Our realtor recommended Town and Country to us, and I’d heard really great things from many friends in San Marino Guild who highly recommended Ed Mace. We’d quotes from other respectable firms – Ed’s was aggressive, honest and he told us exactly what he can do for us rather than awful mouthing competitors.
First off, our movement was complex. Two pickup locations and lots of dropoffs. Our final date shifted and Ed saved our items on the truck within his warehouse, rather than charging us to unload and reload the vehicle. We also downsized, split furniture involving our new condominium, holiday home and kids. We removed a storage device we’d leased for my parents estate-which, incidentally, had’roasted’ some fragile collectables, was less secure and much more costly than that which we currently pay Ed to shop in an organized, modern, climate controlled facility! Appreciate that we’ve got a copy of the stock sheets so we understand what is there.
Ed did what he said he would and much more. His guys were specialist, experienced, patient and very pleasant to use. We kept on adding items, so the range of work kept shifting. Although we’d additional packing because we did not reach our clearing outside jobs, my husband was really happy that he worked with us about the purchase price and we believed that he had been more than fair.
When my realtor inquired about our expertise, she confided that everybody in her office urges Ed Mace in Town and Country, even to their most troublesome clients who’ve been impossible to please. He’s consistently good, honest, exceptionally priced and through time, always gets the best outcomes. Moving is complex and I believe selecting a firm with an outstanding reputation is essential.
Very highly recommend!
Ed arrived at our home at Glendora & guaranteed that the very best service, ” he told us how awful all other businesses were. My husband gave him a chance. Well until this day I am quite sad that we picked this provider. His employees showed up, loaded the trucks since we were moving two hours off, our possessions were placed in their own storage facility in Fontana,
We didn’t know this in advance, we had been advised all 1 day.
I had a single picture and snare Disneyland 50th Anniversary framed artwork, I was planning to place in my, automobile but one man said, allow me to wrap that & place in a secure location. I said good, thank you!
The following day we were in our new house place, 1 truck revealed we had been told that the other could come the following day. My art didn’t reveal.
The driver asked us to cover the invoice. I questioned why we had been over charged $500, the motorist stated for insurance, I had been so angry!
I told the man I’m an insurance broker & I’ve insurance, and Ed had been conscious, he explained the boss never obtained a replica of mine so he billed us. My husband stated that He’d call Ed & Speak to him about it
DON’T EVER COUNT ON HIM CALLING BACK, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE RACE TRACK IS OPEN! To make it short we needed to phone for more than 1 month for the remainder of our storage, so nobody responded, we couldn’t get our personal results & furniture, no calls returned. My husband ended up moving back on his telephone got a few that was among those men who’d packed our home, he said there’s a Great Deal of problems with Ed and also the firm, but he’d bring out our stuff to me, my husband said in case you can not tell me where the substance is & that I shall rent a
U haul, however, the young man asserted that the stuff would emerge.
It ends up he showed up that week &my framed art never did, I as so mad with all the thieves he hires, then the excess alterations, and we never have obtained a refund for additional fees he put on our invoice. DO NOT HIRE UNLESS You’ve Got A SHIPPING LOG. They don’t log anything &if any product stolen, your screwed. Never got my Art Back,
ED IS A DISGRACE TO THE Business, LIAR &CONMAN, HE SHOULD HAVE HAD HIS LICENSE REVOKED A LONG TIME AGO, HE HIRES PEOPLE WHO ARE THIEVES AND WITH OUT SHIPPING MANIFEST TO VERIFY YOUR STUFF & WHEN THEY COME IN TO TAKE YOUR STUFF THEY WORK FAST &YOU Cannot KEEP YOUR EYES ON SO MANY MEN. I HOPE SOMEDAY THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY THROWS Him in JAIL, WITH ALL THE ALL THE MEN HE HIRES
This provider can also be called Mace Moves (macemoves.com). Ed, the main, transferred my loved ones. Although he wound up charging additional, contrary to the conditions of the arrangement, he contracted me to do advertising work for him (which was my trade in the time), so that I forgave his mistake. I ordinarily don’t pencil reviews, let alone scathing ones, however that has to be an exclusion. This organization and its chief, Ed Mace, should be avoided in any way costs. Not only are they squint within their commerce, but they’re downright suspicious when it comes to scamming customers on cost and value. Without getting into great detail, I had been privy to garner sufficient insider advice to be certain in my evaluation of them and the way they essentially rip folks off. . Fail to honor contractual arrangements, don’t pay invoices, lie about solutions, etc.. There wasn’t extensive damage for my possessions, but there was hurt. But, his estimating/quoting/contracting are a scam. He also over-charged us by 30%. Ed Mace has been operating for several decades only because he’s proficient in glad-handing people while working as a guy as well as a businessman who evades duties and appropriate business practices ad infinitum. If you’d like dependable, trustworthy, competent movers that meet obligations with your loved ones, your most cherished possessions along with your cash, avoid this company like the plague.
We place our household goods in storage with this business for three decades. We paid our fees on time each month. As it came time to to move our products , we spent a day in the storage facility, paying additional for the time and labour, and sorting products to be transferred, to carry with us, and to visit charity. Around $7,500 worth of merchandise were put aside for shipping to charity, for that we had been promised that the company would manage then supply us with all the taxation records for our usage.
Following six months and many, many telephone calls, the proprietor Ed along with the salesman Mitch just refused to provide us the files. They maintained our products rather than reacted with all the documentation. Theft? You’re the judge.
Additionally, they broke things, for which the proprietor Ed stood right beside me and said,”We will replace this.” He then never did. Never responded.
They broke several significant pottery items in transit, then told me ,”Too bad. Insurance does not cover pottery.” And we needed to eat that price also.
No communication. No follow up. No return telephone calls. No ethics. No professionalism. No honesty.
Take advantage of these men at your personal risk. You’ve been warned.
