We left a big movement from Atlanta, GA to Santa Clara, CA. We made the major mistake of picking Economy to provide our items. First problem is that we finished the online program and obtained a quotation which has been way under the true cost. Upon arrival of the movers our quotation went upwards from $3200 to $4300. That left us in a rush to determine whether to cover the large growth or to immediately choose what to leave behind.
We had been with no furniture for more than a month before ever getting any company details about the shipping of our items. The worst part for us was the fact that we travelled a month with outside specific requirements for our 4 month old kid. Economy had hardly any sympathy and concern yourself with that and only calculated a miniscule $225 refund from a $4300 charge. Even though the delay was debilitating, it might have been more bearable had the lines of communication remained open. On two occasions, I called to confirm the status of the shipping. Both days, I had been told that they would return my phone at 30 minutes after information was obtained. Initially , I waited an whole day before phoning back to be informed it should be sending that weekend. It was a lie and so I needed to call back again a week later only to receive exactly the identical outcome of waiting on a return telephone 2 hours when they said I need to hear back in half an hour. As though moving across state was not stressful enough, we have been struck with this bombshell of subpar, janitorial support.
Even though the employees were favorable, this firm is well below specialist. I would strongly recommend anyone intending to create a move, short or long, prevent Economy Van Lines at any cost!
