TMM was contracted to us to our transfer out of South Florida to California. Throughout the whole procedure TMM was utterly unprofessional, unresponsive, not followed up or supplied upgrades and when the driver chose to send a day before that supported, TMM chose the drivers side and refused to reimburse us to the addl costs incurred because of their neglect and miscommunication. Do not expect a call back or an email reply and do not expect not to sit on hold for less than 10 minutes before talking to the unworthy receptionist. Do yourself a favor and only get a uhaul. It’ll be simpler
This was by far the worst transfer I’ve ever had in my army career. The movers and asserts section may care less about your HHGs and your lifetime. My dryer, washer, sofas, fireplace television rack, dining room dining room, king bed, bunk beds, along with several different items came damaged. My HHG were sitting in storage for more than a year because of a brief tour. I just moved from NorCal into Vegas and that which was piled sky high on top of one another from the moving truck that definitely was not at the very same containers which they were originally packaged in back in 2017. My HHG were sent at Feb 2019 and I’m STILL fighting them about my own damages. They keep telling me that my washer harm is my own fault but I only purchased it two years before my transfer and it worked PERFECT until I left. They delivered a 3rd party outside to’scrutinize my damages’ although I sent videos and pictures in. They were fine but the man doing the drier didn’t even inspect it, took maybe not even 5 mins, also had been completed asserting it had been my fault. They did not even check the dryer as it wasn’t on their listing and the firm refused to send another man out to look at my washer. They wanted to ship the exact same man out. They continue to go on clearance and purchase sites for’similar items’ that are COMPLETELY not similar and not even the exact same cost or even on the websites anymore as soon as they send it back in DPS for inspection. It’s been 7 weeks I have been going back and forth REFUSING to repay with their low ball rates. I only want my home in order and to receive my furniture and broken out stuff. That is totally ridiculous when I didn’t have my HHGs, my entire life for more than a year. I feel as I can’t even settle in correctly still as my most important furnitures are all broken. REFUSE THIS COMPANY!! I’d NEVER do business with them ever again. I HOPE THE MILITARY TAKES THEM OFF OUR LIST.
TMM is managing all communication between us and our moving business. The Army scheduled it all for us. Our moving business (Coleman-Allied) called me 2 days before out our pack and inquired everything I had at the home. We originally were planning to do a DITY move but chosen not to. 90 percent of the home was packed. When both guys arriver, they refused to take apart a trampoline and swingset. Mind you, even when talking to them two days before they stated they’d take it all and down. They had been in my house less than 8hrs and just packed 3 boxes. They even left me 3 boxes and stated”you will have to package your tvs”. I didnt, and just took them off the wall bracket. Fast forward a MONTH later. On account of the hassle of our substance not coming and being sent in a timely fashion we could submit an Inconvenience Claim. Needing to eat out, we purchased a mini refrigerator (they had our appliances also ) and towels etc. ). They just gave us 170 of the back. The mini fridge was 188 plus they only gave me $99 asserting I could of becoming more economical one. Well, a family of five needs a freezer which could resolve a couple of things and they expected us to receive one which could just match a tv dinner. TMM is also tackling our claims for damages. Movers broke our drier, lawnmower, dented our refrigerator, struck our 55in, a massive wall hanging, dresser, etc. two weeks afterwards and were STILL waiting to hear about the settlement deal. More than 3k in damages and that I will be surprised if they simply provide us $200. STEER CLEAR
4th PCS move considering joining the army and this by far has been the worst experience and my stuff is not even on the truck however. Packers were shipped out 5 hours prior to the moving truck then jumped to deny to escape the truck before I secured my two dogs in a space (that I have not ever had to do before) and since the job was larger than they had been advised. Not certain where they can not impression just a few rooms were being packaged rather than the entire home. Probably because nobody came to the home for a pre-move walk through, only a telephone call asking me exactly what furniture I’d. I had been left to twiddle my thumbs at the home waiting in total oblivion while they made telephone calls deciding on whether or not they would even do the job they were hired to perform. When I eventually heard from TMM two hours following the the ordeal started I was angry but obtained nothing but a [EDIT]. I’m not in the least amazed to come across a 1 star rating on this website. It blows my mind the sub conscious companies the army contracts to our service members.
Absolutely don’t utilize TMM. If you’re in the army and are delegated them if PCSing, deny and request a separate carrier. I’ll be having a 20 day delay (at best) in getting my HHG plus they have horrible customer services. I’d give zero stars if I could.
My household goods (HHG) dispatch was packed on 02 JUL 18 having a required delivery date (RDD) of all 12 JUL 18. The movement has been Fort Hood, TX into Carlisle, PA (1500 miles). I had been available to obtain HHG on 07 JUL 18. I predicted, received no response, left an email and got a callback on 10 JUL 18 because of its status of my shipping. I had been advised that my HHG didn’t leave on 02 JUL 18, however, could leave on 09 JUL 18 and arrive at shipping on 16 JUL 18 (4 days late). I obtained no upgrade until I phoned on 16 JUL 18 without the response, left a message and obtained a callback. The apathetic response I received was that my HHG came in Carlisle and wouldn’t be sent before 01 AUG 18. I could take this date for delivery or my HHG could be set in storage. The contracted delivery period of my HHG is going to be 20 days late, in the slightest. My HHG shipment is 6400 pounds. Terrible customer support. Other army members in my field have experienced exactly the exact same matter.
