Texas Van Lines sounded great on the web and in phone conversations, however, the way they handled our movement out of San Antonio, TX, to Jacksonville, FL, was a nightmare.
Despite a binding quote of 2260, the last price was $3320.25.
Even though the content of these boxes we packed were undamaged, everything they packaged came damaged, many boxes were dropped and among those delivery/unloading employees threatened us! “Listen to me! Discover what I am saying. Do not whine!! You hear me? Yes? You hear me?!” , while waving his finger into my husband’s face. Our possessions were unloaded in Florida from a U-Haul attached to some pickup truck — jammed, smashed and crumpled — even though they left Texas at a large moving van.
The business reacted to our complaint/report and our promise for $3,507 value of damages by requesting us to file a number of accounts, submit photos, etc…. then, after a long time, provided us a $64 settlement! Beware.
Oh, they also left us somebody else’s big floor carpet and refused to carry it back. It is still waiting (four weeks later) — too thick for us to proceed.
This provider means despair for virtually any customer. I’m filing complaints with different government offices.
