    Long-distance move from South Carolina
    All American Movers

I concur with others that say DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I had exactly the exact same encounter others have comprehensive. Cost quoted on detailed and phone on initial contract dropped. When movers arrived, we walked the guy in control about and revealed everything which was to be moved. After loading the vehicle halfway, he comes back and claims that the cost needs to be raised. We finally demanded that he get a manager on the telephone (James) that obtained our quotation in $3600 to $10,000. After we maintained objecting, he subsequently dropped the price to $6500. Incidentally, James wouldn’t give us his last name. We had no option except to carry on with the transfer because we needed to be from our home in 3 days due to market of the home. Even the 1st truck couldn’t fit everything so they needed to phone in to get a 2nd truck that had to come in from Jacksonville, Fla.. They then moved it all to 2nd truck and took it to storage.

When truck came with our products, there were just two men and my husband ended up supporting merely to move things along. We’d furniture which has been brokenup, dented and scraped. Missing a part of artwork.
Wardrobe boxes arrived off truck smashed at the top and you was divided on side with things falling outside.
They promised what was in that state if they picked it up from storage. I saw the way the truck was packaged once they opened the rear doors and it was just one huge mess. I wanted they call somebody in All American however they promised the only number they had was for Dispatch and they did not operate on Saturday. Like I had been in the method of imagining damaged things on All America’s paperwork, then they drove off without even signing up or carrying the paperwork together

I tried getting a person at All American to the telephone another week. All I had was being moved into a voice mail without a follow up reply. I finally discovered the title of this firm who manages their promises on the first paperwork but wonder whether it is worth it’s time to publish a claim that is what they are counting on,

Incidentally, a ship of someone else matters were abandoned here even though we told the movers which it was not
Ours. If anybody out there’s missing any couch cushions, we’ve got them.

    Long-distance move from Florida

    The Moving Horror Story

Back in Mid September 2019 I started soliciting bids for our move out of Mishawaka, Indiana to Ft Myers Beach, Florida. I selected Gateway Express Moving dependent on the price, their comprehension of two pickup points in Indiana and two delivery places in Florida. I compensated Gateway $984 as a deposit.

I was never advised that Gateway was a broker; that Gateway possessed no trucks or transferring employees. Gateway priced my transfer using a thorough inventory and understanding of both pickup and delivery factors. They guaranteed pickup premature on October 28 and shipping in 5-9 days. The Friday prior to the guaranteed Monday afternoon pickup, I again reviewed the stock together with Danny and Ryan and pointed out that we’d sold or given away about 1000 lbs of goods and furniture. He promised me that the cost would be determined by actual weight and my price goes down after the truck was weighed.

The movers–All American Movers from Dayton, Ohio called mid-morning to state they had been on the road with a half complete bath. I told them that they were going to require an empty truck. They called back, said there was a mistake and they needed to send the truck to Lafayette, Indiana and could return around 3. They called later and said they’d pickup about 6. We gave up and went into my daughter’s home to spend the evening and assumed they’d come back in the afternoon. At 10:00 pm All American Movers called my phone and said they were prepared to load. I informed them it had been too late and they ought to return tomorrow. But, I could hear them banging on our apartment door believing we had been indoors. After arguing back and forth, I finally gave in and said we’d travel to our flat and let them load. I had been drained and intimidated by their own insistence. They loaded our flat and we traveled into our storage facility for the remaining products. In the flat they believed that we hadn’t packed a massive TV and many pieces or artwork correctly and they were planning to bill me for packaging these products. This appeared to be the catalyst that they had to start wrap everything with packaging tape–sealed boxes, tubs, etc.. This wrap spree cost me around $800!! As they were packing the storage area, the chief signaled that he was siphoned the contract and requiring $3504 in immediate payment! I attempted to telephone Gate Express Moving several occasions. Now I discovered out the 24 hour customer support line wasn’t actually a 24 hour support line.

I’d now paid $4488 to get a move that has been contracted at $4044! I didn’t get a copy of the new contract, but that I had been made to sign their backup that I did imagining that everything was subject to change. I was told that the truck was going to Chicago and that it wouldn’t be weighed. It never had been (and that’s the only guarantee they retained!) They wouldn’t confirm delivery!!

About the 6th of November, I managed to Discover a number for Emily Sanchez who was allegedly the Client Care Manager for All American Movers. She explained my possessions would be sent on November 9 or 10, which we’d need to be home, and that the next $3962 will be required in the kind of money or postal money orders. In a minumum of one of our discussions, she suggested she didn’t understand of Gateway Express Moving!

I explained to her that if we contracted for the transfer we suggested the furniture would have to be delivered by November 6 or after November 12. She indicated she did not know a thing about it, that when we couldn’t accept delivery to the weekend that the things could be set in storage requiring extra charges of a few hundred bucks.

I had been optimistic that this was the conclusion of the narrative, until we started discovering the damaged and broken products. Several of those damaged items were noticed by City Movers.

I started a list of things and took photos of every thing imagining that some broken glasses were a part of collections, that the vacuum was utterly useless, which many photos had busted glass. I contacted All American Movers via email and has been advised to file my claim. I sent each of the descriptions, valuations, and images to All American Movers. I needed to record two addendums because we kept discovering broken objects and smashed vinyl bins. Back in January when I asked regarding the status of my claim, I was told that everything ought to be submitted with their insurer, not them. I inquired who their insurer was (they told me) and what happened to this material that I sent them (they did not understand ). I registered all of the descriptions, images, and types together with the insurance provider requesting around $1000 for harm. I had been made to accept $50.

I was really scammed by Gateway Express and All American movers. Both of these businesses can perpetuate this kind of action within an industry that has little if any regulation. They do not need to pay to replace or fix damaged things.

NEVER USE THEM, ALL LIES, TOTAL SCAM!

Horrible, impolite, deceptive, lazy, incompetent, greedy firm and employees.

Had contract arrangement with estimated cost of $4,500, after supplying an extremely thorough stock, that in most underestimated 2-3 boxes, together with all furniture included. Cost increased by 125 percent, following what managed to match of our possessions was loaded into the truck, then finally following additional problems of fraud.

Moving truck too little without a second truck delivered which was guaranteed in original agreement if this comes to pass, particularly if our stock checklist was accurate to within several boxes. Truck not even from their business as promised however stated Allied National, together with hole in doorway reported to be covered by cardboard to store things dry.Possessions abandoned behind-patio dining table, end tables, lamps, kid’s toy kitchenalong with other numerous bins.

We specifically asked just how much to place for down payment, were advised none necessary, we’d need to cover 40 percent up front. Had certified check created for 40 percent of the primary agreed-upon cost. After things were loaded into the vehicle, they asked 60 percent of the greater cost, saying we were supposed to have put down a down payment, and because we did not they want down said payment & 40 percent of their new estimated cost.

Contract Agreement for an immediate excursion; our things would not be about a shared flatbed, rather they’d pick up things &drop them off on specified dates. After things were filled, were advised they’d move them into a flatbed and also the oldest possible date of send could be another date, however we might have to wait for 30 days from this date.In order to acquire the direct excursion, I had to beg and agree I would be there when the truck came (thereby modifying my first strategies and needing to cover a last minute plane ticket) and also had to pay an additional $2000 to adapt them not using the bigger flatbed truck.

A number of the discussions involving the gain in cost were discussed together with Alex, who we had been told is manager there. He had been impolite enough to insinuate we did not have the money to make the trip, stated we’re dumb, attracted us to tears with his harsh words, he had been complete unpleasant and hard to take care of. At some stage he suggested that they had the money up front to cover the excursion, but once I questioned that he backpedaled to mention I had been insinuating things he never stated. He refused to talk to mepersonally, imagining a manager named John would phone me. When John did, he basically said there was nothing that he could do, as Alex is over him. When I requested to talk to some man above Alex, I had been laughed at, advised that could just be the president or owner that”doesn’t deal with clients” DO NOT DEAL WITH PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU THIS WAY!!!

We had been guaranteed 3 employees to load our furniture at Chicago, and also the exact same 3 could float in Florida. They were also responsible for taking apart and putting back together furniture. Two of the 3 employees arrived in Florida, and they never needed a third individual. I witnessed could issues where they had been badly piling up our furniture. At some stage a little filing cabinet was literally thrown to the moving truck, and that I watched the wheels snap out of it. Lots of the furniture things were put together badly, with screws which were removed, and that I needed to fix it all after the truth. There was also an whole desk that they left in bits, and that I had not gone into the area that it had been into detect it until the movers had left. Left with cracked timber, broken table/wheels, broken glass
