We moved/stored our family products from Virginia to Florida. Following 13 military moves we’d more harm with this movement than every other movement. Broken glassware, scratches, scratches, dents broken corners on furniture. The glassware has been the significant issue since the boxes were over packed so many objects broken. Very bad experience. The movers were very outspoken they were moving to other tasks prior to or after so maybe too exhausted to do a great job for us. We doubt we’ll find some $$ from our harm claim but registered trusting Harrison’s knows what a bad job was completed.
Fantastic service from begin to finish! It is great to realize that there are still companies that have exceptional customer services.
Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.
Harrison’s came recommended and played a superb job in my move from VA to NY. Consequently, my expectations have been reasonably high for another fantastic return to VA..
The movers were late in coming. They intercommunicated into the motorist about packing my property, and therefore weren’t done the very first moment. After a number of promises to package everything, they didn’t bring 2 large flooring rugs. I can’t locate other important items such as an iron or even a box of 15+ lighting bulbs. An armchair was placed in the truck with no protection, thus rendering it quite dirty; it’s like sand was thrown into each nook and cranny of this seat.
There are scuff marks on the walls of the new apartment in which they rubbed them with furniture.
Following two calls in to complain about the direction, I have not got a call back.
Just realized I hadn’t supplied a review of our experience with Harrison. We moved past May from off Moyer Road at Newport News, VA into Lucas Creek Road at Exactly the Same City. From organizing our relocation together with Tony, to this workplace assistance to the real movers (3) proved to be a really pleasant and professional expertise. They went over and beyond helping us with this movement. All of our items came in excellent condition – that the movers put everything precisely where we needed them. Being retired and upward in era, this meant a fantastic deal to us. We’ve already recommended you to some of our friends who might want services in the not-to-distant future. Again, a big thank you to all involved with our relocation!!
Every detail has been attended with professionalism. They even took care to place the stock decals where they Wouldn’t hurt the end! Instead, they chose to park across the road from my old residence – that made more work for them – because they feared They might hurt the trees around the driveway. They made certain I Was Delighted with the positioning of every thing. They even moved my heaviest, bulkiest Part of furniture double. It wouldn’t match the stairs (they actually tried!) So that they cheerfully relocated it to a different area. The men on this team were ones that I would be pleased to share a meal together with instead of ones I’d dread to fulfill at the dark! In my very first contact with Harrison’s before the truck pulled from my new driveway, my very best expectations were surpassed!
On the lookout for a moving company? Stay away from Harrison’s Moving and Storage. As soon as they get your cash, all concern for you as a client finishes. This firm moved my home products from Virginia Beach to storage in Chesapeake through May of 2013. Back in December, they moved my possessions to Brandon, Florida. This is the point where the fiasco started. They broke a custom made driftwood sculpture, a $600.00 butcher block habit table, along with my washing machine. My wooden furniture is filled with gouges and scratches. I place a claim in demonstrating good documentation in January of 2014. It’s almost May and I’ve yet to be refunded. I’m always advised that the proprietor, John Mullen, needs to come in and register on the paperwork. Of course that the business is run so badly. Evidently, the proprietor never ceases by, or at least so I’m told. Do not hear fast talking salesman Tony Wasco when he tells you all of the great things about Harrison’s. They’re careless with your possessions, maintenance nothing about client support, and will not pay attention in a timely fashion, in any way.
While unloading my possessions and furniture that the workers seemingly became careless and tired. They dropped off several boxes the hand truck on the front lawn or the living area floor. While restarting the bed headboard that they dropped it snapping off a post as quickly as you want using an axe. The actual difficulty is in the insurance policy offering. To cover the contents completely could have cost $1000, along with a small insurance policy sum was pre-filled out to the paperwork with no explanation of this topic, except that has been indicated. It wasn’t accomplished until later after much damaged merchandise that the the libility of Harrison’e just began if the harm was more that $1000. This was deceptive. Because of this the employees understand that they can afford to be careless. It requires a whole lot of broken dishes and scratched furniture to exceed 1000. The broken bed post prices less than this, but I haven’t been able to cover a professional repair person to come by and give me a quote. In short the deceptive insurance practices and careless personnel induces me to Provide this business a very low score rather than recommend them.
This business should retrain worker’s who make important business calls understand common ways and the legislation until they find themselves either with a litigation or outside of company. Your better off by moving to”two guys and a truck” I was not given a decision in my move due to a tragedy. You believed they had been there to give a hand at an instant of a neighborhood tradgey and doing something out of kindness. Just to learn they left a shameful sum of money on such day. You know like “ambulance chaser’s. Jumping at a packaging whats left at a neighborhood that had everything ruined. I attempted to find out what was left of my entire life hunting through the rubble. I just had 5 moderate boxes of everything I might maybe salvage and was not even certain if anything could wind up having the ability to save. THE ENDING BILL ON THE TOTAL OF 5 MEDIUM BOXES TO ME WAS $900.00. YES, you read that right. My mouth fell open at the sight of the invoice. $900.00 on 5 moderate boxes. This firm needs to be a pity of these. Yes, they said we’ll store your broken items 3 weeks for you so that you can restart your entire life over and determine where to begin first at picking up those bits. 3 months came that they delivered the things and handed me that bill. Even if your regional storage firm saved a couple of boxes for 3 weeks. The price would be understand where in that sum. I understand since being from a military family. I’ve made lots of moves all of my life. And had quite nice experince’s with numerous storage and moving businesses. I’ve not ever made a criticism or even thought about writing a review of any company or business. It has me so mad that I felt I had to write my very first one and let’s know. BEWARE OF THAT HELPING HAND BECAUSE IT MIGHT BITE YOU BACK HARD WITH A OUTRAGES COST TO YOU. LEAVING YOU SHAKING YOUR HEAD IN DISBELIEF.
