In 2019- 2020 this moving business is still doing dreadful occupation (scammers). As I’m writing this specific review, I’m also learning That I’m not the only miserable client here:-(
This is definitely the WORST moving firm we’ve worked with (we transferred 6th occasions with unique businesses from 1 country to another country ).
– Since a beginning pricing was like big items that we Weren’t likely to proceed (we informed the sales man at quote time however , still they attempted to add to the Last price )
– a day ahead of the transfer, Stevens also tried to pushed the packaging / loading of (1) evening and we told them we can NOT as our home’s purchaser were going in (we must contend on that)
– In the shipping we obtained 1/4 of the furniture DAMAGED. Twist with broken legs (leg outside ), commode with broken legs (leg outside ) and strong dining table from Pottery Barn with broken legs (leg outside ) all these, since movers failed NOT TAKE THE opportunity to eliminate legs as many others movers usually do….then we’d (4) closets broken and prepared to drop in (4) bits, fancy dining table ruined, and we all got numerous others damages.
– We compensated for unpacking charge however, movers were ditching items on the ground, in addition to every other mixing all boxes together. . .same with workplace paper material. .it was so poor that my husband requested the movers to please stop and leave the home….we nevertheless paid total moving/ unpacking price..lol!!
– About the moving day, we revealed some of these apparent broken furniture pieces and also shot photographs and if we had the opportunity to open and settle all boxes we delivered our entire claim however, Stevens attempted to play with the game that these damages must have been composed on unpacking listing, even if our contract stated we’d ONE YEAR TO FILE A CLAIM. We even had an email in composing from Stevens stating that is was absolutely okay to submit the remaining part of the promise after in time (around 1 year old!) Nevertheless Stevens came up with lies rather than paying anything hurts,
Stevens even attempted to assert that our submitted photographs of furniture damages carrying on the moving day (together with box approximately ) was NOT demonstrating damages were completed daily…. Despite the fact that Stevens creates a record of the furniture has been picked up prior to the transfer (stevens denied to examine it). We even argued on things we composed on our listing,. .
CONCLUSION: we pay for pennies since we do not need to time to perform their match (no fixed offered). . .but, DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!
We had been given no option except to utilize Stevens for our company relocation. The team who showed up to package our house showed up one evening early. The team that showed up to pack the van showed up one evening late. The moving team packaged things which were obviously marked as don’t touch and also refused to remove them in the van. Our stock went out of our house, for their storage, to our new house yet somehow they dropped a substantial amount of our belongings (such as a drill which was IN its instance whenever they took it) and ruined an extremely costly grill, freezer, tool chest etc.. I’d absolutely prevent this organization and invest your money elsewhere.
Comparable to other reviews here. Items missing and damaged. Insurance refused to pay claims. They promised to be piano movers however, place piano legs on wrong. I can not believe this area is still in company
Ranging from Cumming GA into Timnath Co mid February to mid March. 2019 because of flaws.
Stevens Worldwide was that the carrier and had been also a disaster from day one. They have been a day late to the first pickup, divide the shipment in to two deliveries months apart, dropped paperwork relevant to the first stock, shattered furniture, ruined land on second shipping, unpacked many things to make them smaller leading to severe harm to a classic 1750 grandfather clock, even refused to depart any paperwork to the next half of their dispatch, failed to send several boxes inventoried and marked too packaged with owner, denied claims for harm in addition to a entire disregard for the missing things.
Just don’t take a shot and see several similar testimonials of the business.
Stevens Van Lines (Saginaw, MI) was contracted and hired by me through SafeWay Moving & Storage (Lake Forest, CA) to transfer our household products from Southern California into Chicagoland. Even the”white glove” packaging was finished on 8/27/18, products were packed on 8/28/18 and sent to 9/4/18. Since there was signs of harm to your household products, we’d quickly alerted the agent (SafeWay Moving & Storage) the exact identical day of shipping, requesting them to deal with problem for us. Following the broker verified that they were getting somewhat w/ Stevens associated with some harms, I had been advised about 10/18/19 to submit a formal claim myself, which I did on 10/19/18. Relating to a few of the most treasured pieces of furniture, so our buffet has been rebuilt with the driver/team upon transportation. But once the legs placed back on beneath, either the incorrect screws were employed or they had been tightened too far, puncturing the interior of the cupboard from the ground upwards, which had been totally unnoticeable until we’d started loading the cupboard nicely after the group had gone.
Without sending anybody to my house to physically inspect the hurt, Stevens had quickly denied my claim on 10/25, together with the next rebuttal, which they continue utilizing now. “As this product is one which could be employed on a daily basis it’s reasonable to conclude that when the loss occurred while the product was in our custody, then it might have been detected either in delivery or soon afterwards. The damage/loss with this particular product wasn’t reported before 46 days following delivery. We discover that the 2nd part of Carmack hasn’t yet been proven. If this dispatch delivered you signed up the inventories admitting that the dispatch has been received in apparent good condition unless otherwise noted. You didn’t note any damage to the item in the time of shipping. There’s not any proof that the harm that’s presently being maintained is a consequence of our managing or that this merchandise changed illness whereas under our care, custody, and management. Thus, we have to respectfully deny accountability.”
Unfortunately, they keep holding their lineup on this explanation. Along with their contracts have been written so vaguely that any wrongdoing will constantly be pointed back in the customer when shielding their business.
We transferred from Maryland State to Washington State at June 2018. We travelled with Quality Transport and Storage since the Regional Agent and Stevens Worldwide Van Lines since the Interstate Movers. Both choices were rather bad option.
We signed a touch on 01 May 2018. The regional brokers were to package our boxes up around the 16MAY2018 along with 17MAY2018 load truck and transfer products to Washington State with coming involving 26MAY -01JUN2018 or next page stated 26May -02JUN2018. When asked for caution that the workplace planner was perplexed and never reacted. We ought to have known better.
The component of the contract said that in the event the provider changes shipping dates the clients will receive 100 percent of resorts and 50 percent meals or around $125.00 daily for annoyance whatever is less.
About the 17MAY2018 following our household products are moved. We get a call in the neighborhood agent. She notifies us that our products won’t be delivered before the 11JUN2018, no reason why, however, she informs us that we will be getting hassle fees. Stunned we wrapped up the telephone and went to cancel airline tickets and tickets.
Because we no longer have anything in the home we left Maryland and drove across country to satisfy our belongings at Washington, and seen family on the way. We arrived at Washington about the 06JUN2018 nicely prior to our stuff came. Actual stuff came on 16JUN2018 lousy communication with the motorist. Truck broke down….
Nevertheless, the actual fun began when the claim has been filed. The Claims adjuster from Stevens was quite impolite who proceeds to notify us that it isn’t customary for all of us to be submitting resorts which aren’t within our destination. This is wholly fraudulent. I’m paying for these to transfer my things across state. Just how am I supposed to fulfill my things if I’m not permitted to drive out there? That is actually the dumbest logic I’ve ever seen.
Finally we had been refused all hassle payments due to the 17MAY2018 the workplace organizer composed in the database that’s visible just to Stevens Worldwide Van Lines and superior Storage and Transportation. Saying that WE the clients won’t be accessible prior to the 11JUN2018. That obvious lie price my husband and I around $2,000 bucks. Remember on 17MAY2018 we still are in possession of airlines tickets and rental automobiles. We NEVER SAID anything regarding not being available to satisfy our things. When requested for real proof from us stating we can’t fulfill the June 11 deadline. There was not any record.
We were also denied damages. We did not need a lot of neighborhood strangers interrupting our products within our brand new destination.
Here are a few take aways:
* The most moving companies need to offer details on Arbitration. Arbitration is done by the Moving Firms Unions?
* The clients have the right to take businesses to Small Claims Court.
* You the client has to be informed in writing of any delay, and a telephone call isn’t proof enough.
* US Code of Federal Regulations Title 49 is the place you are able to locate the true info.
My spouse & I did not believe we’d have a fair shot. There are some time constraints and moving to a new house takes time. We’ve lost the cash but hopefully this inspection will be able to assist you.
If I could provide negative stars I would! Don’t use THIS COMPANY unless you adore insanity, ZERO communication regarding your possessions and RUDE, CONDESCENDING, folks once you FINALLY hear from somebody after 3 times of ZERO communicating after their truck breaks down in route for a drop off destination!
I had been left worried from my thoughts, wondering where ALL of my possessions are and if they’re okay (what I have and no courtesy telephone!!) And with no idea as it could be delivered!! Nobody even called me to inform me that the truck broke down!
The 1 time that I managed to attain the driver. . .as I had been awaiting his birth, said”oh the truck broke down, a person was supposed to phone you.” That is all I ever got was them throwing out names of individuals that were”assumed” to phone me but no one did for 3 times!!
They then can not even correctly load a 10 x 10 storage device!! Cramming a 5 x 7 2000 mirror in the opening in order for it to fall upon opening the doorway!! On ME!!! Inexcusable on EVERY degree from begin to finish! They didn’t even properly tag things as a few were coming into a house and other people to storage, and so I had up with 4 things in the home that were to maintain vice and storage CRESA from the storage! This was later being condescendingly assured that they would understand what was to be dropped off where! Boxes marked brittle are dented and I’ll be writing more when I get the guts to return to the storage and then open up them. Who treats somebody’s possessions such as this?
The WORST moving encounter EVER!!! And I’ve transferred a lot!!!!!
Stevens Van Lines is reprehensible!
This movement was a tragedy. The local representative was Boise Office and Transferring. I had been a dummy to think them about how good they were and although I covered my transfer, I picked a $750 deductible, presuming that I wouldn’t have any claims. My wood furniture was scratched and nicked, 1 end table outside repair. My very pricey off white couch had black marks around it, in addition to an upholstered recliner. They snapped the laundry room floor in my recently constructed house and put a hole in the wall on peak of the staircase. I don’t feel the furniture has been correctly cushioned; otherwise there wouldn’t have been a lot of harm. In case Boise Office is normal of representatives for Stevens, steer clear of those men. The movers were in a rush to come back to Boise, and also their work revealed their haste. The inventory sheet wasn’t in any way special therefore was difficult to ascertain damaged products. I gave them one celebrity since they did something right. This was boxing and wrap two big wall images which were hurt free.
It was 3 1/2 weeks of overall stress. After getting through the coming of our possessions from storage from Washington (not advised ahead of the transport could be subcontracted to Stevens Worldwide), using a motorist taking a rest throughout the majority of the unloading procedure and given poor information (we ought to have written down several matters ); we’re currently dealing with lost things from boxes. We compensated for your replacement/repair insurancecoverage, but aren’t any compensation for items which are missing. We originally gave the firm the benefit of the doubt believing a box could have gone on to Tucson (next shipping ) or has been abandoned in storage, however it’s extremely clear that our boxes have been tampered with either between our home and both trucks, in storage, even involving storage and also the Stevens truck, or involving the truck along with our garage.
Personally, I spoke to and watched the worker packaging our flatware (stainless steel 12 place settings and serving pieces out of our marriage nearly 38 years back ) from Washington. I discovered both part flatware trays at the drawer and then took out them to be saved. The next evening when they came to complete packing and transferring possessions I even told him that I might have spared him time with him wrap both part flatware trays together with the flatware indoors rather than packaging them in several packages. I wished to carry the trays together with me, also. I saw him place the flatware to a big packing box. We’d over 240 boxes and pieces of furniture arrive at July so there wasn’t any way we’d have understood things were missing out of boxes. Now, because every other thing from our own kitchen (with the exclusion of a costly non-stick skillet ) came we realize that a box has been opened and items eliminated before becoming here. We erroneously thought with 9 weeks to document claims that we can be reimbursed for lost items in the boxes. WRONG! We’re being told that we signed for each of the boxes so that we can not have a thing missing and we’re needing our promise.
I also had an economical plastic bag with hands held gardening gear and 2 pairs of art gloves that’s missing. The bag will be immaterial, but it had been granted to me with my very best friend from college if my daddy died. They also gave us a hydrangea plantlife, however we couldn’t transfer the plant out of our lawn, so that I created a point of telling my husband I needed to maintain the bag with my gardening gear. Since we advised folks (like Mountain Moving owners) we gave off a great deal of our possessions, I had been forced to feel as though I had been lying or confused about the gardening things.
A few different items I don’t own a private consideration of, but it does not appear to matter anyhow. We understand they’re missing, and we’re needing any reimbursement. They keep telling us that we signed a valid record that each of the boxes came. What were we supposed to understand the afternoon 240+ boxes came that individual things were lost?
The business manager advised me to recheck boxes to get things and ask our children if we gave them items which were missing. We didn’t report broken plates which were packed with ourselves along with a broken bed frame which has been broken before we transferred or a saddle which was recorded on the stock, but I mentioned we gave into a worker in Washington. Why can we create a false record?
In addition, we do not know why the replacement insurance does not cover things missing interior boxes. Certainly, we’re not the first individuals to have things lost, stolen, lost etc. prior shipping. Why did they pay some harm to wooden pot, although not missing items? Stevens is saying that they did not originally pack the things so they aren’t accountable and Mountain Transferring is just telling us,”No,” on what lost.
We were quite naive (we all know the proprietors of Mountain Transferring ) and far too trusting. For example, we now know something has been amiss with a minumum of one box (apart from the lost flatware along with some different things ). The handlers brought a number of things to people (planter, cleaning materials in a purse, flooring steamer, 1 piece of both part flatware menu ) at no box also informed me ,”All these were last minute things and they were not at a box and did not have any quantities, so that they were not on the stock list.” Wow! How are they saved for 7+ months??? Additionally, weird that the flatware tray had a different bit which was later discovered at a box that was packed. Why would not those 2 bits are packed together? Additionally, I recently discovered in their legal paperwork which our lawn mower has been recorded with a grass catcher. We did not have a lawn when our things came in July so did not check it tightly and now realize that the grass catcher never came. We all know their response is that we assessed it on the stock sheet, thus we won’t even waste our time on this one. (We need to have been more scrupulous.)
The driver assured us some harm and missing items could be cared for but equally Mountain Transferring and Stevens will not cover anything as we did not write it down the day of shipping.
Furthermore, the motorist told Stevens that a mattress was totally put together without a harm when he had been the person who came to us to inform us screws were lost to the support loops and a single slat could be put in the conclusion of the mattress since the service leg was lost a foot and then there will be less burden over the slat out there. Any we might just place a sheet of wood beneath it. Stevens finally paid for your hardware, but that illustrates the necessity to never trust the organization and what their workers report.
Regrettably, courses (write things down, do not be forced to think what’s OK, do not allow the first company subcontract,) are too late for all of us. Bottom-line we strongly suggest that you never utilize Stevens Van Lines or even Mountain Moving and Storage. We don’t suggest these businesses and recommend you to get another mover. Likewise don’t pay additional for insurance until you’re assured they’ll cover lost things.
I hired Pinks (that have a superb reputation, and that we’d used before to get a local relocation ) who gave it to Stevens for its cross country trip. “Thieves and wreckers shielded by attorneys” is my brief description of our expertise.
Though I had been present in out the load and the loading in, things (especially from the garage, which we’d used to keep a number of our valued private mementos throughout the”staging” procedure of the home sale) was regarded as packaged, but just did not arrive in the destination. Other furniture only arrived broken, with the disclaimer that”presswood is not covered by insurance” being used for just not care for their client’s possessions.
Our assert against Stevens was disregarded by them, since we hadn’t listed the damage/missing items in the moment, although it was the behaviour of the employees/contractors that averted missing/damaged things being identified.
Still miss my classic train set which was not noticed as being lost before the Christmas following the movement:-LRB-
Stevens dropped our whole family for a week. Don’t answer emails or calls. Apparently the dispatch cleared habits and they didn’t do anything later (they were supposed to move it out of Cleveland to Pittsburgh). They then claimed that the source agent suggested that the dispatch terminated in Cleveland instead of Pittsburgh, that is totally untrue (all of source representative’s documentation state Pittsburgh). No apology from Stevens, no effort to remedy the circumstance. Simply curt, rude emails telling us how things will proceed and endangering everyone else. And here we’ve got an whole household made to sleep on the bare floor for an whole week for this reason. They may be commendable and apologize for causing all of this, or create some sort of attempt to hurry it. But no. We’ve yet to even see whether they will offer the full size furniture and moving assembly that we paid for, or whether our family things are OK. Prevent Stevens like the plague.
I hired Midwest who subsequently gave it into Stevens! My boxes arrived to
Us smashed in with pockets table scratched along with my Custom left handed 300.00 cracked. In addition to it they where late by 4 times!
Their response wither that the boxes have been smashed they did not pack them we did so that their not accountable to the box lost. I’ve got pictures of what they simply don’t care!
They provided us 112.00 bucks for many damage and lost things. DO NOT USE THEM OR MIDWEST MOVERS at Illinois!!!!!!!
We don’t suggest Stevens van lines. We used them if United Van Lines wasn’t readily available for our relocation in the East Coast to the Midwest.
Both man team that arrived on packaging day were dreadful. They didn’t tag boxes correctly, squished everything from every room into enormous boxes and packaged clothing as well as different items, such as stuff in the restroom, for example toilet rugs. They had been extremely random and disorganized in their own packaging and required continuous instructions and oversight and required all day. They failed to wrap things well, such as ones that are fragile. We’d used United for 2 previous moves and have been very impressed by their company and packaging procedures. They used multiple little boxes and literally tagged each single one with each of the items packaged inside. Together with Stevens, we needed to educate them seeing everything such as eliminating bulbs from lamps until they place them at the vehicle. The movers missed packaging items and if we pointed out them, they informed us you should have told us sooner. We’d already advised them when they came which all in the home has to be packed.
They informed us they’d unpack from the Midwest to get an excess fee that we signed up for however little did I understand their unpacking included opening boxes and ditching everything in enormous piles in our chambers. They dropped toilet mats and kitchen utensils in addition to our children clothing in the nursery (I ended up needing to wash each and every bit of clothes my children owned). We needed to form mountains of things which literally took months as boxes from other chambers were thrown along with one another. I can’t start to list the amount of things they ruined; several lamps, and our wood bed, wood tables, and two pricey $500 car seats, costly nursery room furniture, etc.. We had a distinct storage department at the East Coast that was designed to visit a storage place at the MidWest. They place multiple things into storage which weren’t supposed to move there and also vice versa. My spouse and I invested a great deal of effort and time tracking down things and transferring things to and fro the storage space and three weeks later we moved, we’re still missing several things and don’t have any idea where they’ve misplaced/missed.
I don’t write reviews, this really is my first one, however, after a dreadful encounter, felt compelled to warn others of how disgusting and careless they’re.
I had been charged an additional $3000 since they anticipated that the weight wrongly. I received the awful news three weeks after the move. Now you can not reconsider or proceed with a different vendor They’ve all of your possessions and you need to cover anything they say. Essentially a ransom payment.
Be sure and get a warranty of cost BEFORE entering into a moving contract.
I’m in the army and have moved around 9 times. This is actually the worst move in my 26 decades of serving in the army. Delivery was scheduled for a week past. They then kept telling me to wait for a couple more days. Subsequently the shipping date has been scheduled for this morning. Nobody showed up and when I called they are answer was that they did not understand what occurred. Truck driver subsequently called after and”warranties” to provide tomorrow. I really don’t think him or the corporation. Again….cannot highlight enough to prospective and prospective customers….do NOT seek the services of this provider. They are incredibly unreliable rather than trusted with your household products. Unfortunately the army has contracted into the worst possible firm. Caring for our army?? I believe not!!! Consumers….beware!!!
They delivered a two man team. Took the all day. The boss guy, Antwon, has been on his own headset speaking to loved ones all afternoon long. When it eventually came to transfer our treadmill- that he could not get it via the shop. He explained” I am not able to take it away – but that is the only means. Long story short- we waited till 11 pm – and after two hours – Antwon couldn’t put it all together. He explained to us-“I might need to spend the hit””That really is actually my fault”. We just got our refusal on maintain – together with directions on taking care of your treadmill. Is not that a wonderful touch? They didn’t even offer to get it fixed. We work hard to all our items and if you do well – Can NOT seek the services of this ratchet team.
Don’t utilize Stevens World Wide Van Lines for the transfer. We’d moved from Texas to Florida in 2014 and utilized Stevens. The team was great. They wrapped everything and everything was ruined. We utilized Stevens for our relocation this year from Florida to Tennessee, believing we’d find the exact same expert support. So a lot of these products were damaged. We had the adjuster come around to shoot pictures and we delivered in pictures plus a listing of damages. We only got the letter from the email. They won’t be paying anything. Wonderful way to take care of repeat clients. Don’t use if you like your house.
Really like the salesman that sold on utilizing Stevens to get a local movement, but the end result was quite disappointing. So many parts of furniture have been nicked, scratched and gouged. After submitting a claim, Stevens wouldn’t send anybody out to check. Salesman appeared at agreed and damaged nicks were fresh but when challenged by business he slit.
Do not use this provider. Men who proceeded were helpful and nice but not really worth expecting your things for this provider. Wish I’d read reviews before I booked them.
They distroyed and guy handled my private items and didn’t wish to cover damages. All these people today slip from army families when they need to pay out of pocket to get their own move. Shame on those folks!!! I’d suggest that individuals do their research prior to applying this business.
I’d proposed a transfer in Asheville to Mpls. As soon as I called to get a last date and quotation I got the information that they were not able to transfer me after all. They’d no trucks moving into the Twin Cities whatsoever in the near future. I’d used the provider previously to proceed to Ft Myers and Asheville with amazing outcomes. I believe it is tough to think no one is currently going into Minnesota or North Dakota or South Dakota or Wisconsin that is exactly what I had been told. Beware. They’ve gone down hill in the past couple of decades.
We moved from Arizona to Illinois in October. The initial team marked every box and aided packaged some things from the garage. Obviously we had lots of boxes. The driver of the first truck stated his wife could be in the opposite end of the transfer to assist. Locked the truck up and stated they will take decent care of my belongings. Boy did they ever!!!!! So many things were lost!! The next driver and team came on a really rainy day. The initial driver had a family crisis so he was not delivering the furniture. They advised me if”whatever is broken or missing to submit a complaint. What a joke that is. They would like you to submit a mediation that prices $650.00. The transfer cost us 13,000and desired us to invest more money to locate our things.Really!!! I was overlooking some art which I discovered and let them understand, so they advised me to keep searching in boxes to my other things. All boxes were available and guess what, my stuff wasn’t there. So where is it at if the truck has been locked??? There were matters from my mom in law that I can not replace. I wish I’d of read a number of the reviews before we proceeded, but the gentleman who came to quantify everything stated the move could be nice without any issues. They need to have VERY POOR for testimonials not only bad. We chose this business because they stated they had been to veterans, came highly suggested for its support. Thieves, thieves, don’t advocate!!
Everybody beware of Stevens Worldwide Moving Business. They’re unethical liars and will pass on the buck to attempt not to pay off on any promises. They’ve awakened with Bannister from Arizona they’re packaging storage moving firm that operate with Stevens and they are just as poor as Stevens spent more than $13,000 to get a transfer and had almost $5,000 worth of damage I am not needing $5,000 at retribution but I am wanting it fair try at settling this and they don’t care in any respect. Beware of those Folksy’all
Have moved 9 times. NEVER had a much worse experience! They lack business, professionalism or ability. If I were able to convince someone to not use this particular company I’d. Save your frustration, lack of strain and sleep. You’ve enough of this with any movement. Why add more needlessly? They’re definitely the worse moving business I’ve ever seen!
I’ve moved throughout the nation many times. Never have I struck the refusal of responsibility for harms which happened with Stevens. I transferred from two places in DC to WA. The driver was in a rush to depart for a different delivery and did not come into our condominium. His wife rushed to sign the newspapers, asserting that I could afterwards inspect for damages and document any report. I commented to her that there were compensation. Additionally, I contacted our regional agent, Perry Transferring, the following day, to record the identical info. Upon submitting the official assert, Stevens denied responsibility for the majority of damages, saying that these needed to be indicated on the initial bill (only one had been marked). They paid a minimal amount for a busted couch, while adding numerous xeroxed pages of couch legs we can buy (not even the issue ). The damage was more extensive and wasn’t even a busted leg, since they misinterpreted. They also paid a minimal amount on 4 floor lamps that were broken. The dispatch of these components are more expensive than their settlement sum, which didn’t cover the components themselves. They didn’t provide anything to fix harm on two Italian lacquer cabinets (valued at $7000 per year ). We photographed fractures in the lacquer, scrapes, misassembly. They said that this needed to have appeared about the sheets on moving day. Another classic Knoll Pollock chair sustained a broken arm, never observable on moving day (black arm, among 4 these seats ). Again, Stevens denied all responsibility. Nobody would speak with us. They said that our only alternative was to file for mediation, which could have cost us at least $300. We’ve coped with nationwide moving companies that have sent adjusters and followed through with fixes on broken items. Stevens self-insures and handles to hold onto cash that was assumed to pay for damages. This is actually the worst company practice! NEVER use Stevens should you like your possessions.
Here is actually the most peculiar moving van lines I have ever handled.
We transferred in Cleveland, OH to Sacramento, CA now and upon getting our free quote, Stevens certainly does a fantastic job a placing to a fancy face and which makes you really feel as they can do a wonderful job. (NAME EDIT) (I do not know how to spell his last name), scouted our home and also gave us a fantastic, affordable estimate. We’re looking at below $5,000 to the entire movement, which is quite fair. He had been open to carry my telephone calls and answer all of my questions, however afterwards we had our mistakes from false advice we had been given. .
The start of the movement went fantastic, (NAME EDIT) was our move Advisor, our move to person for every thing that our move. She informed us two times before our planned pickup along with the truck was just 15 minutes late on July 29. My husband had been carrying out the check-list of boxes together with the movers and after our stuff had been gathered, we believed we’d be on our way.
Since our relocation has been all the way across state we requested (NAME EDIT) to notify us at least 4-5 days ahead of it is coming to California. Little did we realize that since we sat happily spending our last couple of days in our families houses, they with no knowledge or approval, took off our stuff the truck and packed it in a totally different truck (that my husband nor I had been there to oversee ). We ended up phoning (NAME EDIT) to learn our stuff is going to be there August 9. She double checked using two of her additional staff members and people even called back the following morning until we left where they told us that the driver are there in the 9th, therefore with 6 weeks before us, we hit the street.
This was August 6th once WE predicted (NAME EDIT) to dual check/confirm that our August 9th destination shipping, at which time she says to people that the truck has not left yet, it is going to arrive on August 13th. We had been just a day off to our new residence in Sacramento along with the truck was over a week behind us now. My husband and I, together with two enormous road-trip sick dogs are staying at a resort with big dog charges and needing to order outside regular. We immediately came to discover that, that lifestyle was unsustainable for another week so that we camped out at our vacant apartment with sleeping bags to the ground and microwave meals in the freezer, eating with plastic silverware for another week. We predicted (NAME EDIT) to let her know just how do it has gotten using a change of our possessions with no understanding and now the incorrect destination date, so she informed us in her very own words,”I can not do anything about this, I am just a middle person.” EXCUSE ME! Only a MIDDLE MAN! You’re OUR MOVE CONSULTANT. You’re supposed to be the 1 person that understands each element of our movement, that we’re able to call for reassurance.
Afterward comes August 12th, we receive a call in the Stevens office telling us we didn’t cover yet, which I gave my credit card number into (NAME EDIT) daily prior to the movers picked up our belongings at Cleveland. How disgusting and unprofessional. By each telephone call we had been more and more worried and worried about our own possessions with this truck.
Well, thankfully August 13th (a Saturday) has eventually come about and we’re beyond eager to get our possessions. They had been to arrive at 10am and the motorist was supposed to match with a team of two men, at which time they’d go catch there shuttle truck (because our flat streets are too little for the large 18 wheeler) and could get our possessions in the house. Nicely, (NAME EDIT) brings up about 10am right now, so I venture together with the dogs into a dog park for them from their way and outside of the home. (NAME EDIT) informs us that the two man crew that’s supposed to assist him has not shown up and he can not get ahold of anybody at the workplace. My spouse calls the workplace but on a Saturday it is shut and (NAME EDIT) has not given us some out of workplace contact number for anybody. We predict (NAME EDIT)emails since he is the sole mobile phone number we all know at anybody in the organization but we just get his voicemail. (NAME EDIT) our truck driver can not reach anybody on the two numbers he’s given. Nicely, (NAME EDIT) extends and receives the shuttle truck by himself and return to begin loading.
With this time it’s past noon and also hot to be outside in the dog park anymore, therefore I bring the dogs back into the flat. My spouse and I drive around to speak to (NAME EDIT). He starts to tell us he does not even do the job for Stevens and he’s a third party moving business that Stevens hired. WHAT?!?! I thought I simply gave 5 grand to STEVENS to transfer our things, I might have hired a third party inspector and stored money if I understood that’s what Stevens was likely to perform. (NAME EDIT) was also telling us that he has been requesting anyone who seemed healthy that walked by if he could cover them and they’d move our things into the home. He’s ASKING STRANGERS TO COME INTO OUR HOME!
Long story a bit shorter: (NAME EDIT) ended up phoning a completely different moving business, who delivered over two of the men to assist us. The project was completed around 4pm however A comprehensive NIGHTMARE!
We began unpacking soon afterwards and discovered that not just a few boxes were already open but most things were damaged, a few lost, and we even had OTHER individuals boxes which weren’t just ours.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM STEVENS! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!
This is the very first time we ever used a professional moving business for a very long distance move of their loved ones. We were really happy at the courteous and professional support we received by Triangle Movers Inc in New York and also Fred, their own driver and team from North Carolina. Bobby, both Steve and Kareem ran themselves well and have been completed at the time guaranteed.
There was just one damaged thing and one lost thing and Stevens is presently processing our promise.
Jack and Cathy Eschbacher are extremely professional and fairly priced. We wholeheartedly recommond their company and Stevens to anybody.
We advise that you don’t utilize Stevens Van Lines. We moved out of Seattle to Lone Tree, CO, and the only great part of the movement was that the delivery from the Denver region was within the time period requested.
Now, here is the awful part of the transfer:
The movers were surly, and even though the things we had in different storage in Seattle were now shuffled in with all our household products, (a significant problem), they seemed annoyed that we needed to determine which things to move to our new house on their truck!! Consequently, our relocation took twice as long as it ought to have! Things weren’t checked off as they had been taken out of the truck.
1 mover specifically was quite rude, whining under his breath, but in earshot, about our not fond of their program. The movers were more concerned about the length of time the movement was carrying, rather than if the task has been done correctly. We were also charged an extra $300 on the move-in day.
The movers ruined our new condominium complex (split light fixture) and into the condominium floor. The king bed was constructed incorrectly from the movers. I noticed that the bottom right drawer under the mattress didn’t slide closed correctly. The driver seemed to fix it so it shut correctly, but didn’t actually fix the drawer. We just found that out several weeks after when we tried to pull out the drawer over half way along with the bottom assembly dropped out.
Following the unprofessional, disagreeable, and insulting move, the cost settlement procedure started. We anticipated that a regional claims adjustor would see, which had been the procedure at a prior company transfer using another seller. Rather, the claims settlement process went in a perplexing, highly bureaucratic, and disagreeable way. To begin with , we had two distinct forms and asserts; one for move-in harm to the rental house and one to the merchandise being transferred (known as’freight’). These were managed by two distinct men and women!
We asked that a regional claims adjustor see (Stevens has a workplace less than 20 minutes off ). Incredibly, that has been refused. Rather, we can just manage claims adjustors from Michigan by writing (letter or email ). Only photos were approved.
When we asked that they send someone out to fix the mattress drawer, that has been refused. They stated any claim associated with the drawer (we only wanted it repaired ) Was invalid, since it wasn’t mentioned on move-in. We’d, in actuality, told the motorist. We didn’t note any damage on the move-in shape because we believed he had repaired it. It was just when we attempted to put clothing into it that the bottom dropped. Claim denied.
We had no recourse with the claims procedure aside from arbitration. Worse still, you need to pay some $300+ just for the mediation procedure. It isn’t totally free, as we anticipated, so we didn’t pursue it.
All in all, the movers were very disorganized and unprofessional, along with the claims procedure equally insulting. We advise you to utilize other interstate movers, and certainly not utilize Stevens.
Amateur motorist with 3 unworthy helpers required 14 hours to load a two bedroom home with cellar. Cannot deliver on day guaranteed, obtained follow up date and now they will not make this. Sitting in new house without a waiting, waiting for more than 5 times now.
STEVENS IS HORRIBLE
You’ve got choices on who to use as a plumber. I don’t advise utilizing Stevens WW Van Lines. It had been the worst of most of our 7 livelihood moves and it’d all to as a result of folks. Up front they sounded fine but ultimately we needed to file a police report on account of the theft of our possessions. The Stevens packers seemed like they just came off the road and not the type of people I’d normally let in to our residence. When unpacking we discovered that our items were rummaged though and things were missing. We had over $800 in weeds evaporate and over $700 in broken land. Sergio Q, the motorist, spent more time badmouthing Stevens afterward inventorying the contents to the BOL. This Stevens’s wrong BOL became the motive for Stevens to denied our claim and has been done without even a telephone call, email, or review to investigate what went so dreadful wrong. The contested claim has been denied summarily. Trisha L, the claims adjuster at Stevens refused to return calls and we had been totally disregarded. I’m unsure Stevens even knew the names of those people they hired to package us and that’s the exact frightening part. Stevens employees ran themselves unprofessionally and with very little awareness of customer services. There was a”receive the cash and run mindset” to the way they interacted with me as a client. You’ve got options and Stevens Worldwide Van Lines isn’t one of the better options.
Our movement is in 2 parts. Part one has been to storage at Michigan. Part 2 will be shipping to Arizona once our new residence is already built.
The part one experience exceeded expectations. Very significant, the earnings quotation was appropriate inline with the true cost. Second, we’re overrun with packaging. The inspector requested us to tell them our wants daily before and they supplied the work force to do everything. The movers have been more friendly, professional, and also given hints since we both completed packaging. They even did a fantastic job crating big glass things.
I’m anticipating a comparable fine job if our objects are carried and put up at AZ.
Being in the army for over 11 decades now we have had to endure numerous moves throughout the nation. This firm is by far the worst we’ve ever addressed. The packers were overdue, slow and whined about every other right in front of us. They packed fragile things on the base of boxes, half filled other boxes and wasted a ton of supplies. There was not any motivation from anybody about the packaging team. We counted the amount of boxes that they properly branded and it totaled 6. The remainder had no tag on them so unpacking was a nightmare. They left cigarette butts around our front lawn and shattered the bricks onto the front steps together with the dollies moving in and out. Upon shipping at Texas, we discovered that many of those things were broken. They packaged our kid’s toys in our deep freezer, which allowed mold to grow on all of them. We’d 3 bookshelves which were totally destroyed…I am speaking in numerous pieces upon arrival, in addition to several different things which were broken, including massive dents throughout our deep freezer itself. I filed a claim with the business and they refused to cover us to the scratches in the freezer and two of those book shelves. They said the driver, upon pickup, noted that there were present damages to the bookshelves so that they wouldn’t be paying us for them. This was really upsetting as when they left our home they were still in 1 piece and upon arrival into our new home they had been in bits. Additionally they denied our promise for our freezer since we couldn’t establish that the damages occurred during shipment. It was not broke when it abandoned. . .it was granted us back broken. . .yet that they are still not going to accept responsibility. If you are searching for a moving business I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. If you are in the army like us along with the transport office says that they were given the contract and there is not anything you can do in order to get that changed, I suggest taking before and after images of whatever you’ve got and documenting every scrape on each bit of furniture before they appear. Hopefully they will shortly be removed from the listing of contractors available to serve our army. Definitely the worst experience we’ve ever had with a moving business.
Though Stevens intially offered to solve this dispute in reasonable fashion, they now refuse to honor their arrangement. Their worker, Mike Decision [Name has been eliminated per firm ask ], advised my credit card business that Stevens would send my undelivered item back to me free of cost. But ever since then they have been not able to achieve, evasive, and deceitful. But after about 9 weeks of holding my thing, they assert that Mike never consented to send it back to me free of cost – even though my credit card business with a RECORD of him creating that really offer. *** Back in October 2014, I hired Stevens to transfer a few things from LA to Chicago, such as a very big table top and foundation (packed separately). Their LA representative contracted with me for dispatch and delivery of All of the products, including the table in two parts. He and I both understood that the table will need at least four men to take it up two flights of stairs. *** We signed the contract and that I paid for the dispatch AFTER the representative had already transferred my things to his Community holding place. He’d seen, measured and weighed my desk until we signed the contract. Nonetheless, 1 HOUR AFTER the interstate truck had been packed in LA and led to Chicago, the representative emailed me that the table could NEVER go up two flights of steps and that I Would Have to hire a separate hoisting firm using a crane to Supply the dining table through a window or skylight. *** Instantly I and my loved the representative that if he had said something similar to this if we had been writing the deal, or if he had been holding the desk, we never could have sent it. (I had been sending some things from my mini-storage for my loved ones – it’d have been no big deal whatsoever of the take back the table to my own mini-storage.) *** Finally my charge card firm got included and Mike *[Name has been eliminated per firm ask ], a worker at Stevens, informed them that Stevens would do its very best to provide the table but that if they could not, They’d send it back to me free of cost. This was in about November 2014. *** I was known to John *[Title has been eliminated per firm request] in Stevens to organize this. He sent a person to See the Website and advised me that the table couldn’t actually be sent up the stairs. This took a Couple of weeks to ascertain but I believed He was making an attempt. However, when I then asked him to ship back the table to me, I started to have unlimited trouble. John stopped returning my phone calls or mails. If I’d track him down at the workplace, He’d promise to Check into matters but then Wouldn’t return to me. He had been hedgy about if the table could be delivered free of Price or if I’d be billed. Meanwhile Mike *[Title was eliminated per firm request] had abandoned Stevens and seemingly Nobody could hit him. *** [Title ] was likely to phone me but didn’t. She did not return emails or calls and was not in her office. Finally at the very end of June (weeks and months following all of this began ) J*** emailed me that [Title ] stated it’d cost me nearly $2,000 to send back my table. *** Once more it had been not possible to achieve [Title ]. Eventually we had a telephone call at the Start of August at which [Title ] refused that Mike actually offered to send back the table at No Cost, also complained They had been saving it in Chicago for quite long! The sole reason it had been in Chicago for a long time is that NO ONE AT STEVENS WOULD TALK TO ME OR RETURN MY CALLS. I’ve spoken again to my own credit card company and they affirm that [Name has been eliminated per firm request] DID inform them that Stevens will send back the table to me free of cost. It is within their documents but they can not create Stevens honor the deal. *** Thus Stevens is sitting on my beautiful and incredibly expensive dining table, and despite having originally offered to ship it back to me free of cost, they now want me to pay to send it backagain. (I am not even complaining about getting paid to send it there for COMPLETELY NO REASON AT ALL. The table must have accounted for nearly half of the Expense of the Entire shipment.) *** Stevens Is Extremely bad about communication, however to the extent I Can reach anyone They’re inflexible. There has been no offer to compromise, no mediation, no mediation, no reduction on other motions. Everything I get are all lies, evasions, and stall approaches.
I wanted to enjoy them. The folks on the phone were useful. The estimator was professional and helpful – but isn’t returning calls.
The team was lazy, lackadaisical, took plenty of fractures, missed multiple things that needed to be pointed out over and over, left cigarette butts and other trash on the two ends once I nicely asked them to wash up, hurried the movement in, put items in the wrong areas despite tags, appear to have dropped a minumum of one box, and much more. And, the team result made a racist remark on the way outside. I suppose he missed images of my son. Shocking. Worse, I’ve called estimator and primary number and nobody has called back. Don’t use. They weren’t first option. Another inspector urged them. Suspect I obtained the team nobody desires.
The drivers came on Sunday without a packaging material, then came to package on Monday 3 hours late. The motorists equally smoked in the rear of the truck so our home smelled of smoke when our boxes were sent in Florida. They forgot a bundle downstairs so that I needed to take a 25lb box upstairs and then package it in my own car with a busted ankle. They had been so late in departing 7:30 p.m. that we didn’t get into our home in Florida before 3:30 a.m.. They packed all of fragile items in massive boxes with the most delicate items at the bottom. I’d set out boxes for them to use but rather they crammed all of our small items into a single box with no wrapping. Which caused my little items to split and one thing I couldn’t even identify. They place an ivory carving, not wrapped, into box a box using a lamp wrapped in a blanket, of course the splitting broke and now I am dealing with all the insurance that just pays for the splitting and it isn’t important that the carving was in the family for more than 100 decades. They place my stained glass windows in the bottom of the boxes so both of them shattered. Oh also the man who showed up in our home at GA came together with his brother who doesn’t do the job for the firm, then showed up in our home at Fl with his actual partner who was away. Eventually they packaged my computer screen with no tabs to the computer keyboard and mouse along with also the insurance is refusing to pay because they say I signed a statement saying that it had been from the box once it abandoned the home and arrived at our new home. However, as I’ve explained to them I had a broken ankle and that I was never downstairs rather than saw it go in the box. This is a nightmare, and coping with their insurance is a larger nightmare. I’d never recommened them to anyone.
Stevens moved us from Seattle to Sun Valley, Idaho. Their agent visited our house and gave a quote of time and weight to load and pack. When moving day arrived, two trucks with crew arrived to our home. After the trucks were complete, they just abandoned, leaving many things behind, things which were included in the Organization’s estimate. We called to complain, they returned another day to find out what they’d abandoned. In Seattle we had been advised that things we packaged wouldn’t be covered by insurance and that They Ought to package the valuables. We did pack some ourselves and rented a small Uhaul truck to maneuver them. Nothing transferred by us was ruined. The contents out of the trucks which eliminated our household products were moved into a”long haul” truck. Upon arrival we discovered extensive damage to dishes, glassware, and pieces of artwork and furniture. Our dining room table had lots of Tiny scrapes on it. Afterwards they refused that they had transferred the table. They moved several things which we had offered to the Men and Women who bought our house, they had been clearly indicated They Shouldn’t Be transferred, but they had been and had to be returned to Seattle. In the end of the day unloading, the manager who was tracking the movement and imagining that the arrival of the merchandise by marking them off to the stock sheet, commented He had begun his career in proceeding as a packer and, because he had noticed that the High Number of damaged or broken items throughout the afternoon, suggested I sit down in front of him and record everything was ruined and our overall sense about the transfer. He remarked that those had packed our products didn’t know how to package. I did write the letter, signed it as did he. We registered our record of damages and obtained a trip by the Organization’s agents. They shot a variety of photos and also commented about the size of our harm. After a time, we recieved a reply from Stevens in Addition to a test for damages. The test was for $150. That sum Doesn’t come close to paying for the damages they created, for the cleanup still needed or the ruined items. And, like mentioned they even denied moving our dining room table. I urge anyone reading this not to, under any conditions, use Steven’s Van Line. They Aren’t professional, don’t acknowledge their errors or obligation. We have been left with no choice but to seek legal compensation. Avoid them at all costs.
I go around a great deal being that my occupation will include it and each and every time I’ve moved it’s obviously a nuisance something is always broken or missing. My friend advised me to phone Steven Van Lines and I’m sure glad that I did in the minute I called they had been so friendly and nice and reassuring. Everything was packaged well and once I got to my new house what was there nothing was broken or missing the entire time I that I didn’t have my things I had been stressed, worried for nothing regarding since everything came perfectly. I wish to take this opportunity to say thank you a lot I am quite happy I finally found somebody who I could trust and can be fair. I won’t ever ever have a stressful proceed again knowing that they have my things all cared for that I can not thank you enough I’ll be recommending you to all of my colleagues and everybody else that I know who has to be transferred thank you.
We might never even have had a more disagreeable encounter. Like the last reviewer I also had to get in touch with the BBB. Shipment was two weeks late, no communication whatsoever and refused to refund for damages/items which weren’t delivered. After helping purify the whole truck from the dark with just another mover, the motorist compelled us to signal the landing invoice (because it had been 11pm) earlier we could experience everything reassuring us that we had 90 days to make any promises. This ought to illustrate the method by which they prefer to perform business:They sent a record of framed artwork work different in our belongings-all of that were ruined beyond repair-and denied any compensation whatsoever mentioning that they had no record of this dispatch. I retained the box that’s clearly tagged”Framed Art Work-32lbs” and contains a dispatch tag from”Steven’s Vans Lines” printed onto the box. As soon as I sent them a photo of this box/shipment tag they still denied my promise! They said there wasn’t any record. Despite photographed proof they denied. Apparently, the client is always incorrect. What a nightmare. There is not a cost someone would pay me to use this provider again.
My spouse and I had been awarded your moving support for our army move in Castle Rock, Colorado into Dayton, Ohio last August and it’s been by far the WORST transfer within our 10 years together with the army. I will begin at the start. Our products were initially scheduled to be packaged up within a two day interval, when nobody came by noon in my scheduled packaging day I phoned the company to learn where everybody was. They advised me that they believed it would just take 1 day to package so that they canceled my very first moment. No written note for me, no telephone call, nothing. Just did not appear and charge us a day in work sitting about waiting for the nobody. Day two they showed up on time and were excellent initially, until approximately 5pm if they still had several chambers to finish packaging. They ended about 7:30pm. It was only when we obtained our possessions in Dayton that we understood the very last boxes which were packed (that were at the garage and images from round that home ) had zero cushioning and were smashed during storage and shipment. Speaking of this shipping, I requested the delivery group to reveal the boxes since they came in so that I could check my stock and be sure what was there. The team leader told me that he already checked off it and had his own crew unpack them and toss them at the vehicle before I could view all of the amounts. I still do not understand if we obtained all of our boxes. In Addition to all this, we all had a very big claim (dishes smashed, air conditioning device smashed in, furniture legs torn off, fridge plug ripped off) that we advised the organization of over the telephone in a month, however when we registered a claim that it had been refused noting that they”respectfully denied obligation.” I am not certain why they believe they can handle their military clients so badly, possibly due to their contract they understand that we cannot CHOOSE their support and consequently our opinions do not matter. I can tell you I’ll do every thing in my ability to never use this business for our next movement.
My Mother moved to CA in MI. My parents also have used this firm in previous decades and were really happy, thus the reason we known to get a quotation when my mother required to proceed. This experiecnce was quite poor. They hauled very small, appeared uninterested in our requests, were late delivering the merchandise to our house and that there was damage to both furniture and box materials. Of most significance was that the lateness of shipping and the non-caring mindset that they were overdue and may do nothing more to compensate my own mother for the simple fact that she didn’t have her own possessions for more than a week past what had been promised. Luckily we bought the insurance to pay for the damaged land. Due to the way they transfer – our products were packed and reloaded into various cargo units three or more times. Yet Another place of risk for improved harm. I wouldn’t use this firm. Locate one which really needs your Company. I’ll say – that the firm that delivered my mother’s house on behalf of Stevens was magnificent. They operate independantly and with other businesses and I’d recoemmend them. They were fine, caring, experienced and quite cautious with each of the property. Their title of the Business is currently Grace Moving.
We picked this company due to the discounted rate in our realtor.
The first appointment went well. Nevertheless, when it came time to satisfy their promises, they promised they never forced them. Buy EVERYTHING IN WRITING.
1 – Revenue rep stated we’d have our very own truck rather than be discussing. Lie.
Two – Revenue rep said she’d come out a couple of days early to be sure our packaging was on course without any difficulties. Lie.
Part-time scheduled for between 8am and 10am. I phoned them at 10:15am. They said the motorist had been over his hours limitation and are late. They already knew this and might have predicted in the afternoon to frighten us. Total collapse. They might also have sent across the remainder of the team to begin prepping the home with mats and padding and staging things. They have been sitting in the office awaiting the motorist.
The packaging was amazingly slow. We packed the majority of our own stuff well beforehand and had abandoned china and other breakables to them.
They didn’t leave our home till 4am, yes am, following midnight. Naturally, this place the motorist over hours and not able to create his smaller poickup another morning which has been filling the remainder of the truck. So that client has screwed over, also.
The driver didn’t have sufficient stock sheets or tags, so a lot of our dispatch has been undocumented. After delivery (that went far better), we discovered were were missing a box of hamburger coffee cups. The attempted to deny the promise and finally gave us 200 of the 360 in replacement expenses.
In a nutshell, don’t utilize Stevens. No matter that you use, make each little guarantee in writing.
Things arrived with a few scrapes and dings, however, the promise I registered was compensated together with the least hassle I have ever experienced. I love all of the help and also not having to invest some time waiting to get an estimator/adjuster. I wished to have a little time to allow you to understand how well our movement went on Thursday/Friday a week. Your employees and moving team proved extremely hardworking, courteous and professional. And this is a fairly major job. They presevered, getting all loaded and packed. Afterward, managed delivery of all without a hitch! Andrea was amazing and made everything quite clear on how the process would work and what to anticipate. I felt quite comfortable to have my own possessions moved round the nation with Stevens.
Sunny has assisted us proceeded twice previously, and we’ve found her extremely beneficial in all 3 motions. Everything went really smoothly and inexpensively. Driver & team arrived on time and everything was put in great areas. We operate only with Sunny–and as an expert interim pastor who goes every 2 Decades, that is saying a whole lot! She is the best!
Thanks to you and the team you sent around for creating MMVA’s move such a fantastic experience. Don, Dave, Tony Marty and Brian were Superb. They went over and beyond in ensuring that we ended up witt everything where we needed it to be. Every individual on the team was patient and helpful as the sensed was placed on the record cabinets along with the file cabinets were transferred from place to place.
Kirsten has been a joy to use. Immediate answers to our queries and consistently great about explaining the procedure. She was professional and quite optimistic. Loved working with her. This team was fabulous! Upon his arrival, our builder was rude to them and the group leader managed the situation with professionalism. The remainder of the afternoon was fantastic! They worked so hard and managed our household products with such care. I’ve moved cross country many times, which was the best team I ever needed. Like I said before, I’ve moved across county a few occasions and this is the best company I’ve ever worked with. Kirsten, teh packers as well as the shipping team were professional and very good to use. Fantastic experience!
When I had concerns or questions, they have been still responsive. The packaging and loading team, including the driver, were all fantastic to use. Very fast, pleasant and efficient. The shipping team was also good, including the driver. They moved out of the way to make my life simpler on a stressful moment. I would strongly suggest Stevens to anybody I knew who had been moving. Great individuals and business to utilize. I wouldn’t be afraid to utilize Stevens again when the occasion arose.
Frankly, Bill out of McAvery along with Juan (our driver) were so great. I appreciated all of their incredible customer services. I was quite apprehensive about our movement and they also made it quite smooth for our loved ones. Juan was quite pleasurable to use along with his team. Superb staff – no harm. Courteous, extremely amazing, outstanding coordination of the whole move. This was on time as advised. Fantastic effort in the team. Even shoveled drive and sailed garage
So far as communication goes, their communication has been outstanding. Brian was always readily available when I wanted clarification or answers. And that I never believed our discussions have been dashed. He gave me all of the details I had during the entire relocation procedure. I’ve already recommended Briand and Stevens Van Lines to lots of individuals and that I will keep doing so. I previously have used a various national moving business for my motions, which was unavailable for this movement. Stevens’ quotation and private service was considerably better and that I will only utilize Stevens from today on!
They were quite useful to us throughout a fairly stressful moment. The movers and the packers were quite professional. They helped ensure it is an fantastic movement and it had been clearly one of the better motions compared the to additional people we needed to create. Thank you very much for your prompt shipping and the additional care you needed to make certain all our possessions were secure.
The packaging crew was fantastic, really useful, effective and efficient at their jobs. Same compliments for their moving team also. It had been among the best moves we have had. They are an extremely customer friendly firm. Communication was excellent and we could not have asked for much better.
Working together with Sunny through the procedure was useful. She was patient and kind as was the catalyst and team. This was significant for people with such an intimidating task since proceeding after 14 decades of being at exactly the identical location. The Driver was amazing, quite easy to speak with, and has been receptive to some’dumb’ questions! Thanks to Stevens!
1. Bad attitude
2. Unprofessional
3. Didn’t inform truck was already full before e make and then abandoned with no program! We needed to call and proactively take care of difficulty!!! Even after that, headquarters only guaranteed, and DID not provide nor convey untilwe called them every so often to Learn standing
4. Crew not just unprofessional, but improper!
5. I would never also refer them to my enemy, critically!
Terrible Nightmare. . .Stevens communicating is non-existent using their client. When you’ve got a moving planner I don’t have any clue what they do since they did nothing for us besides simply take our cash. Moving is stressful and we transferred 10 hours off. They did not meet the shipping deadline, following escalating calls up into the VP level, eventually things showed up just to get the driver says all of our possessions aren’t about the vehicle? We saw them rich and they even took the liberty of eliminating roughly 30 percent of our possessions, placing them in a warehouse and hauling somebody else’s items to the truck. TWO WEEKS LATER – following many calls that they MAILED CRATES comprising the rest and hired Atlas Moving business to unload them. You will find boxes belonging to somebody else within our crates. Damages. . .too long to record and awarded our relocation happened on 6/22, we still cannot get anybody to call back regarding the damage claim that they attempted to brief us on. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY and first and foremost danger all of the tension and turmoil involved in coping with Stevens through a period where proceeding is already stressful enough. If you want to know more about broken promises and tiring months of the time seeking to be made whole again….Book em. BEWARE.
We utilized stevens to maneuver in the suburbs of chicago into the suburbs of austin. They came the day we asked at roughly noon. They had a tire issue the day until that postponed them, but they called to tell us they would be late. Everything arrived undamaged and has been accounted for. Two movers arrived with the truck along with two I believe we are from local affiliates. All friendly and considerate (known as me ma’am when inquiring where boxes ought to move ). All great with my seven Year-old son who had been curious and around. They ended at approximately 6:15 (such as period to reassemble a catchy bunk bed collection ). I had been anticipating the worst, and has been amazed with the consequences. We utilized stevens according to a recommendation from my brother in law who employed them to get a military movement.
Avoid this business! Transferring from WI to CA.
My family has had to withstand many motions since my army career. In our experience, this will be actually the worst moving business up to now. After reading all the reviews on line, it appears I am not alone.
On day two of packaging, I overheard the motorist ask the obvious boss,”If we tell him regarding the dresser?” The boss only shook his head no and then looked at his shoulder to find out when I noticed. This team was dreadful. The boxes Weren’t clearly indicated; they ruined my walls and flooring and forgot to package several things then whined about having to package them.
They picked up my merchandise on July 17th with a”contract” delivery date of August 1st. Shipment was not delivered before August 17th. I am able to understand a business being 3-4 days late, it occurs, however more than a month late is unprofessional and ridiculous. Getting shipment upgrades from this provider can be a joke. The only moment I had been upgraded on if my delivery”must” arrive is if I phoned them.
The shipping team was also a joke. They whined about unpacking the boxes (it is at the contract) and strove to provide many things which didn’t even belong to me (I’m sorry for whomever that they really do belong to). In addition they had a 15 year-old child working together. While this young guy was very considerate, he had been always shedding my poles and I even caught him throwing one into my kid’s bedroom that comprised a lamp. Total I’ve eight ruined parts of furniture. Four of these are completely ruined.
I am evaluation Stevens two celebrities for the time being. I’ve a feeling after All of the real estate damage paper job is completed, I will be dropping down the rating to a star.
P.S. Do not fall to the”We’ve A score from BBB” announcement. The Better Business Bureau is a joke today. Their evaluations are skewed by now that the organization has been discharged and complaints not being tracked up causing them to be shut without fix. Stevens has experienced 19 official complaints over the BBB at the Last 12 weeks and 44 at the last 3 Decades.
DO NOT USE THEM! Truck was packed on July 24 moving from MI to CA now is Aug. 11 and HOPEFULLY products will be here tomorrow. Was told we’ll be rewarded for accommodation and expenses and meals with receipts..we have observed other folks getting $100 daily for reimbursement. . .this is all AFTER we had been advised that our load has been obese and We Must cover an additional $3500 THIS IS AFTER a salesmen went throughout Our Whole Home, Garage and Lose and gave us a quote. Yes we did subtract and add a few items along the way but our FIRST and Original Estimate was really HIGHER than the real transport quotation!!! I can’t think a Moving business can Beneath Estimate by $3000! Then after coming in California we tried to contact salesman for final payment so that we can get cashiers check prepared since dispatch was presumed to be sent between Aug 1 and Aug 5 that he eventually got back to us after 3 times gave us closing amount of over $11,000 and advised my wife to get corporate on expenses for annoyance. Though we appreciate the tiny amount for compensation how about also looking at the GROSSLY underestimate of the transfer itself!!
Not sure which component was worse. Might it have become the discount given to brittle furniture that has been pointed from the business once they did their first site survey? Every bit I pointed out as requiring special attention came broken. Is it the fact I was advised the day ahead of our scheduled delivery which they would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00am just to telephone them at 9:30 on shipping day to figure out they had no idea when they’d arrive but it’d be no sooner than that day? They showed up at 4:00pm! Possibly the strangest part was that a day-laborer showed up in our home without warning searching for a man named Freddie. Who’s Freddie, you inquire. He had been the driver of this truck which had not came yet. They essentially hired three day-laborers to overthrow our truck. Not one of those three were physically capable of accomplishing the job. Boxes have been dropped. Walls were gouged and scuffed up. I left one man sit down and drink water since he had been going to pass out. In addition, 1 man just got out of jail a few days before (he supplied that info ). We also loved that they kept discussing how fine our home and all our things was. Obviously that I slept in our unpacked house that night to be certain they did not return. I might have hired men from Craigslist to do a much better job. Think about the fact that they were assumed to partly unpack our material and reassemble the furniture? They did not. Then we’ve got the claims section that”knew” how dreadful our transfer was and responded by stating our $1500 classic curio cabinet was worth 250 since they saw one which offered for a few crazy low cost in a discount. FYI… I discovered comparable curios selling for up to $2400. This is a HORRIBLE experience and I wouldn’t ever employ nor recommend them to anybody. If Stevens want More Information on the expertise feel free to find my contact info about Claim #13-65017.
I’m still mad with Stevens, a year after our movement. While I read the last review, I believed that I must also write on this board to state that Jim is accurate. The claims department is quite dishonest. I compensated for complete insurance and got nothing to get 2 pieces of furniture that they ruined. (The driver even admitted that they ruined them.) I won’t waste my own time in re-telling the entire narrative. I’d just recommend that people find another firm. Do not use them.
I moved with Stevens since I wished to encourage a local business within Saginaw because the headquarters dwell their. I was very excited as what they advised me sounded great. They chose up my things about the 31st of might and it’s currently the 24th of June and they haven’t any idea when my things will also leave the warehouse!!! I am quite appalled! We adored from MI to Phoenix. Our items have not even left their warehouse. Their explanation was that they’re more people moving from this country then moving in. . .isn’t that why they’re in the moving company??? To figure out the logistics??? They said NO. . .their task is to receive your thing outside of your home on the day that they said they want, apart from that the remainder is null/void. Mind you, I have that response from among those OWNERS! Best to simply do Uhaul or even Penske in which you know when you’ll get them. Nobody will see to your items as great on your own. Certainly they do not care. I haven’t been the kind to write a review but I’m bound to warn others. The majority of their testimonials are poor and now user why. . .shame on me for not reading the testimonials! Do not make the exact same mistake!
I’ve always been scared to let other folks handle things which were precious or meant a good deal to me personally. But after residing in a house for several decades, you will find yourself with some collecion of extremely important items. As it was time to proceed, I seriously had composed the concept of employing a moving company, and could manage the move by myself. After starting the process of packing my items, realizing just how long that was carrying me, then recognizing that I had been want a plumber I phoned Stevens, they did a genuine great job! My final move was quite bad and that I was fearful. They packed all sorts of things. They called two weeks prior to the movement and 2x each day during movement. Office staff really pleasant on the telephone Truck was older but well preserved and they filled things all of the solution to ceiling. They worked all day and took only a few breaks. Parked the truck very near home and then put plywood down on sidewalk and carpeting in my flooring. They even packed the beds at a box. The cost was a litttle greater compared to other firms but they replied all significant concerns. In addition they proposed insurance that I didnt hear this from anybody else. The general cost of the entire move (like all extra services and packaging materials offered from the moving business ). Was actually worth the price. Information about stolen or damaged items along with the claim procedure. Ronnie the motorist kept asking me how it was about and I was happy.
Cannot say enough about the movement Stevens supplied if we moved in Michigan into Sarasota, FL. The sales man, John, gave us a quotation and was professional through. The afternoon before our relocation , we received a phone in our driver, Jerry Hunt, to inform us when he’d arrive, give us his mobile phone number, time of birth, and reassure us he’d be liable for our relocation until sending in Sarasota and we can call him everywhere.
Jerry and his wife Julie came the following morning with John and in the minute they came, we knew these folks were experts and we did not need to Be Concerned about something. They secure our House to Prevent harm, inventoried everything together with me, and then wrapped up our furniture to Prevent harm. They never expressed impatience once I questioned everything.
They remained in touch with us and each Product arrived in Excellent condition in Time. They took greater care of their house than we all did and I Cannot say enough about the professionalism we supplied us. They were fantastic.
Brenda out of Stevens Corp also remained in touch with us to assure we had been having a terrific move.
We were scared going to this movement Once We watched a Number of the testimonials on moving firms Generally. This is our experience and I’d utilize Stevens again daily in the foreseeable future.
Stevens provided a packer to pack my ex-wife’s personal effects. The packer waited until I was out of the room and stole several expensive pieces of jewelry. A police report was done and found that the packer had 3 priors convictions for theft. Township elected to attempt prosecution. A letter written to the Stevens CEO received no acknowledgement and there was no attempt at restitution. This is not a reputable provider.
The worst going co I’ve ever utilized. They ruined a part of furniture I had just sold for a $1000. This was Nov. 7th they still have not got anything settled. The worst customer support I’ve ever handled! Can NEVER recommend or use that firm again!
This firm doesn’t offer decent support. Inexperienced delivery guys (two of that were hired by a temporary job service for your afternoon ). The price of movement was far overpriced once they fudged the burden & requested for $1000 more. Items damaged & missing, noted by motorist & visually scrutinized by a moving servicves inspector. Approx worth $700. The end result for lost objects was that a tracer was set out and they had been not able to find. Claim refused! Damage things. Claim refused.
You’ll be lied to & cheated by this business, beware!!!
Stevens Worldwide Van Lines – that the purpose of the review will be in hopes that other people don’t need to experience the encounter our loved ones did by doing business using Stevens Worldwide Van Lines of Saginaw MI. The business bidding on the move, dependent on the quotation we given them the transferring occupation. Within times of dedicating them the buiness they raised the cost of the movement saying that our move will maintain their”peak period” although the date of this transfer never shifted by the time of this quote. After we complained they said if we consented to their high cost they’d provide us a”guaranteed not to exceed cost” that could”lock at the price tag. This also turned out to be only yet another untruth. They charged our credit card to get the extra $1,551 within their”gauranteed to not exceed Cost.” As though that Bait and change pricing strategy weren’t sufficient, the movers imputed to our occupation proved completely inexperienced and unskilled. They put our bedding from the dirt from our lawn, our mattertrees were ripped and torn from where they pulled them around the sidewalk. Ourboxes arrive smashed. The firm required seven days to deliver our things out of MA to OH and informed us if they’d be delivered rather than consenting to a scheduled supply date. That is a company to prevent no matter what. Run!!
We were told we’d likely get our things LAST Friday. We signed for a flat (so today we’re paying lease ). Then we were advised no later than Monday. We then were informed that our stuff was still in Kansas since the driver bailed about them. They had no idea once we’d get our things. Then we have been informed its looking as it may be the week. We inquired about an Inconvenience assert being that our substance was sent late, it took 2 weeks and speaking to atleast 6 unique people and receiving 6 distinct tales about what they cover. My children continue to sleep on the ground, Im paying lease to a flat that they advised me to buy but I dont even have my things. The customer support is dreadful, but they won’t return your phone, have horrible approaches, provide false info and may care less about your loved ones. They need me to cover for the most affordable piece of crap pots/pans/air mattresses/linens and then just claim to refund 50 percent of the price since they possess’Extended Use’. If I needed a bit of crap air mattress or part of junk pans and pots I’d already own them. If I already own fine beds and fine pans and pots why do I need piece of crap bits that Im not going to pull out and use again. We continue to sleep on the ground because Im not coming from pocket to get something that is certainly not going to work with again. This business is definitely the worst I’ve ever dealt with in almost any area and its not even near.
Worst move I’ve ever needed. The salesman came into our house to give us a quotation. He analyzed all of our things. The movers arrived and hurried packaging. They broke several things and marked my walls up! Once they unloaded they put each one of the boxes at the incorrect chambers and put a great deal of boxes from the garage. We basically had to transfer them ourselves. They then called and said we owed an additional $900 to get additional weight and glass. I phoned and explained that we’d nothing new and that we ought to have been accounted for exactly what we’d like. They did nothing to solve our problem. Their customer support is horrible. They’re dishonest. STAY AWAY! I hope that I’ve saved you a few headaches!
I discovered Stevens about the BBB listing as a rated company and also not certain how they got this score. I made Austin TX to a Monday with a guarantee my delivery could be in Florida by that Friday. I sat around all day long in a vacant home out of Fri-Sun calling at least 25x with no return callsfor. The next Monday, somebody finally picked up the telephone and when I stated my name that the phone went quiet. Finally I heard a voice say”We’re sorry. We didn’t wish to phone you back since we didn’t know exactly what to tell you” -Incorrect Answer! He then said that he didn’t understand when my delivery could be there and they’d need to return to me but he would begin in inconvenience maintain form and send to me. Simply speaking, the shipping showed up much later than hauled, just two people showed up to shut, boxes were filled up with things from many different areas of the home (boxes tagged kitchen were filled with bedroom things etc)and after that my claim was finally denied. I had been told that they delivered inside my two wk window within my contract. Consequently, should you not mind being listened to and wasting your own time, spending additional time moving boxes near to the appropriate places to unpack and moving throughout the frustration of filling their claim out paperwork once you won’t be compensated-Might not be a poor option. Oh – Nearly forgot- fretting about 6 things but they don’t need to hear about that…. Jason-
Though our representative (employee name eliminated by company request) was quite professional, another Stevens Van Lines agents were untrained subcontractors. They did not appear or telephone the day that they were supposed to (Richard needed to put them down) and then arrived unannounced induced me to miss work. They then (and by they I believe a single man and a child cousin) threw everything randomly in the home, broke a couple of things, and missing others. We paid a top cost for expert support and obtained less compared to other movers provide for $3000 extra cash. We were compensated to your damage/loss but obviously Stevens makes enormous profits as opposed to hiring actual movers and bringing on their advertising promises. The truck was old and beat up and broke down in the home.
