Certainly the worst.Pick up time was off by 4 hrs.moved us at 5 o’clock and completed the following morning.damaged a great deal of furniture and completely distroyed a gun secure it had been dropped a few times. We recently moved from Montrose Colorado into Portland and could not fit everything in our moving truck so when we settles in we place a call in to American Moving and storage to get some misc things brought to us. They were very friendly and useful. Then the movers themselves came and picked up our belongings. That is when the nightmare started. They told us a week or so and everything could be delivered. Well 2.5 weeks after it still is not here. We’ve had calls in the inspector threatening to take back our stuff to our previous home. We’ve been lied to on where our material is at. We had been told it’d be here last Sunday. We only discovered it is still in Denver. We can find a call back when they say they may and even then we can not appear to find an honest response. We only want our things!!!

In general, I’m extremely satisfied by the professional services which American Moving and Storage supplied. My agent David got me back in a timely manner when I originally submitted my petition online. The movers who moved me out of my storage device in VA to Fl were so fantastic. This firm ought to be shut! I haven’t been treated so badly and also the damages to my possessions is unreal. Don’t and I repeat DO NOT use this shifting service. I am quite amazed groupon was carrying them anyways.They is going to be my second phone call.

I’d like to discuss my adventures with all American Moving and Storage from Ft. Lauderdale Florida and Glass City Movers from Toledo Ohio.   ·        We had been promised a pick up time of between 12 and 4pm on November 4th.  They didn’t arrive before 6:30 pm and then said they”forgot” to weigh the truck. They needed to drive out into the freeway to weigh the truck and didn’t return until nearly 8pm. They did not finish loading the truck until after 10:30pm. ·        When they came they appeared around the home and stated that we needed a lot more stuff than were on the stock sheet. The problem was that the truck that they delivered wasn’t a Semi-truck however a smaller vessel truck which has been already 2/3 full before ever arriving. We needed to choose out exactly what was”most significant” for us. We weren’t given the choice of those sending a larger truck or of using another truck sent. We needed to leave behind matters using a used replacement value of $2500.00 for example two sofas,1 lazyboy chair, queen seat,12 inch Table watched,  etc..   The majority of these items WERE on the initial stock. I was not followed up with nearer to transfer date to find out whether my stock had shifted. Several things we ended up leaving behind were on the stock like a table saw and classic crocks. This was also a significant problem since we had been leasing house and we needed to leave all of those items in the house. That caused us to reduce our safety deposit. They asked them if they can at least carry the sofas to the curb so that the garbage company might pick them up and they refused saying that they do not touch anything which is not being transferred.   My spouse and I have bodily disorders and we are not able to lift and carry heavy items.  ·        The organization that came was Glass City Movers from Toledo Ohio. We hired American Moving and Storage from Ft. Lauderdale Florida. We had been told repeatedly that American storage and moving wasn’t a broker. The agent that booked our relocation got on the telephone with me and moved on how to look up their business with their Department of transport number to review for safety, complaints, type of insurance and license details. Never once was Glass City movers said. Their DOT identification wasn’t supplied for review and research. I didn’t become aware that they’d hired another firm to perform the movement until the day before when I needed to make out the test. I think that was misleading and didn’t let me completely research the firm who was actually doing the move. They never said that their firm wouldn’t be the sole coming at our door. ·        As far as the cost goes, I had been given a quote of $1344.99 to get 2325 lbs. I had been told that was an ordinary weight and it’d be reliant of total weight in the end. The end cost was $2016.56 nearly $700.00 more. I feel as they intentionally provide you with a low ball estimate lower compared to other firms so that you will book together and then in the long run, the total is obviously much higher. It felt like a bait and switch. Should you refuse to cover the gap, they maintain your belongings hostage and will not provide it to you! ·        I did complain verbally and in writing to American storage and moving. We exchanged emails and telephone calls for a couple of weeks and finally an offer of $100. Refund was created. I advised them that this was unacceptable for everybody that we’d left behind. They came back and stated at first that they’d refund us 300 If we’d compose our criticism and allow them to examine it prior to publishing it. The guy I talked to James Scott explained that they weren’t asking us to lie. They said we can place on paper our encounters but that they wanted to be certain that we did mention the fact that his firm didn’t use us to mend our problems. I wrote the review and inside I did as he instructed and I said the problems factually but also said the firm did work together with me.  I emailed the inspection into James and he phoned me a few days later when I delivered two follow up emails and stated that what I wrote was unflattering for his organization and NOW I might just buy the $300. I stated what happened to us being in a position to tell our side? He said he”we aren’t asking you to lie”.   The main point is that they wanted to get my excitement for $300. Bucks!! That is immoral and likely illegal and it’s definitely terrible organization. ·        I would not ever hire this provider again. I’d recommend you to NOT employ this provider. They lie and they cheat and they attempt to strong arm you in fantastic review. We lost a lot of items that we actually wanted but had no way to put down them. My landlord kept my security deposit since all left all of those things in his home! In the long run, I advised them to stick their $300.00 since the truth is more significant. What an unscrupulous group of thieves.  I’ve received nothing for All my trouble and annoyance.

I went before I could convince somebody to even acknowledge receipt of my mails. On July 16, I eventually heard from somebody called Nadine and about the exact identical time (through Yelp social site ) a man named Mike saying that I must listen to from them from September 9. I began emailing again once I didn’t hear from anybody on September 9. Nadine finally responded and said I must be receiving correspondence over the week. I got a letter about September 19 saying that my claim was denied because I didn’t report that the claims at time, which I completely disagree with. I tried pointing out things to both the movers and the motorist however their driver was in a rush and seemingly disregarded their procedure. He said that he wasn’t staying for me to point out that the harms and requested that I place them in writing. In addition, I have telephone records and mails where I have tried reaching out to American Moving and Storage. The correspondence which I eventually obtained from them on September 19 also claims that I’d already received $260. This $260 was out of the very first third party firm (that they contracted) compensated to the hole they put at the wall shifting my recliner in the IL place which I moved out of. The damages I am searching is to get the last delivery in TX. American Moving and Storage also sent me a 100″free” check apologizing for the damages saying that they wouldn’t be taking any additional action. I find it highly unsuitable when I’ve scratches, dings, and broken bits to a good deal of my furniture, holes in my rowing machine, harm into my walls, and leg cracked my sofa, cushion ripped off my groove, broken recliner, scratches within my new hardwood flooring (brand new building home), ruined patio cover, split garbage cans, etc.. If their motorist had followed firm protocol, then the harms could have been pointed out instantly, rather he decided not to remain and requested that I publish them in. STAY AWAY!!!   Read the testimonials because They Don’t lie.   Terrible customer support.   Terribly underestimated for cost and dimensions of shipping.   Two movers showed 7 hours up late and took almost 3 times for complete packup.   Shipping was 10 days after.   We had been advised from the Manager Derrick that higher than two days could require a fee however we were originally told by Anthony, our support representative that seven days could be free of charge.   All Products Weren’t tagged making for a very Tough move in.   The movers ruined both the move-out and move-in houses, costing me $ to the landlord of this transfer from home.   Next time I will employ a reliable moving company like most of my army moves.   It costs significantly more to cut corners together with American Moving and Storage of Florida compared to perform it directly with an Excellent company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They’re completely dishonest and don’t follow through.   One to 2 days prior to the movement was to happen they were supposed to phone me to Supply the time variety.   From the end of the afternoon I’d received no call so I called them.   They asked if we could move the scope by 1 day and that I consented.   The were suppose to call me another day together with all the time frame.   From the end of the day I phoned them again and the them again.   The sales man Mark wasjust aggravatd and advised me to call dispatch.   Dispatch never answers the telephone or sets the voicemail up so I only needed to keep calling constantly for 45 minutes before somebody picked up the telephone.   When I talked with Tom that the dispatcher he essentially told me that they Couldn’t commit to the transfer and that I must fine Somebody Else.   WITH ONE DAYS NOTICE.   I had been fortunate enough to Locate a BBB firm that can do the move, and so I called them the next day to cancel the transfer They Couldn’t commit to and also to request my refund That They stated They’d procedure that day.   Three days later I’m still attempting to Receive my refund.     This isn’t a BBB company and I’d advise against using this business.

Horrible experience everybody please BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS moving business. They aren’t fair and will say anything to attempt to maintain your deposit. They had us wait patiently all day waiting for your vehicle to get there and it had been one explanation after another. We have 5 kids and all missed a day of college waiting for the vehicle to arrive so we could move from state  but if it was all done and said they advised us that we’d REFUSED the truck without so much as coming into the home WHICH IT WAS A BIG FAT LIE. Now they’re attempting to maintain our deposit. When they don’t refund our deposit we’ll be visiting them to court.

Rather than getting disabled with this tiny bogus trick as they maintain your own possessions hostage, for which you’ll pay for them to push into storage and proceed again for another charge if you don’t pay the stated last second shuttle truck charge in money or money order!!! No credit cards accepted) I manage to scrounge up the money at the last moment, the men arrive and the first thing out of the mouth would be” your sofa will not fit.  We’re going to need to telephone the office to have a quote to take it up the 9 flights of stairs. Quotation 650$.  No, I’m not kidding. No, I don’t have a pull out sofa or a hefty one, it’s merely long. 
I’ll say that the team from fort Lauderdale that initially picked up my things were great men, along with both which delivered it had been fine also, but half of my armoire is lost, stolen, broken, gone, not sent, anything you need to convey about it, it didn’t arrive.  It’s positively useless to anybody else but me, however it’s a piece of furniture over 5000 bucks and it’s left a totally futile box with no foundation ( which also includes the shelves, hardware etc.. )
Here’s the beauty, the men who sent the 1 man said” oh man I believe I watched it, its rear to the huge truck. We’ll need to bring it back to you because we think that it is there”. Fast forward, it isn’t in plain sight and they seemingly have yet another delivery to create and possibly” it had been blended in with their materials”.
Well, of course, no telephone call to inform me” I am sorry, it is not here We’ll contact customer support and counsel you to also”  only”Nah… Not here”

So I contact the workplace, they send me a claim form.  No conversation about the way the procedure works, nothing. Click here fill out this form.  A type is a claim type for them to start the search for my lost furniture using a line that after I register it, states that I consent to completely absolve them of the responsibility in this issue at all.  I had my lawyer look at it and had been advised it had been the most false contract he’s ever seen and that I had been advised to not sign it. 
Obviously, today is Friday and seemingly everybody in the office that I want to consult with the abandoned at 230 for the afternoon but if a friend called and asked for just two of those people I want to talk with they had been”easily available” is not that a cute expert suggestion?

I’ve already set up my complaint with the BBB and my lawyer will record my claim for me personally because their lost things form is not any good.  What type of item is that? That only means that they could slip or sell your things and when you understand they’re missing, you need to agree to inform them that they were not accountable for it in the first location? Come one. How do the department of transport or anything another moving regulatory committee is set up let them conduct business such as this?
There’s a single decent review about them in twentyfive. It’s criminal seriously.

Communication and customer support was absolutely dreadful.   Really my worst experience with virtually any company for a customer.

Pick-up date at Vermont: Sunday, 1/19/14 (pre-agreed date has been 1/18)
Delivery date at Reno, Nevada: Wednesday 2/26/14 (pre-agreed date has been 2/8, subsequently 2/15, subsequently 2/22)
Vernon has been the customer support representative throughout my reservation Procedure.   When Vernon had my own card data verified, I never heard from him again, even though sending him 2-3 mails and leaving voicemails in his guide extension.
AM&SS doesn’t directly tend to some moving demands for their own customers.   Rather , they outsource their job to OTHER moving businesses.   I didn’t understand this when I first booked, also had the communicating not been so horrendous, it would not have mattered for me. They likewise don’t have a 24/7 client line for folks that experience difficulties with their relocation, as I did in my situation, because my movers did not appear on the two ends of this procedure.

They weren’t the cheapest but promised to have a proven system of routine shipments from Florida to NY; therefore, we picked Amereican Moving and Storage Services.  Major error!!  The moment they picked up the dispatch and guaranteed delivery when four days afterwards, they became quite uncommunicative.  Yes, there were snow storms however, the shipment wasn’t sent for 24 days.  Efforts to learn what was the issue and as soon as the shipment would arrive created only obscure claims that their trucks were stuck in New Jersey or Virginia. We wouldn’t suggest them to anybody and cannot rate their functionality any higher than inferior inany category.

Terrible Terrible unethical company – don’t use if you’d like your furniture 5.0   My parents used that business to pick up the materials of the house in Florida, shop them for 1 month and then send to their new house in Nevada. Sounds great on your telephone if they tell you that they could do it no issue and aggressive cost. All hell breaks loose when they attempt to execute.nnWhen my parents predicted to get their possessions picked up – a week ahead – they had been told following Friday all place. After the movers did not appear on Friday, they had been told that they had a two day window for pickup and it could be picked up elsewhere, Saturday. The fantastic news was that it had been picked up on Saturday and my parents still owned the home.nnNow it is time to find the delivery. My dad again calls up a week beforehand and asks for this to be sent on Thursday. He informs them because they want a two day window – Thursday or Friday is great. Thursday he must find the quote of when the movers will probably be there – he’s advised today they want a 4 day window and it might arrive at any time between Thursday – Sunday. He requests for Anthony to phone him back (Anthony is the individual he put his first order with that advised him oh yes we could do so – Anthony never calls back). I call on Saturday to find an estimate of when the movers are coming out of that the operator informs me that the driver is about the West Coast and can be estimating delivery Sunday. Obviously they didn’t appear Sunday and the workplace is closed no response. Sunday afternoon the motorist himself calls my mom and tells her he’ll be there Monday involving 8AM – 12PM and does she have the cash???? We requested for shipping Thursday-Friday and obtained delivery Monday? My brother and I flew in over the weekend to unload banks on delivery.nnThe motorist told my parents that he did not depart Florida till Friday. The business lied to me when they said the motorist was about the West Coast. They also dropped through with their dedication to provide when we requested Thursday or Friday.nnDo not utilize this unethical company which has poor customer services.

They predicted to pick up ancient I wasnt prepared was impolite on telephone. Then came on date said blanket wrapped and created record of things I’ve signed wouldnt give me replicate. Delivered my things around truck never weighed truck such as stated would take money only and needed to register on newspaper if consented or not or they wouldnt unlock truck. Everything amost busted. Filed assert they whined said sent settlement letter never got called them a few times delivered pictures and claim repeatedly. Ultimately this man Lamont who’d called me before who was combative and badgering known about assert said all of my things where harm prior to proceed that was a lie. I  looked in paper work they’d filled up on newspaper work things ruined after I’d signed it. Sneaky and Shady movers. 1 dresser I’d only refinished no harm they marked as harm. This firm shouldn’t even be in business what they do would be shady and incorrect right down to incorporating damages on a listing once I signed up it. I cannot feel that a company operates similar to this.
