    HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, STAY AWAY!!

We invest over $10K in complete delivery material from Shanghai to San Francisco, double. Unfortunately we don’t have any option where logistic business in US we could use but Contour since they’re the partnering company with all the Chinese transport firm. You will find glowing reviews because those delivery/shipment did not ran into problems, such as what we experienced the very first time. But should you run into problems, which is exactly what our the 2nd time delivery is, this firm is the biggest nightmare and dreadful to manage.

In their official site where you sign the shipping form, it suggests 7 completely free day storage when things arrived in the warehouse. However, it doesn’t include California, per Bennis, 1 guy I spoke to on the telephone states. He was being apologetic on not adding that at the proper doc. Excuses me ? How can client confidence you in the event that you do not compose in clause and just how can we know whether the business is just making things up to scam more out of their clients? 1 day I simply find $100 pop up from the accounts without ANY prior communication or notification.

If you call and request upgrade, they stated”I’ll call you back.” But from 30 times I predicted, just twice I got phone back. I totally lost confidence on them just for that. Also once you speak with various men and women. They assert various items and give you different answers.

Eventually when things are delivered, there’s a major cage missing. It took them 4 business days and they still claim they have not found it. Again, even when they call them, different folks says otherwise. Someone says yeah we discovered it but another emailed me stating they’re still searching for this. So I can conclude, there are lots of incompetent and lairs in worker.

At this time they probably don’t care about negative testimonials any more because most clients are using them without even needing options because of oversea shipping venture. But expect this offer some insights to those who have options to browse away from them.

Moving goods from Portugal to USA

Everything moved smoothly in Portugal but we had no option over delivery in the boat to our house in Connecticut. After we examine some negative reviews of Contour Logistics, which has been a Realtor that is designated, we had been frighten. It was a wonderful surprise: connections were professional. Emails reacted immediately, all questions answered. Yes, there was a delay in shipping however they don’t control habits and other logistics. Ultimately the furniture has been delivered by two most pleasant and cooperative guys we ever encountered: grinning, eager to assist, professional at what they were doing. Many thanks to the work well done. Five stars!

    Business Office Horrible/Delivery Great

The company office was totally dreadful. They are delighted to speak with you if they need money but refuse to return emails or calls when you need an upgrade or clarification on the reason why it takes 30 days for things that have already cleared customs and therefore are in the warehouse to be sent. In addition they charged fees which, in my estimation ought to be paid for by the first charges (stairs and asserting the walk into the doorway was 75 ft ). The delivery group was brilliant although they refused to place boxes where we needed them to place them since the boxes stated otherwise

    Stay away...extra $4500 charge

I am in the middle of a nightmare. Choosing shape logistics has been the greatest mistake I’ve ever produced.

The container has stopped at customs and”randomly flagged” to a test (a lot of this material which I saw on line states that”arbitrary” often times means”container coming out of your shipper with a bad foundation.”) It had been ceased on december 18th along with the examination was not done before the 27th. We’ve been waiting since then to listen back and that week we’re advised that we owe an extra (!!!) $4500 (!!!) For the examination, demurrage prices and shuttle charges.

Possibly the most crucial part of the entire ordeal is the manner that these fees have been recorded:

    $450.00 – Shuttle Charges
    $130.00 – USDA launch
    $3,797.85 – CET Exam Charges

As it was contested the examination cost so much, the answer was so that the CET examination fees included the demurrage costs (prices for being held in the interface for more than 4 times ) and that these fees generally cost between $125-$200/dayper cent A [EDIT] quote? You send me an invoice for an additional $4500 for the dispatch, and it can be a month overdue, and you do not even have the frequent decency to ship it itemized properly????

The examination itself prices less than $1000 I equaling via google. . .would be good to have an itemized invoice that tells me especially though.

I don’t have any clue what might have been done otherwise (strain on test happening quicker, inquiring port for specific considerations as vacation time probably delayed, obtaining results quicker following the test that has been performed over the 27th) however I do not intend on sleeping till I figure out and before I receive justice. Throughout that moment, I guess that these crooks will attempt to maintain charging us for storage charges or another charge.

    Overall garbage.

Moving couldn't have been any easier

Outstanding support! My items came yesterday and we were thrilled with how in which the company stored in touch regarding shipping dates and occasions. I was most impressed with both gentlemen that delivered the merchandise and weren’t just swift and extremely respectful but also very proficient in managing our items. We can not praise the business enough.

    Container goods from overseas

Approximately 3 weeks ago my moving in Europe into Florida has been performed by Eurogroup (totally terrific business ) and that I guess they associate with Contour Logistics. I had been anxious about my materials being delivered great from the container and out of Miami into the West Coast.

What a nice surprise. Not just the container arrived without any problems whatsoever but additionally Contour Logistics did a complete excellent job. Their customer support was quite great and Marvin and his collegue created the birth of my products equally as easy as could be. Terrific men, certainly friendly, nice and helpful. They certainly made my entire day and apart from 1 little broken (vinyl ) bit on a seat, all of my products were delivered just good.

Thank you very much for this terrific experience. Thanks Marvin!

    Costs and more costs

No. Nonono. I hired a wonderful mover in London however they partnered with those men in the united states. Only the worst. The only moment I really catch them on the telephone was when I had been paying for yet another extra cost they arbitrarily tacked on – yet another $150 to get a flight of staircase, $1500 to”expedite” my dispatch so that it may arrive at seven months rather than 10. The only great thing was that the UK group packed my things so well… just a few broken products.

But seriously, people. My transfer was designed to run around $3500… I paid nearly $7k!

    Stay Away!

STAY AWAY and let my story be a lesson for you. My narrative of global move trumps another horror stories here, sadly. I have transferred from Sydney to San Francisco a few years back using Pickfords (an Aussie company) and it was completely nice and quick for sea shipment. Contour Logistics would be the local representative for this movement, and they did not figure out how to screw up stuff (I think they just hired a third business to perform the shipping ).

SILLY ME determined that following this that Contour Logistics are still an OK firm, and if I was going back in March 2016, I contracted them to transfer my things back to Sydney. WRONG DECISION!

To supply you with a TLDR – it has been 7 months by now, my stuff is STILL NOT HERE.

Despite quoting me sending from LA to Sydney, as all other wholesalers on this route proceed, they shipped my things SF->NYC->UK->AU and their AU spouse is some type of cheapskate firm with interstate deliveries just a few times annually, so I’m waiting when (if?) They provide the dispatch from its existing place in Brisbane (Queensland, a nearby state) into Sydney”end of November”.

Contents of this dispatch was largely books and household products. Of course after over half a year I purchased everything I had and will most likely have to send the majority of my SF things into the skip once it arrives, or market on eBay for peanuts. Makes me regret I did not just junk it all when departing SF.

Hilariously their boss(?) Alex Vayner rang me a week back, after I shipped them yet another email threatening to sue them globally and promised that by the end of the week I will have if not the merchandise then at least a certain deadline of the impending shipping. Guess what, he never called back.

    Dude, where's my stuff?

As my personal effects eventually came in Australia — over two weeks later promised — I will call this kind of comedy of errors instead of a nightmare. The brief version is that my dispatch left the States with pretty much not one document required to clear customs in Australia. As soon as I began asking Contour queries, I was flat out lied to or told to take care of the shipper (FedEx — that had been incredibly useful, the specific reverse of Contour Logistics).

I tracked the shipment myself and found Customs clearance has been held up due to a deficiency of a commercial statement. I pointed out this to the Agency, who said they had resubmit. They seemingly had never submitted one in the first place, and that which they eventually did submit FedEx explained was insufficient for clearance. I finally had to function with FedEx right to offer the essential paperwork, including files Contour Logistics never informed me were documents and required which I had already provided them, but that they never passed on to FedEx, for example, permission for the shipper to finish Customs clearance for me personally.

One of the files never supplied was a Customs declaration demanded by Australia for unaccompanied personal effects, which FedEX — maybe not Contour — supplied and helped me finish. Contour’s justification was Customs had never needed the kind before. Really? You must complete a statement if you get of a bleepin’ airplane in a different country. The explanation lacks all credibility.

Contour’s mindset once my dispatch has been picked up by FedEx was”out of sight, out mind.” Pretty much all of the answer I got from Contour was leadership to take care of FedEx directly. Excuse me, that is why I compensated movers, so that I would not need to.

Ironically , they had been less expensive that the other movers from whom I hunted quotations, but provide the frustrations and the whole lack of professionalism exhibited by Contour, I suppose I got what I paid for. I’ve asked for a partial refund guaranteed in the event the shipment was postponed. We’ll see if it comes to pass. Meanwhile, avoid Contour.

ALWAYS READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY

Upon entrance of my possessions from Australia, I had been billed extra fees for”USA Customs Tests” to whom I asked for evidence of documentation which I never obtained.
This provider told me that the charges were to pay the price of these supervising the tests to guarantee nothing was ruined and boxes could be repackaged correctly.

Additionally, I took out private time in my job to take the coming of my possessions that was canceled because of car breakdown and then again a rescheduled delivery date supposed more lost time once they finally did send a day or two after.

When my possessions were being unpacked on shipping, there were two boxes that were possessions and possessions falling out around the area. They did not really supply the support they had been assuring to my expertise.

I’ve requested a refund from the provider for all these reasons to which they are denying some fault of their own.

If anybody is considering relocating – don’t utilize www.contour-usa.com

    Saturated shipment

Contour Logistics must be the worst transport company I’ve ever handled. I’d take if goods become damaged since that occurs but my family goods were obtained in the vent to the 16th April 2015 and abandoned out in just what the shipping driver explained as someones back yard in Compton, California. My merchandise remained there till pickup and shipping on May 28th.  My products were totally saturated with bugs coming from the rat and boxes falling in certain boxes. I might pour the water out of a number of those boxes that they had been that wet. I contacted John DeMarcello to describe the circumstance. He had been silent smart with me to the telephone till I confirmed that my goods were left out in the rain for more than a month. His attitude immediately changed and that he immediately referred me to somebody else. He wouldn’t respond to any additional calls or emails from me personally. WHAT A JOKE !!! Fortunately the first pickup was via an organization in Ireland that coordinated the insurance for me personally. Just for that I think Contour could have abandoned me out of pocket. My advice would be stay away from Contour Logistics in any cost. Its simple supply a Affordable rate if you shop peoples products outside.

Items stolen, destroyed, and fake insurance

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – THEY ARE INSURANCE FRAUDSTERS!We employed shape for our transfer out of Boston MA, to London UK in 2014 – 15. During the process they ruined and destroyed nearly all of our possessions – two cartons were stolen indefinitely. After we obtained them (two and half a year late) at London the warehouse team and we had been appalled at the status of our items. We jumped to document insurance claims, nevertheless the bought insurance via Contour said we had been fully covered for all damage and loss to owner packaged things, nevertheless they omitted a few pages of their coverage through the sales process that nation proprietor packaged items aren’t insured. We’ve discovered that we’re not to be coated for whatever. Here is the case although we’ve got it writing that They’d protect us from over 2 members of Contour’s staff.   Through the process they’ve postponed us for a while, lied to us, and we’re currently in the process of ridding them in smallish Claims in PA, even because they’ve refused to form out our claim. They don’t care about their clients, and I’d recommend all in the place of transferring or logistics to avoid this company in any way costs.

A Company unable to honor it's promises

If I could offer this business zero stars I would.  For our transfer out of Tucson to New Hampshire, I obtained their quote and it was directly down the center of the other firms who’d given me estimates.  I looked at reviews online and created what I believed was a educated decision. I signed up paid my deposit and also expected their arrival.  I was fairly shocked while the day before they were scheduled to come back and pick up the things they called and stated that the date did not do the job for them and that they had to return on the subsequent Monday.  I put down my foot and they weren’t happy but they stated they’d be present to find out our items as scheduled.  Imagine my shock when they arrived to load up the truck and it was two million dollars.  I must have run crying at the point, however as my husband needed to be on his brand new project, I felt as though we actually had no option. They picked up our belongings to the 13th of the month and people requested that it be sent to the first of the subsequent month, over fourteen days to reach our destination.  We had been assured by both our sales contact along with the guy who fulfilled the truck that with that much intervening time there wouldn’t be any trouble having the truck there on time.  I paid an additional 1800 bucks to get them do the packaging. It had been so frenzied that I did not have enough time to oversee all of the packaging and if all was said and finished exactly the packaging set was illegible and that I was not convinced that all was packaged. About three-quarters of how through the guy in control of the packaging told my husband that there had been more boxes they then anticipated (exactly how is that my fault?) And refused to place any more things about the vehicle. I had to contend with him to find the remaining items about the truck such as my wedding gown that they were not likely to carry. If that truck hauled off I knew that I was tricked, but there actually wasn’t anyway to escape it. On the 27th of this month that they called to inform us that our items were only leaving Phoenix.  No possible way to allow them to possess this to New Hampshire from the 1st.  After we complained they advised us that we signed their contract along with their contract provides them 21 days from the date that you ask delivery, that is 21 DAYS!!!!! , to secure you your items. Our error was to think what they said rather than exactly what was written.  I acknowledge that was our error. After we complained they advised us that”you signed the deal” and provided no help beyond that.  After our stuff eventually came they shipped a team of just two people to unload the vehicle.  When we advised the team that they would be unable lift our classic player piano from the truck that they laughed and said that they could.  11 hours after they had all unloaded however the piano.  Approximately half way through the transfer I called the customer support line and whined at just how long it was taking them to overthrow the vehicle. Their representative cried at me and accused me of being habituated to how this is a huge move and they had been doing the best that they could.  Admittedly she had been correct is was a massive move (two million dollars bigger, which they understood ) and they ought to have delivered a bigger team, but the team they did ship functioned at 40-minute increments; 40 seconds on, 30 minutes to smoking.  For a complete service moving company we’ve hauled a number of their very own boxes in and put up a few of their own beds.  They left a single bed to the front porch without so much as taking it in the area in which it was likely to be.  They took charge in full until they began unloading the vehicle and also at 9:00 at night that they wanted to push off and return another day with more aid.  It is possible to imagine how miserable we were in the concept of these pushing off using our piano once they were paid in full.  But there was not anything we can do.  The organization was educated about this piano.  I’ve emails revealing that there was communicating about how thick it would be, however, in the long run, it did not matter and then they drove away with it and we had to expect they’d return the following moment.  They did return at 7:00 am and hauled out our home before 10:00 am when extra aid came.  It ended up being a joke.  They had no clue just how to move a piano.  I’m convinced that my four decades old might have planned it better than that which they did. I paid 1800 bucks extra for packaging.  There were a number of things ruined ( not pleased about any of this, but clear at a cross country move) but that I was fairly surprised to discover my glass dishes packed on top of my hard drives along with my Kitchen Help packed in with my 2 flat screen monitors. Please, please, please people, avoid this business. They aren’t likely to care when you’ve got beds to sleep on.  They do not care if they split your own stuff. They do not care if you’re on a budget, and they have zero regard for the time.  There are loads of different businesses on the market.  The firm I used goes from USA Transferring and First Choice Moving.  Please I have discovered the hard lesson plus you can just take my word for this, they’re creeps.
