    Long-distance move from Alberta
    Deeply Disappointed

Deeply frustrated and let down through a really stressful and difficult moment. This is a massive move for our loved ones. We proceeded across the nation, from Alberta to Ontario, also had all of our possessions put in storage, with AMJ Campbell (18552 111 Avenue) for 6 weeks while we seemed to get a new house. AMJ Campbell packaged all of our houses possessions and they had been to unpack our possessions at our new residence. We ended up moving to our newly constructed residence in April, 2020, throughout the ordeal. The timing was quite stressful and we requested AMJ to make our possessions and we’d unpack all of the situation (the pandemic). It took us a time to unpack and get settled. A number of our possessions were ruined and we had been creating an inventory of those things on the way. My spouse was in regular contact with Larissa and Don in AMJ Campbell and they advised us all to”take the time” in filing this record of damaged land. Upon filing our listing, we had been advised that we have been passed the 60-day time limitation??!! We voiced that we were not informed of this time limitation and in reality, provided that WE were performing the unpacking and awarded that the exact unprecedented occasions , we had been advised to”carry our time”. AMJ Campbell (Don and Larissa) and Atlas Canada (Debra) advised that our record of damages had been filed 48 days beyond their mandatory 60 times and”because of this (that they ) must diminish accountability for (our) Record of Claim”. Transferring through the pandemic has been quite stressful and we’ve dealt with a number of compassionate companies during those tough times. AMJ Campbell/Atlas Canada is most definitely NOT among those firms. They aren’t an expert, reliable or compassionate business.

    Reliable and efficient.

Moved things from Calgary to Kelowna. Arrowsmith who’s contracted out by Atlas Van Lines from AMJ Campbell has been the very best mover. I’d certainly suggest them. They showed up first. They were composed and hard working gentlemen out of Arrowsmith that works from BC (about the staircase ). When they fell off things in BC, they allow me to know precisely when they were coming. They kept me informed and they did a super fantastic job!

    No Compensation for undelivered items

Fundamentally have been awaiting since Nov.2019 (it’s currently June 2020) for reimbursement about $2000 value of equipment and machines that wasn’t delivered. I’ve been advised that since I signed off to the enormous quantity of paperwork on moving day (that I’d reluctantly and under the intense stress of the move) I’d get NOTHING. That is after I had been advised to itemize and cost everything I had been missing. It took an whole day in a hardware shop which was be a gigantic waste of time. Why did they need me to do so when I was not likely to have reimbursed?? I think they’re more worried about insurance premiums compared to cu stomer gratification. I doubt 2000 is a terrific amount for these but it sure would be for me personally because during Covid-19 I’ve been not able to work so how am I to substitute them?

    Move Vancouver to Victoria

Just finished a transfer in Vancouver, BC to Victoria, BC throughout the Covid 19 pandemic. The business contacted me over 24 hours to walkthrough a list of my contents so as to fill out the quote. They kept regular contact before the afternoon of the transfer itself to ensure that I was prepared for the movers.

The movers showed up on time and so were friendly and quick. My 2 bedroom condominium was packaged within 2.5 hours, including a complete wrapping of all furniture. No harm done throughout the load.

The following day the movers again showed up on time and took just two hours to load all of the contents to our new site. Friendly service without harm again about the unload. We monitored each of the stock and everything was transferred as requested.

We’d happily hire AMJ Campbell again if we will need to perform another move.

2 months, full price paid, not shipped and no news on our stuff

This is roughly AMJ Campbell London (ON). Global transport Canada into Europe. Two months later giving our merchandise into them we hear no news about shipping or loading. We all know we might never obtain the merchandise nor obtaining insurance reimbursement since they may make excuses to drag this on forever. Surely why if they deliver today that they received the complete payment. Stupid me.

    Very unprofessional and rude

Among the methods to understand a fantastic company that actually cares about their clients is the way they react to opinions. I’ve carefully read the answer to testimonials through this firm, it had been full of: blame-game, rude, unprofessional, witty and threatening remarks. I’m not surprised, since this reveals exactly how they’ve reacted within my communications with them and my experience together. Therefore, I will not go into the particulars of what occurred and what didn’t occur, as, I will probably receive the identical reply and will probably worsen the circumstance. I will just do what aggrieved clients do – next time for my business elsewhere, not to suggest them to anybody and dissuade anyone who would like to utilize them. Period!

QUOTE AND INFO MOVING NOT ON PAR & MISLEADING

I’m rather disappointed in the way my comprehension of the real quote was to be. . .Totally misconstrued to say the least… concerning journey time being inserted from Calgary to Red Deer… WHY WOULD I ASSUME THAT I WAS PAYING FOR ADDTIONAL 1 1/2 HRS WHEN I WAS NOT TOLD IN LAYMAN TERMS??? APPARENTLY I WAS LEFT TO PRESUME THAT I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN; BY THE REP MIKE ROOKS… A TOTALLY BAD EXPERIENCE AS TO THE two LOADERS/MOVERS… VERY UNPROFESSIONAL TO SAY THE LEAST!!! WILL NEVER RECONSIDER USING AMJ AGAIN. . .EVER.

Excellent service and smooth long distance move

I recently transferred from Niagara Falls into Montreal.

After exploring various moving companies I first chose to proceed with AMJ Campbell- a agent for Atlas Van Lines.

From all of my research and reading reviews I honestly couldn’t locate any businesses which didn’t have adverse testimonials.

It is a tiny minefield and you’re making a leap of faith to a specific degree.

I enjoyed the fact they’re a long established business and have offices at the destination town.

They were not the cheapest quote I purchased but not the greatest either

I dealt with a broker located in Oakville and that I feel the movers themselves are located in Mississauga- John Dorego along with his colleague who is name sadly I do not remember.

The broker did an onsite review for the quote.

He was personable enough but did locate him very hard to manage later – that I had to really push to have details about the quote, insurance and the entire moving procedure – he was not in any way educated.

I had been given a quote of 1850 predicated on 1400 pounds.

Since it was a little movement I had been given a delivery window of 10 days.

The transfer really came in below quote after it had been weighedagainst in the area of 1500 and the shipping was made two days following the movement out.

There were several challenges with the condominium construction procedures – they needed to work fairly fast to float.

I was rather impressed with the two of those movers- that they did both the load from Niagara Falls and the reigning at Montreal.

    They’re professional, friendly and efficient.

Everything was sent and nothing ruined

Overall it really could not have gotten better.

    Zero accountability

The great. AMJ Barrie’s storage manager. Yvonne at the Workplace. The movers themselves they were superb.
The dreadful. The sales woman underestimated by 30 percent. Zero followup and job administration. The director / owner. No followup. Promised to return a number of calls. Eventually got a poor to call.Offered an excess employee. Didn’t occur. Too much money with this shoddy organisation.

    Local move done stress free

From our very first communication with AMJ Campbell through into the previous handshake with all the movers, our expertise on this particular team was nothing short of excellent! Having gotten into the point in our own lives where spending our buddies with pizza and beer to move our things just didn’t make sense anymore, we achieved to a couple businesses to estimate our in-town transfer. Kyle came out armed with understanding and a grin, and was patient with all of our queries. He outlined the way the transfer day would seem, what we had to place in cartons, and also everything would stand outside, and put our own hopes for timelines and price flawlessly. There were not any surprises on go day, the men showed up only when anticipated, and also worked their tails off into conclusion (in the rain no longer ). You will find multiple occasions throughout the afternoon where my spouse and I explained to each other…’worth every penny’. Can not thank AMJ Campbell’s staff enough for carrying what might easily happen to be the most stressful day of this season, also turning it to the simplest house transition we have ever experienced.

Outstanding move from Ottawa to Montreal!

Evidence that I had such a terrific inter-provincial proceed encounter with AMJ Campbell Van Lines moving business from Ottawa to some March 2019 proceed to Montreal is that this inspection is coming from so late!! Here we’re months later in, and I have been too busy loving life due to its movers that got me here! My Agent had been Kyle Deschambault, however he had been more of an Angel. He remained flexible and patient with me since I needed to transfer my date a few times due to a few glitches with the Montreal flat. He had been the 1 continuous who guaranteed me that a stress-free move from first recon of the possessions into closing bill. This type of specialist, gentlemanly team of 2 cared for the flooring in the Victorian apartment I made from Hintonburg since they proceeded everything quickly and at no time flat. On the opposite side a few days afterwards, the exact suggestion was phenomenal together with his guys – as one girl, I loved him taking good care of some bothersome superintendent who did not need to book the elevator for me, nor allow the front doors available to your men to load their paychecks. I could expect that the AMJ Truck Lead to remain calm, and be specialist as he breathed all of those very important components for me. His expertise, elegance, and smarts shone! Absolutely over-the top-service. Everything was sent professionally without defects. My tough job in the CBC in the time demanded that I get setup and quickly – that the men made certain of the. I was still settling into my house in almost no time, having experienced a brilliant experience. Don’t hesitate – reserve these people. Thank you, AMJ Campbell!

    Terrible experience with AMJ Campbell

Terrible experience with AMJ for the grandma. Movers hardly completed their occupation, rather than at all the way she requested for/was advised to anticipate. She reduced to get the movers unpack and they left everything in boxes piled to the ceiling. A number of small furniture pieces were broken on the way. They had been swearing and being impolite and unprofessional during. They left their job stuff from the hallway of the brand new condominium and did not come to pick them up for 4 times. On top of all this, they billed her nearly double the initial quotation. She strove to remedy the problem by providing this place a telephone and has been met only with exceptionally bad and competitive mindset.

After phoning the head office in Canada, they guaranteed they would cure the circumstance. In the long run , they gave her back a very tiny amount of money and guaranteed movers could come at a particular period to help move a few of the things to her storage device – they did not.

And to top it off, this was just a transfer from 1 neighbourhood in Victoria into a different, therefore if they can not deal with this, I am not certain how they are supposed to manage moves into distinct cities/provinces.

    Steer clear of this company.

    Scammers

I had been provided a verbal quote for my transfer over the telephone. No one seen my things. After items were on course the adviser called me to state my transfer wasn’t in the quote of 2000 bucks but it was over 5000 bucks. I wasn’t provided a bill or some other official records with this massive price. I tried to call a lot of people in AMJ offices seeking help and aid with this. The adviser basically said you cover or we save your belonging and bill you. I had been completely unprepared for this price of over $5000 bucks. Eventually I had been contacted by proprietor Tom. . He proceeded to inform me how important he had been in the business and then conducted down me personally And called me a scammer and also a part of work. I had been shocked Tom consented to reduce cost to $4250. This wasn’t much of a reduction or help to me personally. Feeling helpless and sabotage I paid this sum to get my merchandise. As a client I was completely impressed by the unsupportive and violent dialog. The adviser contacted me to return to her workplace. As soon as I came she asked for my credit card and touch. I explained I’d already paid the quantity and rid the fees on the card. I asked a copy of the bill and official weight records. I was lead from this workplace. These records came from the email. These revealed the price of my transfer wasn’t around $5000. The burden was over my estimate. But maybe not exactly what the adviser told me at the telephone call. This also reveals a balance due to $532. I had been given an agreed cost by Tom, why have I got this extracost? I’m not proficient at discovering weights. I had no clue what the weight of my move was. The quote given was a scam to receive my small business. There was not any help provided to me, after there was a issue for me as a client. I’d contacted the advisor many times by telephone before to pickup to talk about weight estimate. I made it obvious I had been worried about prices. I didn’t understand what things considered. The adviser was reassuring and convinced me that there would not be a issue. At no time has been an estimated delivered outside to estimate a price.
I got my merchandise; damaged and broken. Appears the movers filled from the bill on move day together with numbers beside all, saying each and every thing transferred was ruined. This wasagain a scam against me. I signed this not understanding what these amounts were. So I have nothing to return on to maintain damaged products. I had been ready to transfer products for $2000. The products moved weren’t worth more than that. I paid $4250 to proceed, received damaged products plus also a bill for an additional expenses.
This was a dreadful stressful situation for me personally. As a client I’d expect more support comprehension and a better support based on AMJ site. I had been scammed and abused when I contested AMJ process. I’m shocked at this circumstance and the absence of respect and support for a client.

    Dishonest and irresponsible

My family needed a washer and dryer delivered with AMJ Campbell after buying it in Best Buy. They showed up on time with the right item. Aside from that. . .it wasn’t a fantastic experience. They found the washer and drier have been set up in what I’d anticipate could be a fair time. Later, they switched it onto some seemed things over earlier telling me what is completed and will be currently in working order. I took a peek and trusted that this to be authentic. Roughly 3 months went by and we all had a concept on our brand new drier stating that there was a air occlusion and also to look at the port behind the drier. I pulled out the drier and revealed that the ground behind the washer and drier had standing water and my baseboards (MDF) were totally burnt with water and stained. I immediately moved to the storage area underneath my laundry area that was in the cellar and discovered that water has been tucked in to my floorboards and purposely leaking to the cellar through existing pipes spaces which were running up to the washer and drier. Drips were continuing as I assessed what was happening. Now , I pulled out the washer and noticed a path of scale at which the water was leaking and on the ground each time we used that the washer the prior weeks. I instantly went out and obtained a wrench to twist that which was clearly a water link that was not suitably installed. I called Best Buy who advised me to shoot pictures and also a claim together was launched. A few days afterwards (I forget precisely how many but suspect 3-5), I got a call from Scott Finlay who had been requesting to come and assess the harm. Scott showed up and inquired about the problem when taking photos himself. His images were now at a time after I’d ceased the dripping and cleaned up what I could. Watermarks were still available on all surfaces and the baseboards were still completely bloated beyond repair. He advised me that he’d be sending everything in and that has been about the ending of it. He had no difficulties with my assumptions or claims also when he did he didn’t verbalize them to me. Now, weeks after, I get a letter stating the claim has been refused. Reason giving was that they believe that the harm wasn’t done through neglect of the shipping group. Furthermore, they stated that since I signed up a form saying that they didnt cause some damage during shipping which it somehow absolves all their escapes that occurred as a consequence of the bad setup. In summary, they’re saying they’d nothing to do with it. In order for this to be accurate, I suppose I’d have needed to have desired to take an entirely damage-free laundry space and then loosen the link to flooding it in hopes of obtaining a promise to return it back to how it began. Can this make some sense? There’s absolutely no denying that this has been the consequence of poor setup but I suppose they refused it anyways. I have currently called AMJ twice as to talk without a reply so here we are. They eventually called back and explained that I then initialed I would assess the links following the very first wash. We did this and that there wasn’t any notable H20. This wasn’t the consequence of a washer spraying around. It turned out to be a slow trickle that generated harm with time.
Last, the employees themselves were unprofessional in cleanliness and appearance. I really don’t wish to have too personal so may make it at this. An extremely unforunate experience I will now should escalate via Best Buy or authorized procedures.
I would avoid AMJ Campbell Winnipeg in any cost.

    DO NOT USE

We utilized AMJ to maneuver our loved ones since they were the”preferred vendor” for the own company. Major mistake. The packers absolutely made a wreck of my things showing hardly any care for anything of worth. We discovered multiple boxes where matters were just thrown it and slamming against each other. Things like a two dollar plastic hairbrush will be wrapped separately but they had tens of thousands of dollars worth of power tools banging against each other for 6 hours. The business contact explained that anything broken could repaired or replaced at my petition, not the circumstance. We had been provided much less than market value because of our items which were broken and were just offered mend if was less cash than replacement. Not a fantastic policy when you’ve got anything of sentimental value gain broked, such as my wifes dollhouse that they ruined which was handed down from her now deceased grandma. Save yourself some aggravation, call somebody else.

AMJ Campbell was great, no issues

Huge thank you for Steve Matt and Niko. We transferred from Mississauga into Belleville. Powerful, courteous, attentive and just great men and women. Stressful for my spouse and I. They made it simple. Looked at different moving companies and choices, happy we picked AMJ Campbell. Would recommend to my friends. Perhaps not the cheapest, but as the expression goes….professionals aren’t cheap nor will I expect them to be.

    Would not recommend

We’re optimistic for a stress organized and free long distance transfer when we finally pick AMJ Campbell after carefully studying testimonials. Recognizing that no business is ideal, we paid the premium cost (nearly double most moving businesses ) because we had been occupied and wanted the piece of mind that came with a”reliable” moving business. The pickup in Vancouver was seamless and our sales rep was good. We had been provided a delivery window of 15 days that was long but clear since we had a bigger movement. Following two weeks of no communication, I called to follow up prior to our final shipping day. We had been advised the delivery would occur outside of our bonded window and just after pushing back and following up with numerous telephone calls did they find a way to satisfy the previous day of this window.

The motorist came >two hours following ensured window. He had been horribly rude and stated he was only doing the movement for a favour and didnt need to be there. They didn’t deliver a dolly, nor were they aware of how to load an elevator. I wound up carrying >50 percent of my own boxes together with my loved ones help to make the transfer happen.

I had been quite disappointed with the movement and after following up with Atlas Van Lines (I again had to call and then follow up after not hearing for >1week) I had been provided just a 10% settlement.

In general, very frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly advise attempting another organization or wanting a less costly choice to save yourself the invoice.

    Calgary to Ottawa

I’ve proceeded with AMJ Campbell several times in the past 4 Decades, Ottawa to Edmonton and then Edmonton to Calgary. Consistently competent, professional, helpful. Recent movement from Calgary to Ottawa was smooth as silk. They packed, moved and moved everything as promised without a play. Really nice and good-natured. 1 problem with a microwave which has been accidentally moved was dealt with smoothly and without fuss. Tara and Amanda quite responsive and pleasant. I will certainly call them again for any future movements. Anne McGrath

    Local move

I had an area relocation, the men that came to transfer me were fine, even though the company didn’t ship a huge enough truck so that they spent too long attempting to load up the truck by positioning things and even though I was totally prepared for the movers and’d really sold big parts of furniture following the quotation that they no longer needed to maneuver, my transfer required 16.5 hours rather than 11 hours. Nothing was broken however, it was 5.5 hours much more costly than I nominated as the firm sent the incorrect size truck. Not happy!!!

They did not make their problem our problem. (Ottawa)

This is the second time we’d used Atlas Van Lines in 2 decades since we’d only moved into a different Ottawa home. It was a tough beginning as their truck broke down enroute into our home prior to the transfer. They obtained a lease and got on with the project around 30 minutes later than anticipated.

The crew just stopped for a single morning fracture and one day break in the half an hour that they worked unloading and loading our boxes and furniture. A variety of 5 cu/ft packaging boxes was provided by AMJ Campbell before the transfer. They wrapped our seats and couches before loading with cellophane and attracted covers to our beds and box springs.

We’d highly suggest Syd, Tony and Arnold to another move.

    The worst Movers

A entire nightmare. Two men to move a two bedroom to 3 bedroom. They ruined every second thing they touched. They have been poking through my things and requested for a few products. They didn’t transfer all things into my new location and put a great deal of things in my front yard.
They left lots of my things in the area I had been moving out of so that I had to return that evening and call a different moving company to transfer them. I’m missing things. Never again!!

    Relocation

We moved a week in the Brampton area into the Waterloo Region. From start to finish, no difficulties. No harm to the house we moved from nor any harm to the new house we moved into. And equally as important, there wasn’t any harm to some of our furniture or possessions. Alda, the relocation advisor was professional and provided quite a few suggestions that could make our relocation simpler. The quotation was reasonable also. No surprises about the last bill. The four movers we had were good guys. Professional, hard working and did not stop moving before the job was finished. Mike, Calvin, Marcus and Daniel….you men are the best! We’d utilize AMJ Campbell’s services again and would highly recommend them according to our expertise.

    AMJ Campbell Ottawa sucks

I had been given a quote for a local relocation. I have done all of the packaging myself and needed all of the boxes I packed numbered and recorded. An extremely detailed itemized list of those boxes and all furniture has been awarded to AMJ Campbell. They got other information before providing me the quotation like the amount of space, the staircases, and availability into the driveway. The quote I had been given was $1,860 which comprised the charge to drive to my home, load the truck, send my items to the new home and unload the truck. They had been at my home early in the afternoon and 3.5 hours later everything was loaded and then they drove into the new residence. They broke a ceiling fixture at the old home that had to be substituted. After they had been in the new home it was just like they had been different men. I noticed the men became really pokey. It took them 6 hours to unload the truck that was incredible considering I’d less staircase in the new property. They ceased for a single hour to consume but from those 3 men only 2 of these were performing any work. I stressed because I knew I had been billed by the hour. The bill came to $2,518. A 35% increase in comparison to the quote I had been given. It required nearly double the opportunity to unload the truck than it didn’t load it. I’d have believed loading could require more time as things will need to be packed from the truck. Unloading is just pulling out the furniture and boxes out.

The bill brought me a great deal of difficulty believing I trusted the worker when he explained that the estimate is always quite near (within 10 percent ) to the true price. Moving is quite stressful and this added a great deal more anxiety since I ended up having to borrow money to cover the overage. This wasn’t a nice experience and I wouldn’t recommend this organization or use them ever again.

    Never again

The intial walk through seemed professional that they went throughout the home and looked at what we’d subsequently sent a quotation in a timely way. Everything went horrible following that.
    1. The transfer date was to be April 15th we booked 6 weeks ahead of time. They contacted us a month earlier stating really the 15th will not do the job for pickup since they do not work Sundays. They need to have assessed the day of this week prior to sending the quotation and having us sign the contract. Fortunately we were elastic.
    2. We had been told anything which could not fit in a ship with no the TVs could be disassembled, reassembled or packaged. We had been to offer the mattress covers. We then discover that the wall artwork wasn’t contained and we ought to buy covers to them along with the initial cost.
    3. They say that they do not disassemble the treadmill that was in the home the day of this quotation and nothing has been said around us disassembling it all ourselves. They sent somebody to disassemble it and broke a bit.
    4. The vehicle and driver’s stunk of cigarette smoke that I stuck my head at the rear of the truck and also smelled like they’d smoke from there however, it was likely all of the blankets.
    5. The driver walked upstairs in our house with cream colored rug, I inquired regarding runners and he stated yes we will set them down that he was just checking anything. Carry your damn shoes off afterward!!!
    6. They started not just the front door but the rear sliding door so that the home was 12 levels we’ve got a 7 month old infant so I needed to shoot her elsewhere. I know that the front door but no motive behind the trunk to be available that there was just 1 thing out to attract in.
    7. They broke a Whole Lot of branches away from the tree at the front lawn pulling their truck straight to it without a maintenance
    8. The truck was too little so that they transferred all day then had us go back the following morning to load the remainder that was stored in the garage immediately. We had been informed he hurried from blankets so that the morning movers could wrap the material. Fortunately we had loved to live with in the region overnight or we’d also have had to pay to get a hotel for the night to have the ability to return the following morning.
    9. We also needed to get the landlord and cleaner re-arrange their strategies along with also the cleaner we hired due to AMJ’s delay.
    10. This day they had been late that I called and they stated they had the incorrect address.
    11. This was pissing rain and all of the stuff was at the garage so that which close to the doorway was becoming wet but no frequent sense to transfer it in the truck initially or to someplace where it would not become wet.
    12. Well moving to the coming in Ottawa it didn’t arrive punctually as inside the scheduled time period, I’ll give them that the weather was not amazing. Nevertheless, the second load too did not arrive punctually.
    13. When they came to unload the gentleman in charge informed that the 1 adolescent not walk round the muddy yard and apply the driveway so that he would not monitor the dirt from the home. The first wise remark I discovered. Anyhow they contended out for a little and the man left leaving two others to unload every thing another young man was quite agreeable and worked his ass off to find the work finished.
    14. Many items were ruined including a huge mirror that was not wrapped with blankets as promised and a classic dresser was pinpointed together that only had the rear plate screwed back on(what sort of idiot does that?)
    15. The sole professional workers were the french men (sorry I can not locate his card with his name)which arrived from Montreal to unload the next burden though they struck our office seat since it had been thrown in without care. They built all of the stuff which the very first ones were disassembled without repainting and were effective.
    16. Ofcourse we needed to devote some time and cover for a brand new treadmill section on birth as well that is just yet another thing that I did not really need to perform with the transfer and a little infant.
    17. Overall a complete disappointment. I picked your company on recommendation by a friend but because have talked with other people that have horror stories too

Horrible Moving Experience ever and it's still on going

If you like your possessions then seek the services of any organization although not AMJ. They ruined furniture, lost valuable family photographs in addition to furniture items.Dropped off the tv the truck because we saw and then picked it up and set it back to the trolly like. . Oh well… failed to re asseble exactly what they took apart since they dropped the bolts/screw. What they attempted to asseble they had no clue how to, nor did they have the proper tools. Claimed”abandoned it in my friends truck” failed to come to move ready, no shrink wrap, no luggage for boxsprings. . Arrived late (incidentally didn’t call us I needed to phone them) and then proceeded to get a cofffee and smoke break.Broke glass onto a curio cabinet.Damaged end restaurants, buffet, shattered floor lamp, this list continues. Have been sending email following e-mail for months following the dreadful transfer afternoon and I still can’t get replacement of boxspring or remaining guaranteed cash because. It took 6 months for them to come back and fix a few of the things and that I needed to employ a separte business to re-asseble the bedroom so that my newly widowed mom would have somewhere to sleep. It was a difficult and emotional time and AMJ Cambell made it worse. They’d my mother; that had been in a wheel chair in tears as a 4 hour movement shot 10 hours. She watched in terror as the boxes indicated fragile came smashed and up side down. They dont care about there customers and possibly that is what happens when a business gets to big. I don’t write a review and I’ve been patiently waiting for this to come to a finish;but I do not believe it ever will. I picked poorly but it is my hope that this review will block you from making the exact same mistake. When I haven’t made myself clear allow me reiterate.DO NOT HIRE AMJ CAMBELL.And inform your friends not to as well. Thank you for taking the time to read and pass on this message.

    WORST MOVERS EVER!

Don’t be deceived by the sales man (in my instance, Diana Coryn) or from the good price, these folks shouldn’t be transferring people’s possessions, period. They treated my possessions as though it were crap (to this point that the wrecking team couldn’t place a few pieces of furniture back together – well, they also did not understand how to, but that is another story) and was able to mess a wall by falling a mattress frame in the staircase. They shipped me along with my 10 month-old into the shop to purchase some filler and resolve the wall myself (the buyers’ representative was coming that afternoon to get a last showing!) And didn’t even bother to apologize. The management staff is simply dishonest as well as the Canadian Association of Movers not useful whatsoever (they obviously do the job for them so do not pick your movers since they’re members of the institution – it means nothing). STAY AWAY from AMJ Campbell and ATLAS VAN LINES.

    Damaged property

I had a sofa delivered by AMJ Campbell. The delivery folks dropped the post on the floor, damaging my hard wood flooring. I’d contacted the business on multiple events to locate a settlement for the damaged flooring, eventually to be told that they aren’t responsible and won’t be entertaining any settlement. The delivery guys who sent my furniture flat out lied about the events which had occurred, even though I’d personally observed them falling my sofa.

Reveals a huge lack of ethics with this firms part. I won’t ever use their services again.

Do NOT use this “moving” company

I’m really appalled by the lack of maintenance and follow up with this corporation. I echo all of the bad reviews you see here and had an identical encounter. I feel terrible for the employees who need to operate below this business team. I don’t understand the way the minds of the company sleep at nighttime. Our stuff and house has been ruined and the firm treated us like liers. Never again. I will hope they can someday make amends for all of the individuals / stuff they’ve ruined during people’s moves. Moving is tough enough.

    Worst experience of my life

If I could rate it -, I would. Thanks into AMJ Campbell. I lost tens of thousands of dollars and beliefs in humankind. In the event you don’t want your transfer to be a comprehensive catastrophe, run off from the corporation.
I proceeded with my family out of Winnipeg to Toronto at July 2018, complete service for packaging and transferring 4 BD home. The cost has been between the maximal, following a discussions, the business reduced the cost a bit to become more aggressive, it finished with $6406. Though I’d better deals, AMJ Campbell persuaded me to go together. The packaging day was extended. Just 3 individuals worked though I asked 4 since I had a great deal of things. The shipping was overdue in 1 afternoon, the business provided a reduction of $300 that I approved.

The day of getting was a total and complete disaster.
I place all of my household gold, diamonds and my own jewellery at house in a jewellery boxes. I had been wearing on me a number of those golden objects, like my marriage and engagement rings, my grandma ring and presents from my mom, afternoon before I got the shipment. I used to put on those particular items daily. The afternoon of the getting was quite lengthy and stressful, all of the jewelry were at the boxes at the home. The movers had an access to anywhere in the home and that I could not possibly see every measure in 2-floors property. I never believed it could occur, however following morning after getting the furniture and materials, I could not locate 2 jewelry boxes with the majority of valuable and priceless things, inherited gold and silver jewelry out of my mom, my Mother-in-law RIP and Grandmother RIP, my marriage and engagement rings, my mom and Mother-in-law RIP engagement and wedding rings, and golden things my husband gave me. My spouse is but 1 kid, his mom gave me her gold until she expired.
I registered complain to the authorities. Total missing is evaluated over 27000. The business takes no obligation and isn’t eager to run any sort of investigation. They simply answered my query, saying that every one of the movers have clear criminal record, also refused to offer any supportive documentation. I’d also a painter at the home at exactly the exact same period, but he began to work prior to the moving day and proceeded to perform a second month later moving day. The jewellery went lost on the proceeding day. Nothing else vanished during any other moment. I’m heartbroken, all of the memories, all of the jewelry I’d form my mother, Grandmother and Mother-in-Law have been all gone. I really don’t understand how to speak with my mother, she is old sick woman, she worked really hard her entire life and she gave her her jewellery to stay with me. I’m ashamed to check into my husband’s face. Everything valuable from three generations of my own family vanished about the proceeding day. It occurred 2 months before, and just now I can locate a power to discuss doing it. My household pain is unlimited, this is destroying my life. I am not pointing fingers, these are unhappy facts.

The group of those movers that arrived together with all the furniture were erroneous to say the very least. They did not wrap my wooden staircase in the home and did not put runners in the start, there did not care if they cause some harm and began to assert from the start. Just after me pointing from the scrape they simply made on hardwood flooring , they wrapped the staircase and put the runners. The movers denied to re-assemble the furniture. The furniture has been just partly wrapped. Following my phone to the workplace, they reassembled just a part of these beds. The group direct, Frank, was exceptionally impolite, he yelled at me at my home before my children. How can I dare to phone the office and lead him to trouble. Just to be more clear, re-assemble was a part of this contract, so I can not do it myself. That is the reason why I hired”professionals” and also payed for your support a great deal of cash. Following a debate, I discovered that my pricey Ashley furniture and items were transferred 3 times in trailer to trailer, along with the final little trailer was to little.

I really don’t understand why I deserved such a dreadful experience, I had been really pleasant, calm and considerate with all the movers, so I provided them a dinner and drinks, among them even ate. I paid over 6 tens of thousands to get a service that was under 0.

Just after few emails and telephone calls, 3 days after, a different group camera to build the furniture.

Part of the furniture along with other substances like paintings or iron came broken and ruined. Box, rugs, desk and also a few few things are missing. The majority of the furniture has been scratched, chipped and damaged. There’s a whole lot of harm to my own king bed and king mattress, some harm to the children desks and beds. I’m upset, since all of the furniture was buy a year and half prior to the moving day, We bought a new home at Winnipeg less then two years prior to the moving day, also we spent a great deal in brand new costly decorations and furniture. A number of those unbreakable things like publications were wrapped into a great deal of newspaper, but additional breakable items like eyeglasses were jammed within little box with lots of the newspaper onto the very top and the base. I guess various packers utilize distinct system to package, or so the packers were drained by the end of their lengthy packaging day and just did not care anymore. Any ways, the majority of the boxes have been only full of all the newspapers, two months later I am still throwing away the papers.

In conclusion, I don’t suggest AMJ Campbell. This is the worst service experience of my entire life. When I moved back in time, then I would rather leave my furniture behind and not seek the services of this organization. I registered claim for several of the damaged and missing items, except that the jewellery. The police hunt is available, I’m waiting to get the results and contemplating to visit the courtroom against the business and from the movers personally for the lost jewelry.

I had been transferred from Vancouver to Seattle and that I received outstanding support. There was regular communication with the firm I want to know what to anticipate, wonderful responses to my queries had been obtained, along with the transfer itself was easy and it was a fantastic experience! Would not recommend!

My mom used AMJ to get a recent movement to her new house only 30 minutes away. While everything seemed professional throughout the movement it became apparent that something had gone wrong after we began to unpack and assess furniture. An whole box of irreplaceable possessions (china, glass & crystal) went missing and hasn’t been discovered. Numerous pieces of furniture have been scratched, chipped and dented. The movers forgot to load things on the truck leading in my older father having to push back to the older house to recover the lost things that night. My mom believed that a refinisher could be sent instantly to attempt and assess and fix furniture harm but rather she’s been put through months of mails and maintain forms. 6 months later we’re still waiting to find out exactly what recompense will be provided. Don’t recommend their services to anybody.

    Terrible Service!

So to make a long story short, cause I simply don’t have anything pleasant to say and do not need to enter a pissing war, then simply would like to pre-warn anyone considering working with this provider!
I wouldn’t ever recommend this firm, they were dreadful, customer support wise in the absence of touch to the proprietor never listening to my frustration of hanging up in my ear through the telephone, my things came at New Zealand 10 months after broken bags, ripped packaging causing harm to expensive guitars. Like many others who’ve moved stated to me, we could comprehend 4-5 weeks, however, 10-thats simply in-excusable! Expensive items packaged badly from the weatherproof so valuable irreplaceable objects broken. When attempting to conclude with this organization and find some type of communicating, I needed to contact them, never did they call me personally to apologize to the long time period, not did they ever ask if we needed to cover additional price to find container sent rather than letting it sit in damp, cold conditions in a container, that currently photos are somewhat warped, frames have been deciphered, glass cracked.
Owner of this firm had the audacity to tell me that I had been producing a narrative, but sort believe the evidence is in the pudding so to speak! 10 months, broken products! He even had the Gaul to say”well you didn’t choose the inexpensive method of moving””You didnt cover alot” severely??? Who the hell justifies this type of time period and support on that which we pay? So if I’d of paid tens of thousands more could I of becoming faster and much better support, that is dreadful!!!
And in utter frustration, even once I called, following him perhaps not apeasing the circumstance, revealing any sort of compassion, my rage exculpated and he opted to hang up in my ear, then this is very good customer support!
Upon things coming in NZ eventually, it got discovered that I had no saddle to announce as well yet again up another thread. . .The packers mixed up two individual orders so today that my mailbox of pricey items has gone into a different speech in the north west island as it was assumed to be together with my things and they would not take possession for the error made in packaging, he turned around and attempted justifying a 73 year-old man with a horse riding saddle? Absolutely degusting and that I would never ever recommend them nor use them again! I sensed after all of this we should of got some sort of offering straight back, such as even a gift card, and got nothing…
In the conclusion of the evening, be pre warned, that will be my experience with this provider! I hope everyone’s experiences are different but reading other reviews that this is not the first time and I am certain that will be the last!

I hired AMJ Campbell movers. The reason why I used them would be they transferred my daughter, who’s at the CAF in our house in Waterloo Ontario into Oromocto, New Brunswick and that I had been impressed by their esteem and eagerness to please. When they transferred my possessions, they’re educated, professional and respectful of both myself and my possessions. If they had been unsure of something that they asked me where I would like it place. They worked tirelessly and just took one brief break at a 7.5 hour movement! I’d certainly recommend them and if I proceed, I wouldn’t be afraid to utilize their services!

    Terrible communication and overcharged

AMJ Campbell came highly suggested by family and friends, and so we went together for our transfer in Ontario to New Brunswick, despite the fact that they were among the greatest quotations we obtained. We believed we had been paying extra to guarantee good service and minimal strain on the go. We’re wrong.

The evening prior to our move, I was double checking the facts on our estimate and noticed that they guarantee that a confirmation call the day prior to your move. A telephone I had not received. This caused a sleepless night, wondering if anybody was going to appear the following moment! I called when their offices started in the afternoon and was confident that they were arriving that afternoon and would call me back to confirm that a moment. Again, no telephone, so we were unprepared when the movers showed up, having anticipated to get some notice.

A couple of days after, prior to my shipment had arrived in my new house, I got an email advising me that they’d eliminated payment out of my account. They billed me $750 for shuttle service I was quoted for but didn’t prove to be mandatory. The movers loaded all right onto the truck which has been coming out here, and I verified that with the motorist. As soon as I told them, they stated they’d”look into it” and then reacted that my credit card will be reimbursed that amount. This was over 3 months ago, still no refund. Now I am paying attention on $750 that I never have to have been billed in the first place along with also the account supervisor has stopped responding to my mails.

When my dispatch was eventually to arrive at the opposite end, I got a telephone about the friday stating that it would arrive either tuesday or wednesday the next week, and that they would FOR SURE call about the monday to let me understand. Again, no telephone until late tuesday afternoon to inform me that they were not coming until the following day. (That I’d sort of figured from there, following a wasted day awaiting them).

Paradoxically, their salesman had promised us that among the huge gaps concerning AMJ Campbell was that they use their own trucks and movers, so they do not contract it out. The driver and truck that came were out of Premiere Van Lines, and they have been fantastic on both ends. Courteous, organized, they did a fantastic job. Next time I’d contact them directly and bypass AMJ Campbell completely.

    Terrible Company

DO NOT USE THEM FOR YOUR MOVE! We moved with AMJ since the salesman was really thorough and educated but once our relocation date came, they came 1 hour late and it went from bad to worse as the afternoon progressed. I got an email in the Ops Manager daily prior to telling the staff might arrive between 8:30 and 9am the following day and from 9:30 if they had not came I sent an email to inquire where they were just for him to react that they had been 10 minutes away. A number of the group came at 9:45, two came in their own vehicles, did not present themselves and proceeded to stroll throughout the home using their snow-covered boots on surveying what had to be accomplished. Another 10 minutes after the truck came and the manager showed again and again, no intro, he simply walked through the home together with his boots on asking”what had been contained in the transfer”. They proceeded to place 1 runner down the hallway and also 1 halfway throughout the kitchen, but nothing over the cellar stairs, thus by the conclusion of the basement emptying the paint was worn away from the staircase. No runner has been set back on the ground in the cellar, in order that floor has been salt and water stained into the stage that it had been white! There was not any runner set down to the wood in the living room or living room floors, leading to copious quantities of salt and water stains all around the flooring — the identical result happened upstairs, so they place a runner on the stairs however nothing else in the bedroom onto the wood so that the floor was coated in salt spots and water. As it was time to depart, they wrapped the runners up shaking the water and salt on the ground and the walls rather than carrying them out. It took 5 hours to wash JUST the flooring!!

Upon arrival in our new house it had been the exact same therapy, minimum runners were put down the flooring at our new house proved just as awful as another home — those guys did not care, but they accepted no respect for anything being ruined. They broke off the side of my desk also there was salt spots in my brand-new headboard and bedroom furniture and the ornaments were hauled through the salt and water onto the truck leading to water throughout the exterior of the vinyl wrap which wound up on the mattresses once they unwrapped them too nicely they leaned the moist vinyl wrapped mattresses onto the newly painted walls and salt stained water lines have been visible down to the walls and also had to be sanded. You will find salt spots on each bit of furniture in addition to scrapes on bookcases. They really didn’t care. In the right time of this quote it was suggested on the job order which it was a bulky cargo, but they just sent 1 directly truck, in which they’d suggested two straight trucks or tractor trailer, and they jammed everything to a single truck and consequently things weren’t cared for!!!

I picked AMJ Campbell since I had been confident the team was specialist. The quotation was not the least expensive and that I trusted that our items could be cared for however that was not the situation. The guys themselves were favorable but they really didn’t care for our things without a respect for quality. As it came time for them to depart, the manager Tom was not considering any problems that I tried to say, he only wanted to get compensated. Completely unacceptable.

The claim procedure was just as awful. They simply wanted it over, there wasn’t any respect for its unprofessionalism we underwent along with the effort it required us to wash everything. They were apologetic initially but then when it came time to accept duty they did not. It took them over 2 months to react and at the end gave us a measly $525.00. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    Accomadateing but Concerning

We obtained 3 quotes for our relocation around January 4th, 2018 moving from Bowmanville Ontario into 3.5 hours east of Cornwall Ontario. AMJ Campbell came in with a center quotation of $4,900. The sales man”Frank”‘d come into our home and moved room to room inputting all our possessions to an IPad. As soon as I attempted to point out several vital things he said he needed to go round the room clockwise. While I believed that he was not the most social sort of man, I thought he’d done this several times and had been attempting to be somewhat orderly so that I let him do his job. He established his quotation at the time that it would require the load and after that for another day shipping. Frank was the sole firm of those 3 quotations that followed up on our choice. After he told me we believed the quote was too high he reduced it by highlighting the movement on weight instead then the period demanded. The deal on the home got screwed up so that we ended up with the movers come to the next day. When they showed up the following evening they showed up with a 26 foot truck. I informed them before they started that I had transferred 3 days prior that required a whole 53 foot truck since this is a 4 bedroom house. The motorist Joseph explained that the prior movers likely didn’t pack the truck quite closely and that he’d get all of it on. Well sure enough in the close of the day that they obtained just 90 percent of it around. The rest of the contents of this garage would need to be picked up the following moment. What if we didn’t have that versatility and we needed to have out everything on this date? The 3 men worked really hard daily but I can not say the exact same for both men the following moment. They proceeded really slow make it really cold outside.
He truck needed to be held immediately due to the space and time involved. The next truck could be delivered days later out of their warehouse. The following day upon move-in the 3 men again worked really difficult. Instead, they re-assembled my leather sofa which they had shot apart but didn’t set it back together quite well. I addressed this to Joseph and that he came back a few of days later to resolve the matter. Throughout unpacking I’d find that a few things bankrupt but not significant things that I was forced to devote a claim for, but I did understand that they had been a consequence of packaging my contents also closely. When the next truck arrived a couple of days after, they’d set a number of the items into dress boxes. As soon as I opened these boxes that which was just thrown in half hazardly and consequently again a few things broke. When you pitched a wreath at a box and then put heavy things on top of this, that is not caring to your clients possessions. I really don’t care when it had been garage things or not, you aren’t doing your work properly in case you do things like this.
In the conclusion of it all rank requires us and says we’d 20,000 pounds worth of things that was 6000 pounds more than what had been projected!! Really? Well then Frank…I figure that you can not do your work really well either. He states that the fee will probably be yet another $2000. I informed him we aren’t committing it. He left the terrible quote so why should we cover his error. He informed him he did not understand how to perform his job quite well and that he became argumentative that he was doing so for several years. I received a head manager to call me back and explained all of this to his supervisor. We located at $5200. I gave this business 3 stars since overall the transfer went well but they dropped significant points with me by a truck which was too little for the amount of things we have and also for your salesperson Frank that could likely make a much better car salesman afterward a mover! The very best portion of this movement was Joseph established from Ottawa. I heard from him following the fact that there’s a whole lot of heat coming back on Frank because of his bad estimate of the movement.

    Terrifying

I’m horrified about their client services. The individual at the Toronto office is just nothing short of rude and unhelpful. My dispatch from the UK came in Toronto on 10 Nov, nobody was connected with me so that I contacted your office and has been told it’ll be unloaded and apparent habits soon. I predicted a week later (after no contact in the yet again) and also waas advised it eliminated customs and expects a transfer to Montreal. After a week of no contact, I was now advised that it really still wants to clear habits and afterwards requesting 5 occasions for its explanation of this process, I was eventually told it could take a little while once more. It’d be useful if upon introduction of their products to Canada, the clients have been sent the particulars of the process in order that they understand exactly what to expect and much more significant is KEEPING US INFORMED. There’s been no apology, no compassion and no customer support to the Toronto individual’s character (Angela, I think ) and she totally ignored my opinions and queries regarding customer support of the business. I’d certainly not suggest these to my worst enemy.

I was really very mad that my stuff has been transferred and once I got it I’m still lacking 2-3 boxes of keepsakes and kitchen things. I repent labelling the boxes and I am quite hurt that my things never revealed. Unfortunately the way the movement went it wasn’t noticed until a couple of months following the move which so much wasn’t accounted for. Irreplaceable things we thought were secure in a box in storage never created it.

Danny Santia our representative actually dropped the ball if things went wrong. Customer support wasn’t useful, but the reimbursement has been unacceptable. We’d never recommend this business, our relocation was a tragedy.

    Damage Report

Recently transferred with AMJ Campbell and everything I could do is remind you to not trust this business with your transfer. Things were badly packed (fragile items crushed beneath the burden of heavier objects from the boxes) plus numerous furniture pieces were ruined beyond repair. You will find confusing and contradicting instructions from the firm regarding the way to apply for payment. On various occasions I had been told 30 afterward 15 times but after registered I had been advised it was really 90 however when you record you can not add different products. End result is that I obtained comp for under half of what I discovered ruined or ruined. The suggested repairman never followed up so that I finished up jury-rigging my own repairs. An extremely heart breaking and annoying experience all over.

I’m an old guy of 85, a guest here in Canada, I shipped my household in Canada a few furniture, just how I wound up with amj campbell equally Ontario and Montreal branches is past my understanding but to cut a very long story short they’re a black spot on great title of good looking Canadians and Canada itself, I paid off a European firm full cost for door to door dispatch however got stuck with this firm with no individual, specialist or whatever worth, their inexpensive, weatherproof and unprofessional attitude makes folks believe each of the movers from Canada ought to be of the kind. Should you truly have to clutter your lifetime or of the loving ones then that can be the business of best option go for this!!!! I’ve got each and every need in composed if anybody wishes to entertain themselves with the way the so called business blows each and every little bit of innocent people’s faith and esteem out there from the society!

    Terrible Service and No Followup

I’m too tired from a really stressful weekend with AMJ Campbell to compose a comprehensive inspection….Suffice to state that the only great portion of the movement was that our”unloader”: Lloyd Bailey in Bailey and Bailey Movers (located in Calgary). Even the London AMJ Campbell staff took no interest or obligation for the problems generated with their own inefficiencies…I’d not use them again!

Great Company - Would not hesitate to use again

Moving from 1 state to another was daunting task, so we began with an online search to find some quotes. After reviewing them we did our own study on each company utilizing the BBB and settled on Atlas Moving/AMJ Campbell and we’re thankful that we did. The Edmonton to business affiliated with Atlas was GLC and they assisted us throughout the procedure and after we had the quotation we made the choice to utilize them. We packed up our own products and also with advice from GLC we understood what is required to be wrapped and pulled apart and what might be abandoned for your movers to wrap or take aside.

The movers came when they said they’d and after a short walk through and a few last schooling they proceeded to work. They supplied the flooring coverings to make sure they didn’t damage the floor. Our products were packaged quickly and economically and if they had questions that they asked.

We picked a shipping date three days after the pick-up and were lucky enough to possess the identical crew unpacking us. Once more, they showed us they were great at what they did. The floors have been once more covered and they had been cautious moving in our larger stuff and also putting back together the furniture they’d taken apart.

Moving into a bigger place made it intriguing as to where to place things, but because we had all marked with all the room it had been moving in it went quite smoothly. We had a few larger bits that needed to be moved a second time and they had no difficulty helping us with that.

I wouldn’t be afraid to use these people again should we do some other huge move and also a bigger movement. The employees were knowledgeable and friendly and had completed enough motions to be quite efficient.

All our products arrived safely and in in perfect condition and the labels that they use for coding were simple enough to peel off and left no marks.

    Worst Moving Company Ever

Worst move ever with AMJ Campbell. . .they have no responsibility to substitute things that they broke into transit. 1 worker mockingly stated of a single broke thing”where did it come in the dime store?” Their explanation for additional breakage”truck shaking”. We’re currently at 7 broken bits of furniture, two lost things, and two broken products!

The earnings person servicing the Durham area was to be dreadful, ” he pushed what he desired for our transfer, not exactly what we inquired. . .pushed our movement from Barrie instead of the much nearer Markham depot.

There are far better companies out there read the testimonials prior to contracting. We’ve our criticism with their having a Old VP how can only state that”in each of his years with the firm no criticism had reached him…” what an apathetic reaction! Suggestion: begin reading the terrible reviews!

I’ve escalated by criticism straight to Atlas, possibly they could kick this business in the ***.

    Dishonest Service...Avoid like the plague

It was really misfortunate to take care of this unethical business. They first promised a professional support and decent packaging for a reasonable price. We showed them exactly what to match first (the principles ) however they didn’t adhere to the directions although we honest they would and didn’t follow them round the villa or see what they do, we just trusted them. The way that they packed my consequences was quite catchy, they stuffed the boxes with newspaper and the boxes were quasi empty simply to create additional volume. The 20-foot container which was designed to match my consequences, as inventoried, ended up complete with half empty boxes along with the container was no longer enough as a consequence of this. When we requested them to offload to ensure at least the essentials are match, they stated they can not at the point, and offered to take the remaining consequences and also to take action afterwards in the warehouse. We completely trusted they would, but since they understood we’ve already traveled and abandoned the nation and we had no choices or refuge, so they ended up charging us over 50 percent of their initial cost as if I leased a 40-foot container. They refused to provide our consequences unless we cover the additional exorbitant cost. Upon getting our stuff later we had been made to pay this unfair improvement, many things were ruined since they used economical wrappings even to the delicate items which require coating and buble wrap like our LCD TV. We also have found that things were missing and also the consequences from the boxes were placed randomly with no suitable sequence and appropriate labeling and many boxes were complete with newspaper rather than our consequences. We’re really disappointed in this unethical business and would love to alert others about the way this business deals with its clients. For us it was a devastating movement on all fronts. Beware.

    Do Not Use

Don’t use this company to your relocation.   The saleman was fine initially, helping my wife out to Decide on How Best to transfer our things, providing a visual quote on prices, etc..   The space for the transfer was roughly 555 km.   The day prior to the transfer, July 31, 2015 the firm called to notify her that the truck could be there between 8am and 9 am.   Gerry MacKenzie subsequently sent an email to state to the truck are there between 8:30am and 9:30am.   The truck finally showed up at 10:40am on August 1, 2015, loaded 90 percent with somebody elses items, which weren’t in any way piled vertically.   This left about 12 feet on the rear of the truck in which to package our items.

Both movers were made to vertically stack out things, floor to ceiling.   The movers also didn’t do a comprehensive inventory of those things which were loaded on the vehicle and decided to just stock major items and not one of the boxes which were loaded.

We were subsequently advised that the load wouldn’t be coming at our new house before August 5, 2015, 3 1/2 days afterwards, which appears an excess time period to push 555 km.

It’s currently 1:50 pm, August 5, 2015.   Despite many phone calls into the business dispatch, they Don’t Have Any idea Once the load will be sent since it had been transferred from the pickup truck, onto another truck for shipping.   This Wasn’t said in the original contract with the Provider.   They also have advised us that they’re needing to reweigh the truck since the load has become, seemingly, 10% within the quoted burden to the load.

We’ve got no thought, at this time, what state our possessions are going to be in on arrival in our new house, or even when we’ll be receiving everything that has been loaded as, again, no stock was taken of these smaller things.

If it’s possible, avoid using this business in any way costs and advise anybody that you know who’s contemplating a relocation to do exactly the same.

Bad experience with AMJ Campbell moving services

My move happened on December 14 2012, I hired AMJ Campbell largely because I believed I’d be wiser to take care of a huge company that stands behind their title. Their quote wasn’t much higher compared with smaller businesses that didn’t concentrate in south boundary extended distance moves, except that the other two firms I’d believed were giving me a predetermined cost based on a complete truck rather than by weight, I’d one quote for CAD $3,577 along with another CAD $3800, AMJ Campbell’s quote came in at USD $4084, according to a thorough list after an in person visual of all of the things to be transferred. The salesman came over twice, once  for the initial consult and another time once we signed the records, and he required my credit card info, he originally based his cost on a entire weight of about 7000 lbs., but he then sent me an email at 5:00 PM the day prior to the transfer revising the weight quote to 8000 pounds. Rather than 7000lbs. ! Obviously , it had been too late at this stage, and I didn’t need to have nervous out since it was already a challenging time and a psychological and stressful movement. Mr Groulx was up to this stage quite agreeable specialist and reassuring, so he made me feel comfortable that everything goes smoothly, and he assured that they would begin early since there was a cut off period to the usage of the elevator that was at 5:00 pm, and all buildings have that law. Unfortunately it didn’t turn out this way, the movers were supposed to arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, they showed up at 11:00 and the substantial 55 footer showed up in 2:00PM, he allegedly got delayed at the boundary!! Not my difficulty mine was supposed to complete the movement prior to the cut off time! . So they began racing, it was chaotic and cluttered, we didn’t end until 9:00 PM, I got yelled at a few times from the security guards and also the director of this construction, they threatened to halt the go, in the case it might just resume on Monday. Because it was a Friday and no moving is permitted on the weekend, so I dropped my $250 elevator deposit for violating the principles. It was a dreadful day that I wish I could forget! The truck came to Cleveland a day sooner than promised, the motorist had his dad and two local guys unloading, the job wasn’t professional, they steered the couch to the wall breaking the foot of the couch and causing harm to the wall, they scraped the wood flooring, my leather couch was scraped on the arm, a dresser had a broken leg, and my classic armoire door was busted. And if they were completed I had been given a copy of a receipt for a sum that was billed on my credit card without my knowledge or consent for $5,430, that can be $1,346 greater than the quote. They didn’t honor their particular contract that says that I wouldn’t need to cover more than 110 percent of their non-binding quote of price.

I moved several times in my lifetime that was the worst move ever! I phoned Mr Groulx and whined about the cost and also the damages, nothing had been done, I wrote to the organization and explained all that had occurred, I never got a response or even an acknowledgement of the matter. I wouldn’t ever recommend them to anyone I understand!!!

    International Moving experience

I’ve been attempting to convey with all Daryll Brown the overall manager, because he took my possessions back in March 2014. He neglects to return calls or to perpetrate dates, his movers explained that everything needed to be labeled and marked, but Daryll didn’t mention that, thus a TON of faking needed to be accomplished. It’s August and I’ve yet to listen to , the last time I monitored Daryll down he explained that my possessions were beng transferred to Vancouver, I’ve yet to listen and when I call I receive the run-around. Terrible!

    INTERNATIONAL DISASTER

Bottom line: Don’t trust this organization. They lie and don’t appear on going day – even in case you submit for their overpriced quotation. They’re reckless and incompetent. With substantially improvement notice, a transfer in the USA into Canada was organized over the phone and email many instances, for example, transport of significant documents needed for Canada Customs. Written assurances such as a confirmation number along with a registration amount proved repeatedly supplied. I thought that consenting to a irrational quote (tantamount to street robbery) would supply enough of a financial incentive to get the job done.     Nope. 1 day ahead of the actual transfer date, I didn’t get a telephone to validate a loading and packing period. Nobody in Mississauga reacted to my repeated calls or mails on this particular afternoon. The following day, being that the true move day, nobody showed up. After more distressed telephone calls and emails, then a person eventually reacted. I never got a direct answer . however, it appeared like nobody handed on the enrollment amount throughout the border. I can’t confirm this since each time that I talked to someone else, I obtained another (and both untrustworthy) answer. Sometimes, the individual on the opposite end of this lineup had the audacity to become angry in my repeated calls as it was their action that place me in this dreadful predicament. Regrettably my airplane tickets were reserved the subsequent evening to coincide with the conclusion of my lease lease. With no place to live, I needed to depart the country but that I also had no place to store my products. No additional moving firms were accessible. At this notice, perhaps not even junk disposal businesses were accessible. Aside from that which I could choose on the airplane, I needed to take the painful step of personally destroying all of my worldly possessions that were all in great working order. To add insult to injury, although I was physically on the airplane from the USA into Canada, then AMJ Campbell had emailed me to say that since I had not reacted to their email in a couple of hours, they presumed I’d discovered yet another moving business and my situation was now closed. As a last spit at the face, today I need to buy everything again that I were made to ruin. I believed that having spoken to somebody on the telephone and getting email updates regularly with registration and confirmation numbers before – even agreeing to a irrational quotation – created the move a completed deal. I was incorrect. In the long run, none of this equates to anything. I was still hung out to dry. As an immediate consequence of the experience, I won’t ever suggest AMJ Campbell to some good human being on this world. This provider is completely incompetent and reckless. They’ve caused me a lot of hardship and pain – something I won’t ever forget or forgive!

    Dishonest

The salesman assured us that the transport of our stuff will probably be simple on our part. Including all neccessary measures and paperwork. Wow did Bruce ever lie. Not only did he lie, but he chose to go on holiday while our merchandise has been loaded and although it had been around the water. Currently there’s not anything wrong with moving on holiday, but if you dont give it to somebody else at the enterprise to look after it then there’s a issue.  It ran to so many problems as Bruce didn’t file the correct paperwork which we needed to wait for an additional 40 days to receive our belongings. Can we get paid….NO. Actually we have billed using 114 euros for storage charges since they held it in the boundary. Thank you Bruce and Amj Cambell for all of the hard work and stupidity. No wonder your business is moving down. It’s unfortunate for the Remaining individuals in AMJ who really take their job seriously

When they appear they try to upsell you in the doorway on taking out insurance on THEIR workers!  I told them that they ought to get their own insurance, should I pay for insurance that they won’t actually attempt to do a fantastic job because I have them insured.  The deductible is so big that the insurance is futile anyhow.  They ruined the home moving things in, and also damaged a little piano.  Customer support was slow, and refused to help.  Never again.

I choosed AMJ campbell to transfer my furniture from Toronto Into Montreal at 2013. I used to not believe that moving could be as simple as they left it. They had been punctual in the period of delivery & pickup and did not create any harms. If I move again, I would select them definately.

    Damage, Missing Parts, Irresponsible

We had an extremely poor experience with the movement together with significant harm to our possessions that the moving business is failing to comprehend and adequately compensate us for. Notwithstanding their strict accountability, the move has been highly unsatisfactory and doesn’t satisfy any reasonable expectations for the care of our possessions during a movement. Even though they state that they refuse any promises they paid out a little bit of reimbursement. We’ve got a garbage can of ruined ceramics although they have been packaged with bubble wrap, two pieces of furniture which were taken aside, broken rather than put in together and lost bits out of a mattress and power washer. The movers hurried off promising us that All the harm would be cared for, and that’s definitely not the case.In choosing AMJ Campbell we relied upon printed advice and information from their sales agent.   We didn’t purchase additional insurance from them because we didn’t believe that it ought to be necessary so as to acquire reasonable care of their possessions during the transfer. We’ve discovered that we shouldn’t have had some confidence in their own representations.  The AMJ Campbell website http://www.amjcampbell.com/about-us/ states:”We are devoted to making your relocation as easy and as stress-free as you can. We would like you to be totally happy with your expertise. In Reality, we guarantee it.”    Their Internet site http://www.amjcampbell.com/about-us/the-amj-campbell-commitment/ Contains the following:”If you select AMJ Campbell, your satisfaction is guaranteed.   We have looked in the most frequent frustrations when it comes to moving and from this, developed the AMJ Campbell Commitment – our dedication to the standards you may expect from among the very best moving companies. With AMJ Campbell you’re ensured: Settlement of any damage claims within 30 days Reassembly of any furniture which we disassemble so as to package Professional, courteous work crews Outstanding customer support” An email message accompanying a questionnaire that we obtained on July 3, 2012 following the transfer included:”In AMJ Campbell Van Lines we’re”Committed to Exceptional Personalized Service” and with your help we can continue to improve and improve our degrees of Quality Service.” Though we reported dissatisfaction with our movement there was no reply. A moving company has a duty to take good care of the goods while they are in its ownership.   They’re an insurer of their merchandise and accountable for damage to those merchandise. We found that they didn’t take what anyone could consider as reasonable care of our possessions and certainly did not satisfy their standards that were published. The move Wasn’t professional because the team had no respect for the caliber of service or our pride.   AMJ Campbell staff misrepresented how They’d take care of our possessions and also make good any repairs that were necessary.   The sales agent Chantal Cook ensured us that whatever They took aside to move is placed back together.   This Wasn’t the case.   The legs of a desk were removed so as to match it in the moving van.   When the legs had been attracted from the truck they had been broken and they had been left broken and unassembled.   A classic dresser was taken apart to your movement including eliminating the foundation and two decorative columns at the base.   These weren’t reassembled.   The foundation is at the garage in which it had been left along with the other elements from the bedroom. Part of an antique metal bed, that was disassembled, went missing and hasn’t yet been found.  So as to convince us to think that everything will be all right so that we would cover the movers on completion we had been advised that all damaged things would be made great and harm could be repaired.   There was a little damage to partitions on Thornton Avenue. We found the movers fall a box that they were loading at Thornton Avenue, one which has been marked fragile. This was likely the broken kitchen things listed below.   It seems that a number of the boxes have been lost or mishandled since things which were carefully wrapped in bubble wrap have been shattered to bits. When we spoke to Sales Director Paul Paquette in AMJ Campbell, he stated that no things should split when boxes have been lost.   This is completely unreasonable. We also had been dissatisfied with the movement since the movers hurried way out of our Belleville home. We paid an extra cost of $500. To be transferred on the holiday weekend but received poorer service.   A Good Deal of things were thrown off the truck to the local garage, things which were clearly indicated for additional places in the Home.   They left garbage and paper in their truck at our garage too.  We’re providing a listing of posts That Are damaged, missing or not reassembled: Patches not reassembled table legs broken rather than reassembled component missing from brass bed That Was disassembled part missing out of electricity washer broken glass color from desk lamp box of six broken figurines and decorative objects, all wrapped in bubble wrap ceramic bowl broken corning wear and pyrex cooking dishes smashed ceramic pitcher broken dessert plates divided
