    Long-distance move from Belleville, IL
    Horrible xperiemce

Spark Moving Business picked up my possessions on June 19, 2019,where time I informed them that I did not require the 30 day free storage since I’d found somewhere to reside and would enjoy my items delivered whenever possible. Fast forwards this to August 20, 2019, I have spent the past two months calling and emailing the business simply to be relegated to over and over again in my delivery afternoon. Now I also found out that I do not really know where my stuff has been saved because first they said it had been Belleville Illinois, then I had been informed it had been Chicago Illinois and now today once I asked for the speech because I believe that the next step is to employ a truck to go pick up my items today they say it is in Belleville Illinois back again. I’ve asked the address of this storage facility that’s holding my possessions and have been advised that they would return to me within a few hours using that speech. The contract says that they have 30 business days best to provide my possessions… Now makes industry day 39. After giving me untrue delivery dates and clinging to me over the past couple of weeks now today they simply frankly say we’re sorry we do not have some advice for you. It is difficult to think that I really paid this business to pick up my possessions and now cannot make them complete the job. And just like the rest of the reviews that I’ve purchased I said that Upon delivery I’d owe them an extra $1000 bucks because I’m to think that my possessions weighed 2000 pounds over I anticipated However they also say that they have no weigh tickets to show that. So what do I even do in this circumstance? Continue to await my kid and I to get my possessions, having spent an whole summer in a vacant home in a brand new city 10 hours in the house that we moved out from? Or attempt to employ somebody that could lease a truck and move load my items and deliver them to me personally? Can I think this corporation will also meet this individual which I hired to let them pick up my items? Although I have already paid $1500 with this movement that has not occurred well they attempted to charge me more? I mean of course I deserve cash in return now. The number of times I’ve called this organization and been advised that the supervisor isn’t readily available to talk to me is absurd. Feeling fairly dire.

    Long-distance move from North Carolina
Part of the national moving rip-off racket

I never intentionally hired this provider. I hired a firm called American Moving & Storage out of FL and they shipped these men out of IL and NM to my location to pick my stuff up.

They came 9 hours late and insisted that I sign a sterile Bill of Lading, telling me that they could not understand just how much the transfer would cost until they finished loading the truck, but could not begin loading the truck before I signed up the sterile form saying I would pay anything it came into.

At 1am I eventually signed it once I had been told I might likely get back the money I paid the agent (AMS) since they gave me incorrect info. I had to leave the following day, so actually I was only accepting an excuse to sign to receive my stuff going, because it was not like I could find another inspector before I needed to vacate.
The wound up charging me nearly two times as far as my initial quote, while not carrying the washing machine or even sleeper couch! They even charged me $100 money to ditch the couch somewhere for me personally, because I could not abandon it at the home but they stated they could not match it to the truck using another pickup they needed to create. (In retrospect, they probably kept it and later sold it.)

You can read my review of AMS (the agent that hired them for my own transfer ) for much more of their general move information, but to stick only to Sparks’ function, they neglected to deliver about 20 percent of my possessions and many things were broken. In addition they utilize Bills of Lading (BOL) contracts which aren’t valid in the country I was going out, New Mexico, since the fine print font size is simply a third of that which state law demands, they do not provide you a copy of the BOL in the time of pickup (or afterwards ), plus they do not supply the three day cooling off period for door to door sales. This became door to door sales whenever they mover started negotiating cost and things to bring with me.

I have shared this information together but they dismiss it. They haven’t paid me for missing or broken things I itemized nor confessed that their”contracts” are invalid. However they pass those invalid contracts on to another movers, that provide the things, and need much more money out of you, waiving the invalid contract because their evidence you owe until they will return your possessions.

I needed to phone the police to receive my things back, but then that’s another mover from the series, those Sparks Moving & Storage hired.

Notice how this works? You cover every one and at every step they could say it was not them that did you wrong and they can not fix anything.

Should you use this particular plumber, and end up being charged more than your initial estimate by more than 10 percent, or end up with broken or lost items, you can go through the motions of calling them for remedy, but just realize that ultimately any remedy will probably come out of the disputing the charges with your lender (that you can not do if you gave them a personal check) and submitting a Transferring Fraud Complaint together with fmcsa dot gov (a portion of the Dept. of Transportation) and the FTC (Federal Trade Commission). Take some time and get it done!

And make a review here, on Yelp and on Google Reviews to attempt to guard others.

    Long-distance move from Hiawatha, IA
    Moving Experience and Customer Service

Each piece of furniture which came to my flat was either gouged, scratched, or broken. Two boxes along with a floor lamp have been dropped also. The stock record was missing things which were never recorded. The movers showed no concern for the state of the things, and also attempted bringing in boxes which didn’t belong to me personally. I was never awarded that a Bill of Lading because I had been advised. All I have is an image in my iPhone of this very first page of this Bill of Laden. No follow ups to call calls even when talking directly to employees. I wouldn’t recommend your organization to anybody.
