I do not often write reviews, but this encounter was my worst fear of hiring a moving business. This is only one of the most dishonest businesses I’ve ever encountered and I have never felt more taken advantage of.

We engaged them to get a brief notice move after discussions with”Ron” about stock. We told them that their quote for boxes, space and weight were reduced, and they adjusted their quote upward so. They were still lower than our following quotation by roughly $1,000, and Ron promised us he’d”be with us each step along the way to guarantee a wonderful experience”.

After the movers arrived we found that lots of the alterations to the stock we discussed were not revealed in the stock they showed up with. They advised that the quote was incorrect, along with a new price that has been more than twice the previous estimate was introduced. Since we had been in a vulnerable place and functioning on a brief timeline, we met them at the center and consented to pay $3k longer to get a”flat rate” transfer which comprised a guaranteed delivery date. After we signed up the adjusted contract we mentioned and initialed this change on the shipping form, along with also the foreman crossed out the extra possible charges recorded on multiple kinds, noting that these wouldn’t apply as a result of the negotiated level rate. We found later that this wasn’t reflected the exact same fashion on the primary contract despite being shared liberally for hours and represented on multiple supporting files signed by people.

Within our planned delivery date we had been required for an extra $2k to get a”shuttle” (that was recorded in their itemized type as a possible price tag of $750, but had been explicitly crossed out by their own foreman rather than appropriate under the flat rate). They required that this previous payment in money or postal money order so that it cannot be contested or traced. We finally agreed to the need since it appeared we had no option so as to receive our possessions back. They never showed up to send, however, and we were left wondering whether our possessions would ever be returned to us, or, if they’d arrive damaged (many did).

Along with requiring extra funds and threatening to sue us in multiple factors, they also seem to have substituted the kind of contract which was shipped with their quotation (which we examined in detail) with new types for your”adjusted quotation” onsite. Very similar to other reviews I’ve observed, they hurried us through the signing up procedure once we arrived to an arrangement. At each stage we reached them out we had been pointed in another way – by”Ron” into”Kim” into the Foreman into the motorist that has refused to provide his name and hung up on us. With each question all them stated that they weren’t accountable and couldn’t give us an upgrade or make conclusions. They each pointed the finger at one another because the liable party or the person who can give us advice and/ or resolve our concern. The driver at the same stage called and informed us he’d be here in 20 minutes to send, then 20 minutes later called to tell us that he had been downstairs (our home does not have a downstairs entry ). Then he said”oops that was for another client” and laughed at me as he explained he would not be delivering our products as agreed in any way.

I’m a professional that must have known better than to participate after the initial modification to this quotation, but I put my apprehension apart since I had been in a challenging place and also on a tight deadline — pity on me. We made mistakes during this procedure, yet this firm took advantage of us in each turn. They are now threatening to sue me for post honest testimonials – calling me a liar and saying they never committed to the shipping date or the fixed speed.

Consumers need to have access to the information, and that I refuse to be threatened into silence. It has cost us considerably, both in fiscal and psychological terms, and that I hope that my review may stop others from being taken advantage of how we’ve been.
