Agility Van Lines is the worst nightmare mover. My contract promised I would be packaged and moved from my Maryland house on June 28-29. Their truck did not arrive before 4:15 pm on the 29th. They did not end until 5:15 pm on June 30, reevaluate, and nearly derailing the selling of my house. My contract said they would deliver my possessions to a new house in North Carolina involving July 8-13. They came at 4:30 pm on the day of July 15. For all this abominable provider, Agility demanded $3,000 over their initial moving quote — a 38 percent price growth! This business operates a classic bait and switch functionality! Run, do not walk, away from Agility Van Lines, unless you’re searching for a very long distance move out of hell.

My deception started when I discovered Agility off the exact reliable Angie’s Listings. Regrettably my first local moving firm contracted COVID-19 two weeks before my move so I had been needing a replacement. I talked with John hundreds of occasions, delivered him the MLS list of my Property, including the square footage ( 2219 sq feet 4 bedrooms 3.5 bathrooms ) and over 26 photos revealing all contents of each room in my Property.   After several buys on 4/17 John lent my transfer in $5,313.13  based from the1052 Cubic Feet I’d have to have in the automobile.

The transfer was guaranteed providing a two day entrance window. With just 24 hours notice that I received confirmation that the truck could arrive the next day however, it did not! I called repeatedly to affirm my moving date since I was on a tight program. I eventually heard back in 9PM the evening prior to my scheduled proceeding date – in which I had been advised they’d be arriving a day later than anticipated.

Upon entrance on 4/23 my movers stated that there was certainly no way that the contents of my House will match from the cubic footage I’d reserved.   They informed me I’d require over 1,768% footage of the automobile that would raise the cost of my transfer by $3,500 producing the entire $8,341.57. Additionally the person who owns the firm Shane insisted that the new sum had to be compensated in full upon shipping.

All these were certainly not the conditions and terms I’d contractually agreed upon. This was the height of this outbreak, and of course I’m a single girl and has been packing and shifting my whole life entirely alone because of compulsory isolation.

The legislation says that the most a moving company can bill is 110 percent of the Greater total in shipping, they didn’t stick by that.   I’ll be submitting a deceptive business practice complaint with the Department of Transportation, Better Business Bureau, along with the Attorney General since this firm is very corrupt and I don’t need this to occur to anybody else.

I’ll mention that the 3 movers were quite favorable, professional, and translucent. Certainly that is a leading down problem where direction forces inferior and immoral business practices in their workers.

“I guarantee it’ll be there Friday.”
“Your things have been in storage at CT.”
“It’ll arrive early next week.”

LIE #3 – we can professionally package your things
RESULT – Many things weren’t even packaged, simply thrown to the vehicle.
RESULT – Lots of things came broken; a few went to the garbage and will be entirely replaced; others may require repairs.

LIE #4 – We are professionals.
RESULT – Office personnel gave me the run around. I had been the sole initiating the majority of the calls.
“Uh…I do not have the paperwork before me.”
“We will phone you by 5:00 to supply you with an upgrade.”
“Still no reference, I do not have the paperwork.”

LIE #5 – blasting materials fees
RESULT – that I had been billed $215.00 for boxes: Apparel box, picture box, mirror box, and little cage, moderate cage, big cage, dish box, and industrial bin box, TV box, mattress covers, and etc..
The things needing boxes not made it to boxes! Many things were thrown from the truck in the ending. No boxes. Not wrapped, thus the broken objects upon arrival. Not 1 box has been supplied.

This was a NIGHTMARE!

I hired Agility Van Lines to assist me move from Delaware to Ohio. I was supposed to get my items picked up either Friday or Saturday, so I’d have the ability to fulfill with the truck in Ohio per day or 2 afterwards, and begin work on Monday.

We informed them we’re leaving for vacation on 05/26 and wanted our things before we left. My husband was living from a bag for a couple of years. We needed to go buy him some panties to tie him on. I’m a business woman and haven’t needed my computer to perform work on. We have been required to eat out since we have to FL since our pans and pots are someplace with our possessions. We’re down to two meals every day since we cannot manage more than that. This provider is a comprehensive disaster and ought not to be at the moving industry. All workers lie to you on a daily basis. Agility pickup my mdse out of West Haven CT on 10/25/17 also it was to be deliver to their place in Ft Lauderdale for storage as I was moving to Florida. On 11/26/17 I needed to come back to CT and chose to remain in CT.. On 12/18/17 we’d contacted Somer in Agility at Ft Lauderdale and ask her to establish a re delivery to Milford CT, in they stage she gave us a two week window from 12/22-1/5/18. I had to repeatedly contact her to get upgrades that she consistently reply, no shipping date collection. In addition, I request her and Shane Young that the President repeatedly in case my mdse was in their place at Ft Lauderdale and they constantly said YES! On 1/5/18 no shipping yet, I telephone Shane Young and he slide and said he had been awaiting a phone from Joe in NJ, I then ask why Joe at NJ, Then he notify me if they pick this up in West Haven CT they sending it straight to DELRAN NJ and fretting about it being at FT Lauderdale, watch if you lie you forget everything you said! I’d ask Somer to speak to Shane about re adjusting the bill because they never send it to Florida, he flat out said NO! I didn’t get my mdse send until 1/13/18 and afterwards giving the driver the address in Milford CT 3 occasions they have lost. So I paid for 1000 cf around trip 322 mph 4517.20. Plus a range of thing had been hurt. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY LIE AND RIP YOU OFF ! I’m in my 80’s and needed to weather the worst blizzard with no jackets or heavy fabrics. Now is September the 23rd and they haven’t finished my delivery!!!
They picked up my possessions on a single truck and decided to off load it and reload it with the other persons possessions. Not only did they never place all of my things on it they dropped each of the nuts bolts and power cords to my adjuster able bed.
They told me it’d be a week until they can send someone to mend it!!
Since they repacked the truck there are a number of scuffs and scratches and broken products.
I had been promised a settlement from the proprietor over a couple of weeks ago and haven’t received it.

Now they told me I’d find a call this morning for the delivery window. No telephone!
I phoned them and they stated that the truck is going to be here about 5.

WARNING: Don’t use this company for any reason!! My view is that they are con artists and sheisters. I was billed double my first quote, ($5,500 to $11,200) that needed to be in cash, money order, or cashiers’s check before any job – 1/3 every at package, load and load. I was nominated for a”full package”, but they”packed” just about 2/3 of my loved ones, because I had been told I’d be blamed for every box I packed myself. I wasn’t credited. Their thought of packaging was supposed to throw unwrapped items without a respect to weight or size into boxes, leading to much breakage and damage, and problem for me personally when eliminating from the boxes. If they were tired of functioning, they refused to finish packaging the home and abandoned everything in my own garage and workshop supporting in my sold home. I had been advised that they would bill me for walking up stairs in the new flat, but hadn’t informed me of the at first quote. Presently, they won’t refund my credit card the $700 they acknowledge they owe me for cubic feet never being used, since I assert they owe me cash for the part of my home they refused to package and move.

Finally on day of transfer They kept telling me motorist is about the road whereas the motorist is someplace else and there’s simply no communication between these. I had been told that the driver will select my stuff involving 10am-3pm on Friday (that was Memorial day weekend). Until 5 pm nobody showed up and also at 6 pm Ms Summer who’s their clueless move planner told me that the driver is never gon na na show in my location, because truck obtained complete (apparently truck chosen stuff from somebody else who paid better $$ and ditched me in last minute). They kept telling me to wait around for one more week and that also not certain at all (Notice that what is packed up in my house and put in boxes, no meals in refrigerator, no clothes to wear and that I was supposed to flip the secrets to Apartment manager in two days). I also have submitted a BBB Complaint on those scammers.

Long story short, after the entire ordeal, I ended up hiring no-name people from craigslist and they finally did the overnight proceed with me after them in a different van, compensated for hotel, meals, money etc. this whole ordeal cost me 4 times greater than what I was supposed to invest, ended up spending 8 grand. Luckily noname people from craiglist proved somewhat more professional compared to scam Moving Company.

All that we went over on the telephone was completed just as intended. What stood out the most was that the customer support. I was skeptical at first to use this business due to the negative reviews I found online. But after talking with Michael and Austin and studying the favorable reviews about Agility Van Lines I chose to give them a try. The quote was competive and also a bit more than I expected but it was worthwhile. When the movers came the quote was more so that I called to question them concerning this. Do NOT employ this business for from state moving!!  I had been lied to by Shane, the Representative which came into my House on the evening of pickup about the reality that my dispatch will probably be delivered at the truck which was loaded.   I had difficulty finding someone to answer my calls or return calls following pickup.  I had been told I would find a telephone one to 3 times before delivery.  I had been contacted significantly less than 24 hrs. Before shipping.  I’ve a massive grill grill, two box springs, 1 bed, backyard gear, cheval mirror, and etc overlooking.  The majority of the boxes have been smashed and each bit of furniture is ruined with stains, holes,  stained, water damaged or damaged.  Inside the shattered boxes have been broken dishes and broken things.  1 box was wet inside and outside.  I had been advised by Shane that the items could be put in the right area but delivery guys said maybe not their occupation.  I shall upgrade and post pics in a later date if most of the boxes are unpacked and the upgrade on missing things.

Never utilize Agility van traces. . I had a horrible experience together. .they would be the most powerful movers. .Don’t waste your funds & time.They delivered my things after over a month that also many of my expensive furniture missing..For that they don’t give a damn thn that you simply continue wasting your money & time together with the third party maintain dpt. . Moved from FL to CA and could not have envisioned the amount of unnecessary pressure from any moving firm, even after hearing horror stories from friends about other businesses. I don’t have any clue how this business has so many fantastic reviews, I can only assume it is friends and loved ones of this firm…. OH- understand this- that the sales staff are experts! They are fantastic to handle and supply you with a great deal of advice… but after your purchase is processed, that all changes- along with your initial man won’t ever call you back nor help you out again. Anyhow – to the stage… errr- points: – sales man gave me a movement out date (July 12). Said usually they provide a two day window, but he can guarantee a particular date as it had been in Orlando. Additionally told me they’d certainly 100% send before August 1st. None of that was accurate. – needed to call them several times the times leading up to the movement outside to be able to acquire a moment. – Called again night prior to the transfer date to acquire a time because I had not heard back. Only then was advised my moving date could differ. I voiced concern, as I was flying out that following day and was advised that it would not be an issue – they’d be quickly and get there early. The funniest pieces were just a couple of months older ) – I’d quite clear heaps of boxes and things to differentiate mine vs. my roommates. Since they arrived a day after AND were overdue, my bf and I spent almost all of our time packing things up we’d paid them to package up (glass table tops)- rather than watching all of the stuff. Additionally, my roommate was not able to assist watch them because she took the first scheduled date off function and could not alter her program…. They ended up with a few of her boxes. They were mostly beneficial in getting the box back to her (we understood it the next day). They would not bring it back into the home, and that I was already in CA. Three days after I got a call while I was at work saying that the box had been downtown orlando and that I had to come pick it up from somebody’s house within another hour…. So- no caution, and that I was not in town. Roommate was occupied also. Fortunately, the location was right next door to a pub, and the bar agreed to hold it for us! (I gave them a fantastic overview on yelp!!) . So she finally got it backagain. – I heard no more upgrades on if they’d certainly arrive in LA, and I was hurrying to get an apartment at time…. I settled on a location *only * in time for July 31st move so far! (notice , I depended… had I known I had an additional two weeks to obtain an apt…) – needed to call them several times to attempt and obtain a date. Eventually heard in their customer support section (methinks they hired the provider just at the moment, because it came about as a surprise one day after speaking to one individual at Agility over and above )…. Was advised to create a petition online and await a confirmation…. So- still no info. Told them the revenue men (Brandon and Michael were mine) told me it could be sent by July 31st…. They told me that the contract stated 7-21 days from date of pickup…. Obviously, pickup was just one day late…. So today I am advised it must be sent with the 3rd. – This it’s august 3rd. I am in my brand new, and vacant, flat. Thanks agility van lines. – I predict every other day or so attempting to obtain an upgrade. And am eventually told that my material has LEFT florida following the 3rd (to recap, it had been supposed to get there from the 31st) – that I find out a day beforehand that they’re coming to the 13th. I guess that is normal, but it was undoubtedly the worst day that they might have selected for me to miss work. I intended to come in the next half of the afternoon, which could be okay…. Except… – movers showed up 45 minutes later than the two hour window again (different movers)… I thought it could take 3-4 hours. It required over 5. I missed an essential day of work. – movers attracted in a variety of boxes and items which weren’t mine. I grabbed most of these until they left it upstairs. 1 thing, a gorgeous, large, old mirror made it into my flat. I told the men it was not mine. He explained it was too thick to bring back down-“have a peek,” he stated,”if you prefer it- it’s yours!” … I told him again that it wasn’t mine. He asked if I needed to maintain it…. He eventually took it back downstairs. This occurred with another couple products. 1 thing they brought back downstairs and later we discovered it was still there when they’d gone.   They left it out (it was only an ikea end dining table, a lot less a major deal than somebody’s possibly antique mirror).  – I am missing (I would not say”Stolen”- only overlooking ) 2 boxes. Some furniture & boxes ruined

We’d originally hired another moving company to transfer our valuables out of Fort Lauderdale, FL to Columbus, OH. But two days prior to the moving date, the business emailed us canceling the appointment. I tried phoning them to no consequences. In a hurry, I predicted Agility van lines, which has a fantastic reputation on the marketplace. By no means were they cheap but they’re such a major company that it was not a problem for Jenny (sales rep) to adapt me. Obviously they performed quite professionally. The movers were punctual, efficient and powerful. They had been breaking jokes and it actually simplifies some strain of movement. Ultimately, the bill has been precisely what they anticipated earlier. I believe I must have hired Agility van lines in the very first location.

HORRIBLE!! Do not phone the week of this transfer regarding the pick up time and day before the dawn of. I live in a high rise building and when a tenant is moving out, he must notify the supervisor ahead. Then the supervisor provides you with a time slot to use the lift. As soon as I phoned Agility van lines to maneuver my stuffs out of Fort Lauderdale, FL to Salem, OR, I informed them of the matter. Their team came just on time and because it was the very first appointment of the day, they were all very billed. They had a 2-hour window to package and deliver all down my stuffs out of my 11th floor flat. They ended in 1 hour and 45 minutes. My supervisor said that he’s witnessed many movers but never has he seen these efficient ones. I needed to cover them the 2-hour minimal though and honestly I was very pleased to do so.

Lied to in the beginning they use somebody else to send furn. No communication known as 6 hrs before delivery nit 24-48 hrs many lost things furniture damaged things do yourself a favor do nit utilize them you may repent it like I’m. I felt patronized being advised this occurs thats baloney I utilized combined and paid more but imagine what it had been worthwhile my stuff was all there. The owner of the business was condesending to me personally. I work hard for what that I have and now I’ve a heap of crap and items stolen. I plan to also register with the BBB firms such as this should be closed down

I’ve not ever had such a dreadful experience in my entire life. I have moved two weeks back and have a two year old but am yet to visit my furniture. They advised us 3 different delivery dates by now. They’re scamming folks and I figure that they do not care if your two year old is having to sleep on the floor.Never again.
For your pickup we needed to request our landlord to let us stay for a couple more days since they missed the pickup by 4 times. On the shipping they guaranteed us that the very next week, then the week after, then days later – still nothing. We must call them whenever they won’t ever call us and let’s know – therefore we take days off work for nothing.
It’s been a continuing nightmare.

Agility gets mixed reviews from me.  They transferred my older mother’s possessions from Florida to Massachusetts without breaking or losing anything — consistently admirable in movers.  Along with the movers that chose up and unloaded her things were great to use.  They’re assets to the provider.  But, there was greater than 1 epic neglect from the customer support section – like a large error on their part which the proprietor dismissed while it snowballed to a ridiculously stressful experience for me personally.  Shane, the proprietor, did finally make good on the issues and ensured me that prospective customer complaints will be taken seriously and handled immediately.  He says he has made adjustments in the business due to my poor experience.  I sure hope that is true.

I recently relocated from Florida to North Carolina. Even though the relocation procedure was something I had been dreading, Agility Van Lines created this transition easy for me.
