for this new business.

New firm held our belongings for two weeks before delivery, plenty of items broken and still fighting to acquire the insurance coverage from the new firm.

These individuals are agents and do not take care of [EDIT] once you sign their contract. STAY AWAY!!!
