Long-distance move from San Diego, CA
    Do Not Use!

This cross country go nightmare began on May 22, 2017 once 5 Star revealed up to transfer our things throughout the nation. We hadn’t ever heard of the business because we had contracted by a broker. We paid the agent $600. As a deposit and then also paid the 5 Star motorist a second $1,000. We estimated that the things to be under 2000 lbs. We predicted to get the items delivered on May 28th, by this date the business has 21 days to provide the products. Currently Mike, last title unknown,818-605-8773, ” is his variety however mailbox always complete, known as and even though their motorists stating that the products were well under a 2000 pound weight Five Star phoned and explained it had been really 3500 lbs. After a few heated conversations with Mike in Five Star we consented to the initial cost and $500 that would be returned later we examined 5 Star Relocation using a 5-Star review. In a different dialog Jason also said we’d find the $500 back on a 5-Star inspection on Yelp. We predicted several times to confirm a shipping date but obtained no answer. Eventually we have been told that it would be sent to the first of July, and no it’d be the next week of July. Still no shipping. After we called and talked to Mary we had been advised that they just gave us these dates”since we had been phoning a lot”. Additionally, we became worried that perhaps our things were dropped, stolen or damaged. Asked a lot of times through telephone and text to get a photo of these items. Ultimately on July 24th, 2017 I phoned and told them that I needed back the items. Don’t send them, do not transfer them and also stated I’d call law enforcement. Mike stated he’d phone back, he didn’t (I had been advised by Jessica in 5 Star which Mike doesn’t own a business cell phone and doesn’t need to utilize his private cell to telephone clients ). Jessica, once I phoned on Tuesday reported the things had abandoned at 7:00 am the day. I received a call to the 26th of July in Mike Knox who informed me that he was connected with the motorist and the products were in the Arizona Border and that he only got word we needed it back. I asked him if the things needed left he informed me at 4:30 pm on Tuesday that wasn’t what I’d been told before. I informed him I needed them to deliver back the items and we were planning to pick this up. Mike Knox gave me his word he’d call me if the things return into Los Angeles. Haven’t heard from him again. We talked to Jessica about the afternoon of the 27th. She said great thing, the driver simply pulled in, he’s at Van Nuys. Asked for the speech, she informed us she’d return. Spoke to Jessica, the products were somewhere else. Again requested for the speech. Called back and the products were at a storage unit at Northridge. It turns out that they were not on the best way into the East Coastrather than in the edge, never everywhere other than the initial unit they had been at if they left our property. The great news is that they things weren’t damaged as the others peoples things have been. We really hired a trailer and also spent eight hours to recoup our things. We’ve got the run around for months out of Desiree, Mike, Mike Knox, Mary, Jessica. This long narrative only comprises half of it. We’ve since hired a different moving company who really weighed the things here. Confirmed the very same things were at 1011 lbs, no where close Mike had stated at 3500 to attempt to secure more income. The good thing is I’ve called daily as July 28th to attempt and receive my cash back. Even requested the BBB to step in to help recover the money owed however 5 Star isn’t reacting to them either. They’ve a few to call to submit a claim but it will be their enterprise number that they don’t respond to. They notice on net searches their speech is about Cass Street in San Diego but I moved there and it’s a PO Box. I was also told when they list their own calls but it isn’t on the cap of the phone ( which is prohibited ) but I hope that they do since they’ll also have documentation about the aforementioned. The objective of this article and review will be to notify you to utilize this business at your personal risk.

Long-distance move from San Diego, CA
    Beware of 5 Star Relocation

    1.0 star rating 8/14/2017
BEWARE!!! Had we understood that Allied Moving Group of Coral Springs (DOT 2944134, MC 996253), was a broker with NO relations to Allied Van Lines who, for a measly $569 down payment, could toss each of the possessions of a young couple into the wolves of 5 Star Relocation of Van Nuys, CA (DOT 288130, MC 967231)we’d have cancelled the transfer immediately.

5 Star ransomed our dispatch to get an increase in the fare and provided us $500 that they would allegedly give us back after if we wrote an overview on Yelp. Yelp’s one celebrities testimonials are those which represent the 5 Star Relocation we obtained.

After pickup they maintained our dispatch weighed 3600 pounds. And 560 cubic feet not under 2000 pounds. and 300 cubic feet. (In reality, it had been 1211 pounds. and 260 cubic feet!) I asked to get a reweigh at destination. Mike from 5 Star explained I would pay the extra cash ($900 and ) on shipping when I wished to observe that the merchandise again.

They did not meet their promises, answer their telephones, fulfill their shipping dates, and would not inform us where the products were. Their”speech” was at a rent-a-PO box location and we had been advised that they have not paid their rent in three months and seldom pick up their email. One of the telephones was enrolled to some Persian Restaurant in Van Nuys. Another mobile phones were enrolled to many different individuals, with titles we hadn’t ever heard of compared to a business or anybody we’d been coping with.

We arrived to distrust everyone we talked to in the business, Michelle, Mary, Mike Fox, Jason Scott, and Karen after too many unfulfilled promises. We could almost hear the laughing since they told you one brilliant story after another,”Michelle is at the Emergency area” Is Karen there? We asked. “Karen’s at the Emergency room also.” By Mary,”I have not heard of your dispatch and that I see no signs that we’ve got it.” Days after, is Mary there? “She is having open heart operation” Afterwards,”Her mom is having open heart surgery,””We’ve the truck, it is going out tomorrow.” The following day,”I do not understand anything about a truck.” Two months later we known for delivery we still didn’t possess the merchandise or any idea where they were but we did understand:

In the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration the Five Star Relocation is a part of VIP Investments from Van Nuys plus it’s one power device, i.e 1 truck. It is an extremely unlikely to think a business with a single truck can deliver a 1200 pound shipment to Boston from San Diego in a timely way. What they can do is pick up plenty of shipments in the region and drop them in warehouse to be sent out after….or not whatsoever. Read the testimonials. Watch the images.

We all researched, examined, filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, known as attorneys, the Attorney General, the FMCSA and made a huge quantity of telephone calls to 5 Star Relocation each day. Finally we have permission to pick up the merchandise in a privately owned warehouse free of link to five Star at Northridge CA in 10121 Parthenia St., unit D-43, (818-349-3173). 5 Star needed a huge unit with several shipments inside and our driver was advised,”We’ve shipments throughout the area.” And then clarified that they aren’t very organized.

We’re now waiting to be picked up by a different provider and have compensated for the dispatch greater than twice! (real weight 1211 pounds ) ! 260 Cubic feet); $1569 we compensated for its non-move, in addition to the truck and guys to pick up our valuables in the warehouse, and also the sum to rebuy items we could not live with out for 2 weeks We had been advised with a 5 Star Relocation representative that the carrier is needed to pay us $25 per day for each day beyond the shipping propagate, in our instance, $1025. We’d request this if 5 Star has been accessible.

Simply speaking, our transfer from San Diego to Boston that was promised at a binding estimate for a bit more than $1700 in reality, cost us well over $5000 and a huge quantity of stress and time wasted!

A Couple of things you should understand:
Agents Must inform you they are agents, but inquire anyway
Agents and carriers are required to give you a publication before your move on your rights and responsibilities
Agents Must inform you the titles of the carriers that they use
Find out more about the carriers, inquire how many power components? Perhaps you have ever done business under a different name? Read ALL the testimonials right down to the end.
You Shouldn’t have to pay to get a move using a household goods carrier up front
Your carrier is needed to perform an entire inventory, record and numbering every thing and it’s condition and the individual size of the cartons
Check out attentively any firm that’s in their title”Moving Services,””Relocation Services””Moving Team”
Look up your carrier on it is MC # and DOT # they cannot alter that as readily as their title and be certain they don’t possess exactly the very same amounts as I wrote above for Allied Moving Group and 5 Star Relocation.
Proceed all of the moving review websites,Yelp, Movingscam, my shifting testimonials, rescuemove.com, Angies listing, along with the Better Business Bureau for your local region.
