    Moving Extortion

We predicted Mr. Sharpstene’s firm a couple of Good Men Moving & Storage, LLC at April 2019 to request a quote to move our loved ones. Edith – among his agents – visited the house and provided a quote. Later, we asked Mr. Sharpstene to see so that we can talk cost and show him a few extra products. In this meeting and observed by other people, Mr. Sharpstene said that he thought Edith’s quote based on weight was very low in comparison to his private quote and that which he saw but nevertheless because he helped him get his start in the moving company, given a lot of referrals, and hired him to execute every private move that we have ever produced, he consented that whatever their burden, he’d still lower the quote from Edith by $500 extra bucks, bringing the grand total for its transfer to $3,500.00. We agreed. A Few Good Men came the morning of their loading and supplied the normal loading support. The brand new home isn’t ready yet, so we discussed with Mr. Sharpstene shop the things for about 45 days. We consented to his charge of an extra $900 to unload and reload the vehicle and $141 a week for storage charges. In the conclusion of this loading afternoon, we paid half of the moving costs ($1,750 and 100 percent of their $900 for the unloading of his trucks along with the temptations of his trucks in a future date and 4 months worth of leasing at his center ). We anticipated the equilibrium upon the last delivery to be $1,750.00. Yesterday Mr. Sharpstene called to notify us and demanded that we pay him a lot thousands of additional dollars to finish the move. I talked with him again this morning and also his place stay unchanged. He told me that we might be looking for a legal remedy, a Public Relations treatment, and a regulator cure because of his illegal acts. He’s violated his contract with us along with his great faith and dependability.

Backed out of contract on day of move

The movers arrived to our flat, listened attentively to the record of the things was to proceed and that which was to stay, to be awarded to charity afterwards, and then said they were planning to deliver the truck round to the closest parking lot and return. They never returned, but an hour or so after our housemate received a call from the dispatcher, stating that they wouldn’t be transferring us since they did not enjoy the fact that there wasn’t a litter box in the living space, and that there was an odor that they did not like. Our housemate pushed for additional information, however, also the dispatcher refused to supply them. Our move was postponed several times while we locate another firm which won’t violate their contract such as AFGM failed, that is causing us substantial financial and psychological stress, reimbursement that will be contained in a breach of contract litigation.

    STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

The 3 guys showed up at 8am ( denying their resources to reverse furniture I needed to start a box to discover some tools to give them) and stopped at 9pm, once I needed to mention GO HOME (following the 6 hrs they gave me 1006, it was a $165 one hour fee then )! They still hadn’t put the majority of the furniture that they shot aside back together, and they’d left a lot of my items back in the old home and they’d left a couch obstructing the service lift downstairs. These would be the very slow, ineffective, untrained, inexperienced team I’ve ever seen! DO NOT hire this business if you don’t desire them to conduct your bill by the hour and also to wind up paying twice as far since they lent you ( That is what occurred to me personally ).

    1) They spent an hour attempting to find a sofa to the service lift on the pier and at the ending left it right there in front of the elevator. The following morning Other folks were going and that I needed to request their movers to eliminate it to some place so that it would not be in their own way. Their Agency (2 men ) rather, got it at the elevator and to my apt in five mins! YET A Few Great Men’s 3 men couldn’t do it and squandered 1 hr and $165 my time and cash then left the couch right in the front of the elevator leaving me to cope with yet another annoyance of finding somebody to transfer it the following moment. Why would it be that two men from another corporation might find exactly the identical couch into my apt at five mins, nevertheless A Few Great Guys charge due $165 one hour and required an hour attempting to get it in then left it there!!

    2) The very same guys from other firm moved a 2 bedroom apt that had MUCH greater than that I had, she’d lived there for 40 decades! Plus they have been completed loading her from 12 noon (beginning at 8am). I requested them to allow me to know when they have been done with the movement and they ended moving her to new place at 4pm. WHY ON EARTH would Some Great Men take over 12hrs and still not be achieved, nevertheless leaving a great deal of things still at my previous home that I then had to pay others to pickup (after spending $2394 for a couple of great men proceed of a two bedroom apt). So after spending 2394 to get a Transfer, they came with no resources, billed me $116 for tape that they didnt have to utilize and also a $60 charge card FEE ( had money for the initial quoted move plus a few additional but if they shot so long that I needed to use credit card) my items remains left in another home and I needed to pay another person to receive it the following day, my furniture isnt put together and it took over 12 hrs at $165 an hr.

There’s absolutely no way this movement should have obtained 12 and hrs nor price exactly what it did. I feel totally ripped off. It’s entirely unacceptable. As soon as I phoned their oFFICE mid-move to state that was crazy just how extended the MOVE was carrying (in 4pm my brand new location still had no furniture inside ) that they were quite rude on the telephone call. They did nothing but attempt to make excuses and blame me for this taking a long time,’you’ve got more things, you’ve got a lot of things, if we’d known we’d have delivered more men’. YET I talked several times prior to the transfer to the identical individual, who promised me repeatedly that according to which I’d had, and that I WENT OVER WHAT I HAD PIECE BY PIECE ROOM BY ROOM, she believed , that 3 guys could do so movement in 5.5 hours 6 max. Itemized everything in every area and repeated that many times. I even called her back saying perhaps we should have four guys since these things could happen long and she explained,”that there is not any way 3 guys can not do this move done in 5.5-6hrs.” When I called through the move in 4 pm and after we still had a vacant flat (that they hadnt brought the furniture up and it was already 4pm) she began making excuses for me and contending with me.

I moved Space by area naming each product and amount of boxes before choosing THIS COMPANY. I did so with several businesses and I’m SO SORRY I picked that one. I proceeded according to her”experience” and enthusiastic declarations that 3 guys could find this completed in six hrs at $1006 and that I reserved their group. The WORST thing that I ever did and also everybody ought to be aware of this! $2394 bucks after PLUS the Cash I now spent to go pick up the remainder of my items, in addition to the period and lateness of this afternoon when I needed to kick them out without getting set my furniture back together along with the departing of my furniture from the elevator stating it does not match (while some can match it in moments ).

Steer clear of this firm! This has been the most dreadful movement ever! I transferred the exact same material 1 year ago for about $1500 hiring 5 men and leasing a truck. I believed that was a lot, and so I went for this particular quote. NEVER AGAIN! I don’t really want anybody else to experience the afternoon and the tear off cost which I went through when a $1006 quotation becomes 2394.

    STAY AWAY!

A Few Good Men Moving LLC

I had a completely positive experience with A Few Good Men Moving & Storage. Everybody I talked with to program the movement was so responsive and professional. When they said they’d call, they predicted. When they stated the moving team would appear, they showed up! The team who picked up my furniture (Carlos, Andres and Sergio) were prompt, considerate and exceptionally efficient. The crew who sent my furniture (Marcos and Dorian) were too. I strongly recommend this business. If I ever need a moving firm again, I won’t hesitate at all to phone them again.

Damage to Expensive Cantilever Patio Umbrella

I contracted with A Few Good Men Moving & Storage, LLC, (AFGM) of all Youngsville, NC to transfer my household products in ancient September 2016 since I love to use local smallish businesses whenever possible because I’m a small business owner and would like to encourage other little companies. . Matt Sharpstein, the AFGM firm supervisor, was really friendly and nice once he came out to create the quote and temporarily on the afternoon once the firm loaded out my products. He was merely present for a few hours staying just long enough to oversee the loading of the baby grand piano. Matt’s mum subsequently came to the scene because the general manager. Matt didn’t look again during out the load and also the off load in our new house – his mom supervised the offload also.

1 thing that was transferred was a brand new cantilever patio umbrella which was in great working condition once I shut it to the transfer as requested by Matt Sharpstein. The inspector employees which were tasked with transferring the umbrella fought to hammer the base by the umbrella and also did not seem to understand how to hammer the umbrella – that they did not even have the right tools to take out the base in the umbrella, which that I supplied them the resources which the merchant had supplied to me.

After the umbrella has been offloaded in my new home and place up on the outside patio at a place created by my spouse because I was not able to be present throughout the offload. The inspector employees repeatedly fought with reassembling the umbrella, but not said any harm caused by this umbrella. But once I arrived in my new house following the inspector staff had defected, I instantly noticed that the umbrella cable was hanging loosely out of the umbrella home – that I had never noticed this earlier, and so I cranked the umbrella to start it just to find that the cable that lifts and raises the umbrella had been dangling loosely since somehow it was improved during the movement.

I contacted Matt Sharpstein the exact same afternoon and informed him of this harm into the umbrella and many other household items such as the piano that was dropped on a single border as it had been transported into the home. Matt became quite defensive when I said damages and requested me to elaborate on every individual, which I did. He started to argue with me personally in every product, so that I requested that he come to my new house and we can examine the damage collectively.

The following day, he reached the home (along with his mom ) and my spouse and I showed him that the umbrella original. He concurred that it had been ruined and even said that the foundation did not seem to be installed properly. He also called his office to look at his program and chose to go back the next week if he’d”deliver his gear” and personally repair the umbrella. We continued the survey of those damages to our own furnishings and Matt continued to be argumentative and contested nearly every problem we showed him. His attitude and lack of regard for me and my wife left me quite upset to the point which I left the area and had my spouse reveal him that the remaining things.

The following week, I had been advised by email by AFGM which”after careful consideration, they decided to substitute the umbrella as opposed to fix it.” I stated that was good, gave them advice about the umbrella in order that they could find an specific replacement, and inquired how we proceed from that point. AFGM supplied a damage claim type that we finished covering the majority of the things which were damaged such as the umbrella and immediately returned it to AFGM.

AFGM contracted using a furniture restoration business to fix our furniture that was completed satisfactorily. But, I couldn’t get any advice out of them concerning the condition of the umbrella substitute.

Nine weeks following the umbrella had been ruined by AFGM and consented to by Matt Sharpstein, I got an emailed letter by the”asserts section” of AFGM saying that AFGM was denying that our promise of harm into the umbrella and saying that they considered that we had been accountable for the harm by giving extensive drive to this kevlar winding cable after launching the umbrella. The letter has been signed by Raymond Sharpstein.

I sent a petition to the”asserts division” asking that they reconsider their position and then stand by their own label line of Honest, Reliable, Caring, and Powerful and honor the guarantee which AFGM had previously made to substitute the umbrella. Again, Raymond Sharpstein responded with me of this umbrella harm along with denying the promise.

This organization and the direction are somewhat questionable, unreliable, dishonest, uncaring, and ineffective. Stay away from” A Few Good Men Moving & Storage, LLC” at Youngsville, NC. They’re what provides the moving business a bad reputation. This isn’t the only bad review of the company – many other people are available for you to see and you’ll notice lots of similarities in behavior from the Sharpsteins.

    SLOWEST MOVERS EVER! RIP OFF!

Took twice as much as preceding movers and the cost was intense! 8 hours to transfer a 1 bedroom flat with traveling distance of 1 mile. Also needed a booked elevator without the stairs to manage. My information, keep looking and DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY on your transfer!

    Do NOT Hire

    DO NOT HIRE…

This provider is a ripoff (you’ve been warned)!

Originally, it is apparently an excellent business; therefore, their customer support representatives Brian/Ops Mgr and Thomas/CSR have outstanding marketing skills. But as soon as they have your deposit and you’ve contracted the job, the end outcomes of services left are far somewhat less than satisfactory!

You’ll be billed a great deal of hidden fees (extra wait period, before unload as well as the movers refuse to inflate furniture, till they’re compensated for overages and called period of finish from the motorist and the labour ).

Be informed, this business makes all the cash via sloth-like traveling time as well as slower loading time; so, their most skilled workers understand how to”extend” the job time. So, compensated by the hour job accumulates $1100 and, fast… For instance, a one- 2 bedroom flat transfer will probably cost you well over $1100 inside a 30 mile radius (and that doesn’t include extra fees for bubble wrap of glass objects ).

More to the point, when you phone to ask concerning overages and refund of fees for fresh period, Brian/Ops Mgr includes a condescending attitude and attempts to take charge of the problem by trying to convince one that charged rate is adequate and also agreed upon… DO NOT ACCEPT.

Finally, this provider flies beneath the slogan”A Few Good Men” – a name mostly employed by our specialist, committed guys of their U.S. Armed Forces.

But, it’s conducted by civilians with foreign accents and unethical support! Keep away from this business… Do yourself a couple favors and patronize a moving firm, anyplace… Take good care!

    Do not use them!

Don’t use this corporation. There support has gone down dramatically since the very first time I used them over six years back. I scheduled a movement for 3 guys, only two showed up and they showed up nearly two hours late. As soon as they stopped loading my truck, then they requested to be pushed into some street corner and fell off so that they could match with the next person which was assumed to be loading up for my own transfer. A hour and a half afterwards, they showed up in my new house. It’s just a 45 min drive. The next person whined the whole time that he had been unloading. When they drifted my furniture, then it was ALL ruined! This is all brand new furniture and now it all has chips, scratches and scuff marks. They even scratched up the flooring in my new residence since they pulled my furniture across it instead of carrying it out. Then they charged me for 3 guys for the whole job in addition to an added hour that they did NOT work! When I complained, they agreed to reimburse me to the brand new hour in addition to provide me the army reduction fee for your 4 1/2 hours which the next person wasn’t on place, so basically refund me for the sum that they overcharged mepersonally, but that was it! They did nothing regarding my ruined furniture although the simple fact that the transfer took longer as they were late and the next person didn’t reveal, so, my storage device, that was presumed to be apart of this transfer, wasn’t transferred, therefore, I needed to pay an additional months storage charge also. They just did nothing over and beyond. They behaved as that the refund that they gave me had been a prefer as it actually was because of them overcharging me! DO NOT USE THEM! On top of the, their movers attempted to operate with a back door deal together so the next person, that was not there for half of the transfer, could get paid from the business. Are you kidding me!!!!

    Horrible company

We had a dreadful experience with those movers – that they had been 1.5 hrs late, did not talk, and charged us over $150 in concealed fees/charges. The proprietor told us something, along with the movers yet another. After we called to speak to the proprietor to follow up about the inconsistencies and the fees he simply said, these are our coverages, sorry. He explained initially that there were not any hidden charges and that they simply charged by the 1/2 hr, they also charge you a fee for them to push for you, for your truck, for gasoline, to push back, etc.. . Do not hire them.

    Moving my house

This moving company supplied me with good support for my own move. The team guys were very hard working and were really professional. They could move a couch sleeper from the cellar to the truck and there wasn’t any damage. The prior movers I’d hired ruined my walls so that I was amazed with the experience of those workers. Roberto and Andre were exceptional employees and that I would recommend this firm to anybody. I had been Very Happy with their solutions.
