    Long-distance move from Maryland
    NIGHTMARE !

HORRIBLE ! THE WORST MOVERS EVER, NEGATIVE ZERO STARS ! DO NOT TRUST BESTWAY MOVING !  I transferred from MD. into FL. on 9/28/14. Bestway struck an 18th century sofa,I’ve lost things, many broken Products.   To top it all off, just one mover showed up in the last destination to transfer my things into the house. The remainder NEVER ARRIVED. The reason why I had a man, since HE DROVE THE TRUCK. How foolish is that. This firm is a RIPOFF,WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I filed a claim and never heard back anything. I dropped a 4,000 classic couch.DON’T GET USED, DON’T utilize BESTWAY MOVERS!  I used to make use of a moving co. years back and now have NEVER found anything like BAD as this TWO FACED business.  The one thing I’m proud of, the NIGHTMARE is finished! (I gave 1 star because I do not think you can post without)Frank

    Dishonest movers

BestWay Movers are extremely unprofessional. They misquoted the transfer, kept my home hostage, attracted it a week later than anticipated. Things were broken, and never crated and managed by day employees they picked up off the road when they came in AZ.. They gathered their money and went to depart without building the furniture that they took aside in VA.. Horrible experience!

    Long-distance move from Virginia
DISHONEST & SHADY - DO NOT USE

We needed to transfer some of my spouse’s furniture out of storage in Virginia to our home in Missouri.   When we finally chose to proceed with BestWay Transferring, Mr. Marc Poe, the Relocation Advisor was as friendly and courteous as might be.   But then the week of this move came along with the issues began First, Mr. Poe predicted a Couple of days prior to the movement to Find out if we can reschedule the movement to get a day after.   As it had been no Issue, we consented.   We had been given no justification for its reschedule. My spouse met the movers in the storage device.   Based on her they showed up in a truck using an”BestWay” sign taped to the door.   Among those gentlemen appeared in the estimate after loading the truck and told my wife the quote seemed right.   When we obtained the breakdown, the cost had gone up since the burden was now 1000 pounds over the quote. Considering All of the furniture matches in 1 area in our basement, I firmly question what obtained weighed in the toilet Aside from the furniture.   We did get a bit of furniture (a little CD rack) that did not belong to my spouse. My spouse and I moved to Florida and also the afternoon we got there I got a call in the driver telling me that he had been in Illinois and could be bringing the furniture the Following Day in AM.   When I told him we weren’t home and he mumbled something and wrapped. Then I got a call from Mr. Poe, who advised me they’d be bringing the furniture the Following Day and our only other alternative was paying an Additional 300 for storage (and the rest was up to us to get the furniture into our house ).   Throughout the”fine phase” prior to the transfer, Mr. Poe & I’d spoken concerning shipping.   Mr. Poe told me he’d personally call me if the furniture left his own centre and was enroute. When I brought up this, Mr. Poe Said that he did not have that in his notes.   When I asked him when he had been calling me a liar, he began yelling and explained that when it wasn’t in his notes that he could not be convinced of what was stated.   Then he told me that he generally calls IF He’s at the workplace when a shipment leaves.   Our pet sitter managed to get the furniture but we needed to wire the money for her accounts and hassle her to visit the bank and all of the fees related to wire transfers. I phoned Mr. Poe to inform him someone could be home to receive the furniture and that I brought up All of the trouble we’d been through – from rescheduling the pickup to the wire transfer charges, etc..   Mr. Poe stated he’d see what he can do to help out us and that he had different choices to chose from. Obviously, following the driver was compensated, we had no additional contact from Mr. Poe & we did not observe some of those”choices” he talked about. Bottom line – DO NOT USE THEM.   They’re among the most dishonest outfits I’ve ever dealt with and can care less about the client.

    Long-distance move from Virginia
    Completely Untrustworthy and Unprofessional!

Mr. Jerry Margolin, Bestway’s Revenue Manager: the master of delay and obfuscation, using a entire disregard for his client’s satisfaction. He’s a scallywag, a scoundrel, a miscreant, and rapscallion. He’s just like a villain at a Dickens novel, and completely lacking in character. He and his firm haven’t even a modicum of concern or care for their clientele. A complete lack of communication can also be evident. Like many other men and women who’ve submitted comments about Bestway, I also have been totally disappointed with this provider. They don’t have any credibility. They utterly don’t stand behind their services. I’d strongly urge anybody who’s trying to find movers to employ somebody else. I signed up a contract for $2,404.58 using Bestway Moving to send my household things from Virginia to California on May 15, 2013, together with the shipment coming on June 2, 2013. I didn’t have much, only a mattress, bedroom furniture, and pubs mainly. Upon review, I discovered a few problems: 1) The mattress framework for the queen-sized mattress was lost and never sent. 2) The box spring to get the mattress had several dark, greasy spots, and one corner of the box spring has been flexed. How could dark spots look on a box spring, even as it had been completely wrapped in plastic for security? Why did someone seemingly un-wrap it throughout the movement then re-wrap it? 3) A publication case was ruined, along with a shelf in the bookcase was lost rather than delivered. 4) A vacuum cleaner which was sent was not delivered. Possibly worst of all, almost all of the 40 or so boxes which were sent was opened, re-boxed, and then delivered at a water-logged state, with severe water damage. These boxes contained clothing, books, personal items, kitchen products, bedding, etc., which were completely ruined. There was dirt, leaves, grass and mold and mildew on lots of the clothing. The boxes also had a moldy odor. It was completely disgusting and incredible to have those ancestral possessions treated with this kind of carelessness and delivered in this type of condition. Virtually everything needed to be chucked.
It had been like I’d paid Bestway the complete contract price of $2,404.58 to ruin these products. If I desired my home goods ruined, I might have done it myself for free with no ripped-off by Bestway and Mr. Margolin. Again, I repeat: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!
As poor as that experience was, what followed has in many ways been worse. Despite many phone calls and mails on Mr. Jerry Margolin, Revenue Manager in Bestway, no excuse for what occurred during the transfer, nor any compensation or restitution, has been supplied by Mr. Margolin despite repeated orders.
Mr. Margolin is completely useless when it comes to providing customer services. Be assured, he’s very pleased to take your cash when you pay for a transfer, but in regards to service after the contract was signed and the cash is in his pocket, he just knows the way to stall, stall, and stall again and again provide no plausible explanation or help with client questions or assist expedite requests for refunds. Mr. Margolin is scheming, manipulative, relishes control, also appears to gleefully enjoy misappropriating money paid to him for a ceremony which has been incredibly poorly delivered. As evidence of the announcement, here is exactly what happened after I obtained the household things that largely had to be thrown off, as a result of utter incompetence of the firm.
First (and this may be the most galling and disappointing of all) I just asked Mr. Margolin to a explanation of what exactly occurred during the movement that resulted in my things to arrive in this type of state, together with almost everything water-logged, ruined, and unusable. He doesn’t and didn’t offer an excuse or even try to learn what happened. His attitude is simply one of”I really don’t care” today that I’ve got your cash. I’ve moved a Lot of times before and understand boxes and so on could get dinged-up, etc., that was far beyond anything I have ever experienced.
Secondly, I promptly filed an insurance coverage, and comprised roughly 90 images of the damaged merchandise to Bestway, requesting a refund of $345, dependent on the typical insurance provided by transferring businesses, at $0.60 per pound sent. I filed this claim on about June 5th 2013. Over two weeks after, I still haven’t got a refund or some other sign of when the cash will be reimbursed. Yes, the insurance claim form states it could take more than 30 times, I had been conscious of that. I had no issue with that. But I should not need to wait over 60 days to get a refund, or to at least receive an indication of if the insurance coverage refund will be coming.   This is a good illustration of Bestway’s extremely bad service and complete lack of customer care.
Third, as a result of deplorable and exceptionally bad support I received from Bestway, I also wrote an email, requesting a refund of two-thirds of their entire contract cost of $2,404, or a refund of $1,611. This sounded reasonable to mepersonally, as almost everything was destroyed or rendered useless upon delivery. While $1,611 would on no account compensate for the market value replacement price of those items which were damaged beyond repair, it might have supplied me with all the essential gratification of knowing Mr. Margolin and Bestway stand behind their support and also the value of the standing.
It’s clear now they don’t appreciate their standing; they appear to exude pleasure in ripping off people, and making sure their clients remain miserable. I’d also have listened to some counteroffer, and possibly have settled for less, but none had been forthcoming, until about a week back when I sent an email to Mr. Margolin, saying if I didn’t possess a satisfactory settlement to those long outstanding issues within a day, after waiting two weeks with no relief or excuse from his or her firm, I’d be pursing relief throughout the BBB, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Maryland Attorney General’s office to file a customer complaint, as summarized below. Only then, did I get a telephone call from somebody at Bestway called”Eugene” who offered to settle with us for $500, that will be only $155 greater than what we’re entitled for a refund under the insurance policy we registered. To put it differently, the insurance provider could have paid $345 of the entire supply of $500. Considering that the losses and damages I endured, I refused this low-ball offer. I created a counter proposal and offered to decrease my petition from $1,611, or two-thirds of their entire contract cost of $2,404 to $1,202, or one-fifth of the contract cost, representing a decrease of $409, that appeared really generous on my part. I gave Bestway 24 hours to consider it and return to me with a response. Holding a low-ball supply of $500 could have become the equal of accepting twenty-one pennies on the dollar, perhaps not even one-fourth of their contract cost. Since just $155 will come from Bestway’s pocket, together with the rest being paid from the insurance provider, it implies Bestway is attempting to pay for six pennies on the dollar ($155 split by $2,404.) Which appears to be a ridiculously low level, given the harm that I endured and the entire absence of professionalism and support that I received from Bestway. The following day, Bestway increased their offer to $600. Again, that’s completely unacceptable, and is actually a sort of slap in the facearea. Naturally, I rejected this offer and will now take pursue different paths to secure some satisfaction. Be assured, I’ve taken the following measures: 1)    Contacted the Maryland Attorney General’s office to file a customer complaint. Bestway is located in Maryland. 2)    Contacted the Better Business Bureau of that Bestway is an associate to also file a complaint. 3)    Contacted the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to file a complaint. 4)    Obviously, I’ll be submitting these comments on this shifting site and other moving sites to dissuade others from utilizing this business. Most assuredly, you, the reader of those remarks will probably be ripped-off should you utilize Bestway. Should you utilize Bestway, plus they hurt your goods, (that can be extremely likely) and you cannot attain a satisfactory decision to getting your money stolen, then you’re allowed to require mediation for an interstate movement beneath the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) legislation. You may get a sample letter to send to Bestway here: http://www.michaelgarcialaw.com/Moving-company-sample-demand-for-arbitration-letter.html. You might even contact and document a complaint against together with the FMCSA by submitting your compliant here: http://nccdb.fmcsa.dot.gov/ DO NOT USE BESTWAY MOVING. THE ONLY GUARANTEE THEY CAN OFFER IS TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND UTTERLY DESTROY AND DAMAGE YOUR GOODS.

    Long-distance move from Virginia
Terrible, Awful, No Good Moving Service.

If I could give zero stars, I’d.1. The organization didn’t arrive inside the window that they said they’d. They were overdue. We had been going to an apartment with a cargo elevator and we needed to book the elevator. This meant that we moved over on our booking period and no more needed the lift reservation in the conclusion of the move. And then the movers billed us over time since the transfer has been 30 minutes on the scheduled time using them… since they were overdue!!! In addition they took forever for our new flat since they stopped for meals on the road so it is not our fault that the moving conducted over the years.2. The man who transferred us was fine. I gave them a wonderful review on the poll since they were hard workers and very considerate.3. Everything seemed nice. We signed all of the documents and also the movers left. Then I started noticing things. The walls were scraped, our wooden bed frame has been scraped. . But that is nothing compared to that which I finally found…4. The movers had concealed all of the harm they’d done.  -Once I opened drawers, I discovered bolts and nuts which belonged to the mattress that they clearly could not determine where they flew so that they hid them at a drawer.-The underside plank of the dresser was broken into half and pushed beneath the dresser so that we would not notice. This usually means that the drawers are currently misaligned in our dresser along with the drawers will not remain in the paths. Therefore that the dresser is futile and we needed to purchase a new dresser.-Our TV rack was essentially ripped in half. They’d clearly dropped it. The very best plank of timber has been ripped off the remaining portion of the television stand and was only put on top.So we filed claims for these problems and came back to see that in the arrangement, damage to scraped wood is not included because scraped wood is indeed”easily ruined.” So for all our harm, we have nothing.NEVER EVER utilize this shifting service.

BestWay Moving LLC - BUYER BEWARE

BestWay Transferring has violated several customer protection criteria, such as bait and change, failure to Satisfy the terms of a contract, failure to supply services paid for, and damage to land not associated with the real transfer (i.e. movers ruined the walls and flooring of their new house we proceeded into), etc..   We had to proceed in June of 2013. I satisfied with the sales representative (who arrived at our house for a visual and movie assessment/estimate ONLY since I asked it, even though the business IS REQUIRED BY FEDERAL LAW to do this when we live–that we did–over 50 kilometers of the company ) who studied our stuff and also provided a written quote. On the afternoon of our relocation, June 23, movers came and loaded and packaged a few of our possessions (that we paid for). After all our stuff were filled, the Agency estimated that the total cost of this transfer could be DOUBLE what the initial quote stated. This meant our sole choice was to say no more and possess everything drifted, or move together with the bait and switch. Some growth in quote is plausible. However, DOUBLE? That is either a classic bait and switch along with the sales man is completely incompetent.   We were initially told our dispatch would load on the 24th or 25th of June. We left behind Illinois ourselves on June 26. About June 27 I talked to the salesman (my sole contact in BestWay) who advised me he’d ship the certified weight tickets and also upgrade about the ETA of the dispatch daily. On the 28th I still had not heard of him. On July first I received the following mail from him (Marc):”The vehicle packed on Sunday. I’m unsure of exactly what team is currently driving. The Drivers title is wasn’t on the paperwork. That’s not a huge deal it only means they shifted motorists The driver will provide you a call and set up a time for delivery. I Believe the shipping will be made on Wednesday.”   Sunday in this circumstance means June 30. Wednesday signifies July 3. But although we had been informed that the dispatch had loaded, which has been a lie.   On July 3 I got this email:”Could I give you a call on Friday? Sorry Michael your substance didn’t load past weekend. It is likely to load that Friday. I am attempting to get matters delivery for you this weekend.  The truck I believed it had been going on was moving into New York.  Sorry about the mix up. I shall call you Friday around 3 pm once I have all of the info. I will find this worked out to you. I’ll see what I will do go get you a Rest on the Purchase Price.”   No cost break has been lengthy.   When it turn out, our dispatch did NOT load on Friday, July 5. It allegedly packed on July 6, however if we talked to the driver that he advised us that he drove a vehicle directly away from Maryland (that is significantly less than the 12 hour excursion, 14-15 hours in the slightest, so it didn’t LEAVE till at least July 9. The movers were supposed to call us 24 hours ahead of schedule delivery. I’ve got this in writing from BestWay.   On the afternoon of July 10 in 8:31AM I got a call in the motorist who stated,”I am 5 hours off.” I had been in a corporate plan meeting and couldn’t leave job; my partner had been home alone with our three dogs, so that my mom had to drive from Madison, Wisconsin to the place to assist her with all the movers. July 10 had been 17 days following our shipment has been removed. BestWay guarantees shipping in 1-14 days into the Midwest. 17 times simplifies the Conditions of the contract.   Besides breaking and or damaging 4-5 pieces of classic furniture, 2-3 pieces of artwork, 4-5 glass things –all of that we paid to get packaged with BestWay, the movers ruined the walls at our recently remodeled house and monitored or spilled petroleum onto a 5-6′ elongate of carpets. That is a recently remodeled rental house that we’re fiscal accountable for.   When my partner saw that the movers were so damaging the walls taking at a desk, she requested them to cease and be cautious. Their answer was:”That is heavy.”   We paid, in money, the entire BALANCE of the total owed (again nearly DOUBLE the initial quote ). The movers wouldn’t unload anything in the truck till we paid. In additon, the movers made many boxes tagged”kitchen” or”toilet” in our own garage , so although we paid for movers, we finally have to transfer these in.   Many pieces of furniture which BestWay disassembled while going weren’t put forth. Other Parts of furniture which were partially disassembled have missing screws and screw, several of which have been custom hardware.     Bestway is operating a scam, also in addition to that a dreadful company which manages customers, violates contracts, and even damages private property. For this date we haven’t got an apology and also have been advised that the”price break” we had been assured may take around 30 times to adjudicate.

    Not to be trusted!

Unscrupulous company! They ruined the walls of the hallway coming my condominium and the walls of the doorway entering my condominium. They assert not being accountable for either. They also ruined my lamp for which they assert no obligation either. They were also 300 bucks over their estimated cost. They should not be reliable and haven’t credibiliy.

    Easy moving experience!

I picked BestWay Moving since they had the best score and comparable cost. I had a very simple movement, however I had a few huge furniture and that I knew I had help. Through no real fault of Marc’s, I needed to alter my transfer date several times due to my program, and every time that I phoned Marc to tell him I had to alter, he was very patient and sweet. Eventually, my transfer date came, and two men (Constantine and yet another man, whose name I forgot) showed up. They backed up the truck in my door, packed all of my things up, drove over to my new location, and transferred all of the things in. I’d tagged the boxes as to where they moved, so that they immediately place them in which they belonged. They were also very fast about disassembling my furniture, and re-assembling my furniture. While I need to proceed, I will definitely be calling BestWay to perform it for me personally.

    BestWay Moving, LLC: STAY AWAY!

I am 33 and that is actually the first time that I have ever posted in this manner, have not submitted reviews of: hotels I stayed at, restaurants, etc..  I’ve been tempted sometimes when I’d difficulty encounters, however, complacency always got the better of me and I guessed the hell with it.  Not this time, BestWay Moving was a dreadful experience.  I recently transferred my family (spouse and a three year old and 2 month old) out of NO. Virginia to Kansas City, MO; a project change.  The first quotation I had been given was $2,100, the last quantity after pick-up was $3,300.  I admit there were more boxes packaged then I said when supplying the first quote, and do not overly-quarrel together with the last weight (packing costs appeared to be haphazzardly implemented ).  But on the afternoon of pick-up, among those workers from BestWay scrutinized our condominium and said,”No more than $2,800″  Many times he repeated something to the scope of,”Do not worry, this won’t cost you more than $2,800; this will be the most”.  You may imagine my response in the last cost.  To mention that BestWay has been intransigent about the last cost could be an understatement, but at the point they’ve your things and really have the leverage in discussions. It took 11 days for us to recieve our things, no criticism there.  My spouse Chest of Drawers was in nice condition if it was picked up, upon delivery among those four legs was totally broken off, and the Insurance (it’s possible to purchase out of contract) would just pay $50 for a piece of furniture worth roughly $500. They refuse to substitute the Chest, and only quote the Insurance back clause in the contract.     My suggestion is that in the event that you go for BestWay, purchase the external insurance no matter what, since they will break something and odds are it is going to be furniture that’s valued greater than 50 bucks. Additionally, you almost have to tape your discussions together, since there’s a complete disconnect between what they say and what they stipulate on newspaper (the example I provided above is just one of several ).  In general, a dreadful experience.  We’re beginning afresh in KC and today must go out and buy a Chest that doesn’t match the remainder of the bedroom furniture, and will not be cheap!  Awful experience.

Move from Gainesville, VA to Washington, DC

Bestway movers (team of 3) were quite considerate, friendly, and professional throughout. They understood their company and kept us informed every step of the way.  They were not scared to ask questions to be certain they knew our expectations and also to be certain they had been comprehensive.  They’re always careful in their handling of their house and also made sure they weren’t careless or proceed too fast to harm walls or floors. They established free overnight storage to accommodate our needs to expedite and complete the movement in a timely fashion.   We’re Very Happy with the Whole experience.

    Bestway moving: choose someone else

I had a bad experience with Bestway moving in DC. Although, the earnings men were nice and responsive, the movers did a very messy job. Some antiques were ruined and two boxes were squashed. When I start the boxes, then the things I requested them to package was literally thrown to the boxes. More to the point, they dropped a box with electrical and electronics, worth $600 and they reimbursed me… $19.80 (insurance according to weight). If you really take care of your possessions, I’d suggest to use a different corporation.

    Long-distance move from Washington DC
Worstway Moving LLC - loook somewhere else!!

I’m coping with this dilemma during the BBB and also filed a claim for this business; later telling my buddies back in DC and VA of the numerous reasons why they must NOT use this business they invited me to write a review in as many forums as you can to possibly assist different costumers in their choice. Here’s the long-story brief:

Select up: I was originally told that they would be choosing up my stuff between 12:00 and 4:00pm nevertheless they didn’t showed up till 7:00 p.m and ended afterwards 11:00 p.m (the ruler in my prior apt was not any spat following 9:00 p.m), they never called me to notify me that they had been running late and if I called in 4:30, 5:00 p.m I had been told they’d be there at 6:00, subsequently 6:30….you have the notion.
The team was really nice and relatively quickly but they didn’t possess a tool-box in your mind to carry my mattress apart. They asked me when I needed a tool-box they might borrow (Id but it had been packaged already so they needed to return to the truck and also sew many boxes). Together with my resources and my aid we chose apart the bed – if I advised the supervisor of the scenario days after I had been informed that the team didn’t take”technical” instrument boxes; the mattress was purchased in IKEA and the tool-box was that the most elementary tool-box you might detect (paid $15.00 to this on Sears) along with the group used a few wrenches which are offered on any instrument box.

Shipping: the firm forecasted to CONFIRM 24hrs ahead that shipping was likely to be between 13:00 and 3:00 pm but once more they didn’t appear until nearly 7:00 pm; the motorist didn’t need to divide the trailer in the loading dock in my flat but he desired me to cover the space (in ft ) in the stage on the pier to where the trailer has been parked! In the end he consented to offer me a”reduction” and not bill me for all those additional feet.

State of the things : I had packaged the delicate stuff myself but I asked them to package different things like my Harman Kardon speakers along with also my big lamps. I was amazed that they didn’t take apart the lamps (it was nearly 11 pm at this time so I figure they, understandably, wanted to move home) and if I asked them when the lamps were likely to be OK they stated yes. Both lamps came with dings and heavy scrapes and a few of these is in so bad-shape that I can not keep it status. The speakers racks are also damaged beyond repair. My two CD racks were just wrapped partly and obtained here with deep and scrapes scratches. I’m still waiting to hear about my claim and I would be delighted to forward anybody the photos I sent the business combined with it.

Customer support: To be honest Jera attempted to assist when I spoke to her although the collection of explanations for my distinct complains (being overdue on pickup and shipping, harm to my things, over-charging mepersonally, etc) were just not okay. I had been told in a number of instances that it had been the essence of the company. Moreover, I’d asked specifically when they sub-contracted somebody to supply the things and I had been informed that no, that they would be bringing them. This wasn’t accurate, as there was yet another business delivering my things as well as the motorist wasn’t connected with the business whatsoever (his words: I do not understand anything about your arrangement with the firm, I only get hired to lose your belongings ).

Price:: I was quoted a first number and altohough I know that it is challenging for them to assume w/o regarding the amount of boxes along with the furniture, my own flat has been 1 bedroom 1 person flat (720 Square ft ) with just few furniture pieces. The last quote was over 100% more and if I asked the reason the miscalculation the response was that the products were larger than expected (they didn’t take the lamps aside, the huge TV console apart( anyhow ).

Bottomline: I’d strongly suggest that you to consider the following firm before selecting this one, especially if you’re likely to go from state. It’s a pity that this business isn’t controlled at all as because it appears normal for moving organizations to behave as though they do you a favor transferring your things eventhough they charge anything they need.

Addendum: After I’d put this exact same inspection in Yelp, the”director” Julia dared to phone my workplace into aggresively question that my why I had submitted my critique. I just ignored her and wrapped. Thus be careful with the provider.
