Advantage Movers

I had a mover, and so I looked Online and discovered Advantage Movers from Plainville, CT.. I originally talked with Greg Cooper that I discovered was that the proprietor and he gave me all of the information extremely quickly. This guy talks exceptionally fast but rather articulate. It had been a hourly fee of $100 plus a $150 travel price not matter just how much time it took to get here, which has been fantastic. For 8 home (1.5 hours of the traveling and 6.5 hours of proceeding ) it was $862. OK no problem. I informed him I had a piano, a Yamaha vertical 42 inches high. He said no difficulty his guys were accredited piano movers plus they could manage it. He said he had been sending two men and a massive truck to adapt my movement. I didn’t believe 2 men was sufficient however, he assured me it had been. The day of the transfer comes and they Appear at a leased Penske truck not large in Any Way, either 22 or 26 ft, two young guys, one very small and slender and another somewhat taller dressed quite unprofessionally in Case You get my drift.   I instantly call Greg and again he promised me the truck was big enough since they might make 2 trips into the new home since it was just two miles off, which was to have much more time. I wanted to do it as fast as possible because I needed to go to work that evening. Allow me to say before I proceed any farther, the two young guys were pretty nice and actually did not scrape or break any of my furniture. The old saying do not judge a book by it’s cover is quite correct. The smaller lean person, about 135 pounds was unbelievably powerful. I truly could not feel the weight he can lift, actually. Additionally somewhat frightening at times how he picked up things, but fine guys, I believed!! I’ll also add at lunch time or so that I gave them every $100 hint so that they understood exactly what they were getting prior to the close of the day. One one them dropped the cash within thirty minutes and coudn’t locate it. Together with the very first loading, the piano has been the final thing about the vehicle and the very first step off. When they took off it, and got it in my garage, the taller of the two stated”Dude I can not take that thing up the staircase, it is to thick. Now I was certain they weren’t accredited piano movers. They gave it a go and that I believed they were planning to kill them so that I advised them to put it down, they did not understand exactly what they were doing. I needed to employ another distinct piano mover for a second $400. This is getting long so this is your ending. They got the initial load in and moved back into the home and again assured me they’d get everything, do not worry. My sister had been back in my new home awaiting them and did not go together to the previous load, large mistake since I had been with them the entire time until I left for work. The moment they had been unsupervised is if things occurred. They arrived back and unloaded the 2nd load along with also my sister asked them if everything was here and they said it is all out and here in the new location. They arrived in my new condominium, figured out that the invoice and we gave them a test. The following day I moved back into the older condominium to wash up and you will find two large bits left, a China hutch and a bookcase. I am thinking, what the hell is happening, they stated they had every thing. So I went and looked round the cellar and a few of these had spray painted among my coolers (image attached) with paint I’d on the shelve green and red. How good of them. All over the cement floor also. I phoned Greg the following day and we moved back an forth, along with the boys said they could not take the past 2 pieces since they did not have space and they did not need to charge me another $100 that I did not care about, simply getting things from the older Condo is exactly what was significant. I told Greg about the painted cooler and that he explained his men would not do something like this, yeh right. I guess I did it. .  Greg said he’d call me in a couple of days when he had a burden in my area to find the other bits and never did. I even called him another time. This was 1 1/2 weeks past. I eventually hired a few young men to move the two things for $50 bucks. Let us testimonials: They said they had been coming with a huge truck, they didn’t. They stated they had been piano movers, so they weren’t. They stated they had been professional movers, so they weren’t. They did not complete the task, at the transfer or later. . I am not trashing these two young guys except for the dumb lapse of judgment together with the paint, since they were good children working extremely difficult for very little cash. They too, as I said did a fantastic job and did not break anything. It was a difficult day for them.  I had a 7 hour interval to proceed before work. They were presumed to be there at 9:30 am and got there at 10:30 am and began in 11 am. They stated there was traffic, REALLY. I am an expert musician and vocalist. When there’s a wedding reception at 1pm and I begin 1 1/2 hours late, ya believe I could inform the bride there was traffic. Get your [EDIT] from bed before and be there once you mentioned.   I had been confident it would get done. I knew 2 men was not sufficient, but he stated it had been. The truck was far smaller than it must have been.  Next time, regardless of what the price tag, I’ll employ a title professional mover, it is a much better thing to do.

I utilized Advantage Moving and Storage located in Bristol, CT at June 2017. They ruined a $550 floor lamp, soiled my 3500 sofa. The employees were constantly smoking cigarettes and the whole movement was a nightmare. I clarified the damages the proprietor Greg. He sent me a check for $135. I made him numerous voice mails and he never returned my calls. The transfer cost me over twice of what he offered me. The movement was a nightmare.
