These men were supposed to dismantle my furniture in pickup and reassemble at the destination. They refused to do this saying that it was unnecessary, even though I’d paid for this.
When they arrived in the dropoff place, I was shocked because I saw them unload my badly damaged furniture. My $400 java table legs were barely hanging on. The drawers for my own dresser fully smashed in. My LIKE NEW mattress was covered in dirt from being dragged on the ground, and had several rips and tears. All they can say to me was,”Do not worry, insurance will cover it.”
After all that, they had the guts to ask me to get a hint! Incredible! I am never using movers again. After paying ~$1700, I never envisioned that it would have been better if I’d just moved the stuff myself.
This business was subbed from the company I initially hired to perform the job. They also go by Simplified Moving Solutions. I’d already paid the first company in complete, then these men walk in eyeball that which we have and let’s we did not pay enough. They demanded a second $2600 until they’d touch anything. What would we do? It was shifting. The transfer was from FL to WV. We saw them fall our couch in the front lawn. It’s a back that folds down and they broke the hinge. My wifes’ cousin fulfilled the movers in our new property. He wasn’t aware they were presumed to reassemble our furniture, so that they did not. They simply threw everything in haphazardly and removed. A few of our dining room seats never created it, together with some lawn decorations which had belonged to my mom and can’t be replaced. They dropped the mounts that hold the wooden slates set up on the platform bed. They ruined a wooden back. The whole front came off. They demolished the aspect of a tall kitchen cupboard we’d just recently bought, and two of those knobs are overlooking An whole box of glassware never produced it. A number of my wifes’ heirlooms were also broken. They ripped the liner in an ottoman and the leather onto the railings of the mattress. I could continue but only know a good deal more got ruined. After fighting with both the moving companies, Long Distance Movers would take no obligation even though they whined about not brokering the agreement. I submitted images of all of the damage together with a comprehensive list. The man at Simplified Solutions stated he’d submit the promise for me personally to his insurance provider. There was 4000 in compensation. This is where it gets bizarre. The proprietor emailed me to say he’d heard the insurer had reached their choice but he didn’t have a clue just how much it’d be. I was in insurance. Now, I got a handwritten money order for $140. It arrived at a handwritten envelope and has been nearly illegible. Insurance businesses do not work such as this. I’ve filed additional complaints now but it’s miserable this industry does not actually appear to care. We’re in their twenties with firms in this way. I’ve since spoken with a different person who’s experiencing a similar situation using Ross Allied Trucking. Back to this insurance. It seems like they never filed anything. Insurance businesses maintain detailed records and they don’t visit a lender and buy money orders. They’re also professional enough not to scribble in an envelope. It makes me wonder whether that provider even offers insurance. They either don’t, or it had been so much that they didn’t wish to document it. I wrote that the guy now and told him that I want the entire title of his insurance carrier and the agent. All it said was Moving HHGG also it gave a speech in an executive playground in Gastonia, NC. It seems they do not exist. I did some study. There is more to this nightmare but you have learned enough to know to not use either corporation. Incidentally, the motorist saw I am a veteran, I served 14 decades. He explained that he had been one also, right before he cried a tip. Stolen valor? I would not doubt it. His name is Wayne. Another thing. We never got any paperwork in any way. I have asked them to email it to me three times and they keep promising they’ll. How funny is that? On a lighter note. My wife is petite. We discovered three pairs of dimensions 2X women’s underwear in a dresser drawer. Splain’ that, Lucy?
