Alex Moving & Storage

I transferred with Alex Moving & Storage out of Whittier, CA to Dallas, TX at July 2011.   I Got an online quote from Alex  along with my transfer cost was nearly just as mentioned (less than $100 gap ).   Their packaging services were specialist as well as their pickup crew was professional and prompt.
The just three minor complaints which I would have is that there were many things that I initially recorded as being transferred and did not but my cost did not return (fridge, washer, drier not transferred, but finish cost did not return ); that the shipping team was just 1 employee and the remainder were day laborers and that they disassembled my bicycles (that I did not know they were planning to do) and, even if they reassembled one of them, it was not done correctly.
With All the transferring horror stories I have discovered, my complaints are fairly minor and I would use them again.   Really called them to get a quotation now to return to CA.

If I could give this business a drawback 1000 stars I would.   Because of Their incompetence, neglect, or worst, we lost everything we have if we get them to keep our possessions for a short period and then move us into our new home.   Even though we will never understand the accurate and complete narrative, they supposedly moved our belongings in their storage centre, packaged them into a shipping container onto a trailer, and then left the container into their private parking lot.   The container vanished one night and they”supposed” it was picked up with a freight forwarder (without any formerly made agreements or authorizing paperwork along with a demo?   Truly??!) They allegedly didn’t find that the container had really been stolen for 3 months and didn’t report the theft to the authorities after that, long after the road was cold.   Their sales representative, the police officers, and our personal investigator all told us they think it was an inside job, but Decent luck proving it.   In the time of this transfer, we’d just retired and had reliable Alex to go a life of valuable family photographs, heirlooms and works of art, Together with All our furniture and household items to our new home from country.   Following the theft, all that we had left was that the clothes within our suitcases along with our puppies, the only things we can bring with us about the airplane.   Furniture, dishes, pots and pans may be corrected, but each single photograph of our kids as babies and valuable rememberances of household members today gone Cannot Be replaced.   Our lives Won’t Ever be the Very Same thanks to the company.As difficult since the reduction was to take, the mindset of Alex and North American Van Lines was even worse.   Alex wouldn’t even return our First calls to him and instead had his Partners call back us.   When we did finally talk with him, ” he informed us they had been from the process of assessing their safety cameras to see if they might detect more details about the thieving.   We later found They had no safety cameras.   We needed to repeatedly demand compensation for the $20K we’d paid up front to allow them to transfer our possessions when it was apparent that there were no possessions to proceed.   Yes, we were finally compensated, however, it took almost 3 weeks, and we surely could have used this cash in these initial few weeks to substitute essentials we urgently needed.Selecting this business was the worst choice of our lifetimes.

Beware before applying this business, they stole my TV. They believed I would not observe that it wasn’t in my storage device, and have yet to return to me. That is quite laborious and unprofessional. If they will not return my tv, I’ll require payment.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They didn’t supply the support that we paid for. We moved from CA to GA; nevertheless we had to store our whole home for seven months. This was our perception that our possessions could be loaded into big crates, kept in a climate controlled warehouse in CA, reloaded on a truck and proceeded to GA.. Our possessions weren’t only unloaded in the crates, but our packed boxes were unpacked and REpacked along with other arbitrary products. Upon arrival of this truck in GA, the truck had been packed so full that boxes were crushed. There wasn’t a moving team scheduled to help unload. Day-laborers (from more than an hour away) came 2 hours following the vehicle to unload it. Bear in mind, we compensated for professional movers, NOT day-laborers.
A number of our possessions are damaged and a few bigger items (such as a classic rocking chair) are still lost. Not only were our things abused, we’d boxes from a different client (also on precisely the exact same truck) unloaded to our property.
We contacted the company seeing all our problems and also requested reimbursement for damage and missing things. We contacted Allied Van Lines and have been given the run around, were advised we had been out-of-luck and obtained zero reimbursement. This is the worst moving experience we’ve ever had from the four long-distance movements we’ve had. Don’t Use Alex Moving & Storage. Don’t Use Allied Van Lines.
