I would never ever use this moving business again even though it meant carrying my possessions one bit at one time in my own back. They had been a day late picking up along with the new owners were going in as we were being moved out. They had been 12 days late delivering to our new residence. When they eventually arrived our possessions were in another trailer. When they eventually arrived we had been told that they wouldn’t start to unload till we signed up receipt of our products in the state they had been picked up and paid them in full. We’d be billed by the hour for any delay we triggered. To add insult to injury harm resulting to an insurance coverage of $22,000! There was and is still an outboard boat engine overlooking. There wasn’t an area of furniture in our house that escaped shocking damage. I expect that anyone that intends to proceed sees this inspection before they devote for this corporation. There was no communication from them (actually ) at the time we spent agonizing over the whereabouts of those items we valued so highly. We believed that we had been held hostage at this business, and to this very day, are traumatized.
I’ve moved several times across Canada and also to the Southern US and have not had such a dreadful experience using movers. After waiting 19 times because of my possessions to arrive, there was serious harm. Among those things to be transferred was a baby grand piano for that I paid a top in the pickup location and delivery area. There were not any problems in the pickup end. After the movers came to send, they had been not able to acquire the piano to the home because there were just two men. They understood exactly what they had on the load, and yet did not provide suitable personnel. A piano moving firm had to be routed to receive it at the home and reassemble it. They did pay this price, however, the piano sat at the garage (moist – not great for piano) for another 4 days. Among those things shipped was a classic clock. I asked regarding the packaging of the clock in the pickup place and was advised that it had been correctly packaged. The box has been labeled brittle and arrows indicating the top. The clock came in approximately ten bits, and all value it had is now gone. It was nearly 200 years of age. I cried. A huge painting was also shipped and the framework was broken in many places. The painting was completed in 1913 and this really will be actually the first framework – over 100 years of age. Insurance coated nothing. After handling the situation for more than 6 months and several telephone calls (always place on hold, maximum period was 45 minutes) I’ve got a horrible response from customer support stating”you do nothing”. Even the 45 second hold time was completely unreasonable and once the rep (Sam) eventually got on the telephone, he explained how busy he was and totally cut off me. Communicating with this organization is non existant. Very impolite and if you believe that could possibly receive a dime out of a claim, then consider again. READ THE FINE PRINT. The contract was made to never, ever pay anything to anybody ever. I’d seek the services of a pack mule to move my possessions until I’d employ these clowns. Quite unprofessional and uncaring. Your stuff isn’t anything to them. They’ll handle it however they’d like.
Pickup was about time but my merchandise had been held for a month until they sent them (verbally stated they were heading out that week however it did not occur ). I kept phoning and eventually after a month that they sent my items and when they came they had been ruined. A queen Ann composing desk has been blasted at the corner rather than useable. I am going to need to get a different desk. A 3 foot figurine was totally smashed and as soon as the blanket was removed I found a thousand bits of things used to be a costly figurine. Considering that the value is about the burden and there’s a massive deductible, I could not put into a claim. It will cost me $1500 to send items that came scraped or unusable and it cost me an additional $1000 to substitute them. I wouldn’t ever recommend this organization. They did not put any effort in to the wrapping/care of the items or the managing since they moved it about through the lengthy period they’d my items. Do not use this business!
Horrible dishonest support. They hired our move out into a different firm and did not tell us. This other firm ruined the majority of our things and has been extremely late in coming. After we registered our complaint, they provided us $200 to walk away gently. They’d destroyed a 45 year-old piano, our master bed framework was water damaged, we’ve got bits missing, toys lost, dents and scrapes to our furniture which were coloured in using a sharpie. Never again will they receive my serviec and I will tell everyone we know not to use them and why. I never got an apology to our damages and that I needed to pursue them each moment.
We’re still awaiting our stuff out of Toronto to Calgary, 22 times up to Now and the company Doesn’t care that we have needed to cover hotel, food and things for our home when we did proceed in. They stated 7-9 days and it’s been 22 and we are Unhappy. When I phoned them the man in the workplace (supervisor ) laughed and said if we will not cover the amt because afterward we will not get our things. He had been a TOTAL [EDIT]. Totally unprofessional = the worst business I have not ever handled.
Hope this can help as it’s tough to get a moving company to hope that I spent hours checking up on firms making telephone calls and asking a great deal of questions. I pick Pacific West and that I was extremely happy with my movement they had been on time, specialist and more significant everything came undamaged. . I simply used their support again and same results.I trust this helps I know if I ever move again I wiill utilize their support
Pickup was 4 days after adding another four days to delivery so 8 days after our possessions arrived broken, scratched, dirty and lots of boxes and also a huge mirror overlooking, with a single box holding valuables passed down in 3 generations. I’ve been emailing & seeking to phone the business to be paid & to possess the lost boxes returned. No replies No answers Nothing. The afternoon before the truck came I had been emailed the last equilibrium & requested to get a certified cheque prepared, the equilibrium was already $200 greater than consented but then driver needed a balance which was high & refused to unload the vehicle before we paid the gap. We phoned the company to allow them to clarify the gap & they were rather rude & obnoxious stating I simply had to cover the differnce & when we didnt truck can push off with our possessions. Blackmail all of the way. If they unloaded they have been rushed & revealed no regard for our possessions simply dumping them down where they believed, no building etc.. My attorney said this firm has been investigated for theft as so many folks are missing boxes etc & never again hear from this business. It was a really stressful move employing this business – not again.
No complaints with the pickup in Winnipeg, the team were courteous and professional, loading and wrap things with caution. It was a really different story with this shipping. The Edmonton team wouldn’t begin unloading until we’d signed the shipping slip. They had been rushed and abrasive, leaving scratches around the walls, also needing to reassemble some of those bits the Winnipeg team had disassembled. A sofa was moist and a vest was busted, appearing like someone may have sat on it. Boxes and furniture have been dumped somewhat randomly with minimal respect to that boxes belonged by which chambers (they had been clearly indicated ), or when there was even room to start dressers or wardrobes. It seems nothing is lost.
This is actually the worst moving company ever. I had been quoted $1,200 to allow them to maneuver my daughter out of California to Colorado – a one-bedroom flat. On Friday afternoon, the foreman changed the price to $4,200. My daughter is 24 years old and is standing there with her brand new infant in her arms. She does not understand what to do besides to provide him a check for half of the money he lent her. The foreman was intimidating and yelled at me on the phone. They had been holding my daughter’s furniture hostage. They broke over a dozen things and missing a desk. The insurance claim Procedure is a scam. I spent many hours of communicating and submitting claims – they’ve ignored all of my correspondence. Don’t use this business – they’re a scam. They never meant to reimburse one penny for some of those damages or perhaps the missing table. Lesson learned. Never again.
I’d file a complaint with the BBB, DOT, etc nevertheless, I am too exhausted and that I believe they’ve gone out of business. They will likely change their name and simply start over again with their new name. ONLY USE REPUTABLE MOVING firm with an established history. Don’t be fooled by a low quote!!!
I discovered this business from web. I transferred out of LA,CA to Calgary,AB. I got excellent support from them. Their sales man Tim assisted me plenty of stuff. They did complete packing for me personally and unpacking in Calgary. As soon as I phoned them first I requested to them just how many times it takes from LA into Calgary. They explained that it requires 10 to 12 days. First I did not think it, I delivered to them and requested to them again. They stated that for certain it requires 10 to 12 days comprised custom clearence. They picked up my dispatch on April,01,2013. They did delivery my merchandise on April 11,2013. As soon as I got phone call from them concerning shipping I did not belive it. Just it took 10 times to perform delivery here in Alberta. I received my merchandise very excellent shape. Again I would like to thanks for Tim and their Ideal team.
Kind Regards
Tally Madison
Allow me to start off by stating that we’ll never ever trust a moving business again following this experience. The business came first in the afternoon and were quite proficient but it goes downhill from that point. They become a day late ( hey things happen and we all know ) they even offered to place us at a resort for the evening but we fell , they ended up accepting $100.00 from our final invoice. When they sent our things the movers were quite pleasant, and we ended on the paperwork and were so really pleased to only get our things and begin our new life in Alberta. It becomes interesting. Broken: new new television, the leg out of the coffee table, complete vertical mirror. Damaged: mobile dishwasher, classic table. Missing. Lots and lots. Kitchen Products, hammock stands, you will find boxes overlooking with lots of their things we’re still going through. Compensation: .60 percent ( really good if my television is 90lbs but prices $1400.00) $350.00 allowance we need to cover with a estimated 800 lbs of things leaves us $50.00? If that together and I am sorry from the motorist who I Need to mention was a Really Wonderful man, maybe not his fault. This is a dreadful experience, anything actually we had the business move that has been worth cash and costly was ruined. I shall pass this along by word of mouth to. Never ever ever ever will I recommend this business to anybody. We’re out thousands of $$, overlooking a lot of stuff that it makes us feel ill, we’re still unpacking and finding out more stuff we’re missing. That can be a lesson learned for us, also please make it be a warning to you, don’t let this happen for your loved ones, it is not enjoyable. Below is pictures of the television that has been ruined and dishwasher harm. I could put in a lot more of the additional things which was ruined when there was a place to perform it.
We’ve utilized Pacific west moving van line providers a minimum of two times. They’re punctual (now they arrived on time) they’re friendly, easy-going, professional, reasonably priced, and beneficial. They are cautious with their materials (they generally go furniture) and help you in figuring out how to keep the stuff economically. They have the ability to transfer things through spaces that are really tight. I strongly recommend the help of those men.
These men were amazing. They showed up just when they said they were planning to appear, walked to the flat to examine it for no longer than two minutes or so, and then got to work. They failed pad our possessions, particularly some classic dinner table seats we’ve got, but they did the work fast and economically (not sloppily). What most amazed us was that their openness –in actuality, nearly eagerness–to carry items we hadn’t actually packed with boxes or who were just lying loose (like books). We had been thinking about taking them ourselves, but they thankfully loaded it at the truck. They came in the new location quickly and instantly place to work. They were earning everything so quickly that we hardly had the time to consider where to let them place it (that is great )! I must also state that stairs have been included in every place. Despite potential issues like our colossal couch and big bird cage, then they maneuvered through that which readily and economically. In addition, I like that they immediately reassembled the mattress on arrival.I ended up paying exactly what I had been quoted along with some hefty tip. I will also add that it is a thing of a spur-of-the-moment movement, and that I discovered Pacific West Moving Van Line MUCH more accommodating than several other movers we’d considered.Highly, highly advised.
