    Long-distance move from Easton, PA
    Horrible experience

I had been totally scammed by this firm. I had been provided a quote on the telephone. Two asks to visit my place to determine my things had been refused, stating it was not vital. I needed to add things to my stuff as time got nearer but was still told that the cost would not change.
The afternoon of the transfer the employee instantly explained I had far more things than was among the. He essentially was angry because he only had 1 assistant and that he was going to get to get the job done. Throughout the movement he kept asking if I could leave things behind. I did need to leave a couch and sofa behind since he explained it’d advertisement $1900 for my price!
After the truck has been loaded he created a price that has been 4 times the initial quotation!!! Seeing how angry I was he said he would work out something. We needed to drive into another place to find a couple more items, a few of that I also had to leave behind. Then he told me he would accept $2000 off the estimate, but I would need to cover 70 percent of this price today and the remainder upon shipping, PLUS that I would need to write another test of nearly $500 to get gratuity to most of the movers on the two ends of the excursion!!
I predicted this business several times on this day and following days, but nobody actually called me back.
I’m in the process of submitting complaints against the organization but am really concerned about what state my possessions are going to be depending upon delivery and also when the delivery will take place.

Follow up: Even my possessions are ruined – carvings, lamps, curtain rods, terrarium globes, salad spinnerand litter box – and that is exactly what I found up to now. Destroyed beyond repair. Smashed boxes, Christmas ornaments in a box which looks like someone chucked them out and hauled them straight in. The most careless handling of possessions that may potentially be. It’s been a nightmare working for this business.

Long-distance move from Staten Island, NY
    Binding estimates are a joke

These men would be the”industry standard”, they’re the movers that you hear about, why people hate going. The true price of this transfer was more than twice the quotation regardless of how the quantity of substance in the initial quote never shifted. All combined moving companies utilize exactly the exact same estimate app and all of them undershoot fact of this”required” distance by roughly half. Should you take nothing else out of that, recall my words into DOUBLE the original quote you receive from ANY business to understand how much money you will need for your relocation. I needed a dozen or so quotations plus all of them quoted me the identical cubic footage take or give. These men pack inefficiently, likely everybody else does also. They phoned me 10 minutes prior to displaying despite telling me that they might call an hour before hand. I wasn’t staying in my flat that night so that it took some time to get there, they attempted to charge me late penalties in the beginning but ended up charging a $45 waiting charge that I discovered fair however they were attempting to charge me like $350 that I’d have only cancelled and sacrifice my deposit of $209 to ensure that was a great call on his part. The men who picked up my materials were so creepy but quickly, they wrapped the furniture and required all the bits apart (essentially every bit had slight damage on birth, small things ( pressure marks and scrapes ). They wrapped glass shirts into some desk for me when I had my back turned so I asked the man if they placed something to pad on the glass between both panels (spoiler, I discovered they did not when my things made to Georgia, they did not violate but the scrapes on glass top tables add them up and they had been worst for wear) once I turned about and he responded”Do you feel that is the very first move we’ve done?” So I made it at this. I had a few small things (storage and bolt container) busted but otherwise things showed back up undamaged although all of the heavy duty boxes seemed like they had been included in some sort of water polo match (seemed just like they got moist and conquer up in a manner that does not actually earn a whole lot of feel ). There has been quite a little small harm in the furniture like I mentioned but simply not enough things to bother about placing a claim in together. I predicted to voice my aggravation at the first estimate being basically useless, they dodged that phone for a few days. Taylor (the sales guy that I initially spoken to) plays fine on the telephone, asks one about who you are and everything you are doing, decided to market me together with facts and statistics because I am a med student and gave me a speech about how big is the business and door to door themselves (they obviously contracted out shipping, however I could not let you know about some more of the company side of these screwing me over to earn a gain ) and also their DOT Number of trucks and miles blah blah that is of no significance to you the client except to allow you to know they’re big enough that they cover their fees and taxes, which will be good and all but insignificant for my underside line or if my material shows up undamaged. . .or their quote is valid. Their customer support girl Kia made it look like she had been hoping to assist, which had been clearly of no use in the long run. So this is the story of the way I paid $3298 3298 to proceed a studio flat after being offered $1400. The moral of that is”Purchase a vehicle with a tow hitch, also transfer yourself”, which I took to center. Thank you Advanced Relocation for teaching me a valuable life lesson concerning self-reliance!

    Long-distance move from Frederick, MD
    Horrible, unprofessional, even hostile movers!

My movement was scheduled for pickup between 8am and 12pm. Eventually got somebody on the telephone at 12:15pm. They never showed up and never called to say there was a problem. Initially they whined and stated a truck broke down, then later admitted that their”foreman” overslept. I waited around till 7:30pm. Then the foreman takes a fast look around my home and says,”Yeah, I believe that is 900 cubic feet. You know you need to pay money, right? You’ve got $2500?” My quote was for 535 ft, and I advised him to load the truck up and we would see. This man was completely trying to con me. They load the truck along with my belongings arrived into the number 12 on the wall and he attempted to tell me I’d taken up 1200 ft. I got in the vehicle and looked at the numbers and they are composed every six inches, so it was the 6 foot mark. He argued with me, was hostile, and wouldn’t acknowledge he had been wrong. I advised him to call his manager and get somebody on the telephone, however it was after 10pm and could not. He continued to argue with me concerning the cubic footage before eventually agreeing to perform it to the first quote, so that they still overcharged me, to not mention that he attempted to overestimate my distance and tear me off. Additionally, I paid $250 to allow them to maneuver my bike and I was confident that they understood exactly what they were doing, so that it would be”crated” and secure. I needed to find the bike off and on the truck myself. The”foreman” confessed he had never transferred a bike in his lifetime. I needed to inform them the way to secure it and also assist them. Fortunately it was not damaged. They all did was pay it in blankets and tie into the walls of their truck. For $250 and that I did all the work myself? Very unprofessional firm. Customer support is practically nonexistent. The foreman would not admit that his first quote when he walked around my home was over twice what the genuine cubic footage from the truck was. If I had been dumb or a 60 year-old girl that didn’t understand any better that this man could have ripped me off.

    Long-distance move from Lockport, NY
Interstate move (NY to SC) with belongings being damaged

Never think about this business if you would like to prevent disgusting damage to your possessions and unanticipated cost overruns!!! Worst movement experience of my entire life. Two teens working for pizza might have done a far better job also caused much less harm! I was originally convinced to employ them with their moving expert who left it all sound simple, and that spent a great deal of time on your telephone with me answering my own inquiries and preparing my own quotation. Their pricing has been the most fair of movers that I checked, and it looked like this firm might be trusted to produce this interstate transfer effortless. Unfortunately things went wrong from the beginning. Pickup was performed by a group of 3 guys who had been quite polite but instantly advised me my projected cubic feet (performed by their own moving expert well versed in dimension along with box totals) had been”under estimated” by over 1,000 cu. Ft. These movers needed to boost my quoted cost by more than 2000 at pickup. I stopped having to immediately determine what furniture and boxes I wished to take along with leaving half of my things behind as I didn’t have extra funds to cover them. (I now have to determine how to maneuver the remainder of my things at a future date and at an extra price.) You don’t need to use this business if you’re on a budget! My pickup driver and crew showed up in the very end of the window and so were at a significant rush to come back to home base in New Jersey. They essentially hurried my things to the van without a lot of caution. Heavy things waiting to be rich were piled in addition to items clearly indicated brittle since they loaded!! I couldn’t be within the home and tracking the truck in precisely the identical time, therefore can just do a fast test of the things being loaded. I wasn’t told there could be an additional fee for tape used to secure the wrap on off-the-shelf things. They made an excellent series of launching a brand new bundle of tape so that I would count rolls which were utilized. I had been billed for $108 value of tape, just to find 2 1/2 utilized and two complete unused rolls left behind in a rear room. The group was polite but didn’t wrap all of metallic items which can be scraped or bent (4 dining room chairs, rod lamp and coat stand, all of which did get ruined ). Upon arrival at their home base, the products must be off-loaded in a warehouse someplace and then reloaded on a frequent carrier. I had been told they’d all be moved into a different truck, carefully fastened and carefully managed throughout that move. Nevertheless somewhere between my pickup place and delivery a number of my things were ruined. I know for true that the next carrier didn’t fasten items in their own truck. Boxes which have been pristine at loading came with real holes punched on the sides. In reality, on delivery, things really fell from the truck on the assistant if he unlocked the garage door to begin unloading. This previous carrier was brusque and also in a enormous hurry. He didn’t want me to examine my numbered stock list as things were unloaded. Got insulted when I requested to do this stating it was all there and that he didn’t have the time to do it my own way. After they got to my couch, he attempted double and insisted it had been not possible to maneuver it in the home. His answer was likely to be to depart from his regular sized couch sitting at the front lawn when he could not readily get it via the front doorway. Allow me to”employ a handyman for about $40 to reduce it in half” and transfer it in that manner and then scatter it. Following a real debate about it with my landlord, then the couch was completed in however received damage because of the carelessness resulting from the annoyance of this motorist. I was hurried to registering my delivery files as he needed to desired to get down to the street and wouldn’t wait for me to perform even a fast inspection. He didn’t note the things I did view and also maintained the newspapers so I couldn’t do this.
I wouldn’t ever recommend this firm to anyone and undoubtedly will counsel against employing them in case you like your possessions.
This”little family owned” company maintained lots of excellent sounding advantages as well as the assistance of a lovely, caring proceeding group, but just delivered raised costs, damaged products and careless drivers together with perspectives. Not something anybody should have to cover!

    Long-distance move from New York
    Terrible Experience!

This is a classic example of Bait and Switch! I contracted for a transfer of furniture involving NY country and then to PA for what I had been told is about $1,500.00. I had been quite specific on the telephone with their sales man Phil about what furniture, the number of bits, approximate dimensions,
etc.. We gave them a credit card on the telephone deposit and have been advised that about the date of pickup, to get a check ready for the motorist in the sum of $875.00 together with the final balance of $275.00 on account of shipping (also a check). After the driver got into our home, he stated no tests! Must be money and it was likely to be $2,650.00!!! We got to the telephone with his Boss, the operator. He said we can sue. This was when we said forget it and that we would cancel that they put somebody else online who exercised a deal. The amount has been reduced to $2.065.00 and can be paid on shipping. We agreed to pay money then. After all this started, the group leader on the truck got mindset because we were not just going together. In the destination, my daughter needed the money and the delivery man was very insulted that she wouldn’t deliver the money with out viewing the furniture and it had been unloaded. The series up in a simple white truck with no markings and need her to hand them this money! Everything we’d organized, wasn’t what it was to be. The furniture has been safely delivered but that needs this type of stress? Do not use them!
