Initially, I had been optimistic that the mix of some locally represented moving firm (Beltmann) along with the tools of a nationwide company (North American Van Lines, aka NAVL) could result in a smooth moving experience. It didn’t! The employees that did the real packaging, loading and unloading failed good, however that wasn’t sufficient to cancel the conflicts, lies and issues with the two offices. The brief answer is do not use either business, if you must use either one please bear the following in mind. NAVL isn’t your spouse within this movement, but they’re there to safeguard their regional partner. A example of the security is when NAVL researched my argue against Beltmann they reasoned that,”Beltmann said that they did nothing wrong.” This has been the extent of the investigation. In terms of Beltmann, get everything in writing, however insignificant it sounds! If you obtain it in writing, then they may continue to keep their sentence. If you do not have it in writing, then Beltmann is lying to you. Beltmann may also indicate that a few things be daunted with a 3rd party specialist hired by these. Word of warning, the 3rd party is a expert in creating crates, maybe not in packaging. This usually means that the crate must produce the move nice, however, the contents are another issue. Depending on my experience I wouldn’t suggest either business.
Wish I’d done more research on the business; Beltmann Group from Stone Mountain, GA.. Expertise was dreadful from sales/move coordinator/packers/movers and ultimately delivery; We had been sold a bill of goods by their own earnings man; he promised he was accessible 24/7 and knew the strain; if he and his office individual were needed that they were no where available; Poor communications and lies and deceptions from everybody; discovered when truck came which was too little they do not possess their trucks but rent them; one of the employees walked on our white carpets with black sole sneakers and forced”hatch” marks over all our carpets; their response was their own claims dept. would need to take care of. We were settling following afternoon; I made arrangements to find carpeting cleaned that afternoon; they might have cost us tens of thousands more but didn’t care! Kitchen table wrapped in blanket was ripped and seemed thrown onto its side; shattered leg away upholstered seat; we’re overlooking several things and were told with no tags they’re not accountable; we’d photographs, proof of purchase and’d bought full value insurance; today they’re saying they’ll pay our claim as we’d agreed but oh, wait, there’s a last invoice we owe first; our transfer has been Aug. 2019 and we’ve never got a statement saying money was owed with this movement — but today we spend money until they’re going to settle a claim which it required two + weeks to agree and which we believed we’d settle only so we do not need to manage them ever again. Our products had been picked up in 2 shipments — the next choice up was day before home payoff; they always came late; constantly with truck too little for occupation;last pickup they couldn’t get everything on; proceed coordinator/sales completely useless. We’re still finding things which are missing even after we filed claim, likely tens of thousands of bucks, but they state no decal # too poor! Do not rely on them if you appreciate your household products along with your sanity; it will cost more than its value
We utilized Beltman to transfer our items out of Atlanta to Portland. What a dreadful experience. The driver unloaded our things to our home as fast as possible, without any respect whatsoever for harm. Matters were scratched, broken, bent. He asked him to please be more careful but it wasn’t any use. He just continued to function with same amount of carelessness that he did earlier. The biggest problem, however, was found at the conclusion of the movement. The most precious box in the whole dispatch was a stolen either by the driver or you in case his loaders. And the worst aspect of all this is there’s simply no recourse to get circumstances such as this. Beltman desires nothing to do with resolving this, and they wish to point their finger in the insurance carrier. The insurer does nothing, we’ve heard nothing regarding the trace of the lost things. All the time, their workers publicly steal from clients because they know that could eliminate it.
Cost was raised double ($1500) AFTER binding contract has been signed. Mattresses weren’t crated and so were lost and damaged. Refusal to refund for boxes which weren’t utilized but had added fees for. Upholstered furniture has been stained. Glass shattered. Ensure that you take images of the whole moving process, nor try to clean or correct any thing your self or you won’t be in a position to submit a claim!!
Terrible move. Contracted NA VanLines ( Beltmann from Atlanta). Day of transfer Allied Van comes with Allied mowers. Disaster expects. Larry the sales man lied over and above, communications didn’t exist, so you need to search for answers. In terms of customer support, it doesn’t exist. As soon as we proceed in, solutions we contract didn’t appear and we’re still attempting to have a refund. Excellent luck with this. They dropped merchandise, damaged goods, and didn’t honor the client.
If I desired Allied I’d have contracted Allied but had poor past experience. Had high hopes for NAVL but ultimately went down the tubes together with Allied.
My recommendation: Never seek the services of this corporation.
Our move went really well. The driver said he’d maintain AZ on Saturday morn and then he had been still there on time. Billing was to get the projected quantity, no hassles.
