The movers were 1.5 hours late and the 3rd mover did not appear until two hours later! In the close of the move, they explained they needed to charge me over the quote because I had been paying by credit card rather than cash. That is going contrary to their charge card/merchant arrangement. They aren’t supposed to charge more for utilizing money. The movers wouldn’t honor the quote and didn’t depart until I paid the large quantity. I wouldn’t ever use this company again!!! BEWARE!!

Fabulous moving encounter.   Super respectful – friendly, but exceptionally difficult working.   Job was completed in significantly less time than anticipated and cost was substantially lower than mentioned.   Nothing broken. What more could you request? I’d certainly use them again.

Moved from top west side to Lexington Ave this past week. I’ve used several firms in NY earlier, however first time that I watched 3 movers came in to my flat with packaging stuff and nessesary tools. I’ve a whole lot of dishes,  glass dining table, large bad (require a great deal of gear ). Soon: they packaged and moved things carefully and without any harm. Quite satisfied with there solutions, thank you guys! I’ll use A-Z moving this past year again.

Don’t Use AZ MOVING. My move afternoon was among the worst experiences of my entire life.   I called 2 weeks prior to my move and has been quoted $180 for the first two weeks then $79 for each additional hour, that this was about the determined which I paid money. I was immediately called back and advised that it could be an extra $20 gas charge since my transfer to place was so far outside the city. In that time I had no issue with this. My movement has been scheduled involving 12-2pm. In the reservation time I voiced my concern about visitors since I was planning to move from the City to the suburbs that on a standard traffic afternoon takes over an hour, but during rush hour could take two hours or even longer. The guy I talked with on the telephone (Dastan Miller) promised me that it would not be a problem. He emailed me a quotation and also let me know that somebody will contact me the day before to confirm my relocation.   The afternoon before I phoned them after 5pm when I hadn’t heard from them daily. I left a message. Dastan did finally call me to confirm. Soon after I got another call from another person in the company to set up my transfer. Apparently they did not even bother to listen to my opinion since they believed I was a brand new customer.   The afternoon of my movement. I had everything ready to go by my 12pm time and didn’t hear by the driver before after 2pm. Now he explained that they had been running late due to traffic. I asked him if he thought he’d arrive, he explained 20 minutes. An hour after they came. When they pulled into the alley behind my apartment that they struck the balcony of their flat next door. They were concerned about the harm done to their truck. I was actually beginning to get anxious about visitors exiting town. The driver came up to perform the quote and another man started moving boxes.    While the driver was writing the contract up I got a call in Dastan. He explained that he gave me the incorrect base cost. Since I had been going so far off (aprox 40 kilometers ) the base cost would be $280 (that can be $100 greater than he initially lent me). Our entire conversation was absurd and he explained that he had a different customer just 15 minutes away. I advised him that a lot of my stuff had been already loaded on the truck. He explained it was no issue for them to transfer back the stuff into my flat. Now I was livid. I had to be from my flat and did not believe I’d have the ability to find last minute movers within the weekend. I voiced my dissatisfaction over the fact that the movers had been also an hour late which would induce us to be stuck in rush hour traffic. He explained it’d be fine because of his men to leave.    If I believed I had some other option I’d have let them depart. I feel as though I was completely taken advantage of. I had a quote from them for that which I believed was a reasonable price. I’d have never consented to the cost he increased it to in the first location. Only dishonest, dishonest business people work like this.    I’m also going to make sure I report them to the IRS because I paid in money. If I ever see any of the business cards I will Make Certain to catch them all and burn them.   The guys who proceeded were fine and didn’t make every attempt to secure my possessions. But I’d concur with other reviews who said that they’re slow. When I moved to this flat it took 4 hours from point A to point B (which includes travel time). This movement took nearly 6 hours, they took nearly two hours simply to fill my two-bedroom flat. And I am still angry that we spent two hours in traffic because they were so late.   If you like your sanity don’t utilize AZ Moving.

I must proceed and this attracted my memories of last year’s movement with AZ moving (along with also the lessons learned). Transfer date: August 17, 2011.

First lesson: do not opt for the hourly charges movers (unless you’ve got a very modest move). You’ll get screwed.

I had a 1200 sq ft loft apartment that had to be transferred. I had a fixed quotation for 900 from a different company but chose to choose AZ moving that stated they can do it for $800 but having a hourly fee. We discussed they’d bring a massive truck.
The moving day comes and they appear with a little truck. It’s too little to fit my items, I will observe this in progress. However, I want to proceed, cancelled my rental so back from the wall. Decided to proceed and sign the papers. They begin packaging and after a couple of hours that the truck is complete and flat still has things in it.
We proceed into the new address and then unpack. They then vanish for lunch for 1.5 hrs (don’t pick up my calls, clock is still operating ).
Start in my next trip. Takes more time to pack differently, men are taking it easy.
Proceed to new flat. In the conclusion of the excursion, my classic cabinet is damaged (they fell it of this dolly while I had been watching. Comment:”oh you can paste that.” Additionally, a photo frame deciphered (glass) and also a scrape in my 1 yr old leather sofa (remark: that has been there already).
Then the last bill. A whopping $1600.

Second lesson: The trick
But we aren’t done. Now comes the grand finale. The foreman starts hassling me to get a hint of $100 each individual (4 men ). I advised him he awakened my bill, but his answer was”that’s the firm, not us. We worked hard for you”.  He got really upset and began crying. In the long run I still gave them 200 (that I planned anyhow ) but in retrospect I should have returned his horrible behaviour by not committing anything in any way.
I now understand by some additional research the tip must be 15-20 percent. However, if something damages or breaks, reduce the trick.

I decided on this one to bite the bullet and proceed. But while now on the lookout for a brand new moving firm and reading the testimonials, I arrived at the conclusion that I must write a review to warn others.

Avoid this organization. You will find much better out there and it will not give you a horrible taste.

A-Z Movers are scam artists. Like the other reviewer, my transfer didn’t begin on the ideal foot.  Despite several confirmations, my movers didn’t arrive until later 2pm despite the 8am start time.  I had been quoted for about a two hour proceed since I was just moving to another side of this area and my flat was well-organized, completely packed and didn’t need heavy lifting. Our time ran over but I was more worried about reliability and care compared to haste.  Obviously , I was chagrined to visit that my bike carelessly thrown in my sofa which also endured a nick from the framework from the bike pedal.  Given that everything else appeared normal, I had been prepared to overlook that. When we wrapped up company, I was largely fulfilled until I made my charge card to cover the rest per our arrangement. Following a conversation with the workplace, I had been told my possessions wouldn’t be taken out of the truck before I tendered money. I informed that the movers of the arrangement, they said that they had been acting on requests and could leave unless I think of all the cash.  Additional they specifically taught me to depart on foot and also see an ATM system since they blocked my car in the storage area with all the moving van.  From the moment, the movers pulled from this whole lot with extorted money in hand, it was 7pm.  Both hour movement required a total of five such as the shakedown. I called afterwards to talk about these company practices and that I had been told”tough luck.” Upon pruning after that eveing, particular items I had packed were forfeited. While I did not see with my own eyes that the elimination of those things, I believe that it’s a fair accusation that the movers stole them. A-Z Movers functions independently, unreliably, unprofessionally and very possibly criminally.  Trust your valuables along with your house with trusted movers and prevent A-Z at any cost.

Employed these men for a move now from Manhattan into Brooklyn Heights. Booking together was super simple, they gave me a quotation quickly, responded to my emails fast, were flexible and patient when I had difficulty getting them all of the information that they had to provide me a precise quote. Movers showed up on time, worked quickly, were very agreeable, also flexible and patient with my spouse and I (I know that we could be hard ). They took great care of our things, everything showed up in our new location just as it left our previous location. Highly recommend them.

Avoid A-Z MOVING!
In our first consultation, the”supervisor” Kevin told me that A-Z was guaranteed and that our move could be a”flat rate” without the hidden fees. After the movers showed up we’re subsequently told that there could be another $150 fee to guarantee our products from breakage. We clearly chosen from the, as it wasn’t exactly what we’d consented. The movers jumped to violate the framework of the 800 mattress. I was subsequently told to submit a claim using an A-Z office. For the following two months Kevin ducked my half-dozen calls (function and mobile ) and 2 visits to the A-Z office. Our transfer was a two part agreement, and just when I refused to cover the balance due by the conclusion of the next movement was the inspector capable to capture Kevin on the telephone. Kevin agreed to charge us 60 cents a pound to its broken mattress (after originally offering 30 cents per pound) and stated that had we compensated for the further insurance there could have been a $1,000 allowance anyway, nevertheless leaving us at exactly the identical position. So. . .we obtained $120 charge (200 pound bed framework ) for our 800 mattress.
Obviously, we’d NEVER employ A-Z again. Lesson learned and that I only hope that this inspection may warn others to steer clear of these hucksters.
