    Long-distance move from Nixa, MO
    On-going

I am certainly walking the fence with this one. They certainly were excited to begin ahead of schedule, which warped MY program. But I could live with this. And they seemed to understand their occupation of loading fairly well. Though, I questioned putting and very feeble container beneath two heavy boxes onto the dolly, and that I felt as though they had been offended that I said it. I also was not keen on viewing with my 170-year old antique treadle sewing machine cabinet turned upside down while wrap it. I was immediately reassured of the experience and advised to not worry. I have been a military influenced my entire life (73 years), therefore I am no stranger to the surprises you’ll be able to see in the end of a transfer. I am withholding any criticisms/compliments for later I see that the final result. But what I AM unhappy about is that the paperwork. From start to end, I believe that is a tragedy. The largest difficulty is that All State USA is a sub-contractor of types. A agent, Excalibur Transferring Group, procured my contract, and then passed it on to All Condition. Somewhere in the move a couple of numbers appear to have shifted. Additionally, during the implementation of the many pages of forms my motorist introduced to me to signal, he appeared almost as clueless as I was. I needed to write three distinct tests for 3 distinct levels — not one of which matched the amounts I consented on if I signed my contract with Excalibur. Calls were made into your”boss” who looked aggressively determined, but was still charging me to get items (i.e.,”Fuel Surcharge”) that my Excalibur arrangement INCLUDED within their”Total Moving Estimate”. The loading of my little shipment took just 1.5 hours. For the subsequent 1.5 hours the truck, along with my possessions loaded and secured in, sat in my driveway while the paperwork motorist made several forays into my door to inform me”a mistake was made”. The bottom line was that they needed me to pay $800 at pickup, rather than the $442.50 I was taught to cover Excalibur. I wound up giving him a check for $621.50 only to remove him so that I could eat breakfast — at 11:30. I will be making some phone calls tomorrow (Monday), and that I expect that the explanations are digestible, or I will need to continue this test after my shipping. Meanwhile, if you are contracted to All Condition, guarantee that the driver brings your small”rights and duties” booklet in with the paperwork, and allow him to sit there as you read it — BEFORE you sign anything. Then read what is on these pages. You might be paying for something twice.
