This is actually the second time that I have used Cheap Movers. This time, as last time, they have been efficient and quick, careful and considerate. I also had an extremely thick 50-year older Thomasville dresser; 2 bits; held together by just 3 screws. My husband enjoyed this business according to a recommendation for transferring assistance that showed up on the uhaul site when we were booking our truck and packaging supplies. Wednesday August 14, 2019 the afternoon they had been expected to assist , they texted my husband at 9 would inform him about a issue they had been having and that they didn’t know whether they were going to allow it or not since they were brief two individuals. That is not really our problem but I digress. They were assumed to be at the home between 11 and 12 but didn’t appear till nearly 4 PM and the two guys who showed up were rude and did a dreadful job. My husband and brother in law moved the majority of the heavy furniture themselves hours before the”movers” even got there. They whined about the number of boxes we had and hauled up stuff on the truck to the stage where we need to return to our previous house and catch the rest of our items. They broke our chest of drawers and also our footboard due to their lack of attention. Too bad my spouse already paid them or they would have gotten nothing since they did not deserve the little money that they obtained for the crappy support and dreadful truck loading. I have read several other reviews on this website and also the BBB site and the owner is quite rude in his answers to individuals based on people. I’ve yet to socialize with him but if he is anything like the folks that showed around our home that I do not need anything else to do with him either. We’re unhappy in any way. I hired this business on 9/26 in 10am. The movers called me in 9:15 I want to know they’ll be 15 minutes late due to traffic. They didn’t appear till 11:30am. 1 hour and a half LATE!!!!! They also struck my jewellery box. I called the owner to tell him I had been displeased with the support and his reply was”GOOD! I’ve got my cash!!” I was in absolute shock!! He said he does not care about his own criticism and he has been in operation for more than 16 decades and he has never had a terrible criticism earlier and he said that he won’t reconcile my dilemma with me since his staff couldn’t restrain the visitors. I inquired in my broken jewelry box after which he hung me up. Bottom line… DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! John Griffin, the proprietor is really a liar and incredibly unprofessional! They’ll tell you anything to receive your cash!!!!!!

Confirmed by me by telephone and email 48 hrs before move but then simply did not appear. I called a couple of times but they began sending me to voicemail. Shameful and uncontrollable. Great for the men and women who had great experiences but not trusted in any respect.
