This firm was recently known as, Long Haul Movers. Eli Shalem is your operator. I dropped $28,000.00 value of possessions because of damage and theft. I won a decision from Eli Shalem at the sum of $10,000.00 and court charges in a court in California (in which they’re integrated as a company and is the maximum amount you may acquire ). . .and many decades later still haven’t obtained any cash. Eli showed up in court and threatened me this afternoon. Said I couldn’t prove that they stole or broke whatever. Thus far, they’ve just reinvented themselves as the business. Take heed. DO NOT HIRE THEM.
Everything but the first sales pitch has been a wreck or a clear lie.
They explained they would pick up my items on Friday, but that that date could change because the pickup date got closer, which I know. At the start of the week that they stated pick up could be around Saturday. That sounded reasonable to me personally. Subsequently Friday afternoon, a motorist called and said that he had been on his way to pick up my items. I presumed it was a very simple miscommunication and it was not too tricky to escape work and receive my items picked up. No harm, no foul, I believed. It turns out that those last minute alterations and”miscommunications” are indicative of how this company operates.
Attempting to receive my items delivered has been a nightmare. Three months after pickup, I phoned and requested at shipping once I could anticipate my items and had been met with a number of the worst customer support I have ever experienced. In the beginning, I only thought the girls answering the telephone has to be active or stressed out and that is the reason they had this kind of sullen and combative mindset. They made it look like asking”when do I expect my things?” Was an adventurous question which didn’t deserve a response.
I called on Monday and asked if I could expect my things and had been told”this weekend” which”somebody could provide me a call 2 weeks prior to shipping.”
But on Wednesday I missed a phone, but no message has been abandoned.
Thursday I called to follow up and was told that shipping will be Friday between 1:00-5:00PM. I voiced that this could be hard for me to organize 1 day ahead of time, provided my work schedule. Ashley, that seemingly is in certain direction position, advised me that”nobody ever has these issues” and that an alternate shipping period could cost”tens of thousands of dollars.” Once I requested a few times what alternate answers you will find since getting from work wasn’t possible, Ashely advised me that she did not really understand just how much it would cost and she would need to start looking to it.
In the long run, I asked my landlord if he can allow the movers in and also looked to TaskRabbit to get somebody await shipping. Ashley insisted I did not have to employ somebody for the entire shipping window but was either incapable or unwilling to pronounce what portion of the shipping window could be adequate. Ashley said I will call back Friday afternoon and find a better feeling of when my items would be sent.
As soon as I phoned on Friday afternoon (the day of my alleged delivery), another girl picked up the telephone and explained she could not really confirm that my items were on the road. I said that a motorist hadn’t ever phoned me personally and in response she stated it was probably delivery would not occur Friday. This girl recommended that I call back at 10:00AM to achieve Ashley. I phoned back at 10:00AM as educated and was advised that they’d”already told me what there’s to understand” and that Ashley would really come in at 11:00AM.
I really don’t understand why I had been in such a rush to get in contact with Ashley. She’s was exceptionally rude, unhelpful, and competitive. When I ran a business, I wouldn’t use her, let alone encourage her into a control position. If you like being condescended to and hate getting your problems resolved, or even noticed, she is your model worker.
Fortunately, Ashely’s late launch time was not that relevant since before 11:00AM the motorist phoned me and gave me an estimated arrival time of 3:00PM. He explained he had been performing a rescue in Maryland at 1:00PM and could lead to DC immediately later. I asked my neighbor to be more accessible to allow the movers in.
At 1:00PM the driver advised me that he’d be there at 5:00PM since his delivery in Maryland had been at 3:00PM. I asked my neighbor when 5:00PM would do the job.
At 4:00PM the motorist said he’d only arrived at Maryland will get to DC earlier 8:00PM.
At 6:00PM the motorist said that he wasn’t likely to come now and he’d come the next day between 9:00-10:00AM.
The following morning at 9:00AM the motorist says he will be there between 10:00-10:30AM. In 10:30AM he states he will be here at 11:00. He simply had to do some little job first.
I booked an appointment for 11:00AM on Saturday because I erroneously thought that when somebody lets you know they will send something involving 1:00-5:00PM on Friday, they do not really mean”sometime after 11:00AM on Saturday.” I want my job needed deadlines such as this.
I (finally ) got my things. At the 20 minutes that the movers were in my home, they put off a person’s car alarm, just one of those men asked me how far my flat price, should I live with a guy, and also that which make my notebook is. At the end he suddenly educated me to provide a hint to his spouse. I didn’t wish to provide a hint because I wasn’t delighted with the support I received. It was embarrassing.
Never ever go with high speed movers! They’ve had my possessions for 2 months and still haven’t delivered everything. For some mad reason, they just delivered a portion of my possessions following TWO WHOLE weeks. I’m honestly worried I’m never likely to receive all of my things back. The employees there appear to be quite laborious and rude. I get the feeling they’re amazingly sketchy. Various people in the business are still telling us that people owe various quantities. We have practically no notice ahead of the shipping. We had been lied to a lot of times. The list continues on and on. As firmly as possible I’d recommend you to not do business with such individuals.
Top Rate Transferring provided outstanding service on either side of this transfer. Even though the people were distinct on every end of the movement, they did an excellent job. During the true loading and unloading procedure, they checked and reconfirmed I was content with the job that they were performing.
Separately, I’d like to supply a special thanks for Ashlie (Dispatch) for working together to a scheduling my own shipping. Ashlie helped solve concerns I originally had and did a fantastic job following during and following up about what had to have done to guarantee a smooth delivery.
Nearly everything came broken, particularly the things THEY packed, big TV, mirrors, lamps and much more. Many boxes have been soaking wet and ruined, for example wedding photos! Nearly $1000 in compensation and insurance proved to be a whole joke frees me 64 complete, together with wasting my time of hours of preparing insurance types, sending guides, postage, copies and notarizing types prices over $20 plus they took seven weeks! They’re NOT BBB licensed no matter what their site reveals. Packers insisted they trick them, almost to the stage of a hazard. Obviously delivery was once late and they included more charges. I won’t ever use again OR advocate. I’d have fared much better to trash what they transferred and only bought new things.
When there was an option for zero stars, I’d give it. I was sadly swindled since this business was booked with a moving business I initially signed up with, Assurance Van Lines. They were assumed to move my items out of Chicago, IL to Washington, D.C.. These movers showed up two hours late, required that my father, who fulfilled them to open up the storage warehouse at which I had been keeping my possessions, cover them a 10 percent tip. They then included on additional fees stating that I was”over stock” and they did not have sufficient space in their truck. My father did not cover them because he did not have extra money and they refused to take a credit card payment to make up the gap. They ended up carrying my items to a storage facility in Carol Stream, IL with no knowledge or consent and demanded that I pay them almost $1200 to discharge my property. I’d really been telling them to carry my things off the truck but they denied and made it look like my items were in their way to DC, but actually , they basically held my possessions hostage. They kept my items for a week and that I had been on the phone together and with customer support representatives at Assurance for this long. I talked a few times with Ashlie Elizabeth Landry, who’s recorded as the business’s business manager in addition to Eli Shalem (a/k/a Ely Ruas), who’s listed as the organization’s owner. They, together with the Assurance repetitions, were exceptionally rude and belligerent with me and wouldn’t give me some straight answers. In the end, somebody who identified herself as”Lisa” phoned me and informed me they’d send a person to open the storage device per week after they first took my items. This occurred after I registered a complaint with both the Better Business Bureau and with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and’d gone into a Attorney.
I’m usually very good at identifying scams, however, the bait and change of believing I had been signing with one firm and then having to take care of a third party I didn’t have any clue about had me fooled.
Therefore, reminders: Always pay with a credit cardwithout cash, wire transfers, or cash orders. When you pay using a card, there’s a listing of this trade and you’re able to dispute the charges afterwards. Be certain that you manage a locally established business or whether you’re handling a state to say proceed, such as I did, be certain that you use nationally established chains such as Mayflower. If you’re fortunate enough to have your own automobile and can also be able-bodied and may lift and package your own furniture, leasing a U-Haul and driving yourself is another fantastic alternative. It is also possible to always send your items to a new address as soon as you have it and fly over.
But utilizing this corporation? That could be a terrible alternative. They’re unprofessional, lack fundamental courtesy, and participate in deceptive business practices. As a matter of fact, Eli Shalem was able to possess several other moving companies that closed down since he had been conducting this specific sort of scam on other men and women. He keeps shutting off and down under new names. My hope is that enough people would see what he’s doing and get him shut down once and for all. That is borderline criminal behaviour.
I hired Top Rate Transferring and they recently moved my items. They gave me an estimate for just over 850 SF. I’d moved my items in a 17ft truck getting there (that had been 800 CF) and I’d just been around a year and not purchased any new big things and eliminate stuff when we packaged. So I guessed that could be a reasonable estimate. Obviously if they showed up (9pm that was 8 hours late) they said we’d over the amount of boxes also stated it had been 1100 sf. We said had 20 extra boxes. I guessed it was because they’d labeled a box of stevia for a box etc.. So I guessed that it was really going to work itself out once they place it at the vehicle. Well of course that they still said we were finished on CF. A this stage that it was 1 am so I just said fine figuring I’d grab it on the opposite end. In addition they charged us $86 to buy 1 BOX. Then they took 3 months to provide our items in GA into PA!! When they eventually get it here I checked each of the boxes since they arrived in. Surprise surprise that I had been overlooking 20 boxes also it had been numbers 1-20 as a way to Its not possible to shed 20 boxes so and we do not have a thing missing. In addition, the driver who delivered it also stated that it had been just 800 CF. They obviously perpetrated fraud. Obviously emails and calls to the proprietor have gone awry. Do your self a favor and stay far away from Best Rae Moving
They dropped my 600 smart TV. They then whined about the projected time for shipping. I called them repeatedly and they didn’t give me some notion of if I would get my things. They billed me $50 additional to wrap the night stand with duct tape to security and it had been broken at shipping. There were several things missing in the night stand too. Following months of waiting, eventually the motorist phoned me only 1 hour prior to sending my things; once I told him that I had been in the office, he actually threatened to abandon my things on the road unattended or get me $500 for each excess hour which I wanted storage!
They Won’t reimburse for your missing items
I wouldn’t suggest this service to anybody.
I hired those movers a few weeks back and it has been nearly two weeks because they picked my stuff up. They whined and said that my things would be in my location by last Saturday just so that they can get my cash. Now I have heard nothing in them and there is no word about where my stuff is everywhere. Last I named the woman on the phone said she’s”no idea” where my stuff is everywhere. If those idiots do not return my things shortly all in tact then I could sue them.
Do not fall for this scam.
The real moving men seemed to understand everything they were doing. Nobody else did. I had been told I would get my things from July 2nd (4 times when they picked up it ) and it did not arrive for another fourteen days. They likely lied to find the company, since they were contracted via Assurance Van Lines. The Assurance people (who I understand might have become the ones lying around find the company, but they did drop the cost a whole lot, so I am guessing that it was really Top Rate Transferring lying to them) stated Top Rate Transferring had a suitable path scheduled by Lexington to Kansas City along with also their dispatcher really needed my company because my path was straight along the manner. Afterward, Top Rate Transferring, later picking up my belongings at Kentucky, turned about and sent my stuff East into Georgia, kept it at a warehouse and then sent it West to me personally in Missouri — absurd. In addition, they dropped my desk and ruined my underbed drawers. For months, they could not give me some notion of when I would get my things, before I got a phone the day prior to the motorist. All of this really did mess with real life travel programs also, and I still don’t have a kitchen table, over a month once they picked up my own things — they simply lost it. If they simply didn’t shed my desk, I would not have even written this inspection, even though the rest of the items here.
The only real thing is that the men who really picked up and dropped off my things were in their own game, very careful and had a combination of a seasoned man (fluent in English) and 2 quite hardworking newer men (not eloquent, but worked hard to convey with me despite that, which I greatly valued ). I guess that the offloading and reloading in their Georgia warehouse wasn’t done with these men, causing the harm and the lack of my desk. They really do pick up their telephone for customer support, but their hours are restricted simply to work-day throughout this week, therefore not so handy if you operate. In addition they set you on hold forever and a day once you telephone in. The largest problem is if they really do pick them up, they nevertheless do not have some way to address your issue and can not offer any info.
I seriously never write negative reviews such as this, yet this experience was satisfactorily bad for me to achieve that. If they completely reimburse me to the dining table or send it to mepersonally, I will post a better review or upgrade this one. Nevertheless, when you’ve got the option, do not utilize Leading Rate Moving and do not reserve through Assurance Van Lines either.
At obtaining quote quotation out of them, I recorded exact number of items and every item measurement. I opted to go together because the quotation is far superior than many others. When they arrived pick-up and wealthy in truck, price went up for $500 saying quantity increased for nearly 80 sq cu in quote without physical dimension; only eyeballing. Struggling to come, they delivered (by other sub-contractor) following fourteen days, two things missing, among these is TV in the box; wrapped the mirror and glass top with their blue blanket and tapped around put in box by steeling that the TV. When I spoke to them, giving explanations and averting the telephone; I believed I was just talking to wall for months no settlement.
This is actually the worst moving company I’ve ever worked with.
1) Do not think their quotes. I spent 45 minutes on the phone describing the family products and has been quoted storage and moving prices of just under $8000. Despite deciding to not transfer any of the furniture in one of the bedrooms, the movers gave me a last estimate of over $12,000!
2) The movers forgot to package numerous things – dishes, kitchen things, photos and other things which we needed to look after ourselves.
3) The mind of the moving team badgered us mercilessly for a $2000 suggestion because of his team, asking for post dated checks and has continued to frighten us on the telephone.
4) Today I am attempting to find the furniture delivered to prevent their exorbitant storage expenses, however they claim I must call them back at a week in an effort to cover a much greater storage fee.
This provider is a timeless bait-and-switch scam. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
This movement proved to be a TERRIBLE experience. We proceeded in FL to OH and all these movers would be the WORST!!! They had been 3.5 hours late. I needed to change my trip home since they had been so late and SLOW! When they eventually came that they accused me of getting boxes which weren’t about the contract and desired additional $. This took my husband to become involved to get this solved. Our boxes have been clearly recorded to the contract. Our items were likely to arrive 6 weeks afterwards. It’s been 14 days and I am still awaiting my items!!!!!! They’re supposed to be here now, but I have not heard from anybody in 3 times! I took off work now, hoping that they appear. I wish I can provide them 0 stars! The cherry on the top. If you call with questions NO ONE cares! This company remains in business would be a jolt to me. Beware!!!!!!
I only talked to this provider. My furniture has yet to leave Florida. Incredible!
My husband is a retired Army General and now we’ve transferred 31 days in 40 decades. We recently used Best speed Moving and Storage in Miami and had the absolute best experience ever. In the very first telephone call I knew we were in safe hands. We moved from Kentucky to New Jersey and everything came on time and flawlessly. The movers on the two ends were courteous and extremely professional in every manner. We’d highly recommend Top Speed Storage And Moving to everybody. When we mentioned good-bye to our own movers, I truly felt like those movers were our buddies…. They treated us like royalty!
I had various items packaged and moved out of Kentucky into the Nashville region after my mother’s passing. The quote I received was quite near the true price. The true cost just went up since I ended up carrying more things than I mentioned when I predicted. The packers were very compassionate and known that the sentimental value of their furniture and things to be hauled. I had been quite lucky that the exact same two gentlemen who packaged my furniture were also the people who delivered. It had been pouring down rain if they sent and nothing was saturated or damaged when it came. They were rather sensitive to the grief I was experiencing and looked after to be sure I did not need to worry more than anything. I might spell their names wrongly, however Yanig and Oleg were amazing! I would strongly recommend Top Speed Moving!!
Best speed movers contacted me once I had been looking for movers to assist me move from GA to VA.. I told these folks I had been going a 4 bedroom house and also went through each thing I needed. They gave me a quotation and delivered a truck TOO SMALL for my things, damaged multiple things and even lost things. They beneath bid, over cost, and utilize trucks too little even following an itemized record was created. As soon as they get to a house they have two speeds they offer. Little do they inform you that the speed they lock you in at over the telephone could be less if they lent you a greater sq feet to your own items. They quote you a minimal square footage in a higher cost per square foot and that’s what they charge you as soon as they get to your house and you sign the paperwork. Do not use this company they’re a rip off!!!
My spouse and I moved from Naples to Naperville and have been predicted by at least 20 unique companies all with another pitch. After reviewing and weeding out we had been between 3 firms using Leading Rate being among these. One was by fat therefore we chose to go with dimension because they guaranteed to bind the cost based on stock. In the end we determined Top Rate because we all felt comfortable with all the agent and we put our deposit down. On move day we had been worried as we’d been planning and packaging for a couple of weeks. The manager of this move proved to be a great man and he help to organize the movers and made the transfer go smoothly. We’d spent two and 1/2 weeks packaging but the men wrapped the furniture using blue blankets. In roughly 6 hours that they had been finished loading and packing the vehicle. We had a list however there were also alot of things we did not think to include and also the box complete nearly doubled but the manager managed to make the adjustments immediately. The movement began at $3700 and finished at $4500 later we left the improvements. We had been in storage together until we shut our home and got our shipping on a week later we left the petition to get our things sent to us. On shipping there were a few coffee mugs which didn’t make the trip but nothing significant. I’d use them again but I do not intend to move anytime soon.
SCAM ALERT!! DO NOT USE!! SCAM ALERT SCAM ALERT!!! They’ll quote you around $2,400 – $2,800 (They will say you’ve got approximately 600 cubic ft.) to transfer your whole home to some other nation. Subsequently the movers are going to appear on going day and inform you that real have far more things (approximately 2,000 cubic feet ). The business is going to make it seem like it is your fault for not even understanding just how much cubit ft you really have (just how many folks talk in cubic feet apart from movers???) . That is a scam that provides the customer/mark that an intial low estimate based on a reduced”cubic feet” quote given by the business. This is the scam: They will inform you on the telephone which you’ve got 600 cubic feet ( 600 x 4$ = $2,400 + tax). The lower your cubic ft, the longer they cost a cubic feet. But then the movers will appear and act surprised and state that you have 2,000 cubic feet (2,000 x 4 = $8,000), realizing that you won’t change you mind because the movers are currently there and you have been intending to proceed on such a day. SCAM ALERT!!! Additionally, all of your stuff most likely won’t fit on the vehicle. So they will schedule yet another”transfer” for you and now quotation you at about 300 cubic ft. x 4 = $1,200. But again, the movers will appear and state that you really have 700 cubic ft. (700 x 4 ) $2,800). They quote you an extremely low cost just so that they can undercut the actual moving companies, and then scam you after they appear along with CHARGE YOU TWICE THE AMOUNT that a dependable moving company will have fees! They offered us around $2,700, however ultimately charged up nearly $10,000. . .and STILL never transferred all of our things, lost a few of things they transferred, broke other costly things and scraped the walls up within our newly-built house. Afterward , they changed our shipping date on us to SUPERBOWL SUNDAY later we advised them 3 TIMES that desired it delivered to the previous Saturday (we think the was retribution since we whined about them changing the cost of us). Following 8 months of these giving us the run around about dropping our things, I said screw it, I’ll just submit a claim. Well, that section is much more challenging (no mails, no faxes, just photos revealing the whole thing, sent to them and you then wait much longer). So how can you send a photograph of”missing things”?? RUN AWAY!! DO NOT GET SCAMMED LIKE WE DID!!
Thank you Top Speed movers for smooth going adventure obtained my items to Florida in fantastic form and in a timely fashion as promised. I love all of your kind and considerate people which assisted me so many times. Thanks again
