I jumped from Iowa, USA to Dublin, Ireland earlier this year and used that provider. I’d consult with them because borderline criminally negligent: discounted emails, wrong/lost paperwork, and incommunicado by neighborhood Irish transport representatives for WEEKS before I needed to depart risks of legal actions via VMs to make them respond. The community Irish transport agents stated they have a horrible reputation and they had had trouble with them earlier. I wish I had done considerably better search before I proceeded together – they had been a workout in long, deep frustration and anxiety. The one thing that I CAN say is that our things got to us totally packaged and undamaged, whihc is simply a testament to this regional Iowa staff that packaged it, along with the shippers in the S. Carolina shore. SMG is just a planner – a TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, APPALLING explanation to get a planner. Do your own homework and pay a small extra for reassurance. These men are hacks.
Inspired by friends, I’m having the worst experience with this organization and it isn’t my very first movement.
Shippingmygoods.com assessed the cubic feet quote (193 cubic feet rather than 100 cft) two weeks when they picked up my merchandise, although I’d communicated to them until the pickup date exactly what I had been sending with all measurements. Before they picked up my merchandise, I chose to go together since their quote was significantly lower compared to the kinds of other moving businesses.
But here’s the thing: today that they have my merchandise, they’re sending me a statement with a cost over 4 times greater than the one that I had been quoted for ($5,743.90 rather than $1,390). They’ve come to be the very expensive moving business. How easy! It’s been 2.5 months that they picked up my merchandise and I really don’t know whether I will ever see them again. The business is maintaining them hostage until I cover the invoice that they more than quadrupled.
This is the way they raised the cost:
1) They raised the cubic feet quote without notifying me
2) They included costs that they never told me around (e.g. they stated it’s a door-to-door service but they then billed me for movers)
3) They didn’t honor the insurance quote that they told me concerning
4) They didn’t honor the truth that their speed Contains the standard port and terminal handling charges at destination, which, based on them, is assumed to store roughly 400- 800 euros
5) They had among those firms they work with (Globalog) contact me to charge me the following $928.12 (or else they won’t discharge my merchandise )
Avoid this business!
Worst experience ever. I’m composing. This review to warn others so that they do not need to suffer what I just went through for almost 1 year of frustration, no communication, and being held hostage to those awful peoople. I had been overcharged and compensated concealed prices over and above again, but I am quite exhausted and tired with this business, I can’t fight any longer.
I signed up the contract and paid my deposit to get my items moved back in May 2019. March 28, 2020, my items came completely shattered to S. Korea.
Throughout the close year of nervous waiting, paying, attempting to convey, I went through so much distress. I tried constantly to be patient, considerate, friendly, however none of it worked to receive my items in undamaged and safe.
I am not chasing getting cash back since I can’t bear coping with these more. I recommend you to read their testimonials on several websites – I’m not the only person that has endured this. I’ve composed the Better Business Bureau and documented them – they shouldn’t be in company. These individuals are taking money and destroying people’s lives. I feel so cheated and angry. I’ve been so mad over and over again. I attempted to provide them the benefit of doubt to the conclusion, but viewing the condition of how my furniture came after nearly a year of waiting without a response to my pleas and requests into the whereabouts of my possessions and paying almost twice what I had been quoted, I just can’t stand by and do nothing.
What an horrible experience we had with our global shipment through Transport My Goods and the insurance cover in Anova that Shipping My Goods guided us to buy, to seemingly protect us.
We have many problems…
– The removalist utilized to package our products abandoned a 3rd of them behind and nobody contacted us to let us understand
– 1/3 of this container of products were broken or damaged due to poor packaging
– Shipping My Goods advised us to buy ANOVA All Risk Insurance however there wasn’t any point in buying insurance via ANOVA, notably their”All Risk Insurance” because you aren’t insured for chipping, denting, scratching etc…. but that is not the very mind-blowing component, you truly don’t have any protection against harm”UNLESS ITS PROVEN TO BE CAUSED BY IDENTIFIABLE INCIDENT.” This 1 sentence permits them to escape from any claim you might make, since you do not and can not travel along with your shipment, so they triumph and take your hard earned cash each moment, leaving you without a NO PROTECTION and NO recourse for payment for your damaged products.
– I had no chance to read the fine print of this advised insurance coverage as Transport my great, didn’t supply although it had been requested for in over two emails.
– We’re $4K from pocket since we had been forced to cover another 20f dispatch
– We’ve got $8,000+ of broken or damaged goods
WHAT A HORID EXPERIENCD… I FEEL TRICKED and MISS LEAD
Our initial estimate of $1380 to send seven 50 pounds. Boxes into Spain in Arizona was upped another few hundred bucks for obese fees when the boxes were picked up. The shipment arrived in our home in Spain 2 and also half an hour after the agreed date. We also were slapped with a $330 VAT and duty charge that ShippingMyGoods ultimately deducted us (they’d promised that their initial quote comprised all prices and that there would be no extra fees). Ultimately, one of those boxes came open and together with half of those contents lost (see photographs ). We’d”complete loss” insurance- that the only one self-packers are permitted – so no reimbursement for this, only a”we´re sorry” by the business. Dozens of mails and global telephone calls to attempt and sort out things, so complete the whole experience was disappointing, to say the very least.
I allow you to judge:
Beginning cost $1673 + $150 insurance (2m3) TTC
For door to door with no port or customs charges.
After shifting:
+ $300 for packaging prices by Globalog
+ $228 to pick up my items at Rotterdam (Company Globalog)
1 thing of Amazing value 5700 $ ruined
1 box”missing” (Sound pub TV)
The”Total missing” insurance in $150 only reimburses in the event of total loss…
5 weeks to Recoup my possessions (Texas into France)
Shabby communication along with also a hundred mails
Thank you a lot for all your job!
I am completely pleased with the support provided! Good men and women! Wonderful support! Super!!!
Moved from Arizona into Sweden. Business was upfront with all the charges, but needed to make a little adjustment because of change of vent for your container. Moving and forwarding firms in both the US and Sweden were very professional and useful. Our things including our automobile arrived safely and in good shape. It took 8 weeks from door to door.
This is a great company I’m reviewing – they’re professional and meticulous and comprehensive.
My products were picked up in this a deflecting , out of the way city in the boondocks, I believed that I would need to help them find a trucking company who had really heard of the place.
The operation has been quite easy and simple – they have good practice and a terrific team-work,’can do’ attitude.
I wholeheartedly recommend them.
ShippingMyGoods helped us go from New York to London. This procedure took 10 months and we had been quite happy with the state that our possessions were at when they came. Nothing was lost and they’d separately wrapped delicate things in newspaper. We ordered a quotation of $1500 that was founded on estimations and compensated $300 at a deposit to start the processing. SMG were professional and productive. We picked the door to door choice employing a sea freight services. We also employed their packaging support (for an extra fee) since the value of these merchandise had been high and we needed to be in a position to file for insurance if we ever had to. The business arranged for the shipment to occur on a particular date and were careful and prompt whilst still loading the van. They awakened and branded every box, that has been helpful when all came in London. The complete weight following packaging was 131 cubic feet and also this employed two pallets. SMG delivered us the updated bill of $1900 together with particulars of payment immediately, which meant that they might get off it to Charleston, US as quickly as you can. In this time period, we had been filling in comprehensive itemized inventory list that was required from the Customs Declaration facet in the united kingdom. We were then provided a particular date which the boat would arrive at Southampton, UK although not provided a tracking number. Customs clearance took two weeks and HMRC billed #265. Globalog eased this. Subsequently came Seavia and Relocations Direct. We ordered a delivery date however, it needed to alter last minute since the tractors were wrapped together that then would not match on the van. Though this was slightly bothersome, Seavia discovered an answer very fast and professionally. Our possessions came at 8am to the curbside the following morning and we were overall quite delighted with this support. Highly Suggest ShippingMyGoods.
Moved from California to the UK, quite educated, about all fees upfront unlike other businesses. Saved me a lot of money.
We transferred in Philadelphia, PA to Switzerland at Nov. 2015. We weren’t moving furniture so that we were trying to find a limited support. We’re also looking for quite a basic service because we had been hoping to spend less. Shippingmygoods.com (SMG) provided 100 cubic feet for about $1350 together with the notion being that we package our things to moving boxes and then stack up it on a regular shipping pallet with the entire thing being shrink-wrapped collectively for dispatch. We were not certain how it would all turn out however 3 weeks after we got all of our stuff in excellent state for a last cost of approximately $1500 which comprised several taxation and customs charges. The rep, Howard, has been very friendly. He was not terribly easy to get a grasp of because he always looked super busy but once I did catch him online he had been quite attentive.
There are a couple of things that I need to emphasize about our expertise. To begin with, SMG is a broker – that the true moving was completed by means of a set of companies that they sub-contracted with. This ceremony is inexpensive because our material has been shipped as ordinary cargo. The very first element was a little unnerving – They shipped me sending labels that I placed on all of the boxes and then I introduced the boxes myself to a manicured yard out Philadelphia where, following a few confused looks in the team, I had been handed a dictionary along with a roster of plastic and that I piled and wrapped the boxes myself. The trucking business they picked wasn’t entirely pleased to learn that I had been sending household products but they did shoot my own things. From there since I know it moved into a company named Globalog which managed the true sea transport. This was postponed as our substance was designed to leave in South Carolina and they’d quite severe flood that ravaged the entire state. Our stuff spanned roughly 8-9 weeks later we dropped off it in that lawn in Philadelphia. Next was a British firm, YFT Lgistics Ltd. which obtained our possessions and sent it out through truck into Switzerland. The passing of management from company to business was rather smooth it appeared. We could change the shipping address after the things sent (we stayed with family in the beginning and finally found an apartment) and it all worked. As maintained that our pallet of boxes has been dropped in the sidewalk facing the new location at which was it.
I believe that it’s very important to state that a part of why this worked well for us was that we were quite educated about knowing the way that worked and exactly what we had to do to ensure it is a hit. Howard from SMG was really good about describing everything and answering all of our questions regarding what had to be carried out. If we’d screwed up the tagging or the packaging or the customs statement then we’d probably haven’t had as great of an encounter.
