    Long-distance move from Washington DC
    AWFUL!!!

I frankly wish I would have seem up this place prior to scheduling my movement for this dreadful business. I moved to my flat on Friday and was the worst going experience. I predicted a month ago to receive a quotation and then secure a date to the movement in. I talked with the supervisor who requested me in particular information about my movement. I informed him that I have a bedroom plus a living area that has to be filled up. He promised me the transfer could be 3 hours two movers $70 a hour and a 1 time truck charge of $70 for a total of 290. After the rudest mover I have ever met Peter came he explained that this is going to be a 5 hour job and that I told him I’ve been speaking to his boss several occasions for the last month and he also promised me no longer than 3 so he billed my account for 3 months. Allow me to tell you they took their slow time packing everything up I even walked in on him sitting in my bedroom floor onto his telephone LOOKING AT A PICTURE OF MY LICENSE AND CREDIT CARD. YES you read that correctly that he took an image of my private details on his mobile phone. I should have known right then and that is just how sketchy this location had been. Peter refused to carry my things which were delicate like his mirror, photos, and tvs since he said he doesn’t need to be liable should they violate because whenever they do the cash is coming from his paycheck. What type of dumb moving service is that where they cannot secure the things they put in their truck??? I had a large bag filled with dishes that I advised him is quite fragile and quite heavy so I can’t take it at my car it must go in the vehicle and they must be cautious. If they were eventually done packaging up everything I went out for my car to drive for my new flat that he comes up to me and says that he had been awarded a $70 ticket plus he’s going to put it to my invoice. I had been totally FURIOUS since I never once told him to park illegally on the road and that I refused to cover. Then I went into the flat in which he stopped in a girls home ten minutes off to get a mirror I bought and although my flat has been 20 minutes away in my previous flat as well as the mirror had been situated 10 minutes down the street it still took him AN HOUR to get into my new flat. When Peter finally came he told him he must come in the reception so that the concierge may describe to him just how to work with the skillet. He was so rude to her and kept stressing her telling that he understands exactly what to do and he has worked with this building earlier. Therefore, even though he says that he understands exactly what to do he left the other side of the building and also attempted moving my furniture in through the reception and also the royal told him he can not do this. Then he pulled me into the side and stated we will need to complete the paperwork until he proceeds. He proceeds to provide a charge of $360 for 3 longer!!! I was mad since I told him I’m not paying that I don’t want 3 hours that I want two so that the total must be $140. Peter then says that no this may require 3 more hours that is $210 and that I included on the 1 time truck charge of $70 and the $70 parking ticket I’ve got. I begin screaming telling him that I already paid the truck charge this morning and again I did not let you park illegally I’m not paying to get the parking ticket. Then he says f*** it and walks off and says that he isn’t moving my things. Now I was perplexed and followed him to find out where he had been moving so he begins carrying my possessions off the truck and informs his employee to help him because he begins throwing my items on the face of the building. The concierge sees and hears him telling him to cease and he says he can not leave your things here and that I try telling him he said that and he says I don’t care. Peter has been really competitive with my possessions throwing them around the floor at the same stage his employee had to let him stop this isn’t mandatory calm down. Since I was asking him to stop he just intentionally disregarded me calling me a playoff **** several occasions while he proceeded to throw away my things on the floor. As I am asking him to cease and that is in the front of the whole building that was absolutely embarrassing because everybody saw what had been happening. Two different folks and his employee had to interfere requesting him to quit asking exactly what he was doing and that he begins describing a [EDIT] narrative that was not even true. He knew that he had been ripping me off as well as the folks he attempted explaining the narrative to said it doesn’t make sense. I tried calling his boss that I was talking to the last month describing that he’s throwing my possessions on the floor and he states pay your invoice and I describe to him that I don’t have any issue paying for two more hours but he’s charging me an excess truck charge along with his parking ticket. His supervisor then proceeds to inform me that I should have paid to get a parking place for him. ???? I live in NW DC where there’s street parking you can not cover road parking you need to park in which you can that’s legal that he parked illegally in front of a stop signal, HIS BOSS THEN SAYS I DON’T CARE AND HANGS UP ON ME. The people who attempted to intervene were equally as shocked as I had been that a employee was being so disrespectful to me along with also his boss was even worst. At this time I was frustrated and needed my own things moved inside so I just said forget that I’ll cover and file a challenge with my own card business. I said, I could pay approximately ten days and Peter still dismissed me and continue throwing my things on the floor. Another resident cried and stated she’s telling you she’ll cover you so why are you still being so disrespectful. He eventually stopped and looks at me and states are you really going to cover me and that I explained what did I simply say 10 minutes past yes now stop wasting my time and transfer my things off the road. Among those residents remained downstairs together to ensure he doesn’t depart while I go upstairs to get your own card. I return and cover after a hour of doing so back and fourth so he essentially got paid an hour for free for phoning me a b**** and projecting my private possessions on the floor. After the transfer was finally finish I had been overlooking a $90 garbage could they never brought up that frankly likely was stolen since they had my things on the face of the construction for anybody to come to take. Oh and recall those dishes I requested them to be cautious with? As soon as I opened the bag I had two broken plates, 1 broken glass, and 1 broken wine glass. I could honestly say that this was the worst going experience I’ve ever had and also recommend everyone NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! They’re a complete rip off may provide you a quotation and not actually stay with this. There’s simply no reason the two bedrooms should have taken 6 hours to perform. The only good part about the movement was that the employee James. He saw exactly how Peter had been treating me and tried intervening many occasions and Peter had been a whole d*** into James essentially telling him I’m your boss you really do exactly what I say. If James weren’t there or I obtained a employee very similar to Peter things would have been much worst. I had many people witness what occurred and asked me that they are so they could guarantee they never conduct business together. I submitted this identical review to our neighborhood board of the apartment building so everybody can see exactly what a joke and a scam those individuals are. MAKE Sure That You Do NOT EVER HIRE THEM!

    Thieves

They will rob you blind, and throw it into a warehouse then laugh at it once you attempt to get anything. Or they will charge you ridiculous hidden charges you were not informed about. Or possibly if they are feeling like being additional giant [EDIT] stains. Never trust them. This whole business is really a disgusting scam and must be shut down, and their owners charged and thrown to rot in prison.

    Long-distance move from Washington DC
    Hidden costs and unprofessional

I Got the first quotation from City Movers DC, using Thumbtack.   I talked with Andrey Ov, who lent me $240 to get a transfer they suggested would require 3-4 hours.   That sounded reasonable in comparison to other moving companies.   But, Andrey wouldn’t commit to the 240 in writing.   My movers were scheduled to be at my flat at 3:00.   They have been an hour late.   A guy by the name of Petro (also Called Peter) Kavalnyov came with two other guys to run my movement.   The initial receipt didn’t signify that the moving firm was”City Movers DC” however Hercules Services LLC.

It had been apparent, immediately, the two other guys Don’t Have Any expertise moving furniture or packaging up a moving truck.   In Reality, among the movers suggested this was the very first time he had worked together with Peter.   The 3 guys were slow and awkward, Sometimes, together with my furniture.   The Whole packing process took approximately 3 hours, so that I know we will already be within the first scheduled time (reason why Andrey would not devote $240 in writing).   Once I escort the 3 guys, along with the truck, to my brand new flat, Peter required payment prior to unloading.   He totaled up the charges and arrived in the amount 829.   Peter billed me $170 in ancillary fees, such as $35 to get a used TV box (that he took with him in the end of the transfer ).   He also billed $80 for a hour of traveling, and it was a 20 minute drive to my new apartment.   There is also a 19% tax, It’s uncertain exactly what this tax would be for.   He threatened to push off with my possessions, taking them hostage, as I had been talking with him about his business practices.   I had been told I could pay by credit card, but once I noticed he had been using wax paper to kickstart my name and credit card number off, I denied, and paid money.   The movers also told me they’d build my furniture, but they abandoned everything unassembled and at a Variety of areas in the flat.   The hidden costs of the move complete over $400, and Peter was quite aggressive towards myself and my girlfriend after I confronted him about it.

Absolutely Horrible and Wretched and the Worst

Absolutely dreadful!   Please recall!!!   We read the testimonials, but proceeded with what we believed were the most economical.     Quotation was 240 for 3 movers, however real cost was $980 for two clumsy movers.   Each and every piece of furniture has been damaged and a few pieces of crystal have been ruined and lamps have been broken.   So, the real price was well over $2000.   They’re slow and awkward.   If you want entertainment, see the 3 stooges!   Do not let them close to your items.    This was be the most costly and horrible movement ever since it had been a waste of time which price money!!!!!

    Great movers!

We hired City Movers DC to maneuver our two bedroom flat in Washington, DC into Virginia. This was undoubtedly the most coordinated, smooth and pleasant moving experience we have ever had. The team was on time, friendly, professional, quite efficient and attentive.  They did the packaging and delivered everything as though it wasn’t touched. I believe that the lead guy has quite excellent leadership qualities and therefore was the team. We had a little difficulty getting a place for him to playground, however he managed to move his way to a place where he would fill items. They functioned none cease and also had the truck loaded and prepared to go at a little more than two weeks. The unloading was performed economically too. We’d reserve them again, no questions.

    SCAM

Don’t USE! That really is a scam. I phoned them up and talked about the pricing, some thing which I confirmed many times via email and phone. I had been told it’d be a $70 one time transport price and $70 a month for 2 movers.    Sounded like a excellent deal except that they wouldn’t provide me the paperwork ahead of time. This was only provided if the movers came, and if they were around the clock. Again, I had been told exactly the very same rates. After we arrived in my new flat and also with all of my possessions on the vehicle, I had been providing the payment sheet. This sheet recorded an extra $150 for”packaging materials”. I had a television and a desk which demanded bubble wrap and tape. This was all. When I brought it up which I Wasn’t informed about that, they explained it had been too late.   I called the office the following day and that I payed me lip service and never called me again. Apparently he believed that a tiny bit of tape and bubble wrap had been worth 150…. Please don’t give this business your company. The notion of them going bankrupt keeps me warm during the night.

However, later utilizing City Movers DC, I determined I won’t ever go for another moving business later on. They were very professional and supplied me with all the very best services. They came on time and worked hard from begin to finish. They were also very aggressive so much as the cost was worried. Will recommend to all of my buddy and co-workers!!!

    Thieves and Scammers

This Compnay is currently operting beneath City Movers DC however they have been Hercules Services LLC. The motorist Petro Kovalnyov picked up a truck load of the product and dissappeared. That which we did recover in the subsequent four trucks is ruined and poorly preserved. Their insurance company claims they wrote the coverage so that it doesn’t cover to anything..certainly not damge or theft or loss- unworthy. They’re scammers- many sites, telephone numbers and addresses all major back to same 3 men – ripping off people. Fundamentally, they slip, they aren’t guaranteed and they do it on purpose. Stay away!
