METRO VAN LINES..RUN AWAY!!!! SCAM ARTISTS

On 4/30/2012, Metro Van Lines played a transferred for me in my house into a personal Storage Unit. Regrettably, I was over charged for your services. Metro Van Lines didn’t carry out the ceremony well because many items were left behind and unpacked. Additionally, after shifting my things I discovered a couple of broken dishes and ruined furniture. Furthermore, I didn’t get the $50 reduction I had been guarantee and that I also was billed twice for the 1350 trade. This led in two 3 percent advantage fees because I paid with a credit card.
Initially I was given a quote to transfer a two bedroom flat a entire period of 4 hours plus a cost of $900. That is detailed on bill W655760. I had been told by the agent Tracey that the quotation comprised 4 hours of labour, all packaging materials, 1 free month of gas, storage, disassemble, reassemble and instant stop. I was also assured and another reduction of $50.00 for early booking that is included in bill W655760 made on 3/21/12.
After my products had been loaded onto the truck I had been advised from the movers that my total would return to $1350.50 and when I didn’t pay they’d put my items on the road. When speaking to the sales rep while the movers were still in the flat she confessed to quoting us wrong and said if we needed to make it cost less we ought to catch up and help load and unload ourselves. The foreman advised us to cover 7 hours totaling $884.00 following the $150.00 deposit. After getting in my car to run an errand the supervisor called and informed me it’d be an extra $464.00 plus they’d throw my items on the road. So I agreed to cover the $464.00(Which included a second 3% convenience fee)
I was charged a total of 9 hour through which one hour that they didn’t operate in any way. This was while I attempted to find the invoice settled.
Please avoid this company in any way costs. This is the worst going experience of my entire life!!!

    DO NOT USE EVER!!

They hook you up with a minimal cost and end up charging you far more than anticipated. Movers attempt using packing material they do not even have to have to be able to bill more.
Attempting to dispute a fee, the secretary had been quite impolite, the supervisor was all of a sudden not there for many days. The operator wouldn’t lat me speak with the individual who initially sent me the deal, she even hung up on me once she understood it is me calling again for the fee dispute. They even didn’t respond to a complaint I filed with the company agency.

Customer support is quite low as soon as they receive your money, possibly a bit better before to be able to secure you in.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!

Walked out on my after outrageous charge, THEN CHARGED my credit card $300!!

On Fri.. June 3, 2011,” Metro Van Lines initially came to my flat saying they could not locate the skillet. I told them just where the pier was, but then the driver said to me personally on the telephone”Good luck with your transfer. Have a wonderful day.” Then wrapped up. I promptly called the company to complain, just to be spoken with a really nasty and unprofessional girl who wouldn’t offer me her name. I delivered my loved ones downstairs into the pier, and if my family memeber went down to meet them until they left, they had been creating a U-turn IN THE LOADING DOCK in order that they could depart. Initially, I had been advised by the firm my entire transfer cost could be 365. I put a deposit on the telephone using my credit card of $73 that is equivalent to a hours work, then I had been left with a balance of $292. I got an email and phone confirmation of the figure. I even called two weeks later to validate the cost of 292. Once my cousin fulfilled the movers in the loading dock, then the movers arrived to my flat and said a few things required to be wrapped, like the couch and love chair, mattresses, etc.. I began registering some papers together with him and then he told me that my NEW complete was approximately $987. Instantly I said I couldn’t afford to cover that and to please get somebody on the telephone in the business so that I can talk together about this outrageous volume. Then he called the company and told them that I wished to cancel. I told me that I NEVER said I was cancelling, I just wanted clarification about the quantity he had been quoting me and that I wished to discuss the sum I had been told I needed to cover, that was 292. The inspector told me again to”have a wonderful day” then walked outside. I followed him down the hallway trying to determine what was happening, attempting to comprehend why they were departing, and requiring the newspapers back which had my touch. He refused to provide me my documents, but we chose out the papers his hands and we needed to phone the police because he refused to provide me exactly the carbon copy of my charge card. As soon as I got back inside, I checked my bank accounts and they’d ALREADY billed my credit card $300. I called the company and they said they billed me a cancellation fee, even once I never cancelled, then the girl hung me up. After a couple calls by myself and my loved ones, they were also hung up on also. I am currently disputing this bill with my credit union.

    Terrible Service!!

Please don’t use this business!!!!! Buyer beware!!!! We had been quoted a cost of $700 to get a transfer 10 minutes off. When they finished, they nickel and dime you for all. The whole cost was $2181.00!!!! When we assessed the itemized statement, when were billed over $1000 for packaging equipment. They even used tape on a number of the boxes we already taped securely. After we called the company, they have been rude and condescending. In addition to this, we made arrangements to cover, and they completely ignored the agreements and filed the charge card announcement ASAP. We phoned the company to determine what happened and they continued to be rude and dumb. Please don’t use this comapny if you don’t only need to get treated subhuman and eliminate cash in addition to cash!!! Matters were damaged and broken to top off it. An individual would presume that $1000 worth of packaging material would have retained our items in tact.

    SCAM!!

I had been quoted a cost of $750 after having an acurate account of my own things to be transferred. The day of the transfer my moving agent beginning in adding in”packing fees” and that I had been billed $2079. These fees weren’t included in my quote. They fees my 90 alone in tape. The movers also struck a halogen lamp. The movers also left 15 minutes prior to the time that they had me sign them out for along with also my moving agent stood over me and asked that I submit an application a review. In addition, he suggested I give him a 20% tip to the greater rate.

    SCAMMING COMPANY WITH THREE NAMES

We hired subway van lines, they quoted us low over the telephone for 834.00 and if they arrived and packed up all our things except the kitchen that they changed the quotation (that’s ILLEGAL) into 1503.00. After we called the company the women were nasty, scummy and black. They confessed to quoting us wrong and said if we needed to make it cost less we ought to catch up and help load and unload ourselves. That we were already doing. In addition they said if we didnt’ like it that they can stop it right there unload the truck in the old location and bill us the cash anyways. With just a little study (too late) I discovered that this firm has an F rating and can be revoked on the better business bureau site. 56 complaints in the past 36 months. Pathetic I know. Though they still advertise that they are proud members of the BBB in their .org site. I’ve read many individuals with exactly the exact same story as mine. They’re LIARS AND FRAUDS. They function under the aliases Metro Van Lines,Personal Touch Movers, and best time movers. DO NOT USE THESE COMPANIES THEY WILL SCAM YOU.

    Long-distance move from Maryland
    Complete Scam

We hired Personal Touch Moving and Transfer from Rockville, Maryland according to a fresh BBB report without any strikes Online signaling an issue. The quoted price was reasonable ($760) because of our little move of half an hour.

On the afternoon of this transfer, the firm which demonstrated up has been Metro Van Lines, and from Rockville, Maryland.

As we had to proceed on such a day, we didn’t consider this an issue since the driver signaled the two firms worked carefully. The driver assured that the movement will be with no difficulty.

Since the movers started loading the vehicle, we started to get an uncomfortable feeling that something wasn’t accurate. I inquired concerning the price of this transfer, I needed to ensure that the price was consistent with the quoted price of $760. The driver wouldn’t offer a firm response, constantly delaying till he’d loaded as far as possible on his truck.

Evenutally, I’d prevent the man from loading anything further until I obtained assurances concerning the price tag. He finally gave a last cost, that was over $2,200. Most the prices were $1,200 for”packing material”. Afterwards I contrasted the actual substance used to retail costs in local moving companies also that I had difficulty coming at a complete price of over 150, retailstores.

After he’d my HHGs, a lot of it but not all, about the vehicle, the driver stated he’d be pleased to unload the vehicle. I inquired concerning the price if he unloaded the vehicle and that he explained, without doubt, $2,200.

The driver wouldn’t eliminate the HHG in the vehicle or send the HHG to the new address before I gave him a legitimate credit card. In addition, he suggested if we didn’t offer the card in the instant he’d only drive off. That didn’t appear sensible because I don’t have any doubt that the business would have additional exhorbitant storage charges that would have only compounded the issue.

Under the conditions, I had the motorist send the wealthy HHG to this new speech. As we’d stopped the driver from loading anything farther, a lot of the HHGs, that were contained in the quotation, weren’t transferred. My spouse and I spent two unhappy days going the HHG ourselves.

I think Personal Touch might be a site utilized by Metro Van Lines into disquise the real business and conceal the numerous poor internet testimonials about Metro. I seen Personal Touch speech and discovered it for a office building. I didn’t observe any moving resources, like a truck.

I’d strongly urge prospective customers just avoid both of those companies at all price.
