So sorry for people who had a poor experience. My furniture arrived roughly two weeks later it had been picked up. I had been known as the Thursday before, and then again on Monday. Got 2 hour window along with last equilibrium. I had been billed $230 over quoted but we’d left 4 paintings along with a seat that weren’t initially on the attest and required additional packaging. The movers were somewhat late but remained in contact. Professional, worked fast, and washed up after theirselves. The Business has been Always Affordable Moving. All told, a nice encounter with just a tiny strain that I caused myself. Lesson learned though I hope never to be in an identical circumstance. Never, never never use this provider. They phone and make claims and estimate prices that look sensible. The move is subsequently sub-contracted to some other corporation. The movers contacted me 4 days before I was supposed to arrive home and stated they had been providing my items daily and they needed money only. I contacted American Roadway back and they phoned them. I inquired again about the matter with cost and they gave me their everyday regular response. I then told them I needed a response now. I received an email from them telling me that I need to contact the company that they hired and work it out myself because the company was reluctant to work together because they could not make them do anything

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst relocation ever worst business. Dishonest and contracts out your move to even worse businesses. We’re not the sue kind folks but this firm put us around the border. We’ve got a lawyer and certainly will take care of what they required, stole, dropped bankrupt and also for the total amount of strain they place on our loved ones. They packed up all of my children’ things (which takes up almost 3/4 of what we’ve ), our kitchen, TVs and the china in our dining area. All of our items took up almost their whole truck. I was almost worried it would not match but the men did an awesome job.

This was a couple days drive to Baltimore for your truck so that we came a day before it, that was ideal for me. It gave me a opportunity to find out where I needed everything to proceed. The moment the truck came, the men started unloading. Everything came to our new residence in the state that it had left in. They were very patient with me, dictating where each bit of furniture required to move (I did not request them to unpack some of my boxes; they would have been around for days!) .

Overall, American Roadway saved me a humongous hassle. They came and packaged, then delivered and drove — easy as 1,2,3. I never would have believed that any movement – let alone one going 1,000 miles — could have been this painless and easy. I really don’t know what I would have done if I had not discovered American Roadway.

Worst. Move. Ever. Our torture started when John guaranteed our pickup to get a Friday, with Saturday”because of backup in the event of snow.” Well, regardless of how the heavens had been still clear, Deana (the so called client support individual ) called and postponed to Saturday. Afterward, the actual nightmare began. My spouse and I had been sitting at the home — no meals, no solutions — waiting and waiting all day Saturday. Nobody revealed. Nobody predicted. My calls for customer support and dispatch all moved to voicemail; no reply. We did not hear by the movers before Sunday afternoon, and after that the movers came an hour when they said they’d. My spouse and I lacked additional travel charges because of this inexcusable delay.

I only recently landed a new job that required me to move about 1,000 kilometers from all that’s familiar to me. When it struck me that I needed to package up my house and entrust my whole life of possessions to movers I did not understand, I started getting worried. Over the first ten minutes of exploring moving companies, my telephone rang and John Conover was the very first man to phone me. He had been thorough and assessed each and every detail with me. He made me feel comfortable talking with him and he gave me a very fantastic price. Since I was new in the moving item, I wished to keep searching around for different quotations so I advised him I’d let him understand. When the movers moved out to their truck to receive their supplies, I phoned American Roadway to get John. He said he needed a truck maybe not too much out of me and that he could get there the exact same day afterwards on in the day. He said not to worry, that he would look after everything. I left another firm leave my flat and waited for John’s men. They were excellent. They explained that the charges that the other company was hoping to tack on were ridiculous. I had been off with a few boxes once I initially told them exactly what was going however, they loaded them anyhow along with packaging up 3 paintings along with two figurines for spare for me. I was billed a couple of additional dollars for stairs that I had zero issue together – there were 4 flights in my construction and no lift. I transferred from Cincinnati, OH to Tampa, FL on short notice because of a new occupation. Located American Roadway Van Lines as well as their salesman John assured me the world. I knew it had been too good to be true but that I had to move quickly an on a financial institution.

John in American Roadway completely saved mepersonally, I just wish I discovered him earlier! I had been such a stressful mess until I got hold of John. I lately had American Roadway transfer me and that I had a terrific experience. They were cheap and easy to take care of.

This latest movement of mine was complex, more so than many I am certain. I had been stationed in Germany and also being relocated back to Georgia so that I had my items picked up from the port of Miami. I need to move a whole lot for my job; it is always a last minute decision and I’ve used countless movers through recent years. Some were adequate enough but Western Roadway has exceeded my expectations by far! John was so patient and thorough with me about the telephone…our telephone had to be at least an hour long. The very first thing that amazed me was that American Roadway didn’t overcharge me…so many other people previously have attempted to make the most that I am moving in 5 minutes and upwards the cost but American Roadway did not do that. John was straight forward and honest with me; he gave me a fair cost that was cheap. I really don’t have a great deal of things but it’s all important to me personally and pricey; I needed to be certain that was known. From the end of my conversation with John I was so relieved I did not need to telephone any more movers; John made me feel comfortable and assured that my transfer was in great hands. The real test was the next day once the movers actually came in my condominium.

The men that John delivered were great and really professional. They came at 10am prepared for to work. Before touching any of my things, they did an whole walk-through of my property. They even put all of my boxes in the rooms that they were intended for, rather than leaving all of them in the foyer or living area.

All-in-all, I had been so impressed by American Roadway; they did a fantastic project from beginning to end! I’ll absolutely be giving John a call the next time I need to relocate. This movement has been my worst offenses. Once I was speaking to John Conver, he informed me what I was concerned about wouldn’t occur together. I was worried they wouldn’t send someone outside to poll what we had been moving. When I made the massive mistake of thinking that his promise that he was a specialist in pricing from an internet poll of stock that I dropped it. I was provided a price quote significantly less than half of those additional movers I spoke with. He then explained that they would be moving my things all the way into our newest destination themselves, once I asked if they shifted movers and saved our items in a warehouse. He explained they’ve moving trucks each week that move from Va. into Wyoming and that’s the way they can continue to keep the cost down way.
The day that they arrived to package and load our things we discovered very fast these folks were subcontracted by Roadway. Subsequently anytime I phoned for John Conver, I’d get a phone from Deana. I never could find a hold of him again. Anyhow , my husband ended up at the hospital the week before we were supposed to depart and we were not certain when we might be there in the designated day for delivery nevertheless I told them why somebody could be there. And incidentally, the initial cost quote was below $4000, we finished up having a grand total of over $8000! Scam movers, stay far from them.
What really got me isn’t the John Conver whined, it was that which he didn’t let me. He understood what I had been concerned about, and that I inquired about all these things but he had been an artist salesman that knows how to speak out of the sides of the mouth, to get your confidence, and be so nice and worried that your movement is the most hassle free, or even worriesome partnership for you. They had been also the worst of all.

I’d have been far better off going with a few of those high bids, which from how that they are the only ones that came into our home to cover the stock we needed to package. And had I picked them it could have been more economical than Roadways cost.
I’m astonished at the number of stories here are similar to mine.
WE also had a car moved by them. The initial one they’d lined up’d truck difficulty and thus it took them a week to find somebody else to transfer the car and it was $200 more, that we had no option except to cover cuz brand new owners had obtained possession of their home so we needed to get it transferred. Plus this is a subcontractor also.

After placing my phone number on the internet for a moving quote, I had been totally bombarded with telephone calls. John was the 6th or 7th individual that I talked to and fortunately my hunt ended there. His pricing was very aggressive and he managed to adapt my storage requirements. I had to move from my flat in a week of my initial conversation with John and that I had to have my things stored for a couple of months since I had been planning to be travelling. The movers came to pickup my items at 9am and were packaged and filled with noon. I included a couple of pieces of furniture that afternoon that they adapted for no extra price. The men were very helpful and very friendly.
I’ve moved a couple of times so I understand occasionally a scrape on the ground or the wall could occur but it was pristine. The men who moved out my things were quite seasoned and did such a fantastic job. The moment I moved in my new home a few months after , I called John and he ordered for my delivery to arrive only a couple days after. My very first month of storage was even free of charge that was an amazing money-saver! American Roadway is your thing to do if you’re arranging a move.

Quoted $1800. Showed up 26 hours late. Price us two days additional lease. Do not have dishpack which has been included in quote. Showed up at a uhaul. Customer support sucked and wouldn’t yield any calls. In the apt well beyond midnight. Now it is gonna price $3000, we had been guaranteed a reduction bc of all of our problems but nobody could tell us just how much. 40$ was our discount. Furniture showed up stained and broken. Boxes smashed. Ex navy. Done lots of moves. Worst ever. Thieves. Don’t trust this organization.

Worst scam ever. Don’t use this organization. I’ve read the prior reviews on this website and had the specific same troubles. More money, more cash. They really held our possessions hostage in Illinois for 4 months. They needed us to cable them an extra $2,000.00 to provide our furniture. We said certainly not. They had our furniture from June 23rd until August 15th. The majority of our possessions were broken. Boxes were totally shattered. Furniture scratched, bent and dented. American Roadway subcontracted our transfer into ABC Moving from Illinois. They had been the worst to take care of. NEVER use both of those firms.

I cannot think this business is permitted to continue to make the most of individuals. STAY AWAY. I’d a 3-bedroom home in Vermont that I’ve lived in for 20+ years so I have gathered a great deal of things at the moment. John took the opportunity to notice that which meticulously like I went room by area of the residence. In the long run, he offered me a price I couldn’t resist. Never have I transferred long distance before so I was worried but the movers came on time and were really professional. They filled my whole home, including an extremely big, and sentimental, 3-piece China Cabinet, in only a couple of short hours. A week after, my things have been sent to me in excellent condition. I started off overly apprehensive and American Roadway made this kind of smooth transition to me personally.

They Dumped my Boxes & Totes about the Driveway, took Off! Guy assured me a test that afternoon for $250, Ran Away. His Boss Yelling at me on phone. Said there was not Any More. 5 Weeks Afterwards, Dumped More of my Possessions on Driveway, such as Boxspring, my Mother’s Antique Rug, Wood Table, NO NOTICE, although I had been at the office, IT RAINED ON ALL– My Mother’s carpeting, Black with mould, destroyed, where in hell they Stored Them.
However, 6 Reputation Lamps, Chairs, Stools, additional Furniture missing, NEVER FOUND, needed to predict American Roadways May, June, July, Aug.. Sept. to receive my poor $100 test WHOOPEE! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE BROKERS, AND DO NOT CARE—— ALL TALK!!!!!!!

Buyer beware. Among the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. Not only did they harm every bit of furniture but things were also lost. This furniture was in my family for more than 80 decades. They didn’t even attempt to discover the missing bits. This began at June 2017 and still not solved. Warning. . .do not utilize this organization or any agent. They don’t care when they obtain their cash.

Wish I discovered this site before moving because I do not have sufficient disappointing items to say about American Roadway Van Lines. I moved from Boston to LA and the whole procedure was a nightmare because of this corporation. As other reviews point out, they’re a Broker Company and would be the most sloppy, confused group! Everyone I dealt with from sending to the moving truck business to the movers were incompetent, disrespectful, and unapologetic for their activities. Let us begin with dispatch: would not return my calls confirm details like the day movers were forthcoming, what time movers were coming, payment forms, etc.. The sales man who signs the price for you literally will vanish when the contract has been signed. The moving business: seemed to have zero communicating with the shipment since they did not come for the afternoon and moment dispatch confirmed. As opposed to come to my flat on Monday, 7/10 between 3pm and 7pm, they arrived on Tuesday, 7/11 at 6:30pm. Neither dispatch nor the moving firm contacted me on 7/10 to notify me that they were not coming, and then on 7/11 I had been assured they’d be in my location by 3pm and they arrived at 6:30pm. The movers: the movers that delivered my things in LA not: 1 ). Notified me that they were even in transit from NY to LA 2. Did not call me 24 hours before coming, or even an hour before coming (which can be laid out from the contract) but known as FIVE MINUTES prior to arriving at my location. . .and that was five days ahead of my possessions were even assume to get there in LA.. To make matters worst, in my way to my flat (fortunately I managed to leave work early) they always threaten to depart for San Diego when I did not appear for the time that satisfied them. To make things even worst, they broke my own mirror, refused to transfer my furniture although I paid extra for packaging and packaging services, billed me $500 over the non-binding cost, and reduction a few of my things. Not surprisingly, though I filled out all of the essential paperwork and delivered the necessary documents to get a refund because of my mirror and dropped things, dispatch never reacted. DO NOT GO WITH THIS SERVICE

Do not believe anything that they say. Roadway Van Lines is a BROKER and some other dedication they make concerning service delivery or pick-up was designed to make you sign contract. When you receive contract it will state that they have 21 days to provide. They’ll say that is simply to pay mechanical breakdown and weather. Do not believe them. They didn’t fulfill their dedication. I needed to cover a 30% premium to the trucking company so as to receive them to provide in just three days of their consented to shipping date. Do not think this things? Try living from luggage at a hotel when awaiting your things.

A NIGHTMARE! Sent an 18 wheeler when expressly said wouldn’t match, maybe not the alotted space guaranteed, outsourced movers from Craigslist, movers automobile broke down in the front of our property, couldn’t understand motorist, hours late and days behind, still loading at 2AM! This firm out sources that their job then you will never be able to get ahold of these afterwards! John Conway didn’t care to resolve one or more one of these horrible errors!
