The salesman in Orion was great, Erik gave a Great quote.   However, the other movers didn’t appear on time and everything was good except in the end they stated that their big truck Wouldn’t fit in the condominium community we had been going into and They’d need to charge us more to move to a bigger truck.   As they’d our destination speech for two months before pickup, they need to have understood concerning the truck dimensions and not needed to gun us to get more cash. In 5pm, Kevin Scott calls to notify me that this brand new driver was only picked up from the DOT for driving over his extended hours…. He is not coming. Kevin Scott has been flummoxed. He offered me no choices and indicated that my family (partner and 8 year old) remain with relatives or friends before he could get a new driver. He did not appear to know I had a responsibility receive my 900 cubic feet of possessions from the NYC apartment. Really?
At a furious scramble, I leased the previous 17 ft u-haul truck at Brooklyn. I hired 5 guys at 19.95 a hour every day to load my truck and I drove that truck that the 960 kilometers to Wisconsin. The transfer cost me over $4000. Two months after I came at WI, I got a check from Verizon Van Lines at the amount of my deposit with a lot as a consequence of apology. 
I’ve registered a complaint with the Florida Better Business Bureau (BBB Case Number 90168306). Kevin Scott’s first reply was that his contract specifies that he’s not accountable for anything (I am paraphrasing) which he really comes with a 30 day window to pickup and send, whatever’s been advised. Seriously?! I know with this at a contract to guard yourself, but to hide behind this and don’t have any sense of customer support is unforgivable to me personally.
Even the Florida Better Business Bureau has got no answer to my next reaction to Kevin Scott. The deadline for him to answer because of his firm has passed along with the BBB has tagged my criticism as”UNRESOLVED.” To put it differently, Kevin Scott and his firm simply don’t care.
I don’t believe Orion Van Lines for a moving business in the feeling that they have trucks and movers in their instant disposal and at direct use. I think that this really is, instead, a few Craigslist design performance where Kevin Scott subcontracts, outsources tasks to separate drivers and also you get exactly what you get. Orion’s customer support is just good until there’s an issue and they proved to me that they’re not ready at all to handle problems if they arise.

It is too bad that Nicole isn’t the entire business. . .because she’s great–comprehensive and prompt.  But when Orion contracted out to Schneider Van Lines, that is where the problem started.  Schneider was hard to contact, impolite to manage, unreliable, and then sent a motorist on his initial run to create my delivery with just 1 helper.  The motorist found two men of questionable ethics on Craigslist and first started their delivery in 10pm.  And ended at 5am.  Left an costly dolly/handtruck along with a dozen going blankets here. That is where the real fun started.  We found ourselves overlooking 2 boxes. . .interestingly among fine liquors and the opposite of my son camcorder.  Difficult to think coincidence when it is tonly hese two sticks from a 180. Kevin, of Orion Van Lines, will finally be done in by his own insecurities and anger.  He performs like he know your plight/anger/frustration but he then verbally explodes whenever you don’t receive satisfaction in your own claims.  I filed my claim [full with notarized types and photographs ] to them along with their insurance provider over 30 days.  Insurance managed their conclusion immediately and according to the letter of this law. . Here is my final email to them. . .kind of sums it all up…”Nicely performed gentlemen.  Let us see…you first received the CARGO and also DAMAGES insurance claims from mid-July.  Even though the freight portion was badly but immediately paid, you jerked me about until the end of August.  As soon as I pushed back in my’discussions’ with Kevin, he determined he would no more work together when I contended that we’re eligible for more than the provided $325, and then upped to $375 bucks [if Kevin said that he’d also kick at $50 of his own to finish this].  Hmmm.  And yet, anger and bitterness got the top of Kevin once more and again he cut short our dialogue.  So I did exactly what I need to have done all together…. I re-contacted Michelle @ Vanliner Insurance.  It took a lot of 10 times to acquire the claim processed, and difficulty solved, and assess cut.  And I got a much better payment of $450 in the mail.  Ten times…really difficult to trust.  And that my son gets his butt and knife and case and sheath all mended.  All I ever asked for.  And better yet, I didn’t need to register on anything.  Which leaves me totally free to allow the world know exactly how Orion and Schneider managed my June move.  Right around the September settlement of all they mishandled.  No worries, I’ll share only the facts and just the facts.  No editorializing is even necessary. Nicole, you’re professional and comprehensive in our very first dialogue.  Unfortunately you cannot manage everything and deserve a much more professional area of occupation.  Kevin, I forecast that it will become your betrayal and anger which finally does your company in…quit pretending that you are working to your clients and get their best interests in mind.  You do not.  Ivan, I cannot even start to comment in your company…from the motorists that you employ, to creating deliveries at the middle of the nighttime, to leaving things behind, to employing helpers located on Craigslist to market.  If Orion is in any way smart, they will NEVER EVER deal outside a transfer for you. IVAN, I’ve also allow you to know for over 10 months that I’ve moving blankets along with a hand truck here.  I’ve asked that arrangements have been made for their own pickup.  This has been discounted.  If nothing is organized at the end of September, then I’ll be disposing of those products.  Wonder what these can bring on Craigslist? Yea, I understand, it is your busiest time of year.  Well, perhaps not for more.” Nuf said.  DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHANCES.
